Nicky laughed at the sight of Mr. Peterson getting unconscious. The bastard had it coming, after all. Rosalina joined in on the laughter as well, after all, she literally did want this to happen. The broke boy and the princess found themselves leaning against each other, laughing at the old man's misfortune, with the Lumas laughing as well because they enjoyed encouraging their ruler's happiness.

R.O.B. and I watched as they gang laughed. "I don't know if this means you guys are bad people or not," I mumbled to myself while still riding on R.O.B.'s shoulders. I then shrugged. "Whatever," I said as I motioned the robot to head to the elevator. "You guys can continue becoming unsympathetic on your own time. R.O.B. and I shall find Palutena alone! Together! Ain't that right, R.O.B.?"

"Beep beep bip beep!" the robot agreed, picking me up and tossing me into the air.

"Awww, yeah! I'm so glad I decided to write you as my now-friend!" I said as I landed feet first on the ground. I then turned to the Lumas that were still holding the elevator rope. "We still need a lift," I reminded them.

They all nodded -one even saluted me- and began lowering the elevator. It took five minutes for the elevator to finally appear ("Was it on the top floor?" I asked one of the Lumas. A blue one nodded. "Ahhh, makes sense. The ninth floor is pretty high up there."), and once it did, the person inside refused to one the doors.

"You got to be kidding me," I said as I rolled my eyes. I walked up to the doors and tried to pride them open myself, but with no prevail. "Oh, come on! Other people want to use the elevator too, you know!" I yelled at whoever was inside.

"Bloody hell I'll come out!" A drunkard's voice boomed from inside the shaft. "I'm not leaving until the buggers at Nintendo let me into their smash game!"

Rosalina looked up. Nicky and she were drawing profanities on Peterson's face when she heard that familiar voice. "Jack? Seriously?" she said as she got up and floated over to the doors. "Jack? Jack, listen to me, darling, you have to leave. You don't want the police called on you again, do you?"

"No, but this is worth the risk in my book! Ain't coming out!" was the reply she got back.

R.O.B. rolled his eyes as an expression of annoyance came across Rosalina's face. "You'll have to excuse him," she told me and R.O.B. as she grabbed hold of the elevator rope. "Jack's been quite feisty the past few days,"

As I leaned against R.O.B. I raised an eyebrow. "Jack? As in, Sparrow?" I asked, still trying to open the doors. "That's who's in here?"

"It's CAPTAIN Jack Sparrow, lassy!" the pirate exclaimed with a hiccup.

"Yeah, that's who," Rosalina told me. "A few days ago he asked Master Hand if he could be in the new SSB, and instead of just saying no Master Hand remembered that he should tear down the bar to build bedrooms for the new smashers. He fired Jacky and then told him no." the princess shrugged as she began lining up her Lumas in front of the doors. "He refused to move out and now instead trying to start a campaign to let him into the game so Master Hand can't truly kick him out."

"I have two smashers in my lot!" I could hear Jack declare as he knocked his head against a wall.

"He bribed the Ice Climbers into supporting his campaign," Rosalina told me before snapping her fingers. "Okay, Lumas! Now!"

There was a synced "Humf!" uttered by the Lumas before the each grabbed onto the elevator doors and began pulling them open. In less than five seconds the doors were opened and Sparrow was dragged out.

"How dare you!" the captain hiccuped as he was carried down the hall. "This is democracy!"

"Do you even know what democracy is?!" I exclaimed at him as I watched him and the Lumas disappear. Without an answer, I shrugged and said, "I guess not,"

I then walked into the elevator while motioning R.O.B. to follow. "Thanks for the help, Rosalina," I said as I pointed at her. "Now, I need you to watch those two neighbors for me while me gone."

The princess looked over at Nicky, who somehow got his hands on a tattoo kit and was about to scribble all over Peterson's forehead. "I don't care what y'all vandalize, I just need the two to be alive when I come back," I explained.

Rosalina nodded her head. "You can count on us!" She declared. The Lumas then slammed the doors closed and, slowly but surely, the elevator began it's journey.

"Yaaay!" I cheered as I lean against R.O.B.'s robot shoulder. I then faced him and smiled. "Hey, you wanna be part of my army? Cuz, like, I kinda need one to fix the mess I made back in Termina, and your the first fella I've meant that seems willing to follow me blindly."

R.O.B.'s eyes literally lit up. "Beep beep! Boop beep bip beep!" he declared.

"Fantastic! Welcome to the main plot, my dude! Together we will-"

Ba-boom! Suddenly, the elevator stopped. We both stood there as we felt it go down a little bit, then up again, and then just not move at all. I could tell someone just tied the rope.

"Oh, come on! No more stalling!" I moarned as I went over to the doors. I began peeling this slowly open. "I just want to actually finish this fanfic! Is that too much to ask?!"

R.O.B. reached over and helped me fully open the doors. I jumped out and noticed we were on the second floor. "I knew it! This ain't our stop at all! Why did Rosalina stop our ride? Did she think we wanted to start using the stairs or-"

I glanced out the window, but then looked out again. What I saw was my answer.

It was the beginning of the end.
