On the Nemesis, numerous beeps and taps were the only sound in the control room as Soundwave silently typed on the Control Panel, scanning the blue planet for anything new. Recently, nothing was out of the ordinary; the humans were doing their festivals and stuff, Energon was scarce, and the Autobots were on alert when Vehicon scouts were deployed. It didn't bother him in the slightest; the seeker was only deployed when necessary, and that was rare at times.
Starscream was not pleased, to say the least. His anger rose in the triple digits, and his screams and sickening laughter would echo in the halls of the Nemesis, sending chills down even Soundwave's backstruts. To put it bluntly, Starscream became an exact replica of their former leader, Megatron.
Speaking of Megatron, no one has seen or heard from him in megacycles, since he was defected and disbanded the Decepticons.
Shockwave had brought Soundwave out from the Shadow Zone, which he was thankful for, but was still cold and monotone as always while he focused on his work.
Predaking and his brothers left Cybertron, which was an unfortunate outcome from the "end of the war." However, there were rumors from the three Predacons about a lost Predacon femme, that only the seeker knew about. He didn't tell the others, for whatever reason he himself didn't know.
Then, an icon popped up on the screen. And as if on cue, the warlord himself, Starscream entered the control room. He sighed in satisfaction at the screen as he tapped his digits against his chin. "A crash landing of a Cybertronian escape pod... How interesting..."
He then pressed a button on the panel and spoke through the speaker, "Shockwave, you are needed at the main deck at once. Don't keep me waiting."
Starscream them smirked sadistically, already preparing to find the Bot or Con the escape pod belonged to, and "welcoming them warmly."
Smokescreen and Jack were the only ones Arcee felt close to at the moment. Even though they weren't there when it all happened, the two were trustworthy in her optics.
She sat on her berth, hugging her knees as she silently stared at the floor, feeling the small touch of her partner's hand on her digit, and a comforting servo on her backstruts by the bot she considered her little brother.
While Jack was used to seeing the two-wheeler like this, Smokescreen was still getting accustomed to it. However, that didn't mean he didn't still cared about her, and he was close to Arcee as well.
The silence lasted for only three more minutes when Smokescreen cleared his intake. "S-so... Uh... You know Galaxy?"
The femme sniffled, then nodded. "G-Galaxy... saved me... when I was almost killed... b-by Airachnid..."
"WHAT??!!" They both screamed, slapping their hands over their mouths in an apologetic fashion as Arcee flinched.
Then Jack frowned. "Wait, didn't Bumblebee and Cliffjumper save you?" He remembered Arcee telling him about her first encounter with Airachnid, and how the two bots came in the clutch to save her.
She lifted her optics slightly to look at him. "Yes... B-but they put me down to go find Airachnid... And she found me first... and almost killed me..." She then took a deep breath, and suddenly smiled very faintly. "And that was when... Galaxy appeared, and... saved me..."
The mech and the boy both stayed quiet, secretly feeling grateful for the Predacon femme for saving their friend. They wanted to get to know her, and how the femmes kept in touch, or even if they did.
The two-wheeler surprised them both when she picked up Jack and rested him on her chestplates, while leaning onto Smokescreen, who hesitantly and carefully, pulled her closer to his chest to make her comfortable.
"If Galaxy hadn't saved me," she whispered, "I never would've met you guys. That's why... I'm grateful for meeting everyone... But more specifically... for the three of you..."
Jack smirked, but hid his blush, while Smokescreen's faceplates were a bright blue. They group hugged the femme and kept her close, slowly falling asleep in the embrace.
