"I figured you would like Pictochat," HMS said, standing at the edge of the stage. He held the black orb in one hand and black magic was shooting out of the other. " You seemed like the creative type,"
I rolled my eyes. "Oh, what made you think that?" I said, sarcasm dripping off every word. "Was it the magical 3DS? Or was it the Bed Drowned side plots?"
"Who cares?" HMS laughed. He held the black magic up high, showing off how quickly it was charging up. "I'm just here to kill you."
TIME? WHAT'S THAT?: DEATH
Well, the Mansion is gone.
At this point, only four Smashers were not evil: Fox, Samus, Kirby, and Master Hand. They stood a few miles away from the mansion, watching it burn to the ground. They lost. They did everything they could, and they still lost. Well, actually, it's more like Master Hand did everything he could.
"I can't believe you guys were able to survive by just hiding under the floor," said Master Hand. If he had a head, he would be shaking it.
Samus shrugged. "I'm pretty surprised, too," she said. "Good thing Kirby found that escape hatch before the fire caught us,"
"Ha ha ha! That wasn't an escape hatch! I just ate through the wall!" Kirby exclaimed while rubbing his belly. "And it was deeeelicious!"
"Oh, so that was the chewing sound!" said Fox. "I was starting to think I was hearing things!"
"Pfft, good job, Kirby," Samus said before turning back to Master Hand. "Hey, what happened to your brother?"
"Oh, Crazy Hand? He joined HMS the moment he could," Master Hand sighed.
"Oh. Huh. Actually, that makes a lot of sense."
Master Hand groaned, turning himself towards the sky. "Yeahhhh, too much sense. Of course, he would do something stupid like that! He's-LOOK OUT!"
They all looked up just in time to watch a body land on Fox. They all tried to jump out of the way, but Fox was not fast enough. He collapsed under the weight. "Arrrgh! Get it off me!" Fox screamed, trying to push the body off.
"Wait, hold on," Master Hand said, stopping everyone from helping. "Fox, face that person towards me,"
Fox was about to start crying from the pain, but he still did as he was told. He grabbed the head and twisted it around, revealing a dead Happy Sales Man.
"OH, MY GOD!" they all screamed, except Fox, who was too busy crying.
"Yeah, I killed that dude,"
They turned around and saw me, holding the black orb and the black magic. I twirled the black magic through my fingers. It felt powerful, it felt fun. I should destroy this damn thing before I become the next villain. Or, at least, more of a villain than I already am.
"What? How?" Master Hand exclaimed.
"Who cares? What matters is he's dead." I walk over to Kirby and kneel down, holding the black orb in front of him. "Kirby, I need a favor,"
Kirby nodded, excited because he knew exactly what I wanted. In the blink of an eye, he ate the orb and became Dark Kirby. The only thing that changed about Kirby was his feet became black and he could now throw black fire orbs. It's Kirby, nothing could ruin that guy.
As we all watched Kirby play around with his new powers, Smashers started appearing all around us. Now that HMS and the black magic thingy were destroyed, everything was back to normal. Well, except for the mansion.
"Ants?" Master Hand said as he tried his hardest not to beat Crazy Hand up for abandoning him. "What am I going to do about the mansion?"
I laugh but quickly catch myself. "Sorry, that was mean. But it is kind of funny. Why would you want to save the mansion? That place was a dump! The only thing it did right was advertising Ikea furniture. Nah, the world doesn't need a Smash Mansion. I'll write you a better ending,"
"What? You can?"
"Of course. You just have to send me home so I- WHOA!"
With no hesitation, Master Hand grabbed me and threw me into a portal. "Deal! Bye!" he said as I was never seen again.
"How did you do that? Samus asked.
"What? Oh, the portal thing?" If Master Hand had a mouth, he would be smirking. "How do you think I found her in the first place?"
HOUR CURRENT: NOW BACK TO ME

Yeah, it's me, BraveMerida. I'm going true diary-mode on this thing. I figured I might as well, considering this is probably the last time I'm talking to all of you.
I can't believe this fanfic is about 8 years old and I'm just now finishing it. Damn. You know, that stuff I said in the last chapter was true. This thing was originally supposed to be 20ish chapters long. But now look at it! Heh, I think that's kind of funny to think about.
Let me tell you something about my life: When I started this fanfic I was a homeschooler who was starting high school. Today I'm a college senior who's currently writing this final chapter in my school's University Center. Every single aspect of my life has changed since I wrote about Silver becoming an ex-chef and Falco making toast.
I can't believe how many people have read this thing. This fanfic has over 40 thousand views from all over the world. I have readers in the Philipines! And Germany! That's so insane to me! Shout out to all of you! :)
Thank you all so much for reading. You all have made an impact on my life. Since I started this fanfic, I got a short story published in one literary magazine and have won three writing contests. This fanfiction allowed me to improve my writing without any judgment and your support encouraged me to keep on this path. I'm going to graduate with an English degree in a year, and it's partially thanks to you all reading this fanfiction and giving me the confidence to write. LIFE AFTER SMASH MANSION
MASTER HAND & CRAZY HAND
It took a while for Master Hand to forgive Crazy Hand for, well, being Crazy Hand. But once he did, the two went off and started a kickstarted for their own game. It got fully funded in 2 hours, with Bayonette and Princess Peach being the main backers. "The Hand Brothers: Mansion Fix-Up" is now in development.
MARIO & PRINCESS PEACH
These two crazy kids finally went off and got married. They now live together at Peach's Mansion and are trying to get a law passed that makes it a federal offense to kidnap princesses.
ZELDA & IKE
Back in Hyrule, Ike put himself in charge of the royal guard and gets into fights with Link a lot about how to protect the kingdom. Zelda is still ruling the kingdom and dealing with Ganondorf's dumba##. Zelda and Ike are also trying to start a family.
LINK
Link really hates how Ike is in his way now, but he puts up with it because he wants to respect Zelda's wishes. Link has also joined a bunch of dating sites with no success so far.
BEN DROWNED
[REDACTED] (Whatever he's up to, it's not bothering any of the Smashers.)
SNAKE AND BAYONETTE
These two broke up, made up, broke up again, and finally got back together. Snake is now planning to propose, but the catch is Bayonette is planning to propose, too.
NANA & POPO
These two are crashing in Snake and Bayonette's basement until they get a new game. They spend most of their time protesting against climate change.
R.O.B.
After all the chaos of Smash Mansion, R.O.B. has sworn off violence and now lives a peaceful life at a Robot museum, giving tours. Every now and then the Koopaling kids come by and try to steal the cotton candy machine in the gift shop.
BOWSER AND HIS KIDS
Now that Peach is married, Bowser is in therapy to work through his issues with possessiveness. Therapy has made him realize how he needs to work on his relationship with his kids and now he's trying to save enough money to take them on a family road trip. If only he wasn't stealing all the money.
SAMUS
She just went back to work, saving the galaxy.
DARK SAMUS
She just went back to space to beat Samus's butt.
SHULK
After posting a series of vlogging about the attack on the mansion, Shulk's YouTube channel finally took off. He was doing really well, he even won a Shorty, until he got canceled for owning a Shane Dawson hoodie. He now lives in a hype house, trying to fix his image.
DONKEY KONG & DIDDY KONG
They went back to the jungle and started a banana farm. It's doing really well, they just got featured on the Today Show for being completely eco-friendly.
YOSHI
Yoshi started a Yoshi petting farm where he and his Yoshi family make fat stacks letting people pet them for 20 bucks an hour. On the weekends he visits Mario and Peach and helps with their law-passing campaign.
FOX & FALCO
After Krystal beat them up for never getting her in Smash, they went back to work, protecting the universe. At one point they teamed up with Samus to beat Dark Samus up.
PIKACHU & JIGGLYPUFF
They joined up with Ash and they're now traveling the world together, trying to catch them all.
LUIGI
Luigi is currently running for Mayor of New Donk City. This is really pissing Pauline off, but he really doesn't care. This is the first time Luigi has done something for himself, and he's excited to win.
NESS & LUCAS
They joined the same hype house Shulk is in and they started a TikTok account together. Their TikTok showing people how to use PK FIRE just went viral and they're now more famous than Shulk.
CAPTAIN FALCON
He recently did a 23andMe and found out Snake is his brother. Now he's trying to track Snake down, but he can't seem to find him. Little does he know, it's because Snake has been using Bayonetta's address on everything.
DAISY
Princess Daisy is also running for mayor of New Donk City, which is pissing off Luigi.
SHEIK
Sheik started an Etsy shop that sells cheap self-defense weapons to women. In her free time, she hangs out with Link and helps him deal with the fact that Zelda did not fall in love with him.
PICHU
Somehow, Pichu hitched a ride with Samus and is now having space adventures with her and the Star Fox gang.
MARTH
HMS inspired Marth and he now runs a costume shop in a small town that never has costume parties. No one in the town knows how he survives, but he seems quite happy with his quiet life.
LUCINA AND DARK PIT
Almost every weekend Lucina and Pittoo go to Marth's store and buy enough costumes to get him by. When they're not doing that, they fight crime together and protect the heavens and the Earth.
MEWTWO
Mewtwo went to jail for practicing therapy without a license but immediately escape jail because he's Mewtwo. He's now on the run from the law and has a million-dollar bounty on his head.
GANONDORF
Link finally killed this guy by finding out he's allergic to cheese and putting it in his coffee. All the Smashers went to his funeral.
ROY AND CHROM
One night after drinking their weight in beer, Roy and Chrom started a Soundcloud as a joke. Next month their single "Why Am I In Super Smash Brothers" went viral on TikTok and now they're billionaires. Roy is now trying to convince Chrom to go on tour.
PIT & PALUTENA
These two had a friend break up because they couldn't agree on how to deal with the pandemic. This friend break-up was so toxic and nasty that all the gods has to get involved to calm them down. Nowadays, Palutena is still doing god-things while Pit is on Earth, exploring and trying to find himself.
WARIO
Wario started a blog where he reviews restaurants and rates them on how much the food hurts his stomach. The blog isn't that popular, but it's what makes him happy. When he's not doing that, he's spending time with his girlfriend, who's trying to become a Twitch e-girl.
SONIC
Sonic has been busy filming the Sonic movies. Now that he's a movie star, he never sees the other Smashers anymore. Except for Ness and Lucas, he sometimes guests stars in their TikToks.
KING DEDEDE
He's back in his kingdom, being a menace to society.
MR. GAME AND WATCH
He is the production designer for the new Cuphead show. In his free time, he tries to hunt down Mewtwo, his production budget could really use the money from Mewtwo's bounty.
KIRBY
Now that he's a master of black magic, he's going to wipe King Dedede's kingdom off the face of the Earth. He's currently training to do just that.
LITTLE MAC
He's Kirby's trainer. He's trying to bulk the little guy up before attacking a whole kingdom.
OLIMAR AND ALPH
They opened a greenhouse in Onett and have been doing rather well. Their delivery service is very popular, it involves the Pikmin delivering flowers and planting them for you.
LUCARIO & INCINEROAR
These two are roommates and are trying to figure out what to do with their lives. They both work at the last Blockbuster.
GRENINJA
Greninja opened a dojo and teaches people how to be bada##. He wants to hire Lucario and Incineroar, but he's going to wait for Blockbuster to close down before he reaches out.
PAC-MAN
He went home and is now a stay-at-home dad while Mrs. Pac-Man works at New Donk City as Mayor Pauline's campaign manager.
MEGA MAN
Mega Man got injured at the Fall of Smash Mansion and will never be able to shoot leaves again. He didn't let this setback slow him down. He decided to become a motivational speaker and teach others how to overcome their shortcomings. He's not a popular motivational speaker, but he gets by.
WOLF
He got twenty years in prison for selling mushrooms in alleyways. He insists that he's innocent and they were just Mushroom Kingdom mushrooms, but no one believes him.
VILLAGER AND ISABELLE
They run an island resort together. Sometimes they have Mega Man come by to speak on holiday events.
ROBIN
He found out Hogwarts is real and became a professor at the school. He teaches Magic 101, 102, 201, and The History of Dark Magic 101 where he sometimes has Kirby come in to speak on his experience with dark magic.
DUCK HUNT
They were arrested for trespassing on farmland during hunting season. They will be on parol in a few months.
RYU AND KEN
They both joined WWE and are now fan favorites. In their free time, they visit Marth's shop to buy costumes for the ring.
CLOUD
I'm going to be honest with you, I have never played one of Cloud's games and I have no idea what Cloud does in his games. Let's just say he went back to doing that he's known best for and leave it at that.
INKLING
All the inklings started going to the same school and they now run the art club.
META KNIGHT
He got into a fight with Knuckles over who had the bigger gloves and also went to jail for assault. Instead, he got court-assigned therapy that made him realize how wrong being a villain is. He apologized to Knuckles and now the two of them run a support group for recovering villains. Silver is in it.
SIMON AND RICHTER
They're going to be on the next season of the Bachelorette. Pray for them.
CORRIN
They started an orphanage near where the mansion was. They're great with children, but one little boy stole his heart. His name was Tank, and HMS killed the rest of his family. Corrin adopted him and Tank now goes to the same school as the Inklings.
RIDLEY
[REDACTED] (I'm not allowed to say what Ben Drowned is doing with him)
WII FIT TRAINER
She was Little Mac's trainer until he tried to take her on a date. She immediately turned him down and quit. Now she's traveling the world, training Olympians.
KING K. ROOL
He's trying to start his own banana farm to compete with Donkey Kong and drive him out of business, but it's not going too well. His main issue is that he thinks bananas grow in the ground, like potatoes.
ALL THE DLC CHARACTERS
They all went back to respected franchises and agreed to act like the Smash mansion never existed. Except for Steve and Alex, instead, they rebuilt the mansion in their game and invited everyone to visit whenever they want. This made Master Hand cry happy but ugly tears. Now all the Smashers have yearly reunions in the Minecraft-version of the Mansion to reminisce about old times.
ANTS/BRAVEMERIDA
Ants is a writer who lived happily ever after.
