One Chapter Only

348 West 57th Street, New York, New York. Kate didn't know whose idea this was but it seemed to be working out. It was just that they needed to hurry up and decide. The United States was putting the finishing touches on the Company. It wasn't privately owned. It was State owned.

This was a different United States from what was in the history books that were now banned in every school. Kate was old enough to remember those days, not just read about them. More accurately, she remembered the day it happened.

The Office of President had become President for Life. He wasn't even elected any longer. Voting for President had already been phased out. The day she was remembering was the day the United States House of Representatives was dissolved. All that was left was the Senate.

Gerrymandering had made sure that the United States was now one party. It wasn't even really a Republic any longer. It was a State. Each state still had a governor but he wasn't elected, either. He was selected by the Senate.

Kate walked in and inserted her key to open her Post Office Box. There were four of them. Not all of them were located in the States. Inside she found two letters. Kate looked them over. The rule was to never use a return address but that didn't stop the letter from getting a stamp.

One was clearly New York and the other was France. Since she was right next to Central Park that was where she went to read them. They needed to agree soon before the States started their Company.

If they didn't, just getting out of the States might be a problem. She nor the others knew how they planned to spot them but it might be something simple. Everyone needed a new passport after providing a blood sample. Whatever it was they needed to choose soon.

Kate chose the New York one first and ripped it open. Kate was betting it was a he. It was the words he used. His English and grammar were perfect so she was guessing a teacher that taught English. College most likely.

It was quick and to the point. Concarneau, France. "Really!?" She hadn't expected that. Not from him. He had been fighting for Palmerston Island that was somewhere around New Zealand. It only had telephone service two hours a day, Internet service two hours a day, and only one cargo ship per year.

It did at least have electricity and running water. The topic was where to escape to, somewhere that they could all help support and pay for.

Kate put that letter under her leg to hold it in place and opened the other one. This one was from France somewhere and it had very nice writing. Kate was betting it was a her and not a guy. It felt feminine to her.

"Concarneau, France?"Kate raised an eyebrow over that one as well. She – if it was a she – had been fighting for Malta or Crete. Kate had noticed that so far, except for her, the others had been trying to find a house. Land to live on. A place to live. To share a house.

Kate, however, had been arguing for something different. She wanted a catamaran that was large enough to live on. She had even found one that was really nice.

2018 JFA Yachts Long Island

It had four cabins and six heads. There were four of them and four beds. They just had to fight over who got which bed. The idea was that it was a boat. If they didn't like where they were, they could just sail it somewhere new.

The best part about this boat was that it was a combination power and sail. It had two sails but it also had two 380 horse power motors that used diesel with a little over a one thousand gallon fuel tank.

It had everything they needed. It even had a combination washer and dryer. She didn't know how that worked but it sounded simple enough. And it came with a sixteen foot tender.

"Now I just need the other one to agree." Kate smiled wide.

The idea was simple enough. One of them bought the boat while the other three reimbursed them based on which bedroom they took. The main trick was the boat was listed at € 9,500,000 which was 10,774,398.07 US Dollars. Kate had just over one million so she was going to get one of the little rooms. But that was fine. It wasn't the bedroom that concerned her. It was where they lived that counted, not where she slept.

Kate went back to her letter. "I will purchaseit. Each of you willfly into Concarneau, place your money in a bank, and write out a cashier's check to me after you arrive. In Euros, please. I will purchase the boat immediately after hearing from each of you.

"I look forward to meeting each of you. Now, think of where you might want to move the boat to and maybe have some sailing lessons if you can arrange it."

"She can afford ten point seven million dollars?" Kate's mouth fell open and she reread that letter to make sure she didn't miss anything.

Next she stood over a public trash can and tore both letters into as many tiny pieces as she could.

"Now I need to put my plans into place. Right after I send each one a letter about the boat."

Rick opened his Post Office Box and found three letters. Like Kate he was paying attention to the postmarks. One was New York so someone was in his city perhaps, though anywhere in New York was possible. One was France and one was Monaco, like always.

Rick walked across the street, ordered a coffee, and sat down and opened each one. Concarneau, France was in all three of them. "Guess that answers that." At roughly ten point seven million it was too much for him but together it sounded like they could afford it. They wouldn't know how much from each of them till they got there. At ten point seven million he knew he wasn't getting the Owner's Cabin. That puppy was large, right across the front of the boat. But that was fine. He didn't care.

The hard part was going to be who. The idea behind this was that they needed two men and two women. They either paired off or swapped off to get the Cum they needed. No need to go into any city to get what they needed. But how was that going to work?

All of them were going into this knowing that, but talking about it and doing it were two different things. Rick ripped his letters to bits and headed home to plan. Move money to a bank, get a plane ticket, and find a hotel room.

Pierre Casiraghi found three letters in his box and walked across the street and sat down to open them. "Concarneau, France. Okay." He approved of the choice. It meant mobility instead of anchoring themselves somewhere. Mobility was key to living in his eyes. He knew how much he could afford to spend but wasn't sure it was going to be enough to get the Owner's Cabin, but he would see. However, someone was clearly rich enough to be able to purchase the boat and be reimbursed.

Like the others, he knew it was two men and two women. After that he knew nothing. That was the way this deal worked. This way none of them needed yet another one-night stand. Those things were what was going to get all of them caught one of these days.

He rent them to shreds and headed home to make plans.

Serena found three envelopes in her box. She walked across the street to a restaurant where she ordered an Espresso and opened her envelopes. She was not surprised that all three were confirming the boat. Each would arrive as early as they could. That told her she needed to get moving. Pack up, take a train and go purchase the boat, and make sure it had everything they would need. Food was at the top of her list.

She made sure her letters were in tiny bits and pieces and were dropped into different trash cans.

Unbeknownst to each other, Kate and Rick were on the very same bus headed for Montreal. One of them had a fake Canadian passport that should pass for real while the other had a real Canadian passport.

They were each thinking that by flying out of Canada it would make it harder for someone to follow them or leave a paper trail. They also had new names.

They were on the 8:35pm flight out of Montreal with a three hour layover in Paris on Royal Air.

Katherine Beckett was now Adèle Lavoie. Kate had a new hair style. It was a boy cut. Seriously short in the back but long on the top. Her natural hair color for the back but blonde for the top.

Richard Castle became Laurence Bouchard. Rick now sported a Marine hair cut. It was extremely short all around. He barely even recognized himself let alone anyone else.

Each had one checked bag and one carry-on, though Kate had a purse that was almost more carry-on bag. It was an overnight nineteen hour fight in total. Yet that took them to Quimper which meant a bus ride or train ride to reach Concarneau. It didn't have an airport. So this was going to take close to twenty-four hours.

- :|: - :Ɣ: - :|: -

Kate was dragging. Her long legs in economy meant she didn't get much sleep. She was also nervous. She was a Succubus and was soon going to be hunted by damn near everyone. Especially the United States. The party in charge had decided that anyone that wasn't white and human had to go.

If your skin wasn't white they were talking about deportation. Demons like her simply had to be killed. If the United States had its way all the other countries would be hunting down Demons.

Yes, some Demons were evil, but not all of them. A few bad apples and they were all guilty.

Hotel Du Port. She had a very basic room and it was close to the marina. Tomorrow she would go to the marina, find the boat, and get a name to make the check out to since her money was in a local bank. BNP Paribas – Concarneau.

Rick had gotten catnaps and was walking into his hotel. Tomorrow he would go to the marina, locate the boat, and get a name to make the check out to since her money was in a local bank. BNP Paribas – Concarneau.

Brit Hotel de L'Ocean. He had a simple enough room thinking he needed to get used to being in a small bedroom. He was going to need a taxi to reach the marina.

- :|: - :Ɣ: - :|: -

All four of them had agreed on a time to meet in the marina's office since none of them knew what the others looked like.

It was almost comical as all three of them approached the same woman and asked, "Are you Maélie Caron?"

"Oui," she replied. She soon met LaurenceBouchard, Felix Cote, and Adèle Lavoie. "A pleasure." She gave each of them a quick kiss to the cheek. "English?" She was using French.

"Or Russian," Adèle offered.

"English is good for me,"Laurence said.

"French or English is good," Felix told her.

"English it is. We need security cards to get past the security gate to reach the boat." She took them to the desk and then walked them to the boat.

Serena Kaye had become Maélie Caron. Her blonde curls were gone. She had a boy cut that was really short in back and blonde but straight on top. It took some work with a flat iron but she had managed.

Pierre Casiraghi's new name wasFelix Cote. His long black hair that he so loved was gone. Now he nearly had a Mohawk. It was short on the sides but longer on top and a little long in back.

"I have food and have laundered all of the bedsheets. Bring me the cashier's checks in the name of Maélie Caron. Then we can decide who gets what room. After you three move in we can discuss what comes next.

"How is America?" She knew she had sent some of her mail there.

"Bad," Rick told her.

"Really bad. The try at Democracy and liberty is over. The US is something else now. The closest I can come to describe it is from history is Nazi Germany. If you aren't white or part of the correct party, you have trouble," Kate answered.

"She's not kidding. It's believed, which is hard to verify since there is no longer a free press, that they will start hunting in about three months. Maybe less. If I was doing it I would set up something at every International airport and every port that has International shipping like Cruises first," Rick said.

"What passports are you traveling under?" Serena inquired. If they had the wrong ones it meant a train trip to perhaps Paris or Lyon to get different ones.

"Canadian," Kate replied.

"Canadian here, too," Rick responded.

"French," Pierre returned.

"Good, check out of your hotels, bring your luggage and your checks, and meet me here on the boat," Serena told them.

- :|: - :Ɣ: - :|: -

Kate held the gate open since it looked like Rick was right behind her, not that she had seen him arrive. "Thanks." Rick held it open and pulled his bag through.

"Are you the New York stamp on my letters?" Rick asked her.

"That's me. Born and raised in New York City. Mom was French Canadian so I have a dual citizenship." It was how she had gotten here.

"So was I!" Rick was surprised. "Still, it is a big city. If we didn't move in the same circles we might have missed each other."

"My parents are gone so I was living frugally in the Bronx," Kate told him.

Rick smiled at her. "Manhattan for me, so I guess we just missed each other."

Rick and Kate were first back but Pierre wasn't that far behind.

Serena looked at Kate's check. "One point one million US." She set it aside. Rick's was next. "Two point eight million US." She laid his on top of Kate's. Pierre's was next. "Two point two million Euros. Laurence, it looks like you get first choice. Just stay away from the Owner's Cabin far forward. That one is mine," Serena told him.

Rick nodded and walked away.

"Felix, you're next when he returns. Sorry, Adèle," Serena offered.

"I don't mind. I'm out of America and somewhere that should be safe. Besides, I'm only ever going to sleep there most likely." Now where Kate had sex and with whom still needed to be worked out.

"Well said. My room has a king, we have four queen size and five twin beds. Everyone gets their own bathroom. There are no tubs, though, just showers," Serena said to her. "But then you know that since it was you that found this boat."

"Yes, I know. I'm going to miss having a hot bath, but we do have a hot tub upstairs." Kate glanced up at the ceiling.

"We do indeed. How are you two at sailing?" Serena asked them since Rick was still gone. She watched Kate waggle her hand from side to side.

"I know enough to get us all into trouble," Pierre said.

"Depending on what Laurence knows it might be you and I doing all the sailing then," Serena commented.

"Works for me." Pierre didn't have an issue with that.

"Forgive me if I'm being forward but this is important. When do each of you need Cum?" Serena knew what she was asking.

"Ten days," was Pierre's answer.

"Seven days for me." Kate knew it was a problem that needed resolved and soon.

"We will work it out." Serena was thinking she knew who she was interested in but needed to wait. "You're next, Felix," Serena said since Rick was back.

"They're amazing, almost all the same size save for the areas with the twin beds," Rick commented.

"This is a charter boat. Those are meant for the crew. The Owner's Cabin is exactly that – the owner's cabin. The others are guest quarters. I thought a charter boat might mean more space for us. Though it was the solar panels that sold me," Kate explained. "So where did you choose?"

"Starboard aft," Rick replied. "It was that or Port aft."

"I'll end up with Port forward. I don't mind. Hey! Maybe I can use the closets meant for the crew on those bunk beds." Kate began smiling since the smaller guest space had a benefit.

"I hadn't thought about it like that." Rick really hadn't.

"How long before you need Cum, Laurence?" They needed to figure that out before it got ugly.

"Eight days for me," Rick responded, aware of what she was trying to do.

"Sounds like you and Adèle are first. It's up to you two what you want to do. Felix and I are closer to each other in terms of time." Serena didn't mind since she liked how Felix looked better. He was more her type.

"We can talk," Kate replied since she wasn't ready to commit just yet. She had something like five days before she would start to feel the need for a man's Cum just so she could keep living. She didn't kill to get it. She never had. He just never remembered her.

- :|: - :Ɣ: - :|: -

"Good morning. Not eating?" Rick was up and came upon Kate on the main deck, all alone for now.

Kate shook her head. "I usually just have coffee."

"No one told you that breakfast was the most important meal of the day?" Rick asked as he looked for breakfast fixings.

Kate shrugged. "I didn't listen."

"So what did you do before all this, if I may ask and it's not a secret?" Rick queried. Just then he found a some bacon and took a few strips and an egg. Juice could come later.

"I was a homicide detective. I worked hard to get there. Now they want to kill me. Ironic, isn't it. I'm trying to solve homicides and my country wants to kill me." Just for a moment Kate looked frustrated, angry. "And yourself?"

"I was a writer. Perhaps I still am. But never to be published again. You lost your job and I lost who I am." Rick knew he had to do this to survive but that didn't make it right.

"Can't you still write and just have it published under a different name?" Kate asked.

"I'd have to start all over again. Besides, someone will notice my writing and make a connection. Or put my new picture up against my old one and then I'd be found out."

"So who were you? Anyone I might know?" He didn't look familiar but maybe that was the point. She certainly looked different. She was betting the other two did too.

"Richard Castle."

"NO! You're Richard Castle?" Kate was taken aback. She knew what he looked like. At least his headshot anyway. She didn't see it.

"You were a fan?" Rick asked and put his bacon in the skillet.

"My mother was. She loved your books. Even had one signed once. I was just a stupid teenager back then. Doing stupid teenager stuff. Thinking nothing would change." Kate shook her head and sighed. "Boy, was I wrong."

"What happened if you don't mind me asking?" Rick was curious. Always had been, likely always would be no matter what his name was.

"Mom and Dad sacrificed themselves to save me. They might be why the States decided to kill all of us. Someone found out about them and killed them. Decided there had to be more of them and decided to hunt us down.

"I might be why we're all here." Kate wasn't sure but she certainly felt that way.

"Nonsense. Does the name Charlie Mantil mean anything to you? He was an Incubus and to save his brother he got himself caught and killed. We were just kids. I cried for weeks. Didn't understand it. I barely understand it even now.

"He was my very best friend. I was the one that got spotted. I was stupid and my very best friend paid for my stupidity with his life." Rick cracked his egg too hard and got shell pieces everywhere. He cursed and started picking them out.

Slender hands turned him to face her. "Rick – Laurence – we know we're not evil so we live our livesin memory of those we've lost. But I have an idea. I know a real human. She was my very best friend and I left her behind without a word because I'm a Succubus. I knew they would arrest her and kill her just for being my friend. I couldn't allow that.

"You write your book and I'll send it to her," Kate proposed. "She can publish it under her name. She will know nothing."

"It's a generous offer but the problem remains. Someone will recognize my style of writing, arrest her, question her, and ultimately kill her. That's America now. Or it soon will be." Rick shook his head. "I'm sorry, Kate, but we can't. They will kill her or anyone else we once knew and called friend."

Kate pressed her face against his chest. They had already lost so much. If it wasn't for their ability to connect they might all be dead soon. They may yet all be dead if they weren't careful.

"Want some of my bacon?" Rick asked and that got Kate to chuckle. They were talking death and suddenly he was talking bacon.

- :|: - :Ɣ: - :|: -

Three days later

They were each gravitating to the person they liked best. Laurence to Adèle. Felix to Maélie.

Kate willingly took Rick's hand and followed him to his bedroom, letting him remove her clothes slowly as he kissed nearly every piece of exposed skin she had as he went.

He kissed and licked and adored her breasts. Then he worked his way down her body and she spread her legs for him. She knew he was an Incubus and right now they both looked like an Incubus and Succubus. She knew he needed her Cum from her climax.

However, in her life no man had ever eaten her pussy like he was doing. She had given blowjobs and been fucked, but that was all, and she had only ever had just the one orgasm. Tonight was going to be different.

- :|: - :Ɣ: - :|: -

She wasn't tired, he wasn't tired. They had been having sex for neither knew how long. Kate had lost track of the number of orgasms she'd had just in this one encounter.

Right now she was on her hands and knees and he was rubbing his cock's head up and down her slit. "Please stop teasing me and Fuck my Pussy." Kate cried out when suddenly he was deep inside her. She was even pushing back on every in stroke to get him even deeper inside her.

"Yes, I need your Cum. Fuck my pussy. Don't ever stop fucking my pussy." It was the single greatest sex of her life.

Eventually they shifted back to human and just held each other till sleep took them.

Kate opened her eyes and saw him watching her. "Are you watching me sleep? That's kinda creepy, you know."

"You look peaceful when you sleep. You're the most beautiful woman on the planet," Rick told her and watched her smile up at him. "Not to mention damn good in bed."

"Jackass." Kate pushed his head away and rolled over to get away from him. But almost instantly she felt his hands working on her shoulders and down her back till they reached her bare ass. She had long since started moaning from those oh-so-talented hands.

Then fingers started stroking her outer lips till a finger penetrated her. "Are you going to fuck my pussy or what?" He had her all worked up and now she needed him to fuck her as a human this time.

- :|: - :Ɣ: - :|: -

It is six months later

They were in a marina in Barcelona now. It was a much bigger marina and it had benefits their prior marina didn't have. Plus, it was much easier to go into the city to get supplies.

Here in Barcelona, Canadians and Frenchmen were far more welcome than Americans. Over the last four months America had become the most hated country in what used to be the West. Here in Europe they were still believers in Democracy. America no longer was and trade between America and Europe had come to a complete stop.

Each side had tariffs so large that it made purchasing the other's products so expensive that no shipping took place. It didn't really matter any longer. Each side hated the other. America was starting their deportations. The wall between America and Mexico was now more like the Berlin Wall of old. Wall, barb wire, mines, and guard towers. Perhaps more like the area between North and South Korea. No man's land. People weren't arrested trying to get past this wall. They were killed and left to rot in the hot sun.

But none of them were really paying attention to what America was doing. They were in Spain, they had lovers, and they were happy. They had found a place to live and love.

- :|: - :Ɣ: - :|: -

"Hey, babe." Kate as a human in a bikini slid into the hot tub next to her lover whom she loved by now. "This isn't a hot bath, but this is damn nice." Kate slid over next to him and felt his arm go around her.

"I think it's better than a hot bath," Rick submitted. "Where are the others?"

"In the Owner's Cabin making love. You should hear her screaming soon." Kate grinned. Maélie, otherwise known as Serena, was just as vocal as she was when making love.

Kate felt a hand slip between her thighs. "Care to do your own screaming?"

She took his hand out from between her thighs. "Tonight, lover, not until tonight. Right now what I want is to sit in the hot tub, be held by you, and listen to you tell me that you love me."

"I can do that." Rick kissed her. "Because I do love you. Until we found each other I was positive I was doomed to live alone, never have anyone to love. To never have the possibility of a family in the future."

"Uh-uh! Not too fast, lover," Kate admonished. "You have to propose first before I allow your Cum to get me pregnant."

"Then we need to go ring shopping soon. Like tomorrow," Rick suggested.

"Tomorrow?" Kate turned to look at him. "I accept." Kate kissed him. "Now if my parents could just see this." They were never going to know about this day.

"They may not see it but they knew it would come. They gave their lives for this day. This is what they gave you. They know, Kate. Wherever they are now, they know. Trust me, they know." Rick kissed her and kept kissing her.

They had a future. Just so long as America didn't blow up the planet with all the nukes they still controlled.
