Next morning everyone gathered at the edge of the city to watch Dany and Brian depart. Stewie, Meg, Lois, Tyrion, with his niece and nephew, Myrcella and Tommen, whom he had adopted, Steve, with his wife Gilly and their son Steve Jr, Bronn, Davos, Hayley and Jeff, along with a crowd of townspeople.

"I would give much to be going with you," Tyrion said to Dany. "But someone must stay to deal with things here." His mouth twisted in the familiar mocking smile.

"Good luck, Brian!" Stewie called as Brian and Dany climbed onto the back of Drogon the black dragon.

"Thanks," said Brian. "We're gonna need it."

They had been flying for ten or twelve hours now. Dany kept assuring Brian that they were perfectly safe, but Brian was still not quite comfortable riding a dragon. He felt as battered as a shellfish clinging to a wave beaten rock. He was afraid he was going to fall off the whole time, too. Below them, countless villages and holdfasts had flashed into view and disappeared again, but above, there was only the sound of the wind.

The sun had just set when Drogon plunged downward, and Brian's stomach gave a sickening lurch. He squeezed his steaming eyes shut as his face turned green.

Abruptly, the movement ceased. The roaring of the wind died, and there was only a slow rhythmic sound- the sound of Drogon's wings, steadily beating.

"You can open your eyes now," Dany said gently. "We've landed."

When Brian opened them, he saw Dany gracefully sliding off Drogon's back to land on the ground. Brian tried to do the same, but lost his balance and fell on his face. Dany could not suppress a small giggle as she helped him back up to his feet. "Recognize this place?" she asked.

Brian looked around. Directly in front of them stood a tall stone castle, surrounded by a double curtain wall of granite. Gray and white banners hung from the windows, emblazoned with a symbol of a direwolf. "Winterfell," he said.

"I thought you might like to see your old home again."

"Everything's just as I remember it," said Brian. "Except it doesn't seem quite as cold up north anymore. I guess that must be because the White Walkers are all dead now." It was true that there was a bit of a chill in the air, but the ground wasn't blanketed with snow as it had been throughout Brian's youth.

Two figures were coming out of the gates. Brian recognized them as his friends Sansa and Arya Stark. For a long time, Winterfell had belonged to the Starks, but when Bill Cipher had merged the dimensions and reset everything, the castle had become the home of the Griffin family. But now, Sansa and Arya were back in Westeros, and Winterfell was theirs again, with Sansa styling herself the Queen in the North.

"Brian!" Sansa exclaimed. "It's so nice to see you again!"

Brian grinned. "If I had a tail, I'd be wagging it right now." He had lost his tail during the battle with Bill at King's Landing.

But now Sansa was turning her gaze to Daenerys. Brian knew that the two queens had a bit of a complicated relationship, to say the least. Sansa had once told him that in the original timeline, before Bill restarted the whole story, Dany had come to Winterfell to help the Starks fight off an army of White Walkers, but she and Sansa hadn't gotten along very well. Now, Sansa called herself "Queen in the North," but Dany only ever referred to Sansa as "Warden of the North" when she spoke of her. And this was the first time the two of them had come face to face since the timeline had been reset.

For a moment, Dany and Sansa just stared at each other, neither saying a word. Brian glanced nervously back and forth between them, afraid of what would happen if someone said the wrong thing.

"Queen Daenerys Targaryen," Sansa said at last. "How kind of you to honor us with your royal presence."

Dany's tone betrayed no emotion as she replied, "The honor is all mine… Lady Sansa."

Arya stepped up beside her sister. "That's Queen Sansa to you!"

"Yes, well, we don't have time to quibble about titles," Dany said dismissively. "Brian and I didn't just come here on a social visit. We're on a mission. All of Westeros is in danger!"

Sansa raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean? In danger how?"

"Stewie had a vision," Brian said. "Bill Cipher has poisoned the land with four vile creations of sorcery!"

"I thought Bill was destroyed," said Arya.

"He did this before he was destroyed," Brian explained. "He made these things… I'm not sure exactly what they are, but he called them the Four Sisters and placed each of them at the four corners of Westeros. They're killing all of our plants somehow, so we won't be able to grow food and we'll all starve to death!"

"Brian and I found a fragment of a map that marked the location of the first sister," said Dany. "Supposedly, it's somewhere beyond where the Wall used to stand, farther north than even Brian has been before. So, that's where we're bound."

Sansa was stunned by the news. "I thought with the White Walkers defeated, Westeros's troubles were over… but it seems this isn't the case. Perhaps we should discuss this further inside, where it's a bit warmer."

The Stark girls turned to head back inside, and Dany and Brian followed. Brian was relieved that Dany and the Starks appeared to be focusing on cooperating to solve the problem at hand, rather than fighting each other… for now.
