Hey, fairy tail fans, and welcome back to a fairy tail re-told. Today we have another filler chapter a few more of these then we will get into the next arc that I will explain when we get there but for now enjoy these small moments cause what's coming is going to make you wish you did
Fun fact: When I first started writing the Tenrou arc, Gildarts would have already known that Cana was his daughter; their relationship in the story would have mostly been Cana feeling that she couldn't live up to Gildarts and feeling that she was a disappointment to him.
Now let's get started.
"so, this is where it ends," Natsu said dramatically, the snow around him picking up as he stared off with Happy "this has been a long time coming, old friend," he said, smiling.
"once you were my friend," Happy said, "but this is war, and war has no place for mercy."
"looks like it's time to find out which one of us is stronger," Natsu said
"Aye," Happy said, "you're going down."
"you talk big for such a little cat," Natsu said as he picked up a snowball "now take this," he screamed as he and Happy engaged with their snowball fight. Behind them, Lucy looked at her two partners and best friends. As she shook her head as a snowball landed on her face
"you idiots" Lucy screamed "we're on the job," she shouted
"what" Natsu screamed
"you really shouldn't scream on a mountain. It could" Happy was interrupted when a mountain of snow landed on them. As Lucy stood up, she could see Natsu and Happy stuck in a snowball.
"I'm freezing here," Natsu muttered, "hey Lucy, please give us a tug here."
"Aye," Happy said, "it's cold in all the wrong places."
"well, seeing as I have your attention and your spines," Lucy said, "may I remind you bone heads that were here to work."
"but keeping this cat in line is work, Lucy," Natsu argued
"she has us stuck between the cold and a hard place, Natsu," Happy said
"your damn right I do," Lucy said "now make peace so we can get that Ice from mount Hakobe," she said
"I guess you got a little time," Natsu said, "but just you wait," he said
"I'll just have to strip you off your pride later," Happy laughed
"do you want out of there or not" Lucy growled
"Aye, ma'am"
The Labyrinth of white
Today we find our heroes once again tracking across Mt. Hakobe. Each member of fairy tail had deiced to split up and go on a different job Natsu Lucy, and Happy have each agreed to go on the Mt. Hakobe job that the client requested of them to find the mythical Mt Hakobe ice "so you wanna run this job by me again" Natsu asked.
"Our client wanted us to find the ice that is said to grow here," Lucy said, "he said that he was an ice manufacturer," she shouted back, "Hakobe ice is said to be indestructible, but with this special pen we should be able to cut it with this" Lucy held a special pen "so let's get this done."
"Alright," Natsu and Happy shouted
"so why do you think they want it," Happy asked
"I've heard that if it's applied to the skin, it will beautify the user's complexion," Lucy said, "or if you add it to any cooking, you end up with a culinary masterpiece."
"That so," Natsu asked, "should bring some back for Mira," Natsu whispered. "I also heard that it's an energy booster that can cure minor illnesses," he informed them. "Wendy was going on about it before she left with Erza," he said
"Maybe they wanted to make some popsicles," Happy asked
"man, this job sounds like it will be a pain," Lucy muttered. "I wish the others could have come with us."
"we're up to our necks in jobs," Natsu said "not to mention most of them are requested to fairy tail," he said, "so we had to split them up to get them all done."
"Aye," Happy said, "all we have to do is get some ice; we can handle that," Happy said "how hard could it be"
"I guess you're right," Lucy said "we've taken on much harder jobs than this. It will be a piece of cake" she smiled.
"and I remembered to pack us some snacks," Happy said as he pulled out his back, showing all the fish he had stored away.
"and since we have a fire wizard, we can cook them too," Lucy said
"do, what you want with yours? I want mine raw." as a deep breeze blew past them, "man, it's starting to freeze," he then dives bombed into Lucy's chest "much better."
"Hey, that's not your own personal igloo," Lucy shouted as the ground started to shake and a piece of the earth broke off "oh crap."
"that could have been us," Natsu said as he picked up the fish "we need to move," he screamed as they all were thrown off the cliff, sliding down the snow and turning into a giant snowball as they fell down the mountain as they landed on the ground "is everyone okay."
"has the world stopped spinning" Lucy muttered
"come on, Lucy," Happy said as Lucy groaned again "fine, you leave me no choice," he said as he started to tickle the girl "come on, wake up," Happy told her as Lucy began to laugh.
"oh crap, what happened," Lucy said
"all your shouting caused an avalanche," Natsu said, "and I think this blizzard is picking up," he said, "come on, we need to find that ice before we get stuck here."
"I don't think I want to climb that mountain again," Lucy said, "it looks dangerous."
"that's cause climbing for suckers," Happy said "you have me here," he said
"Sometimes I forget how useful you are," Natsu said
"and I might forget you," Happy shot back as he grabbed Lucy and started to fly up, only for the wind from the blizzard to start knocking him down as Natsu laughed
"Happy," Lucy screamed "are you sure you can fly in this" Lucy said "this storm would put Meredy's to shame," Lucy shouted, "at least you can fly in that one."
"My wings are in a blender," Happy screamed as they landed. Natsu continued to laugh.
"That wasn't funny, Natsu. I nearly freaking died," Happy and Lucy screamed.
minutes later, the group again was tracking through the snow; it was getting to the point that even Natsu was starting to feel it. "Hey Lucy, are we any closer," he asked.
"I don't know," Lucy said, "and we lost our map in that freaking Avalanche to make it worse."
"you go on ahead, Lucy," Happy said. "I'm going to look for that map in my dreams," Happy said
"oh no, you don't," Lucy shouted. "if you go to sleep, you'll freeze, and then we'll have to eat you, do you want that" Lucy cried. Natsu, use your fire to warm him up."
"Well, if you say so," Natsu said, "{fire dragon: roar}" he screamed, blasting Happy with his fire as the exceed landed on the ground.
"so hot," he groaned "no, now it's cold," he screamed
"man, a full-scale blizzard," Lucy said "we should have waited for the others," Lucy said, "the job sounded so easy when I was looking for it over."
"Why don't you call one of your spirits" Happy asked
"I just sent them all on vacation," Lucy said, "after everything with the phoenix, they needed a break."
"so, we're on our own," Happy said
"man, Wendy might have had a better chance of taking down this storm," Natsu said
"or even Gray," Lucy sighed "come on, let's stay focused."
"I know why this happened; one of you said how hard it could be," Happy said
"That was you, furball," Lucy screamed.
"let's not get into that," Natsu said "we need to keep moving so we don't freeze," he said, "now, which way."
"I don't know," Lucy said "if we knew which way was south, I'd say go that way," she sighed, "come on."
"Hey, look," Happy said, "a cave."
"look like we beat the jinx," Lucy said, "come on, we can wait out the storm." she smiled "hell, it's a five-star hotel in my book," she screamed, "come on."
"mush Natsu, mush," Happy shouted as they ran into the dark cave. Natsu lit his hand.
"wow, this place is huge," Natsu said, "come on, let's check it out."
"maybe we should stay at the entrance," Lucy reasoned "if this place is as big as it seems, we might get lost."
"come on, it will be fine," Natsu said
"Aye, sir," Happy said
"where do you boys get all this energy." Lucy groaned as she followed her friends
"man, this place looks like it goes on forever," Happy said
"yeah," Natsu said
"as fun as this sounds, let's get back to the entrance," Lucy said "we have gotten lost enough times for today," she said, "let's go back while we still know how."
"calm down," Natsu said. "I can still smell the entrance," Natsu said
"that cool and all, but there's something about this place," Lucy said, "it's weirding me out" behind them, the way they came seemed to fill with ice
Natsu stopped looking around. "Everything okay," Happy asked
"the air current changed," Natsu said
"how," Lucy said
"I couldn't tell you," Natsu said, "maybe there is more to this mountain than we give it credit for."
"Aye," Happy said as the ground started to shake

soon the stalactites on the top of the cave began to fall "move" Natsu screamed as the stalactites landed around them as they hit the ground "get to cover," Natsu said "{fire dragon: roar}" he shouted as he melted the ice before they hit the ground
"there still coming," Happy shouted
"We need to move," Natsu said
"I told you this cave was weird, but no, you never listen to me," Lucy shouted.
"We can have this argument if we survive this," Natsu shouted
"no," Lucy cried, "cause if we die, I'm so haunting you," she screamed as the ground caved in, making them all fall in as they landed and started to slide down a slippery slope that looked too much like a slide Happy gripped on
"I want to go home," he screamed as Natsu tried to balance himself "wait, I just remembered something," Happy said, getting his friend's attention. "Levy told me once about this living cave that moves around and stuff," he said, "no one who enters is said to come out alive."
"Thanks for letting us know we're screwed," Natsu shouted
"that would have been helpful two hours ago," Lucy screamed as they were launched off and landed on the ground
"Well, we finally hit rock bottom," Natsu said
"it's colder down here," Happy said
"it's like we're back in that storm," Lucy said "let's move before we start to freeze," she said as she followed Natsu.
"We need to find that exit," Happy said
"Natsu, are we there yet," Lucy asked, "please tell me you can smell it."
"no, not even a whiff," Natsu said as Lucy fell to the ground
"Sorry guys, but that was the last step I was able to take," Lucy said
"let's crawl," Happy said
"I can't go another step," Natsu said, "so hungry."
"I know we're trying to make them last, but we need to eat," Lucy said, "let's just eat them."
"Alright," Happy said as he opened his sack, "I thought I'd always have fish," he said as he held up the fish "please don't cook the one on the left."
"Alright," Natsu said as he cooked the two fish though the cave started to shift, knocking the fish into his flames and burning them to a crisp "oh shoot."
"you monster, how could you" Happy said, "I told you we should keep it raw."
"now, we're going to die," Lucy said "we've probably been in here for days," Lucy said. "I know Mira would have sent someone to find us, but they would have had to fight through a blizzard mountain and a cave," Lucy cried "we're going to die here," Lucy said. "I'd kill for some of her cooking."
"Mira stew sounds amazing," Natsu said
"stop talking about food," Happy groaned "it's only going to make us hungrier" turning over, he complained, "all that talk is making my tummy hurt"
"so sleepy," Natsu said as he fell asleep.
"oh no, you don't." Lucy and Happy screamed as they began to slap him awake
"turn back on my fire; you jerk," Happy screamed.
"we've been over this, you stubborn fool," Lucy shouted "you fall asleep, we die," Lucy screamed.
"fine, I'm awake," Natsu said "just give me a second," he said, "I'm just so tired."
"This is what it feels like," Lucy groaned, "to go days without sleeping."
"they call it the breaking point," Happy said, "wait, why do me and Lucy have to stay awake."
"your right," Lucy said "no complaints" okay."
"no, don't do this," Natsu said as Happy and Lucy fell asleep. "you assholes," Natsu said as he fell asleep.
"what the hell? You had one job," Lucy and Happy screamed
"I'll be good," Natsu screamed
"look like we're all in this together," Lucy said, "if we go to sleep, then Natsu will go to sleep," she let out a yawn, "and if we keep our eyes on each other, we should stay awake."
"Aye"
Lucy's dream
"thank you," Lucy said "this award means so much to me" Lucy smiled. "you have no idea how great it is it has the leave pen award in my hands " she smiled, "since my first book was such a hit, I'm going to work so hard on my next one," Lucy said before the dream changed again "wait, my awards a giant bathtub" Lucy smiled "hell yeah."
End dream
"did I work for this," Lucy asked as she stood up "of course I did? Why wouldn't I have worked for this," she said as she got undressed, getting into a small batch of water next to her.
Natsu dream
"so much yummy food," Natsu said
"yep, all this yummy food for my adorable little brother," Mira said as she bopped him on the nose" eat as much as you want."
"all right," Natsu said as he turned, seeing a small fire "and a spicy snack," Natsu said as he started to eat the Fiore."
End dream
"This fire is a little on the chilly side," Natsu muttered as he started to eat the ice around him.
"man, this warm water is great," Lucy said
"so many fish," Happy said as he floated around "don't mind me," he said as he jumped up, biting Lucy on the head and making the girl jump up, waking her up from her dream.
"get off me, furball," Lucy screamed as she looked around "what, where am I, and why am I naked."
"so many fish," Happy moaned. She fell off, landing in the cold water
"will you keep it down" Natsu screamed? "I'm trying to eat over here," he shouted as he punched the wall. The cave started to fall, as everyone ran out of the way
"Did anyone get crushed?" Natsu asked. "I'll make a light."
"you are not to make a light until I get dressed," Lucy shouted as she finished putting on her clothes "okay, I'm good," Lucy said,
"that's new," Happy said as the light illuminated the area. They saw a new formation.
"surface air," Natsu said, "no doubt about it."
"then that means it's our best way out," Happy said
"come on then," Lucy said "let go," Lucy said as they walked down a long hallway until they came to a massive wall of ice blocking the door
"our way out on the other side," Natsu said, "but this wall is in the way."
"come on then," Happy said, "you know what to do."
"Thanks for the pep talk," Natsu said "{fire dragon: talon}." Natsu screamed as he struck the ice wall, only for his attack to bounce off as he slid back "that's new."
"wow," Lucy muttered.
"come on, you can do it better," Happy said
"right," Natsu said as he gathered his magic power "{dragon slayer secret art: crimson lotus: fire dragons' fist}" he screamed as he let out an attack on the ice, only for the attack to bounce off again as Natsu slide back "damn it," Natsu said, "this ice is some stuff."
"not even Natsu can melt it," Happy said
[##Lucy and the power of celestial spirts##]
"wait," Lucy said, "that's it. I think this is Hakobe ice," Lucy said "that means we can melt it with this," she said as she made a door shaped hole with the pen, as it fell to the ground "nice," Lucy said
"Aye, sir," Happy said
"come on, let's harvest some of this," Natsu said
"right," Lucy said as she cut the ice into small cubes, placing them into the bag as a large rumble went off behind them.
"umm, what that" Happy said as a creature started to come from the ground "it's a monster."
"umm, hello," Lucy said, "nice place you have here," she laughed. "so, we're just going to take this and leave," Lucy said
"I don't think it's feeling generous, Lucy," Happy screamed
"We need to run," Natsu shouted as he grabbed the two and jumped on the ice door that they made, sliding away as the creature gave chase "you two okay."
"no, we are not," Lucy screamed as they slid outside
"outside air," Natsu said
"We got out of that blizzard," Happy said as the creature busted out of the cave.
"oh crap," Natsu said "hold on," he screamed as he jumped up, trying to the monster as he was slapped away, landing back into the door.
"be careful, you moron," Lucy screamed.
"I'm so tired," Natsu said, "and I think I'm getting sick."
"wait, this ice restores energy," Lucy said as she took out a cube she had "eat this now," she screamed and shoved it down his mouth.
"every brain freeze I've ever had just come back for seconds," Natsu screamed "wait," Natsu said as he stood up, "man, I feel refreshed."
"wow," Happy said, "it even cured Natsu's motion sickness."
"hold on" Natsu screamed as he started to slide around on the ice "let's do this," he called "yeah, this is fun," he shouted as they flew into the air "take this, you" he screamed "{fire dragons: iron fist}" he roared sending the creature into the pit they were jumping over as they all landed.
"That was awesome," Happy said, "and we got the ice."
"Now, let's get home," Lucy said as he ate some. "I'm dying for some of Mira's cooking."
"Aye, ma'am"

Natsu Happy and Lucy have conquered Mt. Hakobe and have completed their job. Like I said at the start, one more chapter, and we have another short arc which I will explain when I get there.
