"It was this way," he said, coming to a stop, "but whose voice was it," Natsu said as Mira grabbed his hand.

"we'll figure it out," she told him. she then caught someone walking up to them, "who's that" Mira muttered.

"I don't know," Natsu whispered, "I thought you were a trio," Natsu asked. "I guess thieves lie."

"I am no thief," the man said, "now chosen son, and chosen daughter," he screamed "regress," he shouted, "turn into the shadow of your past."

"what," Natsu said as he started to turn into his child self, "what the hell," Natsu noted as his voice began to crack, "why do I feel pint-sized."

"what type of magic is this," Mira asked. She reverted as well "my chest feels lighter, though," Mira whispered as she looked down "did he get bigger, or is just me," Mira asked.

"children," the man said, "are much easier to assassinate than adults."

"what the hell is this" Natsu asked, "why are we eight-year-olds."

"turn us back," Mira said as she tied her hair into a ponytail. It just felt right when she was in her eight-year-old body again.

"shut up," the man said, "my name is Doriate," he said, "I am a member of a dark guild."

"now, this has been a nice chat," Minerva laughed, "but how about a rematch," Minerva said, "though I doubt you're going to be much of a challenge in that state," she laughed.

"no, that would be my partner in crime, Doriate," Minerva said "the underworld has really opened my eyes," Minerva laughed "there's more to life than just proving you strong," she laughed "you and your friends taught me that" she gave a wicked grin "it's about how others view you and how you view them," she said "and I view everyone as ants," she said "pests that should bow down helpless children around me" she screamed "and I should be a queen, no a goddess untouchable by man" she smiled "and you Erza" she smiled.

"I will relish killing you."

"Just a reminder," Drake's voice called. "I always hit my mark," he screamed as he fired another hot the speed up.

"Wendy" Gajeel screamed as a hair jumped in the way

"what," Lucy asked as Flare got in front of them, a smile on her face "Flare."

"she's that chick from Raven tail," Gajeel said

"so, three girls and a guy walk into a forest," Flare said, "the blond and the blue there nice," she smiled, "the black has a few screws loose," she smiled, "but the red, oh yeah, she's crazy."

Sun village arc: The return of my demons

"Those people are in dire need of help," Warren said, "break the curse that is held on the village," Warren said, "that is your task, fairy tail."

"Alright," Natsu said, "I'll just melt it," Natsu said "those people will be nice and toasty," he said

"This is no ordinary ice, my boy," warren said "it may take more than your fire to melt it away," he said

The conversation with Warren left Natsu's mind again as he ran away with Mira close behind as he continued his search for the voice "where did I hear that voice" Natsu asked again "it's so quiet that I can't get a lock on it" he said as he tripped over falling on his face.

"Natsu, are you okay," Mira asked, running up to her brother. "I can barely put one foot in front of the other," she muttered.

"it's like we forgot how to run," Natsu said

"it causes we're not used to these bodies," Mira said "we probably weigh a lot less than we do now," Mira said, "talk about a great weight loss plan," Mira laughed.

"How long till this spell wears off," Natsu muttered,

"or maybe we have to beat him to get it to wear off," Mira said "this is such a hassle," she groaned,

"let's focus on finding that voice," Natsu said. "I don't know why but it's important."

"Alright," Mira said, "I'm right behind you."

"it's Flare, right," Wendy said. If she was being honest, she was still mad at the girl for the stunt she pulled at the grand magic games, but she just saved her life, so who was she to complain about the past "umm, thanks," she said

"I'm glad for the help," Lucy said, "but what are you doing here."

"isn't it obvious," Flare said, "I was following you" she smiled "don't you know, blondie, I'm always following you," she said, much to Lucy's horror as she thought back to the odd feeling she had, which meant that Flare had followed her around town, to her home even to her bath "I'm joking," she said as Lucy glared at her, "I told you I felt homesick so I came home," she said

"wait, so you're saying that you lived here," Wendy asked

"yes," Flare said, "when I was a little girl, these giants found me wandering the woods; they took me in, raised me, cared for me" she looked to see everything covered in ice, "and I couldn't protect them" she then shot a glare at Hiroshi and Rala "so I will avenge them" she screamed

"look, I don't really care for what you're saying," Hiroshi said, "but we didn't do this," he said

"We just wanna nab that flame," Rala said

"it's all the same," Flare said "that flame isn't some trinket; it's the sacred protector of our village," she screamed. "I won't let you take it," she called as she shot out an attack.

"she can stretch her hair," Rala asked.

"then I'll trim it down," Hiroshi shouted as she turned his sword into a chainsaw, cutting down Flare's hair as she backed up.

[## Lucy's turn ost##]

"{open gate of the giant crab: Cancer}" Lucy screamed as Cancer appeared

"I got your do down, babe," Cancer said as he started fixing up Flare's hair "some of my scalp treatment will make it flow like never before," he said

"wow, this feels so nice," Flare noted "thanks, blondie."

"were here to save the village," Lucy told her, "so we'll do whatever we can to help you," she said

"really," Flare smiled, "thank you so much."

"it's what we do," Gajeel said

"yeah, together we can do this," Wendy said

"Alright," Flare said. "I'm ready," she screamed as she attacked Hiroshi. sending him into the bushes

"Take this," Rala screamed as he slammed his hammer on the ground as Wendy and Gajeel landed a kick on him.

"you got a lot of trouble coming your way," Gajeel said

Drake then opened fire as Lucy jumped out of the way, landing on the ground "round two, Sagittarius," Lucy screamed

"howdy do," Sagittarius said "look like you still need to learn," Sagittarius called as he fired his arrow, blocking all the shots

"Why won't you die" Drake screamed

"while he's doing that," Lucy said, "{open gate of the maiden: Virgo}" Lucy screamed as Virgo appeared.

"you summoned me, princess," Virgo said

"I need you to dig around that guy," Lucy asked

"What a clever plan," Virgo said "up up and away," she screamed as she landed on the ground.

"Virgo, are you okay," Lucy asked.

"I'm unscathed," Virgo said, "but so is the ground; it would seem that some sort of magic is protecting it." a shot went off as Sagittarius fell back.

"Forgive me, lady Lucy," Sagittarius called before fading away

"oh no," Lucy said

"I always hit my mark," Drake said "you wizards don't stand a chance," he screamed.

"Take this," Flare shouted as Hiroshi cut her hair again "this hair was gifted to me by the divine flame; it has never let me down," she screamed "{firefly flame}" she shouted.

"take this" Gajeel screamed. He attacked Rala as he backed up as Wendy landed in front of him.

"I'm going to squeeze you till you pop," he screamed as he grabbed Wendy "you'd need a superman grip to get out that one," he shouted as Wendy struggled "Wendy," Gajeel called. A bullet grazed his skin as he backed up.

"not so fast," Drake called. as Gajeel jumped back

"I got to help her," Flare called, only to be pulled back "what with my hair" she called as she saw Hiroshi tying it into a knot around a tree "what."

"tied up is a good look for you, my dear." he laughed as he looked around "time to wrap this up; you wizards are helpless against real power," he bragged "maybe if you trained for another ten years, you could stand a chance" he laughed "then again maybe not cause this is real power." he laughed.

"man, these guys are as dumb as they look," Lucy laughed "you'd think you'd know when a group of wizards is holding back, she laughed.

"give me some credit Lucy," Gajeel told her "there not wizards," he said, "just bags filled with hot air if you ask me," he said

Wendy had calmed down as they looked at her "grant me the stalwart might clean the heavens." Wendy screamed as she busted free shocking Rala

"you know tying up my hair doesn't make it any less powerful, right," Flare asked.

"what" Hiroshi managed out before he was tied up as Flare then broke free.

"what no, how can we lose," Drake called "were."

"dead meat," Loke asked as he stood on top of him.

"yeah," Lucy screamed, "you'd need to train for at least a hundred years if you want to beat us," she shouted.

"you ready, Gajeel" Wendy asked.

"you bet," Gajeel screamed as they punched Rala away

"{Hair shower: thousand birds}" Flare called as she attacked Hiroshi, sending him away

"sayonara" the group screamed as they were flung away

"That was a nice workout," Gajeel said as he cracked his knuckles

"that's one problem down," Lucy said

"yeah," Flare smiled

In the skies, Happy, Carla, and Lily continued searching for Natsu and Mira. "Natsu, Mira," Happy called.

"am I the only one who finds it ironic that we're herding cats" Carla groaned?

"Natsu wouldn't have run off if it wasn't for a reason," Lily reasoned

"yes, cause of a voice he heard in a puddle," Carla started before grabbing both and pulling them into a tree

"Carla, are you sure" Happy joked

"not the time, Happy," Lily screamed

"quiet," Carla said as she pointed up as they saw the cyclopes creature flying above them "what is that," Carla asked.

"I don't know," Happy whispered.

"How are we going to fly with that thing on patrol," Carla asked

"We can't," Lily told her

"let's hope we find Natsu and Mira before that thing does," Happy said, "or worse, find us."

"let it pass," Lily said, "then we need to move."

"Aye"

Erza frowned as she backed up "you said this was a fight to the death," Erza said, "why you don't have to do this" she asked, "people still care about you," she tried to reason.

"you've kept me talking for a while," Minerva smiled, "but this is your end Titania, she screamed as she set off more explosions around Erza, sending her to the ground "look at you, six hits in and already on your knees" she smiled "when I take revenge there are no survivors" she smiled "I'd tell you to remember that for next time, but there won't be the next time" she screamed. as she started to blow up Erza

"there no way I can win in this body," Erza muttered "what do I need to do to undo the spell? Beat the caster; I don't even know where he is."

Minerva let out a sadistic laugh "look at you, nothing but a helpless lamb," Minerva said. "I could end you in a moment, but I have a lot of stress to get off my chest after you beat me in the street with a halberd," she laughed as Erza let out screams of pain. "I had no idea this would be so much fun," she screamed.

"Damn it," Natsu said as he ran through the woods, "why can't this voice meet us halfway."

"Just come on," Mira said, "as she helped Natsu across a log "we need to stay together," Mira said, "our magic isn't working like it's supposed to, and I think it's affecting our magic power as well" Mira explained.

"I know," Natsu said, "just like old times, Mira."

"yeah," Mira laughed. "I forgot how cute you were," Mira said, pinching his cheeks.

"Stop it," Natsu shouted as he ran off again. "man, come on, why don't I remember where that voice came from" he screamed as he climbed to the roof, "and when are we going to turn. Into an adult again."

"I thought that when I came home," Flare started, "I would be happier," Flare admitted,

"so, these giants took you in," Lucy asked "even though you were a tiny human," she asked

"Giants have a bad rep," Flare admitted, "but they were always kind to me." she smiled "they took me in and raised me" he looked at the frozen giants, "but even though they treated me as if I was one of them, I could tell that we were different," Flare said "so I left," Flare said, "for the first time I saw people I was horrified."

"So, how did you end up with Raven tail," Gajeel asked.

"I didn't have any skills other than with my hair," Flare admitted, "so I ended up in the streets; Ivan offered me a job," she smiled, "and as such, I became a member of Raven tail," she said "a guild built on its hatred of Magnolia" she frowned "but their hatred had to be justified right," she said "they're so kind to me" Flare whispered, "so we had to be the light to their darkness." Flare looked away. "I was such a fool."

"Hey, it's okay," Wendy spoke up "trust me, I understand more than you know" she smiled.

"yeah," Gajeel agreed. "Ivan has a way with people," Gajeel told her "don't let him get you down."

"But I messed up," Flare said

"and you saved our lives," Lucy told her, "so I think that more than makes up for it" she smiled.

"so, the village," Wendy asked, "it was like this when you arrived."

"yes," Flare said. "I don't know what did this, but it should have done this somewhere else," Flare told them "these giants don't deserve this," she said, tears filling her eyes "they're so kind to me, and now."

"hey, it will be okay," Lucy said

"yeah," Wendy said, "they're still alive in the ice," Wendy said, "and we can find a way to free them."

Gray and Juvia walk back to the village. "Juvia thinks we are lost."

"man, this sucks," Gray muttered "first Natsu runs off, then we lose Lucy and the others" Gray sighed as he saw Doriate walking "hey, you there" he then turned, "woah."

"They really are becoming a nuisance," Doriate muttered "splitting up, then appearing one at a time," he growled.

"the hell is with that mouth" Gray screamed

"big fangs you have there," Juvia whispered

"All the better to eat you with," Doriate shouted "oh yeah," he screamed. He used his art of regression as Juvia and Gray turned into children.

"umm, Gray," Juvia asked, "why did you go from tall and hunky to tiny and adorable," Juvia asked, ", and so has Juvia."

"what the" Gray asked "how," he asked, "no, I'm a child again" he started to hyperventilate. his mind was going back to when Deliroa had attacked his home and how he lost his mother and father "no," Gray screamed as Doriate attacked as Juvia pushed him out the way."

"Gray," Juvia said as Doriate stood up.

"I see he's having flashbacks," he laughed "you're not the first one to have some of those," he said, "but you are definitely the loudest."

"no, Deliroa," Gray screamed.

"Stay back," Juvia said. "Juvia will" she stopped when Doriate grabbed her "you in no position to do anything, little girl," Doriate said "you fairy tail guys are getting real close to the gates of the netherworld," he said "in fact, your right on top of it," he said "at least you won't have far to go when dying" he laughed.

"Juvia is not scared of you," Juvia said, "she will not give in to her fear again."

"fear," Gray whispered as he thought of Ur and Ultear and how they sacrificed everything about their last interactions.

"you know I always cursed my lot in life; I blamed the world for all the troubles that I had, for the roads I didn't travel" Gray turned around he saw her Ultear smiling at him, "but thanks you, I gained a new lease on life, I learned to move on and let the past go, you saved me, Gray," she said "never forget that," she said as her mother Ur walked next to her "and I merely returned the favor. because thanks to you I was finally able to let go, I was finally able to find true happiness" she turned, changing into a child as she grabbed her mother's hand "hopefully in the next life," Ultear said, "you and I will still be family."

"Thank you, Gray," Ur's voice came, "thank you for saving her; now I can finally be with her" she smiled "you and Lyon take care of each other; I love you both," she turned as they walked away, disappearing in the wind.

" I will take your darkness. I'll seal away."

"don't lose her too," Doriate reacted as he backed Gray froze his hand as gray grabbed Juvia.

"Are you okay?" Gray asked

"Juvia is fine," Juvia said, "are you."

"you need to run," Gray said, "let me handle this."

"no," Juvia said, "I am staying right by your side," Juvia noted, "no matter what," she smiled, "together, our love can beat this thing."

"right," Gray said as he looked around, "cages of ice, demons, childhood, and moon drip" Gray shook his head "everything I wanted to avoid, I found," he smiled, as he looked at Juvia 'but this time I have you by my side' he thought to himself as he looked back at Doriate "so did you do this? "Gray asked

"maybe I did," Doriate said, "what will you do about it."

"Well, first," Juvia said, "Juvia will tell you your ice smell like poopie," Juvia screamed.

"then I'll show you the real deal," Gray said "you got into my head, sure," Gray smiled, "but that won't happen again."

"we're taking you down."

Erza fell to the ground as Minerva towered over her, a smile on her face as she walked up to her "what do you say we end this" she grabbed her sword "that face," she smiled. "I will cherish it," she smiled, "as I take your final breath."

"That mountain," Natsu said, "that is where the voice is coming from."

"Alright," Mira said. "I'm right behind you."
