She was scared.

I could feel her grip on me tighten as I carried her to a safer area; basically, anywhere that she wouldn't be found easily.

After that Insecticon almost killed her, I knew she wouldn't be able to defend herself or get over it that quickly. So, I decided to stay with her.

I stopped inside an abandoned room and lightly set the femme down, before heading to the door and jamming it so no Cons could open it from the outside. 'This will probably take a while...'

I turned my helm back to the femme, and she was still staring at me with fear and shock. But, I could see a bit of awe in her optics.I walked slowly to her, and sat down in front of her, smiling softly as a way to say "I'm friendly."

The femme kept staring, but then started to shake slightly. I reached out my servo to her, but she jerked back.

"Your scar." I replied, pointing at my own optic and running a digit beneath it. "I want to inspect it."

The femme then lifted her servo and felt what I was talking about. She then very slowly crawled closer to me and sat down on her knees, leaning forward while tilting her helm to the left, all the while breathing slowly.

I took that as a sign that she was letting me look at it. I raised my green-tip clawed digit and grazed over it, my built-in digit sensors tracking the damage. It was deep, but not enough to damage her optic wiring.

I put my servo back and sighed softly. "Your optic will be okay, just make sure to get it fixed soon." I would've done it myself, however I wasn't due for an upgrade for another 3 megacycles.

The femme backed away and rest against the wall, her teary optics still on me, but the very hint of a grateful smile was on her faceplates.

I smirked at her before slowly getting up and stretching my peds. I felt vibrations on the ground and my scanners detected her friends were looking for her. I turned around and started to head to the door when I heard her starting to move.

"W-wait..." She whispered, again crawling over to me. I glanced at her and knelt down to her, making a questionable chirp at her. Then, I felt her hug me and shake again. "T-thank you..."

I then smiled and hugged her back, replying, "You're absolutely welcome. My name is Galaxy Blast, but Galaxy is fine. What's your name, if I may ask?"

"Arcee... N-nice to meet you..."

"Nice to meet you too!"

A faint growl emitted from Galaxy's chest as she onlined her optics, her entire protoform aching from the crash landing. She was greeted by a rocky ceiling, and beeping.

'Where... am I?' She thought to herself, trying to push her body up but realized she was chained to a berth with cuffs on her wrists.

"Wh-a..." Galaxy started to struggle weakly against the restraints, unfolding her wings and flapping them, before hearing an irritated voice behind her.

"Hey, hey, hey! I didn't save your spark just for you to overexert yourself!"

Startled, she turned her helm around to see Ratchet standing over her with a look of disapproval and frustration. She frowned at him in confusion and chirped questionably.

"You're in the Autobot Base. After you fainted, I had to carry you through our Groundbridge, while Smokescreen carried Arcee. Whom I'm certain you know."

And he was right; at the mere mention of the two-wheeler's name, the Predacon femme froze, her optics widening like saucers and her wings stuck in their position.

"W... her... s..." Galaxy growled in frustration due to her damaged voicebox.

Ratchet smirked, but answered her garbled question. "Arcee is in her room with Smokescreen and one of our human charges. Arcee was very concerned about you, and I promised her to get you back to full health."

"You mean, we promised her," Knock Out walked out correcting him sassily, before jumping in surprise seeing the black femme actually awake.

The femme merely tilted her helm at him, before chirping a hello to him. "Getting back to what I was saying," Ratchet continued, "You are to stay in this berth until we clear you. Is that understood?"

Even though she didn't want to be stuck, Galaxy pouted and nodded her reply before staring up at the ceiling, her spark and processer filled with hope to see Arcee again.

A little while later, Bulkhead and Bumblebee arrived at the base via Groundbridge, letting out Miko and Raf before transforming in their alt-modes. Miko was the most talkative one as they all entered the main area of the base. "So get this; Bulk and I found this HUGE dune that was the size of a mountain, and we drove towards it, and we practically flew through it! It was so awesome!"

Raf chuckled and pushed up his glasses, not at all surprised at the Japanese girl's enthusiasm. "Glad you had your fun. Me and Bee had a nice, smooth drive through the town; I even stopped by the library and checked out some new books for us to read. You excited, Bee?" The yellow bot beeped and chirped happily as his doorwings fluttered in excitement.

Everything was going along fine until Miko jumpscared everyone with an abrupt question:

"WHOA! WHO'S THAT?!"

They all looked up and jerked in surprise, at the quiet Predacon femme staring at them with a blank expression. She chirped hello to them before resting her helm on the berth and closing her optics, patiently waiting until she was given the green light.

"She is Galaxy, and she's in our care until we decide what to do with her," Ratchet explained, checking the femme's vitals for any changes before giving her a dose of medical Energon to stabilize her systems.

The boys stared at each other uneasily, while Miko's brown eyes sparkled like fireworks as she stared at the Predacon femme, fangirling about how pretty she looked and how cool it was that they had another girl on the team.
