Hello, fellow Fanimaniacs! Unfortunately, this is not a continuation of the fic. It is, however, the promised half-chapter which I completely forgot to publish the day I discontinued AfO. I'm posting it today for a special reason: Today is my two-year anniversary of discovering fanfiction! Unfortunately, I wasn't able to write anything out in time (though I am formulating ideasfor many of my current stories), so I decided to share this with all of you. It is a little bittersweet rereading this, as I feel it would have become one of my favorite chapters. It is interesting to think about what could have been, however. Now, without further ado, please silence all electronic devices and enjoy the half-chapter!

Chapter 6: World War Toon (Or Battle of the Toons Part 4)

As soon as we created the group chat and explained the situation, we received at least a dozen replies right away. Everyone was eager to take action against Salad Bar, and so we agreed to meet at the base of the water tower the next day at 6:30 a.m. for the element of surprise. Now, as you dear readers already know, I am not a morning person. However, I knew it was for a good cause, and the adrenaline pumping through my veins would most likely wake me up. Now, all we needed was a way to distract ourselves, as it was only 1:30 in the afternoon.

I let out a dramatic sigh and flopped on the ground. "I wish I had my violin or trombone or piano or guitar or Nathan's sax or Mom's flute or the drumset or something."

My family was very musical. My dad played the piano very well, both he and my brother could play the drums, my mother played the flute, her brother and my cousin both played the violin, Nathan played the saxophone and guitar (both acoustic and electric) and used to take piano lessons from my father, and I played the violin, trombone, and piano. Francesca played the violin as well.

Unfortunately, every one of those instruments was back at my house, and there was no way for us to obtain them. And it wasn't as though we could mosey on down to an orchestra pit, either.

Cassie looked deep in thought. Suddenly she snapped her fingers. "Wakko's gag bag!"

I looked up, confused. "Huh?"

"I bet Wakko has something in his gag bag, don't you, Wakko?"

"Let me check!" said Wakko, pulling out his gag bag.

"You're a genius, Cass!" grinned Francesca.

Cassie just smirked.

Suddenly a thought struck me. "Hey, didn't you guys have a piano? Wakko was playing it in White Gloves."

"Yeah! What happened to it, Yakko?" asked Skippy.

"Well, we got a little bored in quarantine and, uhhhh… let's just say it was involved in a physics lesson," responded Yakko, a little sheepishly.

I chuckled. "The poor piano. Press f to pay respect."

"Found it!" Wakko announced triumphantly, holding up a guitar from the depths of his bag.

"Yes!" I grinned, reaching for the guitar.

At this point, I was supposed to play I'm Only Sleeping by the Beatles/John Lennon. My toon powers would have enabled Francesca and I to play any instrument effortlessly. More of what would have happened will be posted today or tomorrow. I had several larger ideas for what would have happened next, but couldn't find a way to string them all together. It will make more sense tomorrow.

(The above note was from the day I discontinued AfO. I will do my best to post what would have happened next tomorrow :3)
