Two days had passed since Orion Eclipse found Megatron. After the former Decepticon warlord agreed to help the Autobots to put an end to Doomsayer's threat, his son was able to help him make amends with some of the Autobots for his past villainy with some mixed results. Smokescreen had forgiven Megatron for all the evil things he did in the past as a warlord and he even accepted him as a surrogate father and an adopted brother to Orion Eclipse. Orion was a bit nervous but also excited about having Smokescreen, his Autobot friend, as his new adopted brother.
As for Bumblebee, he admitted that he still feared and hated Megatron for taking away his voice and for hurting his human friend, Rafael Esquivel back on Earth, but he was willing to forgive the former leader of the Decepticons...for now. Knock Out was happy to consider Megatron a friend now and that he wouldn't have to refer to him as his lord and master since Megatron has chosen to be a Neutral now.
On the other hand, Orion Eclipse was happy to have helped his father in making amends with some of his former enemies, especially the bots he tormented most like Bumblebee. Of course, it will only take a long time for the Autobots to learn to forgive the old bot who started the Great War from the beginning and some of the Autobots may not want to forgive Megatron for his war crimes. And why wouldn't they? But back to Orion Eclipse, the young Decepticon-turned-Autobot was having some Energon when he couldn't help but miss living inside of his cave in the mountains at Boise, Idaho back on Earth.
"Hey, Orion. Are you feeling okay?" Bumblebee asked his friend.
"Yeah, I think I'm alright." Orion Eclipse said before he told the yellow Autobot lieutenant, "Um, Bee? There's something I need to tell you and our leader, Ultra Magnus...I'm homesick. I realized that I've been absent from Earth and Boise, Idaho for about a whole month. I miss my human friend, Anthony Carter and I haven't got to see him again since after the Energon Mine rescue mission from last week when we saved him and his family from the New Decepticons and Doomsayer...In all honesty, Bee. I just want to go back to Earth." Orion Eclipse said.
"I know how you feel, Orion Eclipse." Bumblebee replied, "In fact, you're not the only bot who's befriended a human on Earth. Years ago, before I got my voice back and before Optimus Prime made his sacrifice and Ultra Magnus succeeded him as our new leader, we have made human allies like Agent Fowler, June Darby, and her son, Jack Darby, Miko Nakadai. Rafael Esquivel...and human enemies like Silas and his terrorist organization, M. , long before Cybertron was restored, the Great War was over (or so we thought), and we had to say goodbye to our human friends one last time and leave Earth to go back home to Cybertron. It was hard for me to say goodbye to Raf who was a close friend of mine. We Autobots have grown fond of our human friends and Earth had become our second home since before..."
"I know, Bee." Orion Eclipse said. "I think we both know the feeling. But here's my question: since when was the last time you, Arcee, and Bulkhead have contacted your human friends?" he asked.
"Not since 2013." Bumblebee answered. "Right now, the year is 2018. So we haven't seen our human friends since five years after the Great War and after Unicron was defeated and Optimus made his sacrifice to spark a new era of peace on Cybertron," he told Orion Eclipse.
"Well, it's not too late to reconnect with some old friends, right? We could ask Ultra Magnus if we can travel to Earth and perhaps I'll introduce my human friend with yours." Orion Eclipse suggested. Bumblebee chuckled, "Now that's quite a suggestion, Eclipse. Maybe we can invite some of our friends to accompany us on Earth." he said.
"Sounds like a plan, Bee." Orion Eclipse agreed. "However, I do have a bad feeling that...the humans that we've recently rescued and freed from the Energon Mines and Doomsayer and his troops have already informed Earth's government about giant, killer robots kidnapping random humans and that we'd probably be seen as the enemy and not the New Decepticons."
"Do not worry, Orion. We could try to blend in using our vehicle modes." Bumblebee said. "Hopefully, Ultra Magnus would give us his permission to space bridge over to Earth."
Later that day, Bumblebee and Orion Eclipse walked over to ask Ultra Magnus. The Autobot leader looked at the two young mechs and he greeted them. "Good evening, Lieutenant." Ultra Magnus greeted Bumblebee. "Hello, Ultra Magnus. Orion Eclipse was wondering if...we could go to Earth for a visit." The yellow Autobot asked. Ultra Magnus smiled, "Now that you mentioned it, I was going to summon you for a mission. We have just found some Cybertronian life signals somewhere on Earth and I was thinking that you and Orion should travel over to Idaho to investigate. But you'll need backup." Ultra Magnus told Bumblebee and Orion Eclipse. "So, who's joining us on our mission?" Orion Eclipse asked. "I'm glad you asked. Arcee, Bulkhead, Smokescreen, and Wheeljack will accompany you on your mission to Earth." Ultra Magnus replied.
"May I join?" Megatron asked. Every Autobot, plus Ex-Decepticons were a bit surprised to see and hear the former leader of the Decepticons as he entered the room. "Dad?" Orion Eclipse thought.
"You wish to travel to Earth with Orion?" Ultra Magnus asked Megatron. "Yes, Ultra Magnus. I want to help us make sure that these Cybertronains located on Earth aren't hostile because I want no harm to come to my son...and to my surrogate son." Megatron told the Autobot leader.
"Surrogate son?" Bulkhead asked. Smokescreen tapped onto the green Wrecker's shoulder, "He's talking about me." Smokescreen said to Bulkhead. The Wrecker paused before he remembered, "Oh! Yeah...that one time Buckethead has adopted you." Bulkhead recalled. "I heard that," Megatron said.
"Sorry, Megatron." Bulkhead apologized.
Ultra Magnus activated the space bridge and after he permitted Megatron to accompany his son, Orion Eclipse, and his Autobot team on their mission to find any Cybertronians located on Earth, they entered the portal which transported them to Idaho. Once they have arrived there, Orion Eclipse decided to give his father, Megatron, and his new adopted brother, Smokescreen, a tour around his cave in the mountains where he used to live and hide and Bumblebee would start the investigation for Cybertronians with Arcee, Bulkhead, and Wheeljack.
At the snow-covered mountains, also known as the Sawtooth Mountains of Idaho, Orion Eclipse invited Megatron and Smokescreen inside of his cave where it's full of scrap metal, Energon crystals, books, magazines, video games, and a lot of junk from the '60s to the '80s.
"Welcome to my cave." Orion Eclipse said to Megatron and Smokescreen as he invited his father and his new adopted brother inside. "Woah." Smokescreen said in awe. "Is this where you've been living for many stellar cycles?" Megatron asked, almost concerned for his biological son and his mental state. "Yes. I have chosen this mountain to be my home and my hiding place for the last couple of decades." Orion said. "This is where I kept my belongings, my Energon food supply, and my pet rocks."
"Pet rocks?" Smokescreen asked, puzzled. Orion Eclipse introduced his father and surrogate brother to his pet rocks. "Meet my pet rocks: Rockslide, Flintlock, and Stonewall." Megatron chuckled. "Clever names." He said.
Suddenly, Orion Eclipse receives a comlink call from Bumblebee. "Hey, Orion!" Orion Eclipse answered the comlink call, "Yes, Bee? What is it?" He asked. "There's someone who would like to see you. It's your human friend, Anthony. He and his family are with us in the forest." Bumblebee told Orion through the comlink. "Roger that. Smokescreen and my dad and I will meet you there." Orion Eclipse told Bumblebee.
"Okay. Also, Anthony and his family aren't the only humans we've found in the forest. Our old human allies have come along with them." Bumblebee added. "Oh, really? You and the Autobots have human friends, too?" Orion Eclipse asked. "Yes." Bumblebee replied. "I'll let them know you're coming, okay?" He told Orion. Eclipse nodded, "Alright, we'll see you in the forest." He said before ending his call.
"Who was it?" Smokescreen asked. "Bro, I just got a comlink call from Bee. He says he's met some human allies, including my friend, Anthony Carter, and his family with the Autobots." Orion Eclipse told his adopted brother.
Later that day, Orion Eclipse, Smokescreen, and Megatron traveled over to the forest to meet up with Bumblebee and the Autobots only to find them interacting with some of their old human friends like Agent William Fowler, Nurse June Darby, her son Jackson Darby, and his friends, Miko Nakadai and Rafael Esquivel who have traveled all the way from Jasper, Nevada to Boise, Idaho somehow via airplane or ground bridge.
"Orion! You're just in time to meet our human friends, including yours." Wheeljack told Orion Eclipse.
"Wait, could it be? Jack? Miko? Raf?" Smokescreen said, surprised to see the three human children all grown up.
Bulkhead and Wheeljack were so happy to reunite with their human friend and Wrecker, Miko Nakadai while Jack and his mom, June Darby, were happy to reunite with Arcee and Bumblebee had been reunited with his human friend, Rafael Esquivel. When Miko saw Smokescreen, she ran up to greet him along with Jack and Rafael.
Miko gasped, "Smokescreen? It's you! Wha—?!" She then froze when she and the others saw Megatron appear right next to Smokescreen and Orion Eclipse. "No...it can't be!" She said, horrified to see Megatron.
"Hello, children," Megatron said calmly. "My, how you've all grown." He said as he noticed how different Jack, Miko, and Rafael looked now as young adults.
"MEGATRON!" Rafael screamed. "But we thought you were dead!" Jack exclaimed.
"It's okay, Miko, Jack, Rafael. Megatron's with us and he's on our side...For now." Bulkhead told the three human children now all grown up as he assured them not to be afraid of Megatron. "Bee didn't you kill him?!" Rafael asked Bumblebee.
"I did with the Star Saber." Bumblebee replied, "But then when Unicron the Chaos Bringer brought Megatron back to life while also possessing his body to try to bring doom to Cybertron, Optimus Prime fought the possessed Megatron until he freed him from the Chaos Bringer's control and we had trapped Unicron and his Anti-Spark within the reliquary of the Primes before Megatron had a change of spark when he disbanded the Decepticons and went into self-exile for over five years. It's kind of a long story." The yellow Autobot lieutenant explained.
"Now wait just a minute! How do we know that Megatron can be trusted?! And who the heck is that bot right next to him, by the way?" Agent Fowler asked.
"My name is Orion Eclipse. I'm looking for my friend, Anthony Carter." Orion Eclipse told Agent Fowler.
"Oh, you mean Jonathan's stepson?" Agent Fowler asked. "Well, he's here with us with his mom and stepdad. Would you like to meet them?" He asked Orion.
"Yes, sir." Orion Eclipse replied as he nodded. "Orion, this is Agent William Fowler. Our old friend." Smokescreen introduced. "Pleased to meet you," Orion said to William Fowler. "Jack, Miko, Raf! Are you alright? What seemed to be the..." June Darby gasped at the sight of Megatron and he groaned in irritation as he knew that the Autobots' old human allies would not be happy to see him as well. "I know, I shouldn't be here regarding my past villainy," Megatron said.
"Is there any logical explanation that Megatron is alive and not being hostile right now?" Jack hastily asked the two Autobots, Arcee and Bumblebee. "Let's just say that Megatron's been through a lot since Unicron raised him from the dead, possessed his body, and then went through a painful exorcism by Optimus Prime himself, which gave Megatron a little change of spark," Arcee told Jack.
"Okaaay. So, who's the new guy?" Miko asked about Orion Eclipse. "This is our latest recruit, Orion Eclipse. He's a warrior chosen by Optimus Prime himself to help us protect the universe by preventing the 'Cons from starting a second Great War." Smokescreen explained.
"I'm also an Ex-Decepticon just like Knock Out," Orion added. "It's a pleasure to meet you. It's good to know that I'm not the only Cybertronian who's made friends with any human being on Earth." He said to Jack, Miko, and Rafael.
A few moments later, Agent Fowler brought The Carter Family over to meet Orion Eclipse and the rest of the Autobots, their human friends as well as Megatron and his long-lost son. Orion was very happy to see Anthony once again after being separated for a while since the last time they were reunited at the Energon Mines.
"Orion!" Anthony exclaimed. "Anthony! Oh, it's so good to see you again, buddy." Orion Eclipse said to his human friend as he gave him a high five.
"Where have you been? I haven't seen you since last time when you and the Autobots came to rescue us and our neighbors from the Decepticons at the Energon Mines." Anthony said to Orion.
"I've been traveling across space to find someone who can help us defeat that monster, Doomsayer and his cronies." Orion Eclipse said to his friend.
"And who is this someone? I thought Optimus said that you're the only one who can help save both Cybertron and Earth from the Decepticons and their new leader." The teenage boy asked.
Orion Eclipse then introduces his father Megatron to Anthony Carter and his mother and stepfather (who already know about him). "Anthony? I'd like you to meet my dad: Megatron."
"Wait...your dad is Megatron?!" Anthony exclaimed.
"You know of him?" Orion Eclipse asked. "Well, sort of. My mom and stepdad told me everything about how they've known about Autobots, Decepticons, Cybertron, Unicron, Optimus Prime, Megatron, and how my stepdad apparently used to work with Agent Fowler, General Bryce who were allies with these giant alien robots in Jasper, Nevada before he left his job to become a machinist here in Idaho." Anthony told his robot friend." Anthony Carter said to his friend.
"Wow, really?" Orion Eclipse asked. Anthony nodded before Bumblebee stepped him and told Orion, "Well, it feels so good to be back on Earth, where not only do we get to reunite with our old human friends but we get to meet some new and familiar faces as well," He said.
"We've got no time to celebrate with our reunions with old friends." Ratchet said. "We're only here because Ultra Magnus sent us on a mission to locate a Cybertronian stress signal. We're not sure who it is yet, but it better not be one of Doomsayer's traps again." He reminded.
Meanwhile, at a forest near the waterfall, a mysterious but beautiful fembot was running for dear life from two evil Decepticons who were chasing after her. The fembot ran through the pine trees until she went into hiding at the falls once she was a few miles away from the two 'Cons that were chasing after her. The two Decepticons who were chasing after the helpless fembot who might actually be an Autobot were Barricade and Overload.
"Where did she go!?" Overload asked Barricade. "How would I know? We've been hunting down Optimus' sparkmate and sparkling for far too long in the last few stellar cycles!" Barricade complained, "If Lord Megatron had actually been able to destroy the Last Prime's glitch and his offspring whenever he had the fragging chance, then maybe he wouldn't of hired us both and most of our Decepticon assassins to go on this Wild shrikebat chase!" He clenches his fists and breaks a tree into splinters in rage.
"I think she went the other way." Overload said as he looked at the river. "You think?! You have to be sure if she went somewhere else, you truck loaded brute of stupidity." Barricade said as he insults Overload. "Why I ought of..." The Decepticon brute was about to fight Barricade when they suddenly heard rustling in the bushes. They shoot laser fire at the thickets and a wild forest animal jumped out of it in fright.
"Dammit Overload! That's it!" Barricade snapped. "You search to forest while I search the hills! We had better get this done and over with once and for all or else Megatron will have both our heads!"
"Whatever you say." Overload scoffed at Barricade before they transformed into their vehicle modes and drive off in separate ways to find the fleeing fembot in the forest at Idaho. Inside the caves of the Waterfall, a young and beautiful fembot was frightened and alone while panting, fearing for her life, and trying her best to hide in the dark where no one could see her. She had bright blue eyes and her color scheme was magenta, purple, white, lavender, and black. She bore a striking resemblance to that of the late Optimus Prime and his conjunx-endura, Elita-One. It was none other than Orion Eclipse's childhood friend, Altair Comet.
Altair Comet was whimpering softly in the darkness of the cave behind the waterfall as she thought to herself, "I'm lost. Oh, Primus! Father, wherever you are, if you're alive or not, please come for me and my mom. We miss you and we need your help!" She cried softly as she tears up before lying down on the stone floor.
