Near silence as the two parties stared each other down. Well, Alistair technically could only see his uninvited guest though momentary pauses in his whirling defense. The androids on the other hand were both surprised and terrified. Surprised to find the human, not in stasis, terrified that said human is up and seems to be in no way pleased to see them and is ready for combat. But it is easy to understand why after all YoRHa had just broken into his facility, killed his security androids and had nearly leveled a large portion of the upper portion of the library.
However, 12S took the moment to drop his weapon and raise his hands. "We mean you no harm." He said as he turned to look at his comrade's while waving his hands to signal them to do the same. They hesently follow his lead as they drop their weapons.
The shields flying around Alistair come to a halt giving the two parties a slightly obstructed view of the other. Alistair looked slightly relieved but is still on high-alert as he expects a trick.
"You assault my library and kill my security personnel. What do you want?" Alistair said as stoic as possible without portraying both his nervousness and eagerness to once again feel the rush of combat. However, if he could come to a diplomatic solution without surrendering anything important that would also be a win in his book.
This time 8B took a step forward and spoke before 12S had a chance to reply. "We desire your safety, the machines have a foothold in this area. Our orders are to take you back with us to our base of operations classified as the bunker." She said, receiving a look of confusion from Alistair.
"Wait your all here for me?" Alistair asked confused on why a bunch of Androids would destroy the place just to get him and not the treasure trove of knowledge beneath their feet. 12S gave a nod and took another step forward.
"Please come with us, it's our duty to protect mankind." Pleaded 12S hoping that the human will see reason and come with them. 5B lowered herself near her weapon and figured she should try a little more force..
"This area is not a safe librarian, you are to come with us. I have permission to take you by force if necessary. Please no Android would wish to harm a human in any way but for your safety, I have orders to restrain you in the event you fail to cooperate." She warned him as she prepared herself for combat if it comes down to it.
Alistair nodded listening to their words. He understood their intentions but he is unwilling to give up his post. He too has orders of his own and he can not allow himself to be trapped in some bunker and risk being away from the library indefinitely. "I understand each of you have your orders and you must obey them without question. I myself am bound by blood and parchment to defend this place with my life. I can't risk leaving to join you all in some bunker. I will not be leaving with you all of my own accords, truly I'm sorry but I will fight if I must." Alistair told them as his shield once again blocked his sight of them.
The androids were deeply disheartened by this and 12S had a hard time understanding why he is so insistent on protecting a bunch of books. 5B and 8B as much as they disliked his decision begrudgingly respected it forit. The human is acting against his own best interest while on the other hand putting his job above all else displaying his loyalty and dedication to the library.
All the androids picked their weapons back up and got into a fighting stance. "So be it, I will try to leave you heads in one piece," said Alistair as Heartless crescent flew as 12S still spinning horizontal while Bludgeon in the exact same manner flew lower to the ground at 5B. Then Heart Piercer used a different tactic it flew straight as an arrow targeting the heart of 8B.
Alistair's weapons are fast but the androids are faster and evade his attacks. Despite their advantage in speed they know they can not evade them forever and since the shield and longsword are all spinning around the librarian keeping him covered making any form of a direct assault on him all but impossible.
While they are dodging his creations the librarian began to move towards the stairwell upstairs. Then to his surprise two little robotic things flew above him forcing the young man to raise one of his shields and send Foe Breaker to crush the robotic aggressors.
Then another one was right behind the shield forcing him to readjust once again. This gave 5B an opening so she charged at him prepared to hit him with the handle of her blade but Foe Breaker intercepted and blocked her attack. At this point, Alister knew he was in trouble and needed to flee. He had battled androids in the past but these things are almost as strong if not stronger than the red-headed twins, a stranger with a red dragon that previously beat some sense into him. A small chuckle overcame it. 'I'm not as powerful as I used to be but I still have plenty of tricks up my sleeve.' He thought to himself.
"VETITO EVIL SONG NOW!" He yelled to his dear companion. He knows that he needs to leave if he is indeed their main target. As soon as he said the words Vetito opened up and red energy started pouring out of her as a piece of strange music started to echo throughout the room. The three androids gave out a cry in agony as their pain receptors were overload by this dark spell. Despite the pain, they are determined to fight on wile narrowly avoiding his flying weapons as they focus on striking at his shields ashe increases his pace towards the stairwell leading out of the kill room. so he places all of his shields to his back thus blocking the androids and giving him time to attempt to escape and lure them away from the library. Alistair then commanded his weapons to keep at their pace giving the android and their robotic pets a chance to evade them. He can't risk killing them here, he needs to lure them you so whatever is giving them their orders will have little reason to further assault the library.
The three androids recognized his plan but knew they could do little about it so they attacked his shield's as much as they could. After a few more of their combined strikes two of the shields vanished leaving two more blocking the doorway. However, having to dodge magical weapons is drastically slowing down their pace and that cursed song the book is singing from behind the shields is not helping.
"HURRY VETITO!"Yelled Alistair as he waited at the top of the stairs for his book to stop singing. At his command, she stopped and flew up to him as he ran through the broken door frame of the once strong and sturdy security door. He could since that his creations had fled before their destruction and now only one shield remains blocking the door. So he ran bursting through the front door of the library, getting his first taste of fresh air in a very long time. But this pleasantry did not last long as seven YoRHa flight units flew overhead.
Knowing full well he's been spotted since the flight units appear to be finding a spot to land he ran into the nearest building using it for cover. As he ran through the building he could hear the sound of heavy footsteps not far behind him. So he burst through an emergency exit and found himself in an old decrepit alleyway ankle-deep in sand.
"Please human I am YoRHa unit 3D, please let me escort you to safety." said a feminine voice right behind me. I quickly turned around to find a woman with long white hair, pale skin and blindfold covering her eyes with the same taste in clothing as the others chasing him.
"As much as this human would love to go on a date with such a lovely woman I do have a job to see though so I must be off," He said as the man recalled his weapons. Four weapons appeared hovering around him while a black longbow appeared in his hands. The bow he conjured named Midnight Hunter can fire magical seeker arrows that will attempt to find the best route to hit the target. The librarian's shields however are resting at the vault thus he is unable to summon them without risking their integrity.
3D took a step back, he face showed that she is saddened that she must battle the first human she has ever seen but prepared herself for a fight all the same when another figure made himself known by attempting to jump on top of 3D. This forced her to swiftly backstep with a grunt.. "Did I just hear a human, here in the flesh?" Asked A silver-haired young man with glasses dressed in a white dress shirt and dark dress pants.
"I think I did brother," Said another male figure with short silver hair and metal-plated legs. He landed right behind Alistair.
"Master Alistair lookout." Said the flying book as Eve hit the young human right in back of the head knocking him out. As he fell Eve caught him and slung him over his rightsholder and the weapons around just floated as they obeyed their master's last command. Meanwhile, 3D snared in furry at the humanoid machines.
"3D to bunker the human had been captured by a pair of humanoid machines, need reinforcements at my location now." She demanded and she readied her blade as an energy barrier covered her body.
Adam with a smug grin stepped towards the YoRHa android. "Eve give the human a seat at our table." He said and with that Eve turned around and ran off escaping with the human in his grasp.
"NO, I WILL..." 3D was saying as Adam kicked 3D, knocking her down. Then around the corner, several B units and an S charged at the humanoid machine who is currently doing his best to hold them off while his brother escapes with the human.
Then five androids ran out for behind the corner to back up 3D while the other two joined the three that just stepped out of the lybrary seconds ago begane to chase down Eve. "I WILL KILL YOU WITH MY BARE HAND IF I HAVE TOO!" Yelled in furry at Adem and she charged him.
The other five anged that a machine has dared to touch a human were charred at him as well all with furry in their eyes. The only thing on their mind now was kill the machine, save the human. They would do this no matter the cost.
"Did any of you see that coming? Anyone ever wonder where Adem and Eve got their books, just a thought?
