As the days passed, Blake had started to find herself taking more than just an interest in the caterpillar, Luna Pandora Lovegood. She had started to take an actual liking to the Demi-Goddess. The Infinite Demi-Dragon Goddess found Luna's presence welcoming and entertaining to the point where she couldn't resist releasing a few snickers at the Demi-Goddess' antics, and the extremely humorous chaos caused by said antics. Something that was indicated by Blake when addressing the Demi-Goddess by calling her a caterpillar in a more affectionate manner than how she said it earlier. Not that many people could tell the difference considering that she pretty much always spoke in a deadpan.
It was her growing fondness of the Demi-Goddess that made Blake furious at the worms who dared not just disrespect Luna, but also bully her. And it wasn't just calling her names both behind her back and to her face, but also stealing her belongings. Fortunately for them, they managed to avoid being the targets of the Demi-Dragon Goddess' wrath, as the blonde worm, who had been arguing with the redheaded male ant days prior, clearly lacked survival instincts, trying to approach Blake. And the first thing he did was insulting her.
Blake was enjoying listening to Luna telling her about how the events that took place during the previous years when she had the displeasure of meeting the worm. The Demi-Goddess had just reached the part of the tale of her first year detailing an incident involving a rogue Bludger, basically a charmed cannon ball, that only targeted Charlie Potter instead of attacking all of the players equally during a match of Quidditch when the worm showed up, a pair of ants standing by his sides like a pair of bodyguards, trying and failing miserably to look intimidating. It was a fake cough to clear his throat that made Luna stop the telling of her tale to the Infinite Demi-Dragon Goddess, making said Demi-Dragon Goddess reluctantly turn her attention towards the worm, as she found the caterpillar's story very interesting and somewhat amusing.
"Mudblood." Exclaimed the worm arrogantly. "The name is Malfoy. Draco Malfoy." Apparently the name of the worm's family was supposed to be mean something or be important to most people in the British Wizarding World.
"… is that name supposed to mean something? Because to me, it's nothing more than the last name of a worm." Replied Blake in a deadpan, causing the worm and his pet-ants to stare at her with wide eyes at her lack of care. Luna on the other hand was snickering.
"WHAT!? HOW IN MERLIN'S NAME COULD THE NAME MALFOY NOT MEAN ANYTHING TO YOU!?" Shouted the worm in clear disbelief (and maybe denial) at what he just heard, loudly, causing everyone in proximity to protect their ears and hearing in various ways due to the sheer volume. The worm's pet-ants and the caterpillar literally covered their ears, while the Infinite Demi-Dragon Goddess created a pair of magic circles on her ears with the property of repelling sound, effectively functioning as a pair of earplugs. The three of them that actually covered their ears wincing despite the fact that they covered their ears, as doing so only dampened the sound for them. Blake on the other hand just seemed annoyed. The worm continued to throw what can be best described as a rather pathetic tantrum for about an hour until he seemed too tired to continue.
"Are you done?"
"How dare you!? I'm a pureblood and you're just a pathetic mudblood!"
"… while I'm quite sure that mudblood is an insult, I still don't know what the term refers to." Exclaimed Blake, completely unaffected by the worm's insult, sending the caterpillar a questioning look at the end, asking without actually asking Luna to explain what the term meant, indicated by a barely raised eyebrow changing her expression from one of disinterest into one reminiscent of curiosity. Like usual she said what she just said in a deadpan. Upon realizing the unasked question sent her way, Luna just mouthed later, to which Blake merely shrugged.
"How can you not know what the term Mudblood mean!? You have magic don't you!?"
"… have you ever considered that the world might be bigger than what you're told?"
"Huh!?"
"… thought as much… stupid worm. Come on caterpillar, let's leave the worm and his pet-ants, you didn't finish that tale of yours."
"Of course." Exclaimed Luna cheerfully as she took her leave with Blake hot on her heels.
