Batman returned with Harley to the manor long enough to get her to her room. Then he returned to the watchtower to begin the search for Booster. Harley laid on the bed, staring up at the ceiling. She was trying to process everything that had happened thus far today.

"Bruce gave me a maybe, Diana said yes, and now the league is a maybe too. I, I just don't know...it just keeps getting bigger. I asked to be a street level hero, thought that was my speed, but now I'm in consideration for world savin' duties? I know I stopped Granny but, am I really worthy of all that? Oh, Harley, what did you get yourself into?" Harley said aloud, before putting a pillow over her face.

"Quinn." Came a voice.

Harley jumped up to see Damien on the door way.

"Oh. jeez, Damien. Have you ever heard of knocking?"

"This is my house."

"Home, not house. You don't own it. At least not yet. And it's still rude."

"Are you really lecturing me? Over manners? After all you've done?"

"You aren't a shining prince yourself, ya know? People thought the second Robin was rude, but you..."

"Don't you dare speak about him! Not after what Joker did to him!"

"I ain't with the Joker and I haven't been in ages! And i hadn't even met him yet at that point. Get your facts straight before you come at me, boy wonder."

"No you get a fact straight. You aren't a hero, not even an anti one. You are better now, but you're one bad day away from being a monster again. That makes you too dangerous to be allowed to go unchecked. Father is being far too soft on you."

Harley jumped up and walked over to Damien. She looked him directly in the eye.

"Listen to me, ya overconfident brat. I'm a work in progress, i acknowledge that. But, at least i'm trying to get better. And I'm trying to make amends. But you? You think word doesn't get around? About how much Bruce has to rein you in? About how brutal and angry you are? How you've been this close to breaking ya dad's golden rule multiple times? My major malfunctions may be on display, but so are yours. And only one of us is working on themselves. So, who's on better footing here?"

Damien stared hatefuly at Harley before huffing roughly and leaving quickly. Harley stepped out into the hallway and watched Damien storm around the corner.

"Aw, crap. I should not have said that. I definitely should not have said that."

"Maybe, but Damien wasn't exactly sweet and innocent there either."

Harley looked to see Cassandra standing in the doorway of the room across the hall.

"Oh, hi Cassie. I didn't notice your room is right across from mine. Guess you heard all that?"

"I did and you both were in the wrong."

"Yeah but, I'm the adult here. I shoulda handled that better. I should go apologize."

As Harley walked off, Cassandra pulled out her phone and texted Dick.

'Harley and Damien had a fight. Damien's mad. Harley's going to apologize.'

'I'll get the first aid kit.'

Harley found Damien's room and knocked gingerly on the door.

"Go away!" Damien shouted from inside.

"Damey? It's Harley. Can we please talk?"

"I have nothing to say to you, clown."

"Please, Damey?"

Harley heard Damien stomp across the room to the door. He flung it open.

"What do you want?!"

"Well, first, please don't open the door like that. You'll put holes in the walls. And this place is too nice for that. But, more importantly, I wanted to apologize. I shoulda handled that better. I'm used to being treated like that after all. But, my head was a mess after all the crazy stuff that's been happening, especially today. I just couldn't handle it. But, its no excuse. I really am trying my best here, Damey. And part of that is admitting when I'm wrong and owning up to it. So, please, forgive me for losing my temper and snapping on you."

"...Fine. I'm not too big to admit that I pushed too hard too. I remember you weren't with the Joker when he did that to the second Robin."

"No, I wasn't. Glad for that too. I probably would've been an accomplice at that point. And have one more thing eating me from inside now. Make no mistake, kiddo. I ain't proud of the stupid things I did for love back then. By the way, did he die and come back? Cause I swear the current red hood has the right build, apparent age and skills to have been him but..."

"You got another one. Red Hood was the second Robin." Damien admitted.

"Well, that's kinda messed up. I mean, Red Hood was a name Joker used before he became the Joker. So, he assumed his killer's former title when he came back? That is really whack."

"Trust me, you aren't the only one who thinks so." Damien and Harley heard.

They looked to see Dick and Cassie standing there.

"How long have you been there?" Harley asked.

"About a minute. Cass told me about your fight. Worried it might come to actual blows, she texted me. We came to make sure everything was ok. By the way, Damien, if you have a sword with you, put it down." Dick said.

"I didn't take it that far, Richard."

"Wait, you have swords in your room?" Harley asked.

"I collect them. All blunt though. Father insisted."

"Riiiiiight. Note to self, buy Bruce a parenting tip guide."

"What was that?" Damien asked.

"Nothing. Just, I think you kids could use a woman's touch, so to speak. Bruce has done well enough, but some thing's you need mommy for. Or, at least, Auntie." Harley said, gesturing to herself.

Seeing eyebrows raise, Harley explained herself.

"Look, here's the deal. I really do appreciate all you guys are doing for me. And I'm really starting to feel like I belong here. Like I always shoulda been here. But, I know I gotta earn my place. And I gotta pay y'all back. So, here's what I propose. Since I used to be a psychiatrist and have read up on you all as much as I could, I know you have a lot of what we in the biz call trauma. So, I want you to come to me when you need to get something off your chests. I'll keep it strictly confidential, nobody needs to know but us. And dont think of it as going to see doctor Quinzel the head shrink. Think of it as confiding in you're crazy aunt Harley."

"Are you serious?" Dick asked.

"Well, since I know the most about you, Dicky, let me use you as an example. You're practically Bruce with a circus theme. The flying Graysons, right? I heard a lot of good things. Shame I never got to see you all in action, I would have loved it. And there in lies the problem. Just like Bruce, you unfortunately had to watch your parents die at a very young age. I don't know what's worse. Seeing them shot or watching them fall from up high. But, despite being brought in by someone who can relate, you still have had to live on without them for all these years. And I dare you to say that you don't get misty eyed even now when you think about them."

"Well, I..."

"See? But that's okay. Its ok to cry, Dick. And you listen to this too, Damien. Its ok to cry. The toxic side of masculinity would say that real men don't cry, but let me tell you something. Bottling it up is nothing but self destructive. Just like any container, you can only hold so much before you explode. It's perfectly ok to express your emotions. Its healthy, its normal. So, Dicky, let me ask you this. When was the last time somebody hugged you? I mean a proper hug? Pulled you in, close and tight, put your head on their shoulder, patted your back and told you to just let it all out?"

"Well, now that you mention it, Harley, that has really been a while. The last one I can remember was the original batgirl."

"Well, then..."

Harley stepped in and put Dick into the type of hug she described.

"Harley..."

"Shush. Don't be embarrassed. Cassie and Damey will get theirs later. Just take whatever comfort you can from this. We're not Nightwing and Harley Quinn right now. We're Dick Grayson and Harleen Quinzel. Two fellow humans who have been through some serious stuff. Two people who can confide and take solace in each other's care. Now just relax."

Harley gently patted Dick's back.

"I'm so sorry about your parents, Dick. I'd bring them back to you if I had the power. But, at least I can show you that I'm serious. And I'm seriously here for you. So, if you need a shoulder to cry on, you know where to find me."

"Ok, thanks, Harley." Dick said with a slight smile.

Damien snorted at the sight of Dick's look.

"Just for that, you're getting cheek kisses too when it's your turn. Big wet ones." Harley threatened mockingly.

"You better not..."

"Oh I'm gonna. And the more you struggle, the more there will be." Harley said, finally releasing Dick.

"What about me? I have only had one real hug and no cheek kisses at all in my life." Cassie said playing along with the moment.

"She said that jokingly, but she was serious, wasn't she?" Harley asked the boys.

They nodded.

"Oh sweet baby girl. You get all the hugs and kisses." Harley said, before grabbing Cassie and repeatedly giving her pecks on the cheek.

Dick chuckled slightly and Damien fought to keep from cracking a grin as they heard their adopted sister start giggling at the mad doctor's antics.

"It's nice to see you let your hair down, Cassie." Dick said.

"Well, why not? I'm at home and with family." Cassie said with a half smile.

"Hope I count in that." Harley said.

"Maybe someday. We have to get to know each other better, as just people, first."

"That's fair. But, tonight, you and me? Girl talk, my room."

"Is that my consultation time, Doctor?" Cassie asked.

"No, its surrogate aunt and niece bonding time. Like I said, I'm serious about this. I want in to this. This family. I really have thought about asking Brucie about this many times before. I just never thought he'd take me seriously. Sucks that it took Mikey disappearing to get me here but I will take it. I have to."

"Do you plan to stay, even after we find Booster?" Dick asked.

"If Bruce will let me and you all will have me. I mean, I know our history as well as you do, and I don't expect to be completely forgiven for everything. I expect to be watched. I expect monitoring. But I'm hoping for acceptance. For understanding. And, dare I say it, friendship and trust. You may never call me auntie, and that's fine. But I hope, you can eventually call me a friend."

"We'll see, Harley." Dick said, trying to put on a reassuring smile.

"Yeah, your pops said it would take time too."

"You talked to Bruce about this already?" Cassie asked.

"You all didn't really think I asked him to marry me when we talked alone earlier, did you? No, we talked about this. And he basically gave me a maybe, kinda like how you are now. And, for now, that's good enough for me. But, I'd be lying if I said the idea of being Mrs. Wayne didn't sound appealing."

Harley noticed the looks she was getting now.

"Oh, you silly kids. You're too young to appreciate such things. Anyways, I just remembered. What did you come to my room earlier for, Damey?"

"Oh, yes. I was going to tell you that Red Robin called while you and father were gone. He said he has to finish up some business where he is and he'll be in early tomorrow morning. I thought you would want to know."

"Oh, well, thank you, little bird. Can't wait to see Timmy in person."

"How the blazes do you keep doing that?" Dick said.

"Sorry, Dicky. Family secret." Harley said with a playful wink.
