Chapter Nine:

"Hmm, how should I solve this pathetic… task." Thought Blake to herself as she rather lazily walked into the arena she had been watching next to the caterpillar from the seats just seconds ago, her hands lazily kept in the pockets of her pants. Her eye still twitching wildly in irritation. "I know I have infinitely more than enough power to do this however I want, and I don't want to waste any more time than I have to, but I still want to make enough of a statement to make the bugs stop bothering me. Hmm… what to do, what to do?" As the Infinite Demi-Dragon Goddess continued to enter the arena, her ears got assaulted by the noise of the cheers from the audience as she walked in, much to her annoyance. "Damn, these bugs are loud… and annoying. Now I really want to do something that not only makes them stop bothering me but also shuts them up. Tsk. I don't normally waste time making an unnecessary spectacle… but I'll make an exception, just this once." As Blake thought the last part an idea of what to do started to form in her mind as her silvery grey eyes fell upon the oversized salamander the bugs called a dragon, her expression being a bored one like usual. The bugs claimed that it was one of the most dangerous species of oversized salamander in the entirety of the Wizarding World… which didn't really say anything to the Infinite Demi-Dragon Goddess… until she saw what the bugs had intended for her to go up against, something that made her eyes to widen… barely… not that anyone noticed.

What Blake was intended to face off against, was actually a Flying Wyvern from the same collection of islands where Blake found her familiar, Chomp, and not an oversized salamander these bugs called a dragon. It's specific species was called Gold Rathian, named so because of the golden scales, quills, claws and webbing of its wings, a subspecies of the Rathian, the female member of a family of Flying Wyverns. The male member of the family of Flying Wyverns was usually called Rathalos. And that family of Flying Wyverns was actually one of the few things that Blake respected… as a predator. It wouldn't stand a chance in a fight with the Demi-Dragon Goddess, but it was still amongst the apex predators on the collection of islands, hidden from the outside world in the Bermuda Triangle, that was its home.

Taking a quick glance at the nest that the Flying Wyvern was guarding, Blake saw something that definitely wasn't supposed to be this far north. Amongst the other eggs in the nest was an actual Wyvern Egg, probably belonging to the Flying Wyvern guarding it. And from the looks of it, the egg was of a particularly large specimen, which also meant that it was a rare one as well. Based on a series of observations of the various animals of the hidden islands in the Bermuda Triangle, Blake had come to the conclusion that roughly seventy percent of the various species of creatures living on the islands were at an estimated average size. Roughly twenty percent of the creatures being smaller than average and the last roughly ten percent of them being bigger than the average. While she wasn't entirely sure about the why, Blake suspected that it was because of the magically unstable nature of the Bermuda Triangle that was responsible for the differing sizes of the local wildlife.

As the Infinite Demi-Dragon Goddess reminisced about the creatures in the Bermuda Triangle and pondered on not only how the hell the bugs even got their hands on the Wyvern and her egg, but also what kind of creature from said region would be a good present for the caterpillar as a pet, the abrupt boom of a cannon signaled the start of the first task, much to her annoyance. As she walked into the arena, she barely spared the judges, the audience or the Gold Rathian a glance.

When Blake had reached roughly the center of the arena, the Gold Rathian fired a fireball at the Infinite Demi-Dragon Goddess, who lazily sidestepped it, causing it to miss and explode against the barrier protecting the audience in an incredibly hot inferno. Releasing a sigh of boredom, Blake created a pair of magic circles underneath the Gold Rathian and its egg. With a somewhat lazy snap of her fingers, the Gold Rathian and its egg teleported away from the arena in a blindingly bright flash of pale purple light, leaving the arena void of the Flying Wyvern and its egg. And with that done, the Infinite Demi-Dragon Goddess lazily walked up to the nest and grabbed the Golden Egg. Leaving the entire audience and the judges in silence with most of their jaws hanging wide open in awe and disbelief as she simply used a teleportation circle to teleport herself out of the arena. The only one who wasn't rendered slack jawed by the display was the caterpillar.
