"my Alegria curse," Mard Geer muttered as he sensed the wizards breaking free "you broke it," he growled, "what did you do."
"the cleansing light of the stars," the celestial king said, "it has broken the curse you have brought" he smiled "my old friend and her team will finish the job," he smiled, "they will send you back. From whence you came."
"damn you," Mard Geer shouted.
"you still are blind, Mard Geer," the celestial king said, "you call my bond with my old friend a shackle," he said, "in fact, it grants me strength. and as such, we will finish what the other has begun without question" he laughed "it's far from a weakness, but this body shows your own weakness," the celestial king said "you cut off yourself from love, and compassion, so much that they don't enter your mind," he said "your own ignorance of this will be your end" he smiled "before I leave, there is one more thing I must do," he said "my dear friend, I look forward to our next meeting," the king said, "and let it be under more joyful circumstances."
"you're running away" Mard Geer shouted as his body started to turn to stone as he looked around "does that starry-eyed fool think he can stop me" Mard Geer whispered, "if the king and these humans share a heart, then I will make them sense there beating."
"they will share death."
Torafuzar walked through the ruins of the cube as he saw Jackel's body "he's dead," he whispered "how did that little girl defeat both Lamy and Jackel" he looked away "her magic is more powerful than we thought," he said
"can't stop," Lucy whispered, "They need me."
"he should have killed her when he had the chance," Torafuzar muttered. "I will not make such a mistake," he screamed. He tried to slash Lucy, only for Gajeel to jump in the way before head butting him away, sending him into the wall "that's not possible; I thought the girl was the only survivor."

"Gajeel," Lucy whispered
"I don't know what you're talking about," Gajeel said, "but you aren't laying a finger on Lucy," Gajeel said
"it would seem that Mard Geer's curse has been lifted," Keyes shouted as he tried to attack Gajeel, "but the fairies will fall. It is their fate," he screamed.
"{water: Nebula}" Juvia screamed as she blocked the attack "no one is hurting my friends," she screamed as Keyes jumped away.
"Juvia," Lucy whispered as Silver appeared.
"you need to cool it," Silver said as he froze Juvia's water
"I don't think so," Gray shouted as he blocked the ice canceling it out as ice went everywhere. He looked in shock at Silver as Silver smirked at him
"Gray," Lucy whispered
"he canceled out Silver's ice," Keyes muttered as Tempester landed in front of Gray.
"foolish," he whispered. A giant ball of fire surrounded him. As he started to go away, he saw Natsu standing in the middle of "what is he eating my flames."
"man, now that some tasty stuff," Natsu said "thanks for the save, Lucy" he looked back, "you did good, partner," Natsu smiled, "let us take it from here."
"yeah," Gray said, "you've earned a good break," Gray said, "especially after taking down this cube thing," Gray said
"your one tough cheerleader," Gajeel laughed
"Let us finish what she started," Juvia said
"hell yeah," Natsu smiled, "these guys are serious" Natsu laughed
"we're all fired up."
Tartaros arc: Erza vs. Minerva: Family
"We already took care of FACE," Natsu said as the demons glared at him, "and Lucy just made your city crash and burn, so I take its time for you to surrender," Natsu said as Gray and Silver had a stare off there was a familiar air about the man.
"I know you," Gray whispered, "no, it can't be."
"who him," Natsu asked "he's the guy who froze sun village," Natsu told him, "and he froze me," Natsu said, "and well."
"He smells a lot like you," Gajeel finished
"really," Gray asked
"he has the same parfum as my darling," Juvia asked as Silver made a move before anyone could react. "Gray," Juvia called as s Silver flew off with him.
"I like this one," Silver shouted. "I think I'll keep it," he called as he left
"get back here," Juvia called "that isn't yours," she screamed

"you turned your backs," Tempester muttered "now you face calamity," he screamed, "swoosh," he shouted as a large tornado grabbed Natsu and Juvia, sending them into the sky as Gajeel turned into iron as Tempester backed up "what" he muttered.
"you're not getting me with that attack," Gajeel growled "{Iron dragon: club}" he screamed as he figured the attack, which Torafuzar swatted away "what" Natsu ran in, jumping on Gajeel club as Keyes ran at him, going right through him "Salamander" Gajeel screamed "how the hell are we supposed to hit that thing" Gajeel screamed as Torafuzar punched him in the head.
"{water: slicer}" Juvia screamed as Keyes flew away
"a water wielder," Keyes muttered "interesting."
"rumble and burn" Tempester shouted as Natsu was blasted to the ground as he jumped up.
"man, these guys are tough," Natsu said
"be careful," Lucy shouted
"come on," Natsu said as Juvia and Gajeel got next to him "we need to take them down," Natsu shouted.
"and have them tell me where that old man took my Gray," Juvia screamed.
Lily sighed as he walked through the ruins of the cube "pathic," Lily muttered. "I went and managed to get separated from my comrades," he whispered, and just when they need me the most," he said as he heard rumbling in the distance, "is that the sound of thunder I hear" Lily swallowed a lump in his throat "and I'm all out of Kiwis" he whispered he then saw a crate "wait, a crate of kiwis ripe for the taking" he cheered "no that a canon, how could I mistake this for sweet nourishing kiwis" Lily growled as he threw it away as he started walking, he saw someone it was Happy "hey Happy boy am I glad to see you" he laughed as Happy turned to face him as he had a small mushroom growing on his head "what happened"
"My head got knocked up by a mushroom just like that old woman said it would," Happy sighed. "I knew I should have paid her."
"can you feel it move" Lily asked
"man, what if Carla sees me like this" Happy said
'that's what he's worried about' Lily shook his head "as far as head base fungi go, that one looks like it's in style" Happy looked at him full of hope, only to look away."
"you're just saying that to make me feel better," Happy groaned "look, grandma, a exceed with a mushroom on his head."
"so, it's stuck," Lily asked. as he pulled out a sword, "I apologize if I cut off your ears in the process," he screamed as Happy screamed in terror
"wait, let's try something else," Happy shouted.
"We can," Lily said as he started pulling on the mushroom that was on Happy's head.
"ouch, give me a warning next time," Happy shouted as Lily pulled with all his might as. Happy screamed, "this isn't working, stop" Happy cried as Lily sighed.
"shroom one, us zero," Lily muttered
"maybe I can make it trendy," Happy asked
"Best not to lie to yourself," Lily said,
an eyeball opened on the shroom, revealing it to be a reincarnated Franmalth. 'I know what you're thinking. I should be dead after hells core, but I was able to use my curse to attach myself to this feline," he laughed, "and once these cats get back to their allies, I will strike."
"umm, how do you think we ended up here," Laki asked as she looked in the distance.
"We were on that cube thing last I remember," Cana said, coming next to her, "and now we're back on the ground" Laki looked in the distance.
"We didn't go far from the looks of it," Laki said
"just about south of Magnolia," Cana said, "Has anyone seen Mavis."
"Mavis said she needed to head back to your pub," came the voice of Riana, who was followed by Millianna, Cosmos, and Kagura "something about Natsu's message had her troubled."
"right," Cana said "wonder what that was about," she asked "never heard Natsu and Mavis argue like that," she whispered as Kinana came up to her "have we found the injured? Yet."
"no," Kinana said, "still looking," she said, "nor have we found Gray, Natsu, Juvia, Erza, and Lucy."
"not to mention Happy and Lily," Cana said "all of fairy tail is MIA," Cana said as she looked into the distance; she was worried.
"Hey, don't forget who we're talking about," Laki said "if anything, they're out there fighting the demons of Tartaros," Laki laughed. "we just gotta find them so we can back them; up."
"right," Cana said. "Laki, you take a group and go find Miko and Porlyusica," Cana said "she has no magic spell to defend herself with," Cana said. "I'll go look for Natsu and the others."
"right," Laki said, "stay safe."
"I'll go with you," Riana said, "we'll cover more ground if we split up."
"you think Warren will be able to re-establish the connection," Cana asked
"no," Riana said, "whatever cut the connection probably attacked him directly," she sighed, "it will take him a while to get back up."
"right," Cana said. Those words rang through her head again 'unleash the light' Cana asked herself, 'what does that mean.'
In Magnolia, Mavis ran through the ruined streets "what a depressing sight' Mavis thought to herself 'not even Cardia cathedral the pride of our home, is still standing' she looked away "we will rebuild," she said
"But first," Mavis looked at the ruins of the pub
"I must unleash the fairy heart."
"you okay," Meredy asked as they came to a stop as. Wendy let out a breath of air.
"yeah," Wendy said, looking away "just well," Wendy said, "still wondering how the hell I'm alive."
"the wizard saint that attacked you at the games," Meredy explained, "she saved you at the last second." Meredy smiled at her. "I'm just glad you're okay."
"yeah," Wendy said, "me too," as she looked at Carla, who was talking with Rossello. Her mind went back to what she thought would be their last conversation.
Flashback
"we're going to be together forever," Wendy shouted, "you made me that promise," she exclaimed, "and I'm not going to break it," she cried.
"but there is no way for me to fly right now," Carla muttered, "there's no way for me to leave."
"I'm in the same boat," Wendy said "there no way," Wendy muttered "no way, I'm going to be able to run out of here" she smiled as she brought Carla in for a hug. "I'm going to stay," Wendy said. "I won't leave you," she said, "not again" she smiled as the ground started to shake, as people outside started to see a bright light shining from the sky "there are worse way's for an adventure to an end," Wendy said "but we saved our friends," Wendy said, "and we were together till then end."
"right," Carla muttered
"together forever"
"All we have to do is push this button," Wendy asked
"yes," Carla said, "together."
"as always," Wendy said 'and if I had to go and do it again' Wendy said, her mind going back to her mother. "I wouldn't change a thing' she smiled "hey Carla," Wendy asked, "would you be my friend again."
"of course," Carla smiled as tears streamed down her face as they pressed the button. FACE exploded, creating a large explosion that destroyed the cave they were in
End Flashback
"Look who's still kicking," a voice called as everyone looked up to see Dornbolt smiling at them "if anyone, it's you, but this fight isn't over yet."
"yeah," Wendy said "is everything alright with my friends," Wendy asked
"no idea," Dornbolt said, "but you need to see this"
"Maybe I should try cutting it off," Happy said
"I would leave it alone," Lily said, "it could start sprouting."
"that's an image," Happy sighed as they continued their walk so they could search for their friends as Franmalth sat on his head. "I'm confident in my king, of course," he muttered, "but what he said."
"demons of Tartaros," Mard Geers's voice rang through Lucy's head. "I have used the Alegria to take out our intruders," he explained "our plans remain unchanged; FACES activation is imminent," he said, smiling.
"Unless we weren't wrong," Franmalth muttered
"what if"

"What is that," Meredy asked as Rossello flew her around next to her Wendy had a look of horror on her face as she looked at the multiple FACES scattered across the ground
"This isn't fair," Wendy muttered "that's FACE," Wendy whispered as Meredy looked at her in horror. "If just one of those things goes off," Wendy said, "all magic in Ishgar hell the world."
"will be wiped out," Meredy said
"That sounds scary," Rossello muttered
"how many of those things are there" Angel asked
"no official count yet," Dornbolt said. "Lamia scale is looking into it, but we're in the thousands," he said, looking away, "and the number is growing by the second," he looked away, "and we lost contact with our forces at Tartaros," he said, "no one knows what's going on there either."
"the engine of humanity's demise," Mard Geer whispered, "in all its glory."
"what are we going to do" Carla whispered "we fought so hard, nearly gave our lives to take out one of these things," she whispered, "it's over."
"no," Wendy said. "I'm not giving up yet," Wendy said as she clenched her fist "there is no way that I'm letting this happen," Wendy said, "not after everything we've been through," she said
"but what can we do" Angel asked
"every second, another one of these FACE things pops up," Cobra muttered, "no way we can destroy all of them at once."
"then we have to shut them down," Wendy said "at the cube, there was a control room," Wendy said "if tartaros has control of FACE now, they must have a way to turn it off," Wendy said as she looked into the distance.
"right," Meredy said, "let's get back there and see what we can learn," she said. "I'll fight with you."
"I guess," Angel said
"meh," Cobra muttered
"Now, aren't you two chipper" Midnight laughed
"let's do this," Wendy said as Dornbolt nodded at her as he looked back at FACE.

Erza and Minerva jumped away from each other as they continued their fight "what happened to you" Erza screamed, "why would you do this to yourself, Minerva."
"I'm neo-Minerva." Minerva screamed, "I have been reborn as the ultimate wizard," she shouted as she broke Erza's sword. She jumped back as she jumped at her trying to kick her. Minerva smiled "{territory}" Minerva whispered as she swapped with her as she kicked Erza, sending her away "was that as good for you as it was for me," Minerva asked as Erza punched her in the face "damn you" Minerva shouted as Erza jumped away "why won't you die" she screamed.
"you know damn well why I won't," Erza screamed as she punched her in the stomach.
"here we go again," Minerva shouted "you fairies and your damn bonds," she screamed "what makes you special" she shouted "what did you do to deserve people that care for you" she shouted "have you ever stopped to wonder how other's feelings when you show off how much you love each other" Minerva called.
"what does that have to do with anything," Erza asked
"it has everything to do with this," Minerva shouted. "I've been fighting my whole life. I've surrounded myself with people whose power is equal to my own," she yelled, "and yet you," she screamed, "you allow yourself to be dragged down; you fight for those weaker than you," Minerva muttered, "so makes you so special."
"Nothing really," Erza smiled. "I'm just a girl from magnolia."
"damn you," Minerva shouted as Erza blocked the attack. "I'll show you," Minerva cried "you won't beat me," she screamed as Erza punched her away.
"is that all this is," Erza asked "a grudge because I beat you," Erza said, "because I don't conform to the ideology you have," she asked, "because my mere existence stands against everything. You believe in."
"yes," Minerva shouted as Erza punched her into the ground
Flashback
"you're a disgrace," Jiemma muttered as he towered over his daughter. Around them, several monsters had been slain "you have my blood don't you" Jeimma asked "how could you be so weak" he bent down "do you know what I do with weaklings" he asked.
"you," Minerva muttered, "you kill them," she whispered, tears running down her face "that's why mom isn't here anymore."
"do not refer to that thing as your mother," Jiemma shouted as he slapped her "do you do it to defy me, or are you simply stupid."
"no, father," Minerva said, only to be slapped again.
"do not call me father either," Jiemma screamed, "my kin wouldn't be so pathic," he shouted, spit coming from his mouth as he stood back up "for my dreams to come to a reality, I must purge the world of its weakness," Jiemma shouted "for us to take revenge" he screamed "phantom Lord fell because it became complacent" he called "as its last surviving member I will take us to the height that we deserve" he screamed "and I will not tolerate weakness" he shouted.
"yes, sir," Minerva muttered.
"good," Jiemma said, "the weak do not deserve anything in life," he said, "the weak do not get a home or family," he told her, "the only thing a weakling deserves is death."
"I understand," Minerva whispered.
"you reveal your weakness when you defend," Jiemma shouted. "tiger need not defend. We only hunt," he screamed as someone attacked her. Minerva jumped away "Fingers," Jiemma said, "attack this child as if you mean to kill her."
"yes, sir" Fingers said he was a large, burly man with purple hair locked into a ponytail. His clothing consisted of a white tunic with diamond designs and a brown undershirt. Along with that, he wore black pants, colored white on their inseam, finishing with pointed shoe wear. His most distinctive feature was his completely bandaged face, with only his eyes being shown. he raised his hands, attacking Minerva, sending her into a rock as the little girl fell to the ground as he stood up "my master does not tolerate weakness," Fingers said "the fact that you are his daughter disgusts me," he said
"Please," Minerva whispered.
"do not beg for mercy," fingers shouted as he slapped her above them Jiemma merely watched
"stop pretending to be hurt," Jiemma called, "or I will come down there to break your legs," he screamed as Minerva vanished, kicking Fingers to the ground "absolute domain magic territory," he whispered as Minerva used it to make finger attack himself as she fell back.
"are you" she was stopped when Finger punched her back. Minerva landed on the getting ground.
"what did I tell you" Jiemma shouted "you deserve nothing," he screamed you are nothing but a weakling" Minerva then let out a scream as she waved her hand. The area around Finger blew up as she let out a scream as Finger's body parts flew everywhere. Minerva fell to the ground; blood splattered on her face as she felt tears rolling down her face, as a dark smile grew.
"it would appear," Jiemma muttered, "that she has finally awakened and shed her weakness," he said as Minerva let out a scream.
End Flashback
"damn you," Minerva screamed "the weak deserve nothing," she shouted, "you people believe that you are strong," Minerva called "all your doing is making them grow complacent in their own power," she exclaimed, "you're nothing," she shouted "I am stronger than you" she cried.
"even if you were stronger than me," Erza shouted, "you'd never beat me," Erza shouted as she punched her away. "I will never lose to someone like you," Erza shouted.
"I will soar the heavens," Minerva screamed.
"then what will you have" Erza shouted as she punched her again "what good is power when you have nothing to show for it" Erza shouted "when you have no reason to get it" she shouted
"I have power," Minerva shouted back. "I merely embraced it," she said "the ultimate step was to shed my humanity," she screamed as she attacked Erza again.
"so be it," Erza screamed as she pulled out her sword, slashing Minerva to the ground as they jumped back "this ends now," Erza shouted as she and Minerva attacked each other as Minerva fell to the ground "far be it from me to tell someone how to live there life," Erza said "but why," Erza asked as Minerva looked back her "why do you do this."

"I," Minerva stood up, looking back at Erza, "for as long as I can remember," Minerva whispered. "I've been fighting," she whispered.
'strip your clothes. You do not deserve them,' Jiemma had told her as he left her in a forest. 'I will return in one year; if you survived, you would be welcomed to our guild.'
"I was only four years old when he did that," Minerva laughed "don't you see Erza." Minerva laughed "this is how it has to end," she said "without magic, the fighting will stop," she said, "without magic, there will be no more pain" she laughed as she tried to stand up
"Minerva," Erza whispered 'is this why Sting is so desperate to save you' Erza asked 'you hurt the people I love more than anything' Erza looked away 'I can never forgive you, but' Erza looked away.
"This is a fight to the death," Minerva said as she tried to get up, "and I know that," Minerva said. "I won't beat you," she whispered, "so that means I will die here" she laughed as she fell back as Erza walked up to her with her sword in hand 'so this is how it ends,' Minerva muttered 'I'm going to die alone' Minerva muttered as she raised her head showing her neck 'this is my fate' she smiled "make it quick," Minerva said as she showed her neck closing her eyes waiting for Erza to deal the final blow as Erza slammed her sword into the rock next to her "what."
"I won't be killing you," Erza said, "your guild," Erza said, "they're still looking for you," Erza said, "They want you to come to them," Erza said, "They want you to come home," she said
"what, why" Minerva muttered.
"because your there, comrade," Erza said, "we may not have similar lives, but I understand the feeling of being alone" she smiled as her mind went to her friends, "but sometimes the thing we're looking for is right in front of us."
"you're lying to me," Minerva said, "just kill me and be done with it." she was stopped when the sound of clapping was heard as Erza turned to see Mard Geer, now freed from his petrification, smiling at them.

"This is why I despise your kind, so" Mard Geer laughed, "bad enough you are born and die and rot," he said, "but you talk about life and death as if it some joke" he smiled "makes me sick."
"do I know you," Erza asked 'wait, I know this voice' Erza wondered 'he's the underworld king, Mard Geer.'
"the nerve of the celestial king," Mard Geer whispered, "wiping away my beautiful curse so this pest can pop up like weeds" he sighed "guess I will have to do it the old-fashioned way," he laughed as he fired off an attack.
"What is this" Erza shouted "what kind of curse."
"I'll start with you," Mard Geer said as he fired an attack at Minerva
"Minerva," Erza screamed
"goodbye," Minerva smiled, "cruel world" as the blast hit her, creating a large explosion.
"That was close," a voice called as Erza looked in shock, "just in time."
"naw, man, you and I both know we're fashionably late," another voice said. It was Sting and Rogue. He looked down as he held Minerva in his arms "there you are," he laughed "come on, I'm taking you home."
"you belong at Sabertooth," Rogue said
"I think so too," Frosh shouted, "and never leave us again."
"don't worry" Sting smiled
"the Sabertooth guild has your back fairy tail."
