Yajima smiled as he watched the thunder legion do busy work, hoping to keep their minds off of Makarov's death "what a tragedy," Yajima sighed. "Maki, my old friend," he said, "I will see you again someday."
"how is Porlyusica doing" Freed asked
"she's taking it well," Yajima said, "though she becomes more reclusive," he sighed, "the spark between them still excited," shaking his head, "this is a dark day," he said
"what do you mean" Freed asked
"Era stands as the headquarters for the magic council," Yajima said, "and as such, it's the place that holds the magic world together," he said, "and as a member of the magic council, we are the ones who make the rules and make sure that things go the way they're supposed to" he sighed "btu it had it's on a fair share of problems, our lapse in judgment, Jellal" he sighed "when I finally stepped down I felt a weight lifted off my shoulders." he sighed "but strong opposition will always rise to those with authority."
I guess you're right," Freed said. "Master Makarov always told me that" he stopped "that as wizards standing together and living in harmony was our greatest strength."
"wise words," Yajima said, "though Mavis had to beat into him" Yajima laughed.
"Hey, has anyone seen Laxus" Evergreen asked as she walked in
"he's probably taking some time to himself," Bickslow said. "I mean, the guy just lost this grandfather," Bickslow said. "I'm surprised he came with us," Bickslow said
"yeah, I know," Evergreen said, "but still, we lost him too," Evergreen admitted as the doors opened. "Laxus," Evergreen said as someone walked into the place, his face covered by a hood "may I help you" the man looked at them before smiling, only saying one word

"Boosh," the building exploded, sending everyone to the ground as Yajima stood up. As the man looed kat him as he walked up to him, "Kaboom," he whispered as everyone in the area was blown back, sending them away.
"Mr. Yajima," Evergreen screamed, "take this {fairy machine gun: leprechaun}" she shouted as the man turned around.
"What is that guy" Freed asked, "he took all of us down in one strike."
"Nothing can save you," he said "inferno," he screamed, and a large fire broke up, sending them to the ground "now die," he said, "the netherworld has come for you."
"netherworld, so they're not just going after current members of the magic council," Freed asked "oh no, Mr. Yajima," he screamed. as a bolt of lightning struck the ground. "Laxus," he cried.
"those are my friends you're messing with," Laxus said. "I need to get some frustrations out," Laxus smiled, "so why don't you pick on someone your own size."

"You and these last-second saves," Evergreen cried.
"bout time Laxus" Yajima said
"you," Laxus growled "you were there," he said, "who are you."
"I don't know who you are," he said, "but I have no name," he said "you may simply call me the demon of disaster," he said
"he's here to kill Yajima," Evergreen said
"is that so," Laxus asked as he turned back "you're going down," as the man stopped tearing off his hood. It fell to the ground as Laxus backed up in horror "he's not human," Laxus muttered "he's a demon," he said
"yes, know, I know," he said "your air is the same," he said, "you are related to that man that sent me to hell core."
"That was my grandpa, you bastard," Laxus said, "and I will pound you to the dirt," he screamed.
"you will see him again soon," the man said "Boosh," he whispered as he flew at Laxus, who turned to lightning and jumped out of the way as he landed on the ground "what I missed," he said as he turned around "stay still and face me coward" he screamed as Laxus landed behind him as he turned to see him staring down at him.
"this still enough for ya," Laxus asked
"what" he screamed
"{Lightning drakon: Jaw}" Laxus screamed as he slammed the demon to the ground creating a large explosion as Laxus looked him over "yeah, he's down," he said, "as much as I want to kill you, Mavis is going to want to ask you some questions."
"no one is manlier than you," Evergreen screamed elsewhere. Elfman sneezed
"Nicely done," Freed said "he has a lot to answer for
"so, what do we do with him," Laxus asked, "we need to find a safe way to move him."
"We should try to contact Kinana," Freed said, "she and Mira are the two most qualified to deal with this thing."
"right," Laxus said
"enhanced interrogation time" Evergreen smiled
"Stop it," Yajima screamed
"being of your power does exist," the man said, sitting up as Laxus backed up in shock. "I would never have guessed the surface had power like you," he smiled "our battle is not yet finished," he said as he stood up "however, I can tell that you merely call your friends," he smiled, "but I will complete my mission before I die."
"what are you going on about," Laxus asked, "no one dying."
"a great many people are about to die" he smiled as he raised his hand "my body shall make it so," he said as he slammed his and through his chest, much to Laxus' horror as he coughed up a strange brown-colored blood, he smiled as he started to fall his body began to decay the blood started to evaporate and to turn to a mist as his body vanished from sight
"what," Yajima said
"he turned into a mist" Bickslow shouted
"humans cannot escape disaster," a voice came "this mist is filled with bane particles," he explained "it will seek out and destroy any Ethernano it can find"
"but living beings are filled with Ethernano," Freed shouted.
"Right you are, and as such, this will cause magic Deficiency Disease and bane sickness" as everyone started to fall to the ground "first you will be stripped of your powers, and then you will be stripped of your lives," he laughed "I would have started with this attack, but I have to be reborn every time I use it," he said, "do not worry, he said you will see your grandfather soon."
"damn you," Laxus muttered.
"We need to move," Yajima called as he fell over.
"no, Mr. Yajima," Evergreen called as she fell to the ground, Bickslow falling behind her.
"no," Freed said, "we have to do something."

"no," Laxus said, "no one is going to die," Laxus screamed "no one else," he shouted as he opened his mouth and started to consume the bane particles in the air as it all started to go away 'that twice you underestimated me" Laxus shouted "first you underestimated my magic and then you underestimated my lungs" he screamed.
"Laxus, stop," Freed called.
"There is no way you're talking me out of this," Laxus said, "but you can make sure they get home safe," he screamed as she finished consuming all the air Laxus fell to the ground. 'Natsu,' he thought, a smile coming to his face, 'I leave the rest to you, kid; I know you'll do me proud.'

In the fairy pub, Natsu, Mira, Mavis, Elfman, Laki, Levy, Jet, and Droy stood in front of the door to the medical room Mavis paced in front of the door as Wendy came out "please tell me what happened to them" she shouted "please tell me that you can do something" she begged.
"I'm sorry, master," Porlyusica said as she turned Laxus, Freed, Evergreen, Bickslow, and Yajima lay in medical beds "they received high amounts of bane particle infections," she sighed "small amounts of it have proven to be lethal," she told them "recovery is improbable" letting out a sigh "and in Laxus case it's much worse," she said "it's a miracle that he's gotten this far."
"Mavis," Freed's weakened voice came, "please, ma'am, be proud," he said," the mist," he said "would have gone everywhere if Laxus didn't do what he did" he smiled "he saved us all" Freed smiled "so much poison and Laxus breathed in as much as he could, so it didn't reach the town," he said
"The town was successfully evacuated," Mavis said, "all thanks to you" she smiled at him "you did well get them back home safely" she frowned while Laxus did by time for some of the townsfolk to escape; however, there was a small percentage that had been affected. Fortunately, it was only a tiny amount, but according to Riana. However, a death toll has begun.
"so, the people are safe," Freed asked "then it was worth it," he said, "you need to know," Freed said, "the person that did this was a demon, called himself the demon of disaster," he told her as he passed out.
"maybe" Porlyusica muttered "if you kids can get me a sample of the demon's blood I could create an antidote for it" she looked at Laxus a sense of pride coming over her 'don't worry Maki' she thought to herself 'I'll continue to watch over him in your stead"
"But we have no idea where it is," Mavis said "demon of disaster"
"Grandpa," Laki whispered as she placed a hand on his head "please be okay," she whispered.
"he's going to make it through, right" Droy asked
"of course, he will," Jet said, "right Levy."
"I don't know," Levy whispered.
"they're targeting former council members," Mavis asked. "what could they hope to gain," she asked, "but as right now we have no choice," Mavis said, "it clear that tartaros is moving and planning to destroy the magic world as we know it," Mavis said as she wiped the tears from her eyes as Natsu and Mira nodded.
"This means war."

"Are you alright, Tempester?" Kyoka asked, "to end up in hell's core again so soon?" she asked.
"I am fine," Tempester said, "and my name, you know it," he said "thank you, but I will forget it again," he said, "I should apologize."
"no," Kyoka said, "however, seeing as you used your bane particles, it will take a while to regenerate you."
"I see," Tempester said, "how long."
"Under normal circumstances, a few days, but we have another vat in use," Kyoka explained.
"was another of the nine defeated," Tempester asked
"no," Kyoka said, "my child and demon fledgling" Kyoka smiled as she turned to another vat. "I want you to meet Minerva."
"I hope she turns out better than that nut case Doriate," Franmalth called as he walked up to them "he must have cost this guild a fortune," he said, laughing, "and bringing you back is not cheap either," Franmalth shouted "so you better had a good reason this time" he screamed, "don't tell me another wizard saint got to you."
"No," Tempester said, "this one was a child of him," he said, "his name was Laxus Dreyer" he in the vat over Minerva reacted to the name.
"looks like you little lady knows who they are," Franmalth said
"yes," Kyoka said "Laxus Dreyer must be a member of a wizard team known as Fairy tail" she smiled, "from what I remember, the seven kin and they had it out seven years ago."
"ah yes, I remember that," Franmalth said laughing, "I thought they destroyed each other," he said
"well, it looks like fairy tail lives on in spirit," she smiled "if they were strong enough to match the seven kin, then they might provide a challenge to the nine demons," she laughed "however they cannot stop us," she said, "for our plan will take them out in one strike."
"How are we to fight an enemy we know nothing about" Erza muttered "have you gotten in contact with Meredy," she asked.
"no," Wendy said
"But we do know this," Lucy said "there clearly attacking former members of the council," Lucy said, "not just current members either; anyone's that's been on the council is at risk."
"so, all we gotta do is hang with some former council members," Gray said
"not easy," Mira said "all former council members' addresses are kept secret," she explained
"why's that" Happy asked
"they've made a lot of enemies," Carla said, "who knows who might want to take revenge."
"not entirely true," Loke called as he appeared next to the group. "I might not know all of them," he said, "but I can point you to a few."
"Wow, really," Lucy asked.
"how do you have information like that" Wendy asked to which Loke just smiled
"figures," Lucy sighed "well, thanks to Loke being well Loke," Lucy said "we have a start," she said
"I can point you to three," Loke said
"Four," Gajeel said. "I stayed with a former council member in my younger years," he smiled. "I'll give her a ring.
"Alright, so we have a plan," Mavis said
"so, are you going to cut us in" a voice called? They turned to see Cana standing at the door behind her was Kinana, Elfman, and Laki; fairy tail might have gone to war, but that doesn't mean they have to go alone," she said, winking.
"Are you sure?" Mavis asked
"those bastards took my master from me," she said, "then they hurt my family," she said "so yeah," she said, "I'm looking for a little payback," she smiled, "and it's not just me" she took them outside of their meeting room where a large group of wizards from Magnolia where standing "we all want to stand with fairy tail;" she smiled "hell the other guilds are raring to go to," she said winking "after all you have done for us," she said "we'll help in any way that we can"
"yeah," the group shouted.
"I'm not going to lie to any of you," Mavis said "this is a battle that many of us may not return from," Mavis said "we are facing an enemy that might be as mysterious as my children and me," she said "an enemy that wants to destroy the world as we know it," Mavis said "so I won't be mad at any of you who want to stand down," Mavis said "but if you do," she said "we aren't fighting for the safety of magnolia," Mavis said "not this time, no we are fighting for the world as we know it" she screamed as the crowd let out a cheer.
Elfman stood over Evergreen behind him in the medical room, and Cosmos sat next to Laxus. The doors opened as Natsu and Mira came into the room. As they stopped looking at them
"don't worry," Elfman said. "I'll find that demon," Elfman said. "I promise you're going to be okay."
"the jig is up," Mira laughed as she went to Laxus. "Freed told us what you did," she smiled, "for those people" she smiled at him.
"you've come a long way, big guy," Natsu said, "get some rest."
"Yeah, you do that," Cosmos said "don't go seeing the old man in the sky just yet," she told him. "I'll find that demon and get his blood," she said "you just stay here and rest"
"don't you all worry," Miko's voice said as she came into the room with towels and water "while you all are out there saving the world, I'll be here to take care of them"
"thank you," Natsu said
"yeah," Mira said, "don't know what we'd do without you," she said as the girl gave a wink.
"be sure to be safe out there, kay."
"so that's the story," Lucy behind her stood Natsu, Happy, Carla, and Wendy said in front of them was a former member of the magic council Michello "if you don't mind, we would like to stay and watch over you."
"I don't need your protection," Michello shouted "while I appreciate the sentiment, you'll just be a nuisance," he said, "how did you find out where I live anyway."
"Why do we always get the stubborn ones," the group thought
"come, we can talk this out," Happy said, "cat to cat."
"Who are you calling a cat" Michello shouted. "I know all about your troublesome lot," he said "your fairy tail, I'm sorry, but you need to use someone else as bait," he screamed.
"Tartaros would have come after you regardless," Carla said, "whether we were here or not." she said, "oh, and by the way, you're welcome."
"Grandpa," a voice called the group turned to see Michelia Michello's granddaughter "these people came to help you," she said as she sat several drinks down "we should do what we can to help," she shouted as Michello turned away "you were apart of that council."
"tell me," Michello asked, "Was it true that Makarov" he stopped the saddened look on Natsu's face; it was all he needed to see to get his answer. "I see," he said. "I hear the two of you were close," he said. "I'm sorry for your loss."
"do you think you can tell us why," Lucy asked "what could Tartaros could have to gain from attacking former council members"
"There are many reasons that someone could attack the council," Michello said, "over the years, we have made many enemies."
"I doubt it was for some vendetta," Carla said "if that were the case, they would have stopped at the current members," she said, "or attacked the members that they felt were a threat," she said
"then what could it be, though," he said, "no, wait, it couldn't be something terrible," he said, "called FACE," he shouted.
"what's" Natsu stopped "you smell that," Natsu said " get down," he screamed as he grabbed Lucy Wendy ran up to Michello and Michelia, holding them as the house exploded, sending everything to the ground.
"we're under attack," Wendy shouted as the smoke cleared
"that attack was massive," Michelia asked "how are we still alive" as Natsu let out a burp
"haven't had to eat that fast since Tuesday," he muttered as some landed-on top of the rubble
"and here, I thought you'd all be so dead I couldn't tell apart the bodies," he laughed "at least that's how it was at the magic council," the voice said. Everyone turned to see Jackel standing on a roof
"so, I'm guessing you with Tartaros," Natsu asked as he turned to face him
"yeah," Jackel asked, "who asking."
"Natsu Dragneel," Natsu said, "and I'm going to hurt you."
