A/N: Hey guys!

Disclaimer: I don't own Danny Phantom.

"Danny!" Sam yelled, running up to him in the middle of the street. It had been months since she had seen him last – he looked exactly the same, as though time hadn't flowed through him. He currently had his back to her, and she didn't stop her pursuit towards him.

In fact, she quickened her pace.

She was breathing heavily, her long hair was in her face. It had fallen out of its high pony tail that she usually kept it in. The one that she wanted to see the most these past couple of months – her best friend, was just a few feet away from her now.

He slowly turned around and eyed her coldly. She stumbled backwards, halting her run to a complete stop. "D-Danny-?" She couldn't help but sputter out. He looked to be emotionless and dead, and when he rose his clenched hand up, she could see the green ecto-blast getting ready to fire.

She felt breathless.

"Danny, no, wait-!" She raised her hands up in front of her, waving them frantically. Her eyes scanned left and right to see that the street that they were standing in had bene completely destroyed. The asphalt of the road had been overturned, leaving nothing but debris and wreckage. Cars had been flipped on their sides. Houses and buildings along the street showcased large cracks in their foundation.

Sam blinked her eyes. "Danny-!" She screamed, her eyes going back to the teenager in front of her. She didn't want to see him as an enemy. Deep down inside of his mind, she knew that he remembered their friendship.

He furrowed his eyebrows, not firing his attack at her. She attempted to inhale a quick breath to plead to him more, but found that her throat had closed up from fear and nervousness. Sam wanted to believe that he would never hurt her, and yet she was doubting that side of herself.

"How do you know me?" He questioned, causing a gasp to escape her. He rose an eyebrow and looked around, looking up at the sky for a split second before he grabbed onto her shoulder tightly.

"What are you doing-?"

"Quiet," he ordered sternly. Sam could feel her entire body become weightless. It was a feeling that she had missed over the past couple of months. It took her back to before Vlad had taken over the Earth – before everything had gone to shit. She placed a hand over her mouth to stifle any other words that wanted to come out.

She followed his gaze just in time for the familiar armored ghost to fly down towards the two of them. Sam felt terrified that she was face to face with the ghost that could send her to her very own personal nightmare realm. On instinct, she went to take a step back, but her foot sank lightly into the ground, reminding her that she was intangible for the current moment.

"Did you find any of those rebellion members?" Fright Knight asked, leering down at the teenager. Daniel tilted his head in consideration for a few moments. He wanted to know just how close he and this human girl in front of him were. He wouldn't have the time to ask these questions if he had given her up to his father just yet.

Daniel shook his head stiffly. "Obviously not."

"Keep looking, brat," Fright Knight lectured, and Daniel strained his neck away from the ghost with annoyance clearly written on his face. The young halfa decided to bite his tongue for the moment and remain silent, if only to appease the ghost and get him off his back. "Plasmius expects results. I will not be demoted to your…!" the ghost tailed, and Daniel could see the way that his eyes squinted in the darkness of his helmet. "Babysitter," he spat out with distaste.

Daniel couldn't blame him, he also wasn't too satisfied with their present roles in this mission.

"Understood?"

"Of course," Daniel spoke it off his tongue like he had always agreed with the ghost. Fright Knight once more narrowed his eyes before taking off into the sky. The young halfa waited for a few more additional seconds before removing his hand from the girl's shoulder. Once he did, she returned back to her physical, human form.

She was staring at him with surprise. "Why didn't you give me up?"

"Why don't you tell me why I shouldn't?" He placed his hands on his waist with mild interest.

Thirty Minutes Earlier:

Sam made sure to equip at least four blasters, two on each hip, and she turned around to stare at herself in the mirror. She was wearing a complete white jumpsuit. Her hand raised up to where her chest was, feeling her quickened heartbeat.

Their inside agent had told them that Plasmius was planning to annihilate the rebellion today. Although most of the teens hadn't been properly trained, it had to have been good enough. They had no other choice but to defend their home and take on the ghost army.

"Danny…"

There was a knocking at her door, and Valerie stood in her red jumpsuit, whereas Tucker was donned in one similar to hers. "You ready to go?"

"Didn't feel the white jumpsuit?" Sam questioned slyly, somehow a teasing smile was spreading across her face. Valerie raised an eyebrow and shook her head. She looked at Sam from head to toe, taking in her appearance fully.

"I don't think so," Valerie responded. Then, she glanced at Tucker. "Any word from Naomi?"

Tucker rubbed the back of his neck. "Ah, she…"

"Is right here," Naomi spoke gently from behind the two teens. Sam walked over to see the Spanish girl and gave her a small smile. "Yeah, sorry. I'm ready to fight."

"The more the merrier," Valerie spoke, placing her hand on Naomi's shoulder. She gave it a small squeeze. Naomi forced a smile on her own face, but then lights began to go off. The four teens all looked up to see the white headquarters darken to a dark shade of red. "It's time to go," she announced sternly, and the rest of the three teens nodded in agreement.

"W-What do you mean, Danny?" Sam asked, taking a step away from her best friend. He blinked his eyes, not at all hurt by the action. "You don't remember who I am?" She looked into his blue eyes and he let out a long sigh.

Then, he held up his hand again, clenching it tightly. "Answer my question before I lose my patience," he threatened darkly, not caring if he hurt the human teen girl in front of him. She swallowed nervously, her hand reaching down to the blaster on her hip. She was just a finger tips length away from grabbing the handle of the weapon, but faltered.

She couldn't hurt him.

"Why are you hesitating?" Daniel asked, looking back up at the sky. He squinted, raising a finger up in the air. Sam watched with mild interest before a steady and powerful ecto-beam emerged from the tip of it, shooting off into the sky.

There was a sound of something blowing up, and a red and black droned fell onto the ground. It was shaped in a 'V' and the both of them knew that it belonged to Plasmius.

"Talk about getting absolutely no privacy…" Daniel rolled his eyes. "Okay, so here's the deal. I want to see my sister."

"Jazz-?"

Daniel let out a small snort. "I'm not talking about a type of music…" He responded dryly. Sam was too shaken to respond to his light joke – if that's what he even was making, she wasn't too sure. At seeing that she was being serious he pursed his lips in thought while nodding. "That's her name?" He countered, while she tensely nodded. "Wonder if that was mom or Jack…?"

"I won't let you see Jazz."

The young halfa blinked his eyes at what he was hearing. "Rebellion from the…rebellion…" He trailed, smiling emptily at the girl. She felt chills run down her back. Once more her hand was aching to grab her blaster, but she didn't want to hurt Danny. "How surprising…" He added, a black ring appearing over his mid-section. It transformed him instantly to his ghost form.

If Sam wasn't intimidated or threatened by him before…she certainly was now.

Twenty Minutes Earlier

"We are putting you into groups of five," GIW Operative Z stated with his arms sternly crossed. Naomi, Sam, Tucker, and Valerie all glanced at each other. There were clearly only four of them in a group, leaving for one additional person to be added. "Naomi, you aren't going to…"

He was cut off by a high pitched voice. "I'm not going to be with these losers-!" Paulina cried, stomping her left foot on the ground.

"Are you fucking kidding-?" Naomi began to say, her Spanish accent becoming heavier and heavier as her anger only increased. "Esto es una mierda! No me voy a hacer responsable de ella-!" Naomi spoke in strictly Spanish, confusing Tucker, Sam, and Valerie.

"Naomi," Operative Z spoke, placing a hand up to silence the fiery Latina.

Naomi took a step forward, raising her index finger up at the muscular agent. "Ella es una responsabilidad. No me importa si ella es familia parcial!"

Paulina looked between the man and the Spanish teen who held a striking resemblance to her. "Can you like…speak in English?" She drawled out. "I'm like," Paulina raised her hands up and waved them both dramatically. "No comprehendo…"

"Her father doesn't know. She has no idea," Operative Z explained.

Naomi was taken by her father when she was a baby, leaving her mom alone since she was not ready to be a mother at that time. It was shortly after that when her mom was pregnant with Paulina. Naomi knew about her half-sister, but had never reached out after learning just how shallow, entitled, and spoiled she had grown up to be.

"I. Don't. Care!" Naomi yelled out. "She's nothing to me. I'm not responsible for her." She walked away, while the trio looked at each other. Tucker handed Paulina a blaster, which she reluctantly grabbed. She held it up with the tips of her fingers, letting in hang in the air as she looked at it questionably. Then, Tucker ran to catch up with Naomi.

Sam turned to Valerie with a raised eyebrow. "Is she going to be okay?"

Valerie let out a loud exhale. "She'll have to be. You know that Naomi is strong…" The red cladded girl walked over to grab two of her own blasters from the table in front of her. "She'll show up when it counts."

"You all need to get moving," Operative Z prompted.

"If Danny is-!"

Operative Z rose his hand. "I understand. If your boyfriend is out there then we will attempt to save him," then he walked out of the room, missing the hardened glare from Sam as he did. Paulina turned to look at Sam and gave her a sly grin.

"I always knew you two losers would get together-!"

"Shut the fuck up, Paulina!" Valerie yelled, cutting off the girl. Paulina closed her mouth roughly and looked at the ground. "Let's go, Sam," Valerie walked off, causing Sam to nod and follow her.

"Danny please-!" Sam cried out, taking a step back. "I know you want to see Jazz, but there's no way that you're in the right state of mind to do that."

Daniel grinned. "Are you calling me crazy?" He asked, taking a step towards her. Sam began to feel sweat crawl down her back. She shifted her glance to the left and right, wondering where the hell Valerie was. "That's something that I'd label my father," Daniel spoke, taking a small pause. "But not me," he muttered darkly under his breath.

"Jazz wouldn't like to see you like this, you-!" Sam cut herself off. Once more the feeling of breathlessness was too much for her to endure. "You're not yourself!"

"Time changes everyone…" Daniel spoke objectively. He tilted his head to the side, and Sam flinched at the unhinged look her was giving her. It seemed like there was a stranger in her friend's body. She nervously swallowed and took another cautious step back. "Isn't that right?"

Sam remained silent, unsure of how to answer him.

"Right?" Daniel repeated, earning another flinch from Sam.

"R-Right…"

Daniel continued to smile. "So, where is my sister?"

He was interrupted when a red blast knocked into his side. He hadn't been paying attention to his surroundings, his focus was purely on the black haired teen in front of him. "Danny…" Valerie breathed, hopping down from her hoverboard. She gaze in disbelief at the ground a few feet away where Daniel had been blown away to. He was resting on his side, his hand going up to his forehead in confusion, assessing quietly in his mind what exactly had just happened.

"You okay?" Valerie asked Sam, giving her a side glance.

"P-Peachy," Sam responded, unable to keep the stutter from out of her voice. Valerie nodded stiffly, not quite believing the girl's response, but decided to not push it for now.

Daniel began to chuckle as he got to his feet, wiping down his side with his hand, getting rid of the scorch mark from the ecto-blast. "Well, I suppose this really will be worth my time," he wiped the spot again, the black soot completely disappearing. He snapped his fingers, and ecto-blasts appeared around the area – lingering in the air as they continued to float there.

"What the hell did he just do-?"

"I-I don't know-!"

Valerie and Sam argued with each other, their voices not going above a whisper. "You two both know me. It's a shame that I don't remember the two of you…" Daniel took a step towards the two of them. "Otherwise I might weaken my blows out of respect for out past."

The two teen girls looked at the dangerous floating ecto-blasts, not knowing what move would be the best to take. They didn't know what these attacks did, or even how to counter them for that matter. They were in the dark about Danny's newfound abilities.

Sam assumed he learned them from Plasmius – they had really underestimated the older half ghost.

Daniel took another step only to get shot once in the upper left shoulder, and then the lower right side. He stumbled back, holding his now abused side. He had gotten shot there twice now, and a bruise was beginning to form. He let out an inhuman growl and looked up to see a teen boy holding two blasters in each of his hand.

Sam and Valerie both breathed a sigh of relief. "Tucker," Sam whispered and she smiled. He grinned cockily before stepping a few steps forward to reunite with his friends.

"Miss me?" Tucker teased.

Daniel narrowed his eyes at his new opponent – this was beginning to annoy him.

Then, the multiple ecto-blasts that he had set around the area began to dissipate one by one as someone from a high vantage point began to shoot at them. Daniel looked up, pin pointing instantly where the shooter was. He eyed a girl that was also donned in white, striking his ecto-blasts with shocking accuracy with just a regular blaster.

Glaring at the girl, he rose a hand up to shoot her down from the building she was on, only to see the boy raise his two guns at him. "Don't even think about it, dude!" Tucker growled out, causing Daniel to shift his eyes back to him.

"This is becoming…" Daniel trailed. "Very irritating…"

His ecto-blasts had disappeared as the sharp shooter had managed to get every single one in the span of ten seconds, possibly less. The three teens in front of him all raised their weapons at him, and he looked at the ecto-blasters with a raised eyebrow.

Daniel breathed in deeply, and then…he fired.
