Thunder above, fire and steel, a large machine fell, crashing outside of a large building. The heap of burning metal riddled with holes and cuts from the YoRHa squad of flight units that assaulted it. Once the machine was downed two of the flight units broke off and flew down so their pilots could examine the machine to be sure of its fate. Once the vehicles landed their pilots leapt out of their flyers. Units 5B and 8B moved towards the large machine to meet up with 12S, a scanner unit that had been placed in the area to discover anything pertaining to the machines present in the area.
The B models appear almost identical to each other with their pale skin, white hair, and clothing however their weapon choices seem to differ. 5B is welding a black halberd while her comrade is welding a long black sword. The two walked up to meet with one of the few male androids who is currently examining the fallen machine.
"Anything to report 12S? Asked 5B looking at the scout model hoping that he will know something useful about their foes in the area. But just before he could answer, missiles suddenly started to rain from above, destroying the parked flight units and forcing the androids to flee into the large building near them to hopefully find some cover.
The group charged the large double set doors leading into the library however the machines must be tracking them since parts of the ceiling are being blown apart. But then suddenly enemy fire stopped giving them a break and a chance to look around.
"Halt intruders, stay where you are." came a feminine voice just behind the three YoRHa androids. The three quickly look behind them to find a female figure where a red cloak wielding a spear pointed right at them. The figure must have come from the corridor to the groups right and snuck behind them as they escaped the bombardment.
5B and 8B quickly readied their armaments and pods while 12S spoke to the cloaked Android "Were from YoRHa clean out the machines in the area." He said believing that would be more than sufficient to mark them as allies. However, there spear welding host did not waver.
"The library is closed until the librarian is awakened, please vacate the premises and if you wish to speak to the librarian place leave a message at ...ERROR DATA NOT FOUND." Demand the cloaked woman as she lowered her spear. 12S was confused by the android response and wondered what this android is talking about. However, the B models were not lowering their arms and were ready for a fight.
12S was curious about this library as she calls it and why she wants them to leave. Then there is this librarian as she calls it that just piqued his curiosity. With that in mind, 12S begins to hack into the cloaked android system to see what he can access since it was unlikely she was going to reveal anything. However, android reacted by readying her spear and charged but was stopped when 5B and 8B hacked her arms off forcing her to drop the spear, 8B then stabs her in the back running her though. All this happened before the outdated model could react and yell out for reinforcements but would fail anyone since the tip of a halberd is jammed in her throat.
12S still looking at the electric computer mounted on his left arm grinned. "I have access to their systems, the security was semple and I... You know we could have restrained her right?" He asked them as he looked at the security android lying on the floor.
8B looked at him "She was aggressive and was attempting to harm you so we acted accordingly. Now, what information have you acquired?" Was her explanation then moved on the matter at hand? So he looked back at his computer while he accessed their main system.
"Alright let's see..." He was then interrupted by his pod.
"A library is a public facility humans used to store books and other information." Finished his pod.
"Alright but let's see what I can find in there system...Alright it looks like this place is six stories tall and five deep...The bottom floor is extremely large and holds a vault...I'm trying to access some of their most secure files...There appears to be a container labeled The Tomb, accessing now...This appears to have sent me into another system...IT CAN'T BE! " 12S was going through every step of his journey with his two companions much to their annoyance but then he yelled out and as he did so several footsteps could be heard down the corridor.
"What is it 12S?" Asked 8B as got into a combat stance as more red-cloaked androids rounded the corner armed with a variety of weapons and seemed ready for a fight. Then there was the roar of an alarm flaring to life.
"Alert LSS compromised lockdown initiated, security detail to section 5C. Came an automated male voice. 12S tried to override it but the system is now on complete lockdown and it would take him too long to override it.
The three of them got into a combat stance as seven Android's started pouring out of corridors all around them with most of them either wedding swords or heavy-caliber pistols and a few spears in the mix. The halls of the library quickly became a war zone as gunfire from both the attacking androids and pod riddled the walls with holes while shredding some of the ancient androids. It quickly became obvious that the androids guarding the library were meant for security and are the level of combat YoRHa types are built for.
The fight did not last long as 5B and 8B proved too much for the library's security team while 12S acted as support and proved aid when needed. Once the fight was over and the library upper force lay dead they waited a moment to see if any latecomers would show up but none came. "We need to report this to commanded once we find a safe location." Said 8B looking at the other two.
12S waved his hands. "No, we need to contact command now." Stated 12S with excitement filling his eyes.
5B gave him a look of confusion. "Those are not our orders; we need to rendezvous with the others, then report to command." Explained 5B wondering what was so important it could overrule a direct command for the bunker.
A holographic image conjured from 12S lit up the area, showing blueprints and 3D designs of the vault underneath the library. Then the image of the live feed from back a few minutes ago displayed a human figure with active vital signs. "There is a living Human below our very feet, I feel this take priority and we should contact command now." He explained relishing the shock expression on the faces of the expressionless battle models.
8B took a step back "A human here, alive this can't be." She said not believing what she's reading but it appears to be solid and accurate.
5B "We must contact command now, Pod 210 connect me to 73O and 12S find us away down there." 12S gave a nod and ran off welding his own sword determined to succeed in his new mission.
Meanwhile, Pod 210 connected to the bunker. "5B to operator 73 we have vital information to report," Stated 5B looking at the operator as she appeared on screen.
"Affirmative I am ready to hear your report, please state the information you have gathered."Replied the operator oblivious to the information she is about to receive.
"We can confirm a 98.6 percent chance that we have found a live human trapped in some form of stasis just below the structure we are currently in. We need the commander's confirmation if we should make this priority over our current mission?" She asked knowing full well it does, in fact, any android would make rescuing a human their priority no matter the cost. The operator was monetarily stunned by this new information as she did a self diagnostic to be sure her hearing had not malfunctioned.
"Uh...5B Just to make sure my audio systems haven't shorted did you just say you found a living human?" Asked the operator which drew the attention of the other operators in the room.
"That is correct operator 73 we have found a live human we just need commands permission to liberate him from this library as the humans call it." confirmed 5B as she forwarded the information to commander white.
Less than a minute later the figure on the screen changed to a woman with blond hair wearing her green tented commander uniform. "5B, 8B, and 12S you are to escort the human to the bunker at any cost. The human's safety takes priority over any current mission objectives. You are to terminate anything stopping the successful extraction of said human and YoRHa will be sending reinforcements to your position momentarily" Commanded White as she ended the connection.
To say Commander White was surprised by the newfound information regarding a race she previously thought extinct would be an understatement. However, despite her shock at the information a quick reaction is very important given the scenario as well as something she prides herself on.
Finding the human will not only give YoRha a true purpose but boost morale to new heights. However, from what she knows about humans they tend to be very free-spirited and will not accept being stuck in the bunker. Still, that's nothing she couldn't take care of as she walks off to the bunkers laboratory. She would never hurt a human but it's both for their own good and interest if she could make him or her a little more most importantly a chance to bring back humanity.
'Hmm if it is male then I should definitely go in for a little bit of maintenance to look my best. I'm also going to have to work something out so they won't get mobed. Perhaps I could have the most productive units enter a raffle and the winner will get to spend the day with the human.' she pondered to herself as she walked through the halls of the bunker.
