Doomsayer and his New Decepticons struck a deal with Colonel Adam Bowen and M.E.C.H that they can help them exterminate the Cybertronians from Earth if they agree to help them destroy Megatron as well as Orion Eclipse and the Autobots by creating a human-made ninja femme bot who will be named Nightbird.
Meanwhile, Ratchet finally found a way to change Megatron back to a Cybertronian after being turned into a human when Astrocharge threw a chemical bomb at the ex-warlord when the New Decepticons attacked a city in Boise, Idaho, and Orion Eclipse and the Autobots had to fight them to save the humans. At the Autobots' new hidden base in Jasper, Ratchet calls Megatron and tells him to come over so that he can turn back into a Cybertronian. By the time June Darby drove the human Megatron over to the Autobot's new hidden base in Jasper, Ratchet had prepared the machine with a chemical formula that would turn Megatron back into a Cybertronian.
"Ratchet," Megatron spoke to the Autobot medic. "Megatron. You came just in time for me to use this new machine to turn you back into a Cybertronian." Ratchet said to the humanized Megatron.
"You mean...that I can be turned back into the way I was before I got turned into a human?" Megatron asked.
Ratchet nodded, "Yes. Hello June." he greeted the nurse next to Megatron. "Hello, Ratchet. So, I assume that you made a machine that can transform Megatron back into his original form?" June asked. "Yes. Although it took some time for me to finish it. Knock Out and I made a chemical formula that might turn Megatron back into a Cybertronian." Ratchet explained. "Are you ready?" he asked Megatron.
"I'm more than ready. You have no idea how long I've waited to become a Cybertronian again." Megatron told Ratchet.
"Alright. Just lay on the operating table while I prepare the machine before adding the chemical formula. I just pray to Primus that this transformation experiment will work." Ratchet replied.
Megatron stripped to his underwear as he lay on the operating table despite it being cold. Ratchet typed onto his computer for it to move into a glass cylinder for the transformation experiment. June Darby watched as Ratchet added a blue chemical formula to the machine before he activated it. Megatron was beginning to worry that the experimentation would fail and that he would be stuck in his human body forever and that he might die or get sick if the machine were unable to work.
But after the glass cylinder was filled with blue gas, the machine loaded for 30 minutes and Ratchet heard Megatron scream in pain and that made June worry for him. "Megatron! Are you okay?!" Ratchet asked. "AAAAGH! DON'T WORRY! I THINK IT'S WORKING!" Megatron told the medic while shouting in pain. Ratchet was about to turn off the machine, but then he looked over and saw Megatron changing back into his Cybertronian form. After 20 minutes, the transformation process was completed.
Megatron has successfully and miraculously transformed back into his Cybertronian form after being stuck in a human body for quite some time. When Ratchet opened the glass door, Megatron stepped out of the machine as a blue gas gushed out of it. "Megatron? Are you okay?" June asked. Megatron opened his red optics before he asked, "Did...did it work? Am I back to my original form again?" Ratchet gave Megatron a mirror to show his reflection and Megatron could see that he was no longer human. "By the Allspark! I'm finally back to my original form!" Megatron exclaimed. "Thank Primus! The machine worked," said Ratchet.
At the Autobot base in Retoris...
Ultra Magnus went to the vault where the Reliquary of the Allspark containing Unicron and his Anti-Spark is. The Autobot Leader sighed deeply when he heard a female voice, "Dad?" Ultra Magnus turns around and he sees his daughter, Strongarm, a female Protectobot rookie who came to check in with her father. "Strongarm? What are you doing here?" Ultra Magnus asked. "I came by to see you, dad," Strongarm said. "Is something wrong?" she asked.
Ultra Magnus looks at the Reliquary of the Allspark and then he looks back at his daughter as he makes a deep sigh, "It's just...Doomsayer is after the Allspark Reliquary. He doesn't know where it is yet. It contains Unicron and his Anti-Spark and I'm worried that he'll find out where it is." The Autobot Leader told his daughter. "I was told by Ironhide that The Sword of Primus didn't find Orion Eclipse worthy in wielding it. Now I'm starting to wonder if that sword was only meant for a Prime but Optimus was the last Prime until he sacrificed himself to reignite the Well of Allsparks. I'm not sure if I could be his equal and I'm not sure if I'm fit to be the leader of the Autobots in his stead."
"Dad. You're not Optimus Prime and you don't have to be like him. Just because you looked similar to him, doesn't mean that you're like him." Strongarm said. "I know, Strongarm. I still don't understand why The Sword of Primus would reject Orion Eclipse despite him being chosen by the spirit of Optimus Prime to help us put a stop to our enemies' quest for revenge. Maybe that sword was meant for someone else." Ultra Magnus said.
"You could be right, dad...you could be right," Strongarm replied.
At the training room...
Altair Comet was being taught how to fight by her female mentor, Chromia while Orion Eclipse watched his childhood sweetheart learning basic combat skills while sitting with his mentor, Ironhide. "Kinda gives you déjà vu, doesn't it?" The Autobot veteran said to his apprentice. "Pardon?" Orion Eclipse asked.
"Remember when you were training to become an Autobot?" Ironhide said. "Yeah. It seems like yesterday when back on Earth before I was brought to Cybertron, my friend Anthony and I found The Sword of Primus and how we met you, Ratchet, and Hot Rod who mistook me as a Decepticon scout holding a human hostage and how I was going to "steal" an ancient relic made by one of the Thirteen Original Primes before the spirits of said Thirteen Original Primes and even the spirit of Optimus Prime appeared." Orion Eclipse recalled. "And I still remember how I fainted after the spirit of Optimus Prime was disappointed in how Hot Rod and Ratchet were beating the scrap out of me when I did nothing wrong since I was but a Decepticon amnesiac who's been stranded and alone on Earth for millions of years. I still remember the day Optimus Prime told you guys that I was the Autobot's last hope at defeating the Decepticons when they would rise again with Doomsayer as their new leader. But still, I don't understand why The Sword of Primus would reject me. I guess this means that I'm not The Chosen One as everyone and Optimus Prime, including myself, have thought. I just wished that Optimus Prime was here since he's the hero." Orion said in disappointment.
"You don't have to carry a great weapon to become a great warrior. In fact, you're already a great warrior. I gave you the Cybernetic Energy Shield for a reason when you changed from a Decepticon to an Autobot. You forgave Hot Rod for attacking you when you did nothing wrong. You stopped Ratchet and Knock Out from killing each other when you wanted to know the truth that you were Megatron's son. Speaking of Megatron, Ratchet told me that he used a machine to transform your father back from a human to a Cybertronian." Ironhide told Orion Eclipse.
Orion's blue optics widened, "Wait, he did?!" he asked in a surprised tone. "Mmm-hmm," Ironhide said as he nodded. "Oh. Well, that's good news. Ironhide? Knock Out told me how my mother died during an Autobot attack, but I still need to know how she got kidnapped when I was a child. Although I'm glad that my dad is turned back to a Cybertronian after being turned human by one of Doomsayer's minions. I'm also glad that he's not going to forbid me from dating the love of my life because she's Optimus Prime and Elita-One's daughter and because he doesn't want to lose me again and I feel like Altair Comet is what's left of Optimus Prime just like how I am what's left of my mother according to my father. Also, we still don't know where Elita-One is and we're not sure if she's alive or not." Orion explained.
"We'll find Altair Comet's mother soon, Orion. We just need to..." Ironhide was about to continue speaking to his apprentice when he received a call from Smokescreen. "Ironhide? We've got a situation." the young Autobot said. "What's the situation, Smokescreen?" Ironhide answered. "We got another call and it's from...Doomsayer." Smokescreen replied. Ironhide gasped, "Are you quite sure?" the red Autobot veteran asked. "Yes! Doomsayer wants to speak with Orion and Megatron. He says he wants them to meet him near the volcano mountain in Iceland." Smokescreen reported.
At the Autobots' Main Computer...
Orion Eclipse followed his mentor, Ironhide over to the Autobots' main computer room where they joined the group of their fellow Autobots, Jazz, Arcee, Bulkhead, Bumblebee, Wheeljack, Jetfire, Prowl, and their ex-Decepticon medic, Knock Out who are with their leader, Ultra Magnus. Their computer system has been hacked again and once again, they are about to receive another video message from their enemy, Doomsayer, just like last time when he lied about his hideout being located in the Badlands.
"Ultra Magnus, what is it?" Orion asked the Autobot leader. "It's Doomsayer again. We're about to receive another video message from him." Ultra Magnus said.
"Again? Doesn't this Doomsayer guy know when to quit?" Bulkhead complained.
"He still demanding we give him Unicron or else?" Wheeljack guessed in annoyance. "Why am I not surprised?" said Arcee.
Once the video message from Doomsayer began on the Autobot's big computer screen, the Autobots watched as the evil leader of the New Decepticons began speaking to them. "We meet again, Autobots!" Doomsayer said to Ultra Magnus and his Autobots. "Doomsayer. What do you want this time?!" Ultra Magnus asked.
"You already know what my army and I want. We still want you to surrender the Allspark Reliquary containing our lord and master, Unicron. But for now, I have a bone to pick with Orion Eclipse and his father, Megatron." Doomsayer explained.
Orion frowned at Doomsayer and he got out of the group of Autobots to confront his archenemy despite them telling the young bot not to. "Orion, don't!" Bumblebee told Orion, but he didn't listen to the Autobot lieutenant. "You!" Orion said aggressively to Doomsayer.
"Ahh, Orion Eclipse. You're such a sight for sore optics. I've heard that you've found your father. Must've been a touching family reunion between the two of you." Doomsayer told Orion Eclipse with false enthusiasm.
"What is it you want from me and my dad?!" Orion asked angrily. "Nothing much. Except, I want you and your father to meet me at the volcano in Iceland on Earth. If you don't show up and face me so that we can have our epic showdown, then I would hate to see your Autobot friends lose their human friend, Agent Fowler." Doomsayer replied before he showed the Autobots a picture of Agent Fowler being hand-cuffed and held captive at M.E.C.H's military base.
The Autobots gasped in horror to see one of their human friends being captured by one of their human enemies. "Where have you taken him!?" Ultra Magnus asked Doomsayer. "You should ask Colonel Adam Bowen and M.E.C.H. After all, they're the ones who arrested your friend for interrogation on where to hunt you down. My army and I had just struck a deal with your human enemies that we will leave the Earth and its humans alone if M.E.C.H themselves agree to help us on destroying you Autobots." Doomsayer explained.
"You're allied with M.E.C.H now?!" Bumblebee exclaimed. "Indeed, lieutenant Bumblebee. However, the New Decepticons' alliance with those Anti-Transformer humans is only temporary since we won't keep our promise to leave the Earth and its humans alone because we still intend on destroying that mudball of a planet. So here's the deal, Autobots. If you wish to rescue your dear friend, Agent Fowler from M.E.C.H at their new military base, then I will show Autobots where to find and rescue him if you allow Orion Eclipse and his father, Megatron, must come over and face me near the volcano in Iceland." Doomsayer proposed.
"Why in Solus' Prime's name would we do that?!" Jetfire exclaimed. "You want to rescue your human friend, don't you? Send Orion Eclipse and his father to fight me near the volcano in Iceland, otherwise, my army and I will order Adam Bowen and M.E.C.H to execute your friend." Doomsayer threatened. "Wait!...I'll come." Orion Eclipse spoke up to Doomsayer. "Bring your father with you, Orion. Don't keep me waiting for our final battle." Doomsayer told Orion before ending the video call.
LATER THAT DAY...
Megatron was relieved that he was no longer in his human form thanks to Ratchet. He even thanked Jack's mother for letting him stay the night at her house while learning how to be human. But then, they got a call from Ultra Magnus and he informed them that Doomsayer wants to have a final battle with Megatron and his son Orion Eclipse near the volcano in Iceland, or else Doomsayer will order Colonel Adam Bowen and M.E.C.H to have Agent Fowler executed to get back at the Autobots. Megatron knew that Doomsayer would want to have a final battle with him and his son, but Megatron didn't want to lose his son again. He would have to fight the leader of the New Decepticons alone.
"I should go," Megatron told Ratchet. "Now?" Ratchet asked. "But what about Orion Eclipse? Doomsayer requests that you come and fight him and your son," he said.
"I've lost my son before and I won't lose him again. I must fight Doomsayer alone. This battle will only be between him and me." Megatron replied. "I understand, Megatron. Ultra Magnus and the others will be going to rescue Agent Fowler at M.E.C.H's military base. I will lock onto Doomsayer's coordinates and I will open up the ground bridge for you to travel to Iceland and face him." Ratchet said.
Ratchet takes Megatron to the ground bridge inside the Autobot's new Earth base before he opens up the portal. But before the ex-warlord would enter the portal, he looks at Ratchet and tells him, "Thank you for your help, Ratchet." Megatron said. Ratchet nodded, "Be careful." he told Megatron. "I will," Megatron promised.
"Let us know if you ever need any backup to help you fight Doomsayer." Ratchet told Megatron.
Megatron entered the ground bridge portal and traveled over to the volcano in Iceland. Meanwhile, Ultra Magnus and the Autobots will take the space bridge over to M.E.C.H's military base where they will no doubt be fighting against the evil humans who are holding Agent Fowler in their custody. As for Orion Eclipse, he found out that his father traveled over to the volcano in Iceland to face Doomsayer alone because Megatron didn't want to lose his son again and would rather risk his own life to destroy Doomsayer. But Orion didn't want his father to get killed by the leader of the New Decepticons, so he opened up the space bridge to travel over to the volcano in Iceland to fight Doomsayer by his father's side.
AT THE VOLCANO...
Doomsayer waited near the volcano in Iceland until he heard Megatron's voice as he shouted, "DOOMSAYER!" The lord of the New Decepticons turned around and saw a Cybertronian fighter jet flew over until it landed and it transformed into Megatron in his robot mode. Doomsayer was delighted to see his former master again after being gone for so long. "Well, what do you know? The prodigal son returns. Too bad he's no longer in charge of the Decepticons and he most certainly did some alterations to his appearance." Doomsayer said as he looked at Megatron.
"Doomsayer, I've come to put an end to your schemes, to prevent you from freeing Unicron, and to make you pay for your crimes!" Megatron said as he confronted Doomsayer. "Hahahahaha! And how do you plan to do that...old one?" Doomsayer said mockingly. "I have brought backup. The Autobots are on their way now. But this fight is between you and me!" Megatron told his enemy.
"Oh, so you're here to challenge me, are you? Tell me, how's your beloved son, Orion Eclipse? Hope you won't mind if I pay him a visit?" Doomsayer asked. "Leave him alone! It's me you want!" Megatron yelled.
"Such bravery, such passion, such anger! If it's a fight you want, Megatron. Then let's go!" Doomsayer said. A battle between him and Megatron begins as they charged at each other before punching each other's helms. Doomsayer scratched Megatron in the chest with his claws but luckily, the ex-warlord was tough due to his durability. Doomsayer draws out an Energon mace and Megatron recognizes it as his own. "Is...is that my...?"
"Your Energon mace? Did you think that the Autobots stole your weapon and destroyed it? No, fool. I'm the one who stole it behind your back and I kept it ever since!" Doomsayer said before he starts fighting Megatron with the Energon mace while Megatron fights his opponent with his long sword from his arm and tries shooting Doomsayer with his fusion cannon.
After fighting for an hour, Megatron wins the fight with Doomsayer. Megatron draws out his blade from his arm and prepares to kill Doomsayer. "It's over, Doomsayer!" Megatron said to his foe. "Yes...for YOU!" Doomsayer replied before he zaps Megatron with his Dark Energon electricity, harming him. "AAAGH! What...are you...doing to me!?" Megatron yelled in pain. "HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Megatron, you were a FOOL to think that you can wield the power of Dark Energon! Unicron has granted me the incredible ability to control anyone who's been infused with Dark Energon. After all, you belong to Unicron and you belong to me now!" Doomsayer told his former master.
"AAAAGH! I...belong...to NOBODY!" Megatron shouted while still being electrified by Doomsayer. "Well, that's too bad, big boy. I should thank you for leaving the Decepticons to me. But it'd be more fun to kill you...and then reanimate you into a mindless Terrorcon so that you'll be my pet!" Doomsayer said.
Megatron struggles to break free from the purple electricity affecting him. "Let...me...GO!" he yelled. Doomsayer made a malevolent grin before saying, "Never. Hahahahaha! Never! HAHAHAHAHAHA!" he laughed maniacally. But just when it seems like Megatron would be destroyed by his enemy, his son Orion Eclipse came just in time to help his father. "Leave him alone!" Orion yelled. Doomsayer turned to look at the young bot when he heard his voice before Orion striked the evil mech in the face. Doomsayer spits out Dark Energon before he glared at his archenemy. "YOU!" Doomsayer said. "No one beats up my dad!" Orion told Doomsayer. Megatron groaned as bits of Dark Energon electricity starts to fade from his body before he told his son to flee. "Orion, get out of here!" he said. But Orion Eclipse refused to leave his father behind to fight Doomsayer alone. "No! I won't let him hurt you!" Orion said.
"You should listen to your father, Orion. After all...I can still sense a bit of Dark Energon within you." Doomsayer told the young Autobot. "I DON'T have Dark Energon in me anymore!" Orion yelled at Doomsayer. The evil New Decepticon warlord chuckled, "That's where you're wrong, boy!" Doomsayer said before he zaps Orion Eclipse with his Dark Energon powers. "AAAAAAGH!" Orion shouted in pain before falling onto his knees and pants after being hit by purple lightning. "SON!" Megatron shouted as he feared for his son's life. "Hahahahaha...HAHAHAHAHAHA!" Doomsayer laughed maniacally as he resumes to zap Orion Eclipse with his Dark Energon powers. "LET GO OF MY SON!" Megatron yelled as he tried to attack Doomsayer only for him to block his attacks before zapping him with Dark Energon electricity. "Father...Help me!" Orion pleaded. "Oh, how I've yearned to hear you beg! You and your son would make FINE Terrorcons!" Doomsayer said. Doomsayer continues to laugh maniacally as he uses Dark Energon on Orion Eclipse before Megatron starts to resist the evil energy and stands up. "RAAAAAAAGH!" Megatron shouted as he resists the Dark Energon before attacking Doomsayer. "How can you resist the Dark Energon?! You can never-AAGH!" Doomsayer gets punched by Megatron.
"This ends NOW!" Megatron yelled as he punches Doomsayer right in the tank. Megatron and Orion Eclipse fought against Doomsayer together until they defeated their opponent after an hour of fighting near the volcano in Iceland. Doomsayer groans in pain and spits out more Dark Energon before he wheezes while laughing hard. Megatron stomps on Doomsayer's chest before he continued to speak, "How funny is it...That even if you kill me...you'll never know what REALLY happened to your beloved Firestar." the evil bot said. Megatron stops with a confused look on his face as he stares at his foe. "What?" Megatron said before he growled as he glared at Doomsayer. "What do you know that I don't know?!" he said as he demanded to know what his foe was saying. "Did you really think that your conjunx-endura was kidnapped by one of the Autobots like her ex-lover, Inferno? Well, haven't you heard that Inferno's spark had been extinguished by the Insecticons?! Of course not. Have you ever wondered how Firestar actually died?!... It was me." Doomsayer told Megatron, much to his and his son's shock. "What?!" Megatron exclaimed. "You heard it right. It was I who took away your sparkmate!" Doomsayer replied. Megatron grabs Doomsayer by the throat, "What. Did. You DO to her!?" he said.
"I kidnapped Firestar when your son was only a child fast asleep in his chamber. Then I took her far away from the Nemesis before I brought her to a place...where I extinguished her spark myself!" Doomsayer explained. Orion Eclipse gets up and he's shocked by what the evil New Decepticon leader said. "You killed my mother?!" Orion yelled. "Yes, Orion. I killed your mother to make you and your father suffer for my banishment from Cybertron!" Doomsayer replied before laughing, "Hahahaha...HahahaHAHAHAHAHA!" Megatron punches Doomsayer in the face. "MURDERER!" the ex-warlord yelled in rage. Megatron slams Doomsayer hard and then stabs him through the chest. "Doomsayer! You killed my mother! How could you!?" Orion Eclipse said. "Love is a weakness. It binds you 'til it breaks you!" Doomsayer groaned as he held onto his wounded chest. "Firestar didn't deserve to die! You took her away from us! Now you will pay for the pain you have caused us!" Megatron said to Doomsayer. Doomsayer continues to groan and cough in pain before the New Decepticons arrive to protect him from Megatron and Orion Eclipse.
Orion Eclipse and his father, Megatron were surrounded by the New Decepticons and Doomsayer made an evil grin as he could see that father and son were outnumbered. But just as the members of the Inner Circle, Scourge, Starscream, Crossfire, Astrocharge, Motorstrike, Skywarp, and Reflector aimed their weapons at Orion and Megatron, a space bridge portal opens and the Autobots came just in time to rescue Megatron and his son. Arcee, Chromia, Ironhide, Bulkhead, Bumblebee, Smokescreen, and Hot Rod appeared out of the portal and aimed their weapons at the New Decepticons who were surrounding Orion and Megatron while helping their leader, Doomsayer. "Autobots! They're here!?" Skywarp exclaimed. "NEW DECEPTICONS! ATTACK!" Doomsayer ordered his armada. The Autobots battle against the New Decepticons near the volcano for half an hour until Doomsayer and his minions retreated as they took a space bridge back to their warship, the Devastator. Orion Eclipse ran after his mother's killer in rage and so did his father, Megatron as they wanted to destroy Doomsayer for being responsible for Firestar's death. But as the portal closed, Orion Eclipse yelled in rage, "DOOMSAYER!" The young mech falls onto his knees and Bumblebee is concerned for his friend. "He got away," Megatron said. "Orion, what happened?" Smokescreen asked Orion Eclipse. "Doomsayer. He...he killed my mom." Orion told his adopted brother. "Doomsayer was the bot responsible for my mother's death back on Cybertron!" He cried. Smokescreen and the others were shocked by the news. Both Smokescreen and Bumblebee felt sympathy for Orion Eclipse as he began to cry over the fact that it was Doomsayer who had destroyed his mother, Firestar.
A few hours later after battling Doomsayer with his father, Orion Eclipse was getting himself ready to go on an Autobot mission to save Agent Fowler, defeat Colonel Adam Bowen and M.E.C.H, and then find a way to convince the US President, Gabriel J. Henderson as well as the humans that not all Cybertronians are evil like Doomsayer and his New Decepticon army. But before he could go to where the space bridge portal is, he met a young mechling who was 10 years old and his color scheme was golden yellow and crimson red. Orion could see that the sparkling was holding some sort of blue tablet and a pen like he was asking for an autograph signature. So, he politely smiled at the young bot.
"Excuse me, are you Orion Eclipse?" asked the sparkling. "Yes, that's me. What's your name, kid?" Orion asked. "My name is Hot Shot. I heard great stories about you and how you once saved the Autobots and the humans at the mines by deactivating a bomb before it would explode. You even saved the lives of Hot Rod and Bumblebee when you were training to become an Autobot like us. My dad told me that you're the hero chosen by Optimus Prime himself to help us defeat Doomsayer and the New Decepticons to help prevent a Second Great War and save the galaxy. He wants me to tell you 'thanks for helping us and for being our only chance at helping us defeat the enemy. Can I get your autograph please?"
"Why sure. Allow me to give you my signature," said Orion. He writes his name on the blue tablet with a pen and he gives it to the young Hot Shot who is happy that he got Orion Eclipse's autograph. The young Autobot sparkling smiled at Orion Eclipse and he smiled back at him. "Cool! Thank you, Orion Eclipse." said Hot Shot. "No problem, kid," Orion replied. "Someday, when I'm older, I'm gonna be an Autobot warrior, just like you." said the young Hot Shot. Orion Eclipse nodded before he told the sparkling, "You don't have to be like me or anyone else when you're older. You can just be an Autobot warrior or anything else your own way. You get to decide on who or what you wanna choose to be and that's a fact."
"Oh. Okay, Orion. Thank you. Goodbye!" said Hot Shot. "Goodbye, Hot Shot." Orion said as he waved goodbye at the young sparkling.
At M.E.C.H's military base, Ultra Magnus and his Autobot forces were finally able to defeat M.E.C.H and rescue their friend, Agent Fowler. Colonel Adam Bowen takes his van and retreats from the burning military base with documents and blueprints of Project Nightbird and when he and his soldiers meet up with Doomsayer and his followers in a desert, Adam gets out of his van before he runs up to the leader of the New Decepticons. "Ah, Colonel Bowen. What an unexpected surprise to see you out and about! Did you finish Project Nightbird as we asked?" Doomsayer asked Adam. "We did what you told us to do, but then we got attacked by those damn Autobots!" Adam explained. "You said that you and your kind would leave our planet if we'd help you get rid of your enemies by creating a man-made Cybertronian!" He said. "I did. But guess what, Colonel Bowen?
