Remembering how well all of his friend's got along in the previous timeline, and that group dinners were especially helpful when discussing grimm/wesen topics, Nick believed the best way to introduce Hank and Wu to the wesen world was to invite them to a dinner with wesen.

"I'm thinking about introducing Hank and Wu to the wesen world." Nick told Adalind the evening after meeting Rosalee and her brother Frieddie, again.

"I think that would be very wise." Adalind agreed. "With all of the wesen cases you keep getting, it's bound to happen that Hank, and maybe Wu, would encounter a fully woged wesen at some point. And humans have been known to not handle it very well when confronted with a new reality."

Remembering that both Hank and Wu had each thought they were going insane after seeing a fully woged wesen for the first time, Hank seeking to speak with a psychiatrist and Wu actually having himself committed, Nick knew just how bad it could be.

Hank had even almost shot his goddaughter after seeing her woge.

And that thought reminded Nick that he should check on Jarold and Carly Kempfer before they are harassed by the savage coyotle wesen gang.

There were a lot of reasons to get the whole gang on the same page as quickly as possible, the most important one being to protect innocent children.

"I am guessing you want the eisbiber at the dinner?" Adalind asked.

"Knowing them, they will probably offer to cater the whole thing." Nick chuckled.

"Oh, I'm sure of it." Adalind replied with a grin of her own. Then she sobered and said, "We should have our dinner someplace where my mother can't interrupt us. She will cause a scene to get her way if given half a chance."

Nick had to agree, luckily, he had a new group of friends with a whole building that was perfect for social gatherings.

The following day, he called Bud Wurstner and asked about using the eisbiber lodge for the dinner, as well as requested some be there so his kehrseite friends could be introduced to the wesen world.

"It's important that their first encounter be a pleasant one. And no offence, eisbiber are the least threatening looking wesen I know."

"You haven't met my mother in law." Bud said. "She'd terrify a blutbad."

"Well one of my friends who will be attending is a blutbad. And of course I'm bringing along my hexenbiest girlfriend."

"Oh, my wife likes her. Phoebe says that your hexenbiest is very beautiful and works for the best law firm in the city."

"My hexenbiest is pretty amazing. But her mother is trying to ruin her life, that's another reason why we need to have our big dinner at the lodge."

"I understand, Nick. Don't worry. I'll tell everyone. Knowing my wife and her friends, every eisbiber will be pitching in to make your dinner really nice."

"Thank you, Bud."

Nick sighed with relief that the location of the big dinner was taken care of. The next thing to do was invite all of his friends to be there.

No surprise, Hank and Wu each easily accepted an invite. Neither one would turn down a free meal, and each were curious to meet Nick's other friends and get to know his girlfriend.

Monroe was a little more hesitant, but still agreed.

"You want me to help turn your friends from kehrseite to kehrseite schlich kennen!" Monroe asked. "If you think it's wise for them to see a woged blutbad, I''l do it? Having your partner in on the wesen world will make taking down bad wesen a lot easier. There won't be a need to sneak around or talk in riddles and metaphors when Adalind or I need to give you information about a particular wesen problem."

No matter how many times he heard it, Nick would never not be impressed by his friend's ability to pronounce German words perfectly. Or his talent for going on informative rants.

Nick was sure Bud and Monroe would end up doing most of the talking at dinner, which just might help relieve any tension.

The trickiest person to invite was Rosalee. Nick wanted to introduce the fuchsbau to his blutbad friend, so that the two could start their happily ever after just like Nick had with Adalind.

But it wouldn't really make a lot of sense for someone to invite two people he barely knew to a dinner. It would even seem a little heinous if the inviter was a grimm and the invitees were wesen.

Fate (or The Staff) seemed to be in Nick's favor when a worried looking Rosalee showed up at the precinct and wished to speak with him.

When they were alone in an interrogation room, Rosalee told Nick, "I think my brother is getting involved with a wesen group selling human organs. I told him it was wrong. But he said he doesn't have a choice. That they're dangerous and will kill him if he doesn't sell their product. I was hoping you could help, since you're both a policeman and a grimm."

Nick took several deep breaths, trying to calm himself. He remembered the organ harvesters well.

Back when he first came through the time portal, he had kept an eye on the building where the street kids had been taken.

But he was guessing that the organ harvesting group had seen him, realized their structure was compromised and had chosen to move their headquarters to somewhere else.

"I'm going to help, but I'm going to need some help doing it. And your brother needs to cooperate." Nick warned. "Do you remember me telling you about my blutbad friend?"

The fuchsbau nodded.

"I'm going to ask him to stay in that side room at your spice shop. The next time the organ harvesters enter, he'll see and, most importantly, smell them. We should be able to track them. I'd rather take the group down as an officer of the law, but I'm not afraid to take them down as a grimm."

Nick wasn't sure if Freddie was more afraid of the organ harvesters, the grimm, or his own sister, but either way, he readily complied with Nick's demands.

Monroe was a little insulted when Nick told him what exactly he wanted him to do. "You basically want to use me as a bloodhound." But he agreed, since it meant helping innocent people. Though he made it clear he wasn't sure about trusting fuchsbau. "Make sure you count your fingers after shaking hands with one."

"Just be a good boy and you'll get a treat." Nick grinned cheekily.

The glare that comment earned him from the blutbad would have withered anyone else, all Nick did was grin wider.

Monroe's hesitation at working with fuchsbau vanished when he was introduced to Rosalee.

"Thank you for doing this." She woged and then Monroe woged, an understanding passing between them.

"You know if you're still reluctant to work with fuchsbau, I could ask Adalind if she wants to help out?" Nick offered, not even bothering to suppress his smirk.

"Don't you have some criminals to catch." Monroe shot.

Rosalee offered to stay in the side room with Monroe, much to the blutbad's delight.

Before he left, Nick saw them talking quietly on the other side of the room. He could see the connection forming between then and smiled, knowing that everything was happening as it should be.

Nick was able to use the excuse of an informant as to how he discovered that there was a group in Portland who were taking the people who lived on the street, especially the teens, and removing their organs. He found out that the geier involved had noticed him snooping around, and guessing he was with law enforcement, had relocated their harvesting facilities to a more secluded spot. The Geier doctor who was luring the kids had also changed her name and her office location when she learned someone had been looking around her group's illegal activities.

Nick hated that there were a lot of horrible things still happening, even when he knew about them and tried to stop them. He wished he had more power then maybe he could prevent innocent people from getting hurt.

Through his connection to The Staff, Nick felt a warning about wanting power. Those who sought ultimate power and control, though their intentions were noble at first, were eventually corrupted, their souls as black as an abyss.

It was wiser to, when filled with despair, seek out those that would provide comfort, and love.

Thinking of Adalind, and how she would be waiting for him with open arms and a smile when he returned to her, Nick calmed himself and went back to the spice shop to wrap up the case.

"We stopped the organ harvesters." Nick told the two fuchsbau. "They won't be bothering you again. I suggest you destroy whatever stuff they gave you."

"Already done." Rosalee assured the grimm. "I burned that stuff while Monroe was calling you to inform you he was trailing the geier."

"Thank you. Thanks for all of your help. We wouldn't have been able to stop them without you."

"I was happy to do it. My brother helped me when I was living the life I shouldn't have, I just wanted to return the favor. I have to admit, it was pretty exciting, and it feels good to have helped save the day. If you ever need my help again, please ask."

"Now that you've mentioned it; I need to let my closest friends in on the whole wesen thing. I'm also dealing with some people who think I'm either their key to power, or in the way of them obtaining it. I'm pretty sure you could help with both. As for right now, what are your plans for dinner tomorrow night?"
