"Cpar! Cpar!" I exclaimed to myself as I paced back and forth, stepping over Marth's body each way. "Hwo aer we giong to egt otu of heer nwo?!"

Here's why I got no good answers to that question: Ryu was taking a nap, so he was unresponsive. Little Mac stared at me for a second but then decided that answering my question would be too much work right for him at the moment -after all, he did already do a lot last chapter- and began studying an old rug HMS had stapled to the ceiling instead. Link and Young Link were in the middle of the most intense tic-tac-toe game in their... Life? Lives? You know what I meant. And Marth... Well, he did actually try to reply to me but I was kinda already talking to anyone but him.

After the third time I stepped over his legs, Marth looked up at me. "Yuo knwo," he began to say, rather slowly. "We cuold jsut wiat nad ese if three-"

"Shhhhhh shhh shhh shhh shhh shhhhh," I said, putting one of my index fingers against his mouth. "I dot'n crea abuot whta yuo hvae to sya- ACK!"

Suddenly, a ball of light engulfed the area. We all screamed as our surroundings became nothing but whiteness. With my eyes closed, I started to try and feel my way around.

"Hey, hey guys- OH MY GOSh I CAN TALK AGAIN!" I exclaimed while feeling around, finding a body, and beginning to hug. "This is great! The reader can understand my witty banter once more! Yaay!"

"That's great, Ants!" Marth replied, hugging me back.

"Ew," I said, quickly letting go of him. I began to feel my way around again and suddenly found myself holding a giant bicep. "Oh, sweet! You must be Ryu!" I exclaimed as I began hugging him instead. While doing so, I turned to the direction I figured Marth was still standing in. "No offense, Marth, I just recently realized that I don't care about you. Like, at all. I bet you're a great character in whatever how many Fire Emblem games, but I've never played them. Or watched someone play them. I only know you from SSB, and from that, all I've gathered is that you're a goody-goody that's rich and I seriously can't get behind that."

"But- but I'm so much more than that!" Marth exclaimed from a completely different direction than I thought he was. "I also-"

"Oh, and there's also the fact that I've played some Fire Emblem games and they all mention how amazing you were, but I never got to see you be amazing. So there's that, too. That, and I seriously care more about Kellam than I care about you."

"Who's Kellam?" Young Link exclaimed. And considering the fact I can hear scraping noises from where he was yelling I'm just going to assume he and Link were still playing tic-tac-toe even though it was probably impossible to see the game.

"Why are you hugging me?" asked a very confused Ryu.

"Exactly," I replied as the light began to fade away. "Oh, and because."

When we could all finally see again, Ness and Pac-Man were staring into the hole. "See? I told you, you shouldn't have given them their English back!" Pac-Man said to Ness, ignoring the fact he just witness a king get roasted by a teenager. "We let them be able to talk again for one minute and feelings immediately get hurt!"

Ness rolled his eyes. "Yeah, I know. But how would we be able to progress the plot if I didn't do that?"

Pac-Man, hand holding his chin, nodded in agreement. "Fair. Fair."

I let go of Ryu and pushed him aside, causing him to fall to the ground. "Ness, is that really you? It must be you! Oh, thank goodness you're here, Ness!" I declared throwing my hands up. I then just gave a half-hearted wave to Pac-Man. "Hey, yellow guy."

"And just like that, I'm leaving," he said as he began walking out the door that leads to the front room. "I'm going to go find Gannondork and Jigglypuff, not that any of you care. Bye-"

The moment Pac-Man stepped into the other room, HMS tackled him and began wrestling him on the moldy floor. "Oh, no! My wife warned me this would happen to me someday!" the yellow man screamed as HMS trying to strangle him, but then realized he didn't have a neck. "Alright, old man, who is possessing you? Is it Clyde? Pinky? Answer me!"

Ness closed the door before we could witness anything else. That was probably for the best. "Ness! Hurry!" I exclaimed as he walked back to the edge of the hole. "Get in here! I need your help!"

Ness placed his hands on his hips and tilted his head. "Shouldn't I go get help, not jump in with you guys?"

I rolled my eyes. "Just trust me on this!" I declared, holding out my hand, beckoning him to jump in with us.

"Waaaait," Link looked up from the tic-tac-toe game that just got tied again and raised an eyebrow at me. "Wasn't trusting you what got us in this situation in the first place?" he asked a Young Link set up another game. No rest until one beats another!

"Uhhh, maybe? I am your writer, after all." I rubbed the back of my neck and sheepishly replied. "Can we not focus on those details, please? And just let Ness jUMP DOWN HERE OR I SWEAR I'LL WRITE YOUR BEDROOM OUT OF THE FANFIC! DON'T TRY ME!"

Ness looked up at the ceiling and did a heavy sigh. "I should have stayed in Onett..." he muttered to himself before jumping into the hole.

"Welcome, brother! To the pit of despair!" Young Link called out to Ness as Link scribbled an X in the middle of the tic-tac-toe game.

Ness gave a half-hearted wave to the blonde and then turned to me. "So, what do you want?"

I placed my hands on my hips and smiled. "I want you to let me walk behind you and follow as you run around in circles!" I declared.

The child gave a confused look, but then perked up. "Ohhh! My teleporting trick!" Ness snapped his fingers while saying this.

"Yup!" I said as I snapped back.

Suddenly, the door threw open and there stood HMS, with a confused Pac-Man under his left arm.

"Are you sure you're not possessed by one of those ghosts that always try to chase me?" he asked the mask salesman for the dozenth time. "You give off a vibe of being possessed by an Inky."

HMS looked down at the yellow guy for a moment, but then crooked his head back down at us. "What... Is the meaning of this?" he slowly asked us, while tightening his grip on Pac-Man's non-existent neck.

All us in the hole shared a look. I then shoved Ness, giving him a hint that it was time to run around in circles. He took the hint and the two of us teleported out of there.

You know, I never thought the villain of this fanfic would turn out to be a man running a small business, but hey, here we are.
