One Chapter Only
Kate had replaced her two used clips for her AR-15 and walked out of Castle's bedroom finally only to find Rick and Alexis already dressed and waiting on her. At least she had everything she had last time with her AR-15 over her shoulder.
"So where are we going?" She still had just over three weeks off work and was thinking she had time for this. Since Rick and Alexis did this, and she wanted to find out if she and Rick could make it work, she was going with them.
Her one week of paid vacation was over. She had spent what was left of it making love to Castle. She spent time with them in the loft. And she went out to get the ammunition she needed for her AR-15.
Rick filled her in. "It's a city in Faerûn called Waterdeep. About sixty-four percent humans, ten percent Dwarves, ten percent Elves, five percent Halflings, five percent Half-elves, three percent Gnomes, two percent Half-orcs, and one percent other. A little over one point three million in population. It's the single largest city we know about. City of Splendors, Crown of the North. We're going to sell what you don't want from last trip, and buy you things you need or want. We may have to visit more than one of the Wizard Guilds to buy them. But they'll have it.
"Alexis and I want to purchase a few potions for just in case moments," he added.
"Alright, and this Adventure you know about?" Kate questioned them.
"Island Nation of Lantan. Someone stole one of their ships. Supposedly it's a magical ship, so we're betting they want it back. It's off the coast of Waterdeep in the Trackless Sea. We're going to need to find passage most likely," Rick said.
"Since none of us breathe water, we think potions of Water Breathing that we've heard about are necessary. That's about where our knowledge of this potion ends," Alexis went on to say.
Kate took a wild guess. "Pirates?"
Rick nodded. "Most likely. Keep in mind this land is pre-gunpowder so there are no cannons, guns, dynamite, and the like. Like Katelyn, your weapons are going to be seen as magical. A little loud but magical."
"Silencers aren't that easy to get." She wasn't going to go to the Mob and see if she could purchase one or two. That was out. She was just going to have to put up with the noise.
"If you want to keep using them I suppose I could find someone. It will take time, but I'm betting I know someone that would sell them to me," Rick offered. And he even had someone in mind. Sal was actually a nice guy.
"Maybe next time." Kate would do without.
"You know how this works if you're ready." Rick held out his hand that Kate took and she reached out to take Alexis's hand. Kate watched Castle touch sections of the mirror and say something she still needed to ask him about since she didn't recognize the language.
In an instant they were outside with the sun high overhead. They weren't even on a road, but it was close. Rick pointed to a city in the distance. "Waterdeep."
Kate saw a wall and buildings behind it. From here it looked big. A lot bigger than the last city she had been in in Vaasa.
"This city actually has sewers," Rick disclosed. "Bet you can guess where they dump that sewage."
"In the water." Kate shuddered at the thought.
"We avoid the dock area as much as possible just for that reason. However, if we want a boat ride, we're not going to have a choice this time," Alexis said.
"Lovely." Still, Kate kept up walking with the other two to reach this city and see just what it looked like.
{-}|{-}
They eventually were in Wizard Guild number two to sell and purchase items for Kate.

"Well, that wasn't so bad." It turned out most, if not all, of the Wizard Guilds were in the same section of the city. Now they were outside looking around. To Kate it sort of reminded her of all those pictures of London where there were horses and horse-drawn wagons and carriages for people everywhere.
"Hello, you are Castle?" It was a human with pale white skin, copper hair, and green eyes, who was clad in robes of Saffron marked with the symbol of Gond, a local deity the people worshiped. "I come from the Nation of Lantan with an offer if you will hear me out?" Since no one said no or go away, he kept speaking.
"We are a peaceful, loving people, and we fight only when we have no choice. A few months ago a powerful storm stuck our area. Our astronomers believe it was the result of a celestial object hitting the ocean. We lost a few ships, one of which we used to deliver messages. We cannot allow the technology of this ship to fall into the wrong hands.
"We have heard of a vessel matching its description operating near Lathtral's Lantern. It is being used to sink and pillage trading ships. We cannot allow this to continue. It is the Gond's Pride.We must have this ship back. I am authorized to offer your group five thousand gold pieces for you to find it and bring it back to us.
"Someone suggested to us that you might be interested. My name is Tuskor, my lead Cleric that offers this deal is Yogol, Priest of Gond from the Temple of Gond." He was hoping the name of his god would help. Gond was as a well-respected name in and around this city.
Alexis jumped at it. "Two thousand each and you got yourself a deal." It was the Adventure they had heard something about. She was curious as to just how they'd learned their last name.
"How do we get to this Lathtral's Lantern?" Rick inquired and didn't object to Alexis altering the deal.
"I accept. Meet me at Dock C-6. There will be a ship waiting, the Spirit of Sambar. You have three hours, if that is acceptable?" He needed to get word to the ship that was anchored off shore and not at the dock.
"Three hours will be perfect," Rick told him and watched him hurry away. "That was pretty simple."
Something was off and Kate felt uneasy. "Castle? How did he know your name and what you looked like?"
"That's a good question, Beckett, a very good question. We can ask him during our voyage." Rick was curious about that as well.
"Potion shopping, Dad. I for one do not want to drown. That or we go back into the Wizard Guild and see what he has," Alexis suggested.
Goggles of Underwater Action – 12,500 gold pieces each. It allows you to see five times as far as normal underwater and creates a sustained bubble around the head allowing you to breathe underwater. But it did nothing about the crushing depth or temperature of the water.
"I don't have twelve thousand any longer." Kate had the five hundred but not the twelve grand.
"We do." Rick bought two, but they had to go to a different Wizard Guild for Alexis to purchase hers. Now she had two pairs of goggles and had a decision to make on just which pair to have around her neck and when.
"Thanks, I'll make it up to you." Kate would find a way to pay him back.
Kate spent five hundred gold pieces on two Elixirs of Swimming. Each one would last for one hour. Now they were back to the first Guild so Rick and Alexis could purchase one each.
Next was a trip to a Temple to purchase various strengths of Cure Wounds.
Now they were finally headed for Dock C-6.
{-}|{-}
The Spirit of Sambar turned out to be a Warship which was unexpected and a bit of a shock. It was used as an escort for merchant vessels through dangerous waters. They were even allowed to wander around and look it over.
They found a bird that beat its wings into the sails. A generator that spewed smoke from a bird's beak. Exploding nets that could be dropped from the back of the ship. Mechanical devices that were used to raise and lower the sails quickly and another to raise the anchor.
It had a crew of thirty plus the Captain, First Mate, and Cleric for medical.
Late in the afternoon the Captain came to them. "This is as far as a ship of this size can come to Lathtral's Lantern. From here you will be rowed to shore. I suggest you avoid going anywhere near the Evil Temple of Umberlee. They are an Evil group and I would bet gold pieces that they are involved somehow."
{-}|{-}
They had two crew members rowing them. Rick told them to row them up the river since he planned to ignore the Captain's advice. He and Kate had already talked and agreed that an Evil Temple was a good place to start. They just had to find it.
It turned out to be easy to spot. Well, the entrance anyway. In the center of a ridge they could all see a set of what looked like nearly three hundred very steep steps going up into the rock. The shore was a bit rocky, so Rick, Kate, and Alexis had to get their feet wet.
"May Gond follow you," one of the crew called as they rowed back to the ship.
"Evil Temple?" Alexis questioned. Not that she had an issue with that.
Rick shrugged. "Nice people don't steal ships, you know."
"We agreed that it was a good place to start." Kate looked up. "I just hadn't planned on three hundred steps."
"We don't have to walk them. I gave you one of my shirts, and it mostly fits you. We put a hole and cover in your pants for your tail," Alexis reminded her.
"True." Kate flexed a little. She was taller and a little bigger than Alexis, but it still mostly fit. It wasn't camouflaged like her other shirt, but it did have slots in the back for her wings. That meant she didn't have to get naked to shift into her Succubus form. Plus their breast size was almost identical as Succubi.
{-}|{-}
Flying to the cave entrance was easy, and since as Demons they had Darkvision, they could see where they were going. However, after about thirty feet into the cave tunnel it split left and right. On the wall was a symbol with an arrow.
Rick started to walk down that way. "Hold up, Castle." Kate got him to stop. "If you live and work here, why do you need an arrow to tell you which way to go?"
"Good question." Rick finally saw what Kate was seeing. "That way." He gestured to the other tunnel and walked that direction.
About fifty feet down the tunnel they came across something very interesting. There were eight harpoons sticking out of the walls, four on each side. Rick knelt down and checked the floor. "Loose trip wire." He lifted it up a little to show them.
Kate frowned. "Someone's been here already. Why don't I like that idea?"
"We're plan B? Maybe two thousand gold each after we succeed was too little," Rick said, thinking what Kate was thinking.
"I suggest Ethereal from here on. Just barely so we can still see where we're going," Alexis proposed. She immediately saw Kate go Ethereal, followed by her dad, and then herself. So they walked right through the harpoons, turned right, and came upon a set of spiral stairs going up.
A well-lighted corridor opened up. At the far end was a set of wood and iron bound doors. Then a pair of doors on either side halfway down. The left had a blue and a red card on the outside. Presently the blue one was on the door. Rick opened it and peered in. "Outhouse. Stinks like one too." He closed the door.
That had Kate opening the other door and she found something far different. A man wearing a light blue tunic had a shortsword plunged into his chest. The other was a young woman. She had leather armor but no weapon. Kate reached for her neck and looked up at Rick. "She has a pulse!"
"Door. Take a quick peek, but that's all." Rick said to Alexis who walked that way, still Ethereal. "Here, Kate, see if you can get most of this down her throat. Rick handed Kate a vial of Cure Critical Wounds.
In the end it took two since the first one didn't all go down her throat. She woke up and spun a very interesting tale. "My name is Shirila Montoya. I was part of a party of seven called Flaming Fist. It was an ambush. They called us Castle and told us we were here to die.
"They came out of walls on all sides and cut us down with far too much ease. They had spells at the ready and we didn't stand a chance. I ran here but was followed. I know I killed him, but then I must have passed out. We need to finish. Maybe some of us are still alive but held captive." Shirila looked at the two of them warily. "Who are you?"
But before either of them could answer, Alexis returned. "The next room has seen a large battle, Dad. There are damaged benches like in a church. Flame marks in a couple of places. A raised dais on the far side. There are narrow open doors on all sides. But there are no bodies. Lots of blood everywhere though." Alexis noticed the stranger. "Who is she?"
"She is Plan B," Rick replied. "Sounds like we're plan A, but plan B got here first."
Rick pointed to the sword in the chest of the other guy. "Your shortsword I presume, Shirila?"
"Yes. …Plan B?" Shirila didn't understand.
"You know, if they think she and the others are us, they won't be expecting us," Kate reasoned. "We can have the element of surprise."
"You… us?" Shirila needed to think about that. "You're this Castle?" she asked incredulously. "Why do you all have wings and horns on your head?" Who or what were these people?
"You feel like standing?" Rick asked her. She nodded and he helped her up. Rick went over to the dead body, pulled her sword out of its chest, and gave it to her. "You might need this."
He stopped her at the double doors. "Wait here, do not enter this room again unless we tell you to." Then three Ethereal Demons went into the room and headed for open doors.
"This way, Dad and Kate." Alexis had found something at the very back. "Peephole." Alexis pointed to it and walked through the wall into the space behind the wall. She stuck her head back out again a minute later. "This way."
The corridor got seriously narrow. It eventually ended in a doorway. Alexis put her head through the door and looked. "This way." Alexis walked to the other side and they all saw a well-lighted, long, ten foot wide corridor that was filled with doors all the way down on either side until it turned right.
The doors turned opened into bedrooms. Each room had beds for three usually, but not always. But they only found six people in beds. All of them were bloodied and didn't look all that great.
They were Demons, and while Kate had more of an issue with it, they killed five of the six. They woke the lone survivor, and Kate used Charm on him and got him to talk.
Even charmed he seemed to fight back. Still, they learned about this Temple as well as the imminent arrival of the Tribute Gatherer.
Instead of killing him, they used rope to tie him to his bed, placed a gag in his mouth, and tied it in place. They had killed enough already. This fellow got to live.
So far, they had pearls (two hundred gold pieces), gems (one hundred fifty gold pieces), a necklace (seventy-five gold pieces), eight pieces of jewelry (two thousand five hundred gold pieces), and a diary that they would read later.
The first room turned out to be a dining room with a kitchen next door that had a cook who attacked them with a rolling pin and a meat cleaver. He died easily since he couldn't hit the person in front of him and got hit from behind till he was dead.
His quarters held twenty gold pieces, three hundred silver pieces, four hundred seventy-one copper pieces, a telescope, a map of the Sword Coast, and a magical dagger, or so Alexis told them after using another charge on her wand. (+2 dagger)
Also in this room under a cover was a parrot in a cage. "HEY! Who are you? HEY! Who are you? HEY! Who are you?" The bird said it over and over again.
"Polly want a cracker?" Alexis asked it.
"Sam wantsa finger. Sam wantsa finger. Sam wantsa finger." It was very excited. It was still asking even after Rick put the cover back over its cage. Rick shook his head. "That is one screwy parrot."
Next came a set of spiral stairs going down, and down, and down. Since they were Ethereal they didn't cause a trap to go off because they weren't really there. It saved someone a massive electrical shock.
A narrow corridor that was fifteen feet tall had a ladder halfway down, lying on the floor. That had Alexis up looking through walls on one side and Rick did the other. Kate, meanwhile, continued on and could hear voices in the distance.
"Dad, got something." She just needed to figure out how to reach it, so she became solid, used the ladder, and opened the door.
There was a chest with fifty platinum pieces, four hundred gold pieces, two hundred twenty-three silver pieces, and fifty-seven copper pieces. And a longsword, staff, bracers, three potions, a ring, battle-axe, and chain mail. "All magic, Dad." Half went into her back pack and half into Rick's.
(+2 longsword, Staff of Fire – 44 charges, +2 bracers of armor, +1 ring of protection, +2 battle-axe, +2 chain mail, 3 potions of cure light wounds.)
Kate put a finger to her mouth, shushed them to keep quiet, and pointed. Off to the right was a hanging cage that held three naked prisoners. Outside the cage were three people. One held a trident and was doing all the talking.
"She's interrogating them. Says if they don't talk she'll feed them to whatever's in the water." In front of them was an underground lake with an opening off to the left. "Something about a Gatherer that is an Unholy Messenger that will eat them?" Kate thought she heard right.
"Flaming Fist captives I'm guessing," Rick offered. He looked at Kate and Alexis. "We remain Ethereal, fly to their captors, and kiss them. One for each of us," Rick said.
"And Dad can have the lone women since I don't really want to kiss a girl," Alexis grimaced.
"Works for me." Rick had no objections.
"Works for me too," Kate agreed. "At least this time there are no Dragons and I'm still never summoning a Demon ever again."
They went a little deeper into the Ethereal Plane till they got close. They became solid and kissed, and kissed, and kissed until finally, all three of them were dropped.
"That was easy?" Alexis liked it. She turned her focus on the ones in the cage. "So, who are you?"
{-}|{-}
(+2 Ring of Protection, +1 Harpoon)
Balorus was a Flaming Fist Human Mage, Lekelatar was a Flaming Fist Elf Fighter/Mage, and Sir Roderick was a Flaming Fist Human Paladin.
"We never stood a chance," Balorus told them. "It was a well-planned ambush."
"They said they were expecting us and said we were Castle." Lekelatar didn't understand that.
"Shirila is still alive. We left her way back that way." Alexis handed over four potions. "You can use these healing potions on your unconscious friend and yourselves."
"Are you Demons?" Balorus wasn't sure since Demons were universally Evil. Pure Evil. They didn't rescue people, help heal their wounds, and let them escape.
"Yup, gotta go. See you later." Alexis went back to being Ethereal and moved toward the other opening where her dad and Kate had gone.
In there she saw something really different. It was tied to the dock and kind of looked like a ship, but it didn't have masts, or sails, or much of anything. It was maybe about fifty feet long.
It had a chair and a wheel that turned and went forward and backwards. Alexis sat in the chair and studied all the controls. She looked over at her dad. "Seal the hatch. I think we can take this. I think this says air bubble. This turns on the power. I don't see an opening. I'm pretty sure this is a submarine. A little primitive but a submarine."
Rick raised an eyebrow. "No wonder they want it back!"
"Maybe there's an underground opening," Kate suggested.
{-}|{-}
The Spirit of Sambar was right where they had left it. Some of that crew took over and Rick, Kate, and Alexis sailed back to Waterdeep on the Spirit of Sambar.
They each got their two thousand gold pieces as promised. The Captain of the Spirit of Sambar gave each of them another thousand gold pieces, thanked them for returning their ship, and told them they were welcome in Lantan anytime they chose.
"Now what?" Kate thought they were done and it had only taken them two or three days so far. She had another two and a half weeks off work.
"Shopping. We have stuff to sell and stuff to buy. You need a lot of things, still," Alexis answered her.
{-}|{-}
+2 ring of protection (sold, six thousand gold pieces)
+1 harpoon (sold, one thousand gold pieces)
+2 longsword (sold, two thousand gold pieces)
+2 battle-axe (sold, two thousand gold pieces)
+2 chain mail (sold, three thousand gold pieces)
+1 ring of protection (sold, three thousand gold pieces)
+2 bracers of armor (sold, five thousand gold pieces)
Kate was given twenty-five thousand gold pieces to spend on what she wanted or needed.
{-}|{-}
A quick trip home and Kate was in the master bathroom naked as a Succubus yet again and was looking at herself in the mirror.
She knew she was learning something about Rick, Alexis, and herself. This wasn't the Hamptons, however she was learning about Castle and herself like she had wanted. It just wasn't how she had seen it working out.
"Yes, we're going to keep making love." She knew she was already addicted to his massive, magnificent cock. The feel, taste, and the feeling of having it in her pussy.
"Maybe by the time I go back to work, I'll admit to myself that I love him." Kate told the Succubus in the mirror.
{-}|{-}
Kate knew she had lost her mind. Rick had a way of getting her to have orgasm, after orgasm, after orgasm. She had long since stopped even thinking about it. She was just letting her body orgasm.
They had even fucked three times. Right now she was resting on Castle, still totally naked, and still a Succubus. Her pussy had never been that full of cum ever. She had never felt this great in her life.
But her mind was on that diary they had found. "So who is Platonus? According to that diary he ratted you and Alexis out. He knew the Castle name." She was Beckett and not Castle. At least not yet. Then Kate smiled at him. "And I want another date, mister."
"He gave us the lead to that stolen ship. So why me and Alexis? What did we do?" Rick needed to think about that.
"He certainly knows who you are," Kate mentioned. "So what's next? I still have two weeks off work. And it better not involve that guy. And are you sure it's safe to go back to Waterdeep? What if he knows you two are Demons?"
"We need to talk to Alexis. She's out getting male cum right now. She has a lead about something in a desert somewhere. I don't know much about it. You didn't buy anything so back to Waterdeep first." They needed to plan for a desert. "And only those Flaming Fist fellows and Katelyn know about us. We've been trying to be careful. I don't know what he's trying to accomplish." Rick really didn't know.
"So are you hooked?" Rick grinned as he asked her.
"Yes, and you can stop grinning, mister, before I smack that grin off your face," Kate told him but kissed him instead. She was going to let herself fall in love with him, her soon to be Incubus boyfriend and lover.

Guest - This is fiction. I try to stick with facts but if that doesn't work for me i make changes. So YES an AR-15 can be placed on full auto. Live with it. As for a silencer the point is to reduce the noise. Most readers are not as well versed in them as you are. So all anyone will hear is a tiny PUFF of sound. It's called Writers prerogative. So just read and enjoy and go with the flow. But thanks for the information. I will store that information in memory for next time. Happy reading.
