Rei was having second thoughts about this. The room he was currently in was swarming with little devils running about, screaming at the top of their lungs.
He was in a nursery, and the reason for the behaviour of the children was recess.
Ever since he arrived, Rei had sat at a small bean bag, keeping mostly to himself. He was with a pencil box and a writing board on his lap, drawing a few sketches with the pencils.
He was sketching the faces of the main characters of this universe, class 1-A in particular, just for the fun from his memory.
As they appeared in the anime of course.
He would find it funny if someone could identify them from the character sketches he drew in the future.
"Wow! You can draw so well!" One boy exclaimed before immediately going back to his friends to play.
"That's a first." Rei smiled. In his previous life, he could not draw for the life of him, only able to fabricate characters straight out of a western cartoon.
"Who are they?" The voice of a girl questioned. Rei turned around to look at a girl about his age. Blond hair with those stereotypical large round spectacles.
"Hmm, them? Well, they're heroes." He said with a smile, turning to face her.
"Really, like All Might?" She asked with a bit of enthusiasm.
"Yup." He cheered on. He then pointed to the person in the middle of the piece. "Especially this one." He said while nodding.
The girl looked and saw that he was pointing to a boy with messy dark hair with light highlights on the upper sides. He was adorning a toothy smile with wide eyes.
"Who is that?" She asked Rei.
"Rather not say." Rei stated before turning away, the girl could hear him mutter something about 'messing up the cannon' under his breath, leaving her wondering about what a cannon had to do with the drawing.
'Okay.' Rei thought. 'I think I made a horrible mistake coming here.'
When his father had offered him to go to a place suited for his mind, he maybe should have accepted. He severely underestimated how slow time passes in school, let alone kinder garden.
He was also wasting precious time too, time he could be using to gather knowledge.
He would make a deal with his Father. When he gets back home, he will ask him to take him to the facilities for a day and if the 'Special Schools' proved to be fun enough, he would attend.
Right with his nod of resolution, the bell rang, signalling the end of the break.
It was P.E class and all the students were allowed to play on the playground, Rei was taking no part in any of the games that the children played. Turning instead to the soccer field adjacent to the playground.
He saw that his brother was playing, and he was rather good at it.
Rei now sat at the auditorium, watching intently. His brother had already scored about two goals from when he arrived alone.
The referee blew out of his whistle, signalling the halfway point. The teams dispersed and they headed back towards the stands. Coincidentally where Rei was sitting.
Takashi beamed as he noticed his brother. "Rei!" He called out, breaking into a light jog.
Rei smiled back. Then an idea popped into his mind. He looked down at his hands, palms held open facing him. If he wanted to be a hero in the future, he would have to be fit physically didn't he.
"What are you doing here? Came to watch your big brother play?" He asked with a smile, wiping traces of sweat away from his forehead.
"Yeah, you were really good out there." He congratulated.
"Thanks." He laughed, placing his foot on an elevated platform, he bent down to re-tie it.
"So... Takashi," Rei said to garner his attention.
"Hmm?"
"You go run in the mornings right?"
"Yeah, usually from the house to the beach." He said with a puzzled expression, unsure of why his brother was asking him such things. "Why?"
"Can I come with?" Rei requested.
Takashi's eyes suddenly widened. "You, want to tag along?" He asked in confusion.
"Yeah, figured a future hero should have a strong body." He explained.
"Oh, that makes sense," Takashi said while nodding in realization suddenly. "Of course, I'd be happy to take you. How about... tomorrow morning?" He offered with a finger held up.
"Sounds good."
"I'm Back!" Rei called out from the driveway.
Hitoshi, who had come to pick him up, looked up from his unpacking of the things on the car to his son. Lightly laughing to himself at how happy he seemed to be to finally be home.
On their way back, Rei had asked to be taken to the academies he had recommended for a single day. He also stated that he would attend it if he found it endearing. It was an offer he could not refuse, a one he took.
They would go tomorrow,
This was one of the few things that actually brightened his mood for the day. He didn't exactly have the most thrilling of days today.
First, he tore his Lab Coat on his way out the morning. Then his bus got delayed. Then he found out he forgot to bring something to eat for lunch.
But worst of all, someone had somehow broken into their house and stole a schematic for the Particle Accelerator he designed not two weeks prior. He had prepared to have it approved at his facility before showing it to the board at I-Island. He could only imagine what the thief planned to do with it, it was practically priceless.
But his son suddenly requesting for him to be taken to the places he had recommended, which put a slight smile on his face.
"Evening Omura-Sama." Saki politely greeted him.
"Good evening." He returned. He walked into the kitchen and placed everything he was carrying on the isle.
"Can you take care of the rest?" He requested the maid.
"Of course." She said as she began unpacking.
"Glad to hear." He turned and made his way back out.
"You're not staying for tea?" She called out from the front door. Concern slightly laced in her voice.
"I have to get back as soon as possible. My co-workers are really angry at me right now." He explained.
"What happened?" She questioned.
"Someone stole something from us, something important." He said as he got in the car with an air of urgency. He started it up and drove off, leaving Saki just standing there, a bit taken aback by his behaviour.
She just shrugged it off before she made her way back to the house.
Rei had expressed such joyous antics when he got home as the gruelling hours of the school were finally over. Better still, his dad had driven off back to work, not even stopping for tea or a snack first. Which meant he had all the time in the world right now.
"Do you need anything?" Saki asked from the door entrance to his room. Rei was currently busy changing from his dirty clothes.
"Tea with milk would be nice," He told her, unlike his parents and his brother, he could never ingest the liquid he would refer to as green tea. The closest he could come to was to drink the ones with milk, the tea that the British drank.
Saki nodded and went downstairs to the kitchen.
As Rei was left alone to his thoughts, he began to wonder when his quirk would manifest.
He knew they usually came about at the age of four. He was living the past few days in vain anticipation, always hoping every day would be the day it came.
Today was no exception.
As he headed down the stairway that led up to the second floor from the living room, busily was putting on a shirt.
Saki was already on her way to bring him what he requested, a cup of tea and a few cookies.
"Oh, you were coming down?" She said as she placed the tray she was carrying on the table instead.
"Yup." He nodded at her as he picked up the tray from the dining table, carrying it with a trace of difficulty due to the awkward shape and size for him.
"Going to the office again?" She asked to which she received a nod.
Now Rei sat at the office chair once more, having already chosen a book for him to read. He then took to stir his cup with the small silver teaspoon.
Suddenly, as he picked it up. He swore something happened. Felling as if he suddenly had a new limb.
He looked to the spoon in his hand, clenched tightly around his still small hands. He opened and was shocked to see a deformed handle of the spoon in his palms.
"What the?" He uttered in confusion. "Did I do that?" He questioned himself. There was no way he possessed even the hundredth of the strength to deform the silverware.
Then relational dawned on him.
"What if I..." He said as he looked intently at the spoon, imagining it in its non-deformed, non-mangled; normal state.
It then began to move. First faint, then it vibrated softly, sparks of blue electricity began to emit off of his palm as the spoon began morphing.
After a moment, the spoon was back to normal. There was no trace that it had been altered in the first place.
"So that seems to be my quirk." He said with a look of interest. "I wonder how it works." With that, he made his way into the kitchen.
Jogging lightly out of the office, across the living room, then into the kitchen.
"Oh, Rei, how can I help you?" Saki asked politely when she saw him enter the kitchen.
"Can you bring out all the spoons, the forks, and the butter knives?" He requested.
"I-" Saki was taken aback by his strange request. "What?"
"The Silverware. Can you bring them out and place them on the table?" He repeated.
"Why?" She questioned as she headed for the kitchen cupboards.
"I want to try something." His answer did nothing to quell Saki's confusion.
After the things were all laid out on the table. Rei sat on top so that he could reach them and walk around.
Beside the table was a very confused Saki.
"What exactly are you planning?" She questioned.
"A test." He answered, this also doing nothing to move Saki out of the dark.
Rei then reached out to one of the spoons again, grabbing it and holding it out. He then made it so that the spoon he was holding touched another spoon on the table. Imagining it so that the two would connect, small sparks of electricity began emitting again.
Saki eyes then suddenly widened out of alarm, as questions started to come to her mind. What was this? Was it a quirk? Wasn't Rei's quirk a mutant one that enhanced his intelligence? If so, what was the meaning of this? Was he naturally this unnaturally smart? How could that be possible?
In her confusion, she garnered a yelp, bringing up a hand to hold her mouth was a natural reaction.
Rei then began inspecting the two spoons attached. Always focusing so that they would stay that way.
Just on a whim, he imagined them being welded together. A bigger spark suddenly flashed before dying down. When it did, Rei had stopped willing it to be attached yet they did not separate.
Rei then attempted pulling them apart finding that he was unable to do so.
"Interesting..." He said as he held up the spoon again.
Holding it, palm open upwards, he imagined that the two spoons welded to each other were to be in the shape of a ball. Sparks picked up again, the spoons bending and twisting, collapsing onto one point.
A magnetic field was formed into a perfect sphere around Rei's palm, forcing the silver atoms in the spoon to collapse towards their nearest centres.
When it was done, Rei was left with a perfect sphere the size of a coin on his palm.
"So this is... silver?" He questioned the maid as he pocketed the small silver ball.
Saki was staring with her mouth wide open when he asked, shaking herself out of her trance, she cleared the throat.
"Yes, that's silver." She confirmed. Saki could hardly believe it. A child with this much control over his quirk when he just got it. It almost seemed... God-given. It looks like this little boy was still full of surprises.
Rei then looked at the other spoons on the table. "And those?" He asked as he pointed.
"I think most of them are silver. Some of its aluminium."
"Okay..." He said as he nodded with a smile. He then reached towards them and began doing what he did to all the other kitchen utensils.
When she was done. One large ball made of silver with a radius of about 7 cm and a ball made of aluminium with a radius of about 4 cm was left on the table. He had tried to alter plastic but found he was unable to, leading him to conclude that he was only able to control things that could conduct electricity.
He also found out that moulding aluminium was much harder than silver, leading him to believe that the more conductive the material, the easier it was for him to control.
"What are you going to do?" Saki questioned him. Turning almost all the silverware they had into two balls was... weird.
"You'll see."
After about an hour of tinkering, Rei had managed to build a machine. It was a simple piston, aimed up. It was the size of a small dog.
The design used gears and electronic actuators instead of hydraulic ones. It was almost flawless, save for the crude wires he had to make by literally covering a metal strand with electric tape.
He plugged it in and turned it on. Already knowing full well that it was perfectly safe and no fire will break out.
The machine hummed to life and on the little control pad he made, he pressed a small lever that told the piston to pump. The dynamos and gears in the machine buzzed and the piston moved. Pumping the bar up.
"Goodness... Rei." Saki exclaimed at the contraption. The machine came from the hands of a four-year-old. Just what was he reading about at his father's office.
"I feel-... light-headed..." Rei muttered with a bit of a drag in his voice. When he had finished building the machine, he noticed that his body and his mind were tired.
"So that's the drawback..." His quirk seemed to generate electricity to control things from his own bodily energy, making him more and more tired in the process. Not that big a deal to be perfectly honest.
He then noticed a faulty transistor on the piston itself. Reaching to touch so that he could fix it, he made contact with the metal piece. As soon as he did, the flow of electricity that was powering the machine, changed its direction to him.
As the charge went through his body, he noticed he was becoming more and more awake. The sensation also felt oddly good too.
Then his hairs started to float up, sparks started to appear through his body, starting to burn the clothes he was wearing. Though the sparks themselves did not hurt, the heat from the small flames did.
"Ouch! Ow! Ow!"He stopped the flow of current immediately and began putting himself out. Saki giving him a helping hand with a frantic look.
After a while of patting Rei's body, the smalls flames died down.
Rei then stared at his hand in thought. "So I could recharge if I just take in electricity itself." He said with a wide smile. "Awesome."
Saki was watching all of this unfold with a shocked expression, Rei had just manifested his quirk and was experimenting with it in all the wrong and unsafe ways.
"Rei, could you stop?" She made the request.
"Huh?" Rei uttered as he looked towards her, hair still floating with sparks of electricity running through it. It was quite a funny scene, Saki was not going to lie to herself about it, but she held her face.
"I'm asking you to stop." She repeated herself. "It's dangerous..."
"No it's not-" Rei immediately brushed it off. "Besides, when has science ever been too shy to try." He cheered with a laugh. "By the way, could you turn that switch off?" He requested as he pointed at the switch on the kitchen wall the machine's chord was connected to.
Saki was inclined to believe him, she was certain he was smarter than her and that he actually knew what he was doing. The piston thingy on the table told her that much. But he was also still just a child, and if something had happened to him, she would be held responsible as the adult here.
When she flipped the switch off, the machine seized its movements and Rei began altering it again with his quirk. She noticed that little by little, his floating hair was coming down. Eventually, they settled again in their natural state.
"Hngh..." Takashi grunted as he wobbled on the back seat.
"Does it still hurt?" Angel question from beside him to which Takashi shook his head.
They were both sitting at the back seat of a public service car.
Takashi had his right hand warped up in a white cast. During soccer practice, he had fractured three bones in his palm. He was sent to the hospital to get treatment, his mother being informed of his unfortunate circumstance.
The doctors treated his wounds and placed a cast on his arm before discharging him from the hospital with his mother. They booked their ride home as Hitoshi was very busy quelling his co-workers.
"Here's your stop." Their driver said from the front, queuing for their leave.
"Thank you," Angel said to the man and tapped something on her phone, paying for the man's services through an app. "Takashi, can you walk?" She turned to him.
"Yeah," Takashi said, though not too enthusiastically as he got out.
Angel just looked on with sadness. The usually peppy and energetic Takashi had been reduced to this due to an injury. She hoped he would recover as fast as he could.
Takashi waited for his mother on the porch. Angel caught up to him, occasionally stealing glances at her son from the side of her eye. She then knocked on the door, not soon after, frantic footsteps could be heard approaching the front door from the inside. Whoever it was, they seemed to be in a panic.
They stopped at the front door for a moment, no doubt to look through the peephole and they gasped. The voice was of Saki, She then unlocked the door.
"Miss Omura, I... didn't know you were coming home early today." She sounded nervous, Angel wondered why.
"You look like my husband when I catch him doing something wrong. Did something happen?" She questioned her as she made her way in. Takashi following closely behind.
"Uh, no! I mean... maybe, something happened..." She trailed off, fidgeting uncomfortably in place.
"Saki! who is it?" Rei called from the kitchen.
Angel turned to where the voice came. "Rei's in the kitchen?" A smile began to adorn her face.
"Miss Omura..." Saki called to her. Angel turned back to look at Saki who had a conflicted look on her face.
"Is something the matter?" She questioned her.
"No..." She answered.
Angel looked at her, confused. Just what was Rei doing in the kitchen.
When she saw what Rei was doing in the kitchen, she understood immediately what Saki was so concerned about.
There he sat beside a machine that seemed to be active. He also had his hand on it. Tiny sparks of electricity ran through his hair.
He looked at her the same way Saki had when she opened the door for her.
"Rei?" Angel exclaimed with wide eyes, arms held to her sides awkwardly out of her freezing in place.
"I can... Explain." He said nervously, flashing her a shaky smile.
"Now what are you doing. That's dangerous!" She exclaimed as she marched on to him. "Get away from that!" She took him up from his spot on the table, and into her arms. Not the least bit phased by the electricity coming off of the boy, due to the nature of her quirk.
So Rei had manifested his quirk and was experimenting with it. That was the reason Saki was so on edge when she met her, as she should be. It was completely irresponsible of her to allow Rei to do such things.
"Saki, what were you thinking." She asked as she turned around with a glare.
"I'm... sorry, he insisted and I should have stopped him." She said meekly, averting her gaze from her.
"Damn right you should have!" She yelled. Taking a moment to compose herself as she placed her hand on top of her chest and began slowly breathing in and out. "What would you have done if something had happened?"
"I-" Saki took to answer, but found she could not.
"Listen, I'm not mad at you... oh who am I kidding, I am mad at you-... But!" She said as she lifted her finger. "I'm only going to cut 20% from your pay this month."
"I... I understand Miss Omura." Saki said with a solemn tone.
The tension in the room began to die down.
"So... Rei has a quirk now?" Takashi said from the kitchen entrance, peeking out from the door frame.
"Hmm..." Angel hummed in thought. If her son did manifest his quirk, they would have to go to have it apprehended immediately. "Saki, I'm going to need you to take care of the house for a while."
"Hmm? Why- Oh." Her eyes widened in realization. "When will you be back?" She asked.
"We'll be back before dinner," Angel stated. "Would you mind?" She gestured to the boy she held in her arms.
"No." Saki took Rei from her.
Angel then went upstairs to take a brisk shower and change.
"Rei!" Takashi exclaimed as he rushed to his brother. "You got your quirk!" He said with a wide smile.
"Yeah." Rei nodded along with him.
"And I suppose it has something to do with metal?" Takashi questioned.
"I think it's electricity." Rei corrected.
"Oh, like mom! Your gonna be so cool when you become a hero." Takashi's eyes suddenly widened and his smile dissipated. He then looked at the cast on his hand. "A hero..." Takashi uttered under his breath. He then tried to move the fingers on his broken hand.
"Takashi," Rei called to him.
"Hmm?" He looked up.
"You know you don't have to do it," Rei stated with sympathy.
"What's wrong, this little thing won't stop me from training you." He stated. "I'll have you know that I've had worse!"
"That's a lie."
"Come on! That's not very Plus Ultra of you!" Takashi announced. "Oh! You are planning on UA right?" He asked with jittery anticipation.
"I- Yeah, yes I am." Rei conceded.
"That's awesome," Takashi said. "You're smart so the only real wall for you would be the physical exam." Takashi began.
"You do know that's like Ten Years away, right." Rei interrupted flatly.
"A little preparation never hurt anybody!" Takashi defended.
Rei just laughed at his brother's antics. Saki did as well.
He then became suddenly curious about what his brother had himself. "Hey, I never really asked you. What's your quirk."
Takashi's enthusiasm suddenly died down. "I... I don't have a quirk." He said as he halted his bouncing.
Rei then felt like he just kicked a puppy.
"Not that there's anything wrong with that." He attempted to lighten his mood.
"Yeah, I know," Takashi said, head still hung low. He then moved to take some things from the cupboards. "Hey... Where are all the spoons?" He asked in confusion.
Rei and Saki both turned with a look of horror and realization.
"Now I want you to behave while we're inside, am I clear?" Angel said as they sat outside a doctor's office.
"Crystal," Rei gave her a nod.
A speaker dinged. Soon after a two people came outside, one was a girl, the other Rei assumed was her father. "That's us. Are you ready?" She asked him.
"As I'll ever be." He stated firmly.
With that, the mother and son duo made their way inside.
When they did, however, Rei was taken aback quite a bit. The person that sat at the doctor's desk was bald and had goggles by the colour of brownish gold with the glasses being green. He also had a bushy moustache and had a stethoscope around his neck.
It was the same doctor that Izuku met with at the start of the series.
The same doctor that people believed was working for All for One. Rei was one of those people.
"Please take a seat." He instructed as he made a gesture with his hand. They did as they were instructed.
"So how does this work?" Angel asked the man, having never done this before.
"First, a few questions." He said as he took out an opaque writing board.
"Has he displayed his quirk?"
"Yes." Rei heard the doctor grumble something under his breath.
"How old is he?"
"He just turned Four Years old, this January." She calmly replied.
"So... What's his quirk?" He said as he placed the board away.
"I think it has something to do with metal." She recalled back at the house how bits and pieces of metal were floating around the machine Rei had presumably built with his quirk.
"Something to do with metal." The doctor repeated. He then reached for something on his table. This thing was a collection of different metals shaped into cylinders. All weighing the same, but their sizes could not be more different.
The doctor then took the longest one, Aluminum Rei deduced; and handed it over to him from across the desk.
"Okay little boy, do your thing." He instructed.
Rei then looked at the piece in his hand, imagining it to bend to the shape of a 'U'. Sparks began to appear around his palm as the metal made creaking sounds as it made to bend. Eventually settling into the shape Rei had desired.
"Now that's something." The doctor said with mild fascination. He then handed over another, smaller cylinder. Rei identified it to be zinc.
"I'm curious about that..." Rei commented as he eyed the cylinder intently.
"Hmm?" The doctor raised his eyebrow. "What do you mean?"
"I'm just wondering how hard it would be to alter." He explained.
"And what do you mean by that?"
"That's zinc, right?" Rie asked the metal in the doctor's hands.
"Yes..." The doctor raised his eyebrows in interest, then looked to the mother. "Smart one eh?" He asked to which he received a nod as he handed it over to him.
Rei then focused, willing it so that the metal would turn into a long rod. Sparks picked up again, but this time, brighter and more intense.
This made the doctor and his mother yelp in surprise.
When the light died down. The piece of zinc had indeed elongated into a rod.
"Yup, a lot harder..." Rei stated while nodding to himself, hand holding his chin.
"How did you know it would be?" The doctor questioned.
"Well, I had a theory that my quirk worked by using electricity. Zinc was a poor conductor while the Silverware back at home was... well, Silver. They were way easier to manipulate." He explained.
"Now, how about that..." The doctor adjusted his goggles. "A quirk that can control anything that conducts electricity. The more conductive the material, the easier it is to manipulate." He said with a smile. He then ushered for them to go into a room.
"What happens now?" Angel asked the doctor.
"I need you to fill in this personal information." He said as he handed her a card. "I'll just need to run a few more tests." He stated.
"Thank you, doctor," Angel said as she and Rei turned to leave.
"I'm happy to help." The doctor said to them as he sat down in his chair.
"Let's go Rei," Angel instructed. Rei got up from his seat and began walking to the door with his mother. Then he had an idea suddenly pop into his head.
"By the way..." He began as he halted his steps. The doctor looked up and Angel turned back. Rei made sure he came off as serious as a Four-Year-old could get as he turned back to face him.
"Do me a favour and don't tell All for One about me, yeah?" He stated with a smug smile.
The doctor's back immediately stiffened. Staring wide-eyed at the boy.
Rei knew this was maybe stupid, idiotic, downright suicidal. But he just couldn't hold himself back from doing something when he was presented with one of the worst people from the show.
Was it a threat? A declaration that he didn't fear the Man? What were they going to do? Kill him? Hah!
"I... have no- Who- What that is-" The doctor attempted to defend himself.
Rei just proceeded to go out of the room with a hop to his step.
"I'm sorry about that." Angel apologized on her son's behalf. "He's quite a boy, you see..."
"No it's-... It's quite alright." He shook his head.
Then she headed out as well.
The doctor then immediately began to type into his computer.
Saving Rei's profile under the 'Quirk of Interest' category, as well as the 'Black List'.The same category All Might was placed under.
No one was supposed to be able to know he was involved with that man. Let alone someone who knew his name. And that person was a boy no less. He had no idea what to make of it.
When Rei got out. He was smiling to himself out of pride. He had managed to unnerve one of the most despicable characters of the show. The man experimented on his own grandchild for goodness's sake! It would be a missed opportunity had he not done something.
There was something at the back of his mind that told him he would regret it later though.
He now stood just outside the doorway. Holding his quirk registration paper in his left hand.
"Wow! Your quirk looks so cool!" Came an oddly familiar voice of a little boy just about his age. When Rei turned to face him, his eyes almost burst out of his sockets.
There stood a boy a bit shorter than him. He had messy green hair and wide eyes, an orange T-shirt, and blue shorts. An All Might figurine in his hand.
This was undoubtedly; Izuku Midoriya.
"I was watching from the little window on the door. The way sparks of electricity went around you and you didn't even look hurt! Can you tell me your name?" He asked him enthusiastically.
Rei's mind was going down a spiral. He had made deliberate attempts not to meddle in the affairs of the main characters until he went to UA by staying home and never leaving. He would have to handle this situation carefully, lest he cause a chain reaction of events that he can do nothing to stop.
"I'm... Omura, Omura Rei." He answered as calmly as he could.
"Omura... like the head scientist of the Omura Labs of Quirk Research, Omura Hitoshi?" He beamed.
"Uh... yeah." 'So far, so good.' He thought.
"So... you're his son?" He suddenly asked with fascination and reverence.
"Yeah."
He gasped before he sunk into a deep bow. "My name is Midoriya Izuku, Omura-San." He introduced himself.
"Yeah... Nice to meet you." 'What is mom doing in there?' He thought in annoyance. Negative possibilities were literally multiplying as they spoke.
"Izuku...?" Came the motherly voice of a woman in her mid-twenties.
Rei looked up to be greeted by the sight of Inko Midoriya, still slim like the start of the series.
"Forgive my son, he's always been interested in quirks you see." She apologized.
Then finally, Angel got out of the office with a ding sounding out. "Oh Rei, I see you're making new friends." She smiled. She then looked at the two people that had been talking to his son. "May I have a name?" She politely asked.
"Midoriya, Midoriya Inko." She replied. "My son, Izuku was asking him about his quirk. Sorry, he can be a little pushy at times, but he means no harm I assure you." She explained.
"Don't worry about it, I know exactly how that feels." She laughed as she reminiscent of all the times Takashi would invade people's personal space and lives because of curiosity. "You're here to take a checkup?"
"Um... yes. He hasn't manifested his quirk yet so we're going to have it get looked at." She said, Izuku nodding enthusiastically along from her side.
"Best of luck to you then." Angel encouraged. "Anyway, shall we?" She gestured to Rei, they began walking out together.
Rei looked back to the boy that was about to head in, knowing full well how distraught he would become the coming evening. He figured he might as well give a word of encouragement, to Hell with the consequences, he had already got involved in something much bigger when he annoyed the doctor.
"Hey." He called out. Garnering their attention as well as his mom. "Whatever happens in there, just know that... know that you can always be a hero if you try." He flashed him as big a smile he could make as well as a thumb.
Midoriya looked confused at first, then slowly, he began to form a wide toothy smile of his own. "Yeah! I will! Thanks, Omura-San!" He all but yelled back with joy. Rei and Izuku's mother also had a smile on their faces.
With that, the parties went their separate ways. Rei and his mother going home. Rei would wonder how much he affected that boy's life on their ride back.
"Rei-... Rei-..." Came the voice of his brother in a hushed manner. Rei was not sure what he was calling him for in the middle of the night, but he opened his eyes with great difficulty anyway.
"Takashi... What's up?" He asked tiredly before he broke into a long yawn. He then began to stretch his arms about him.
"Shake yourself up; we're going for a run."
Rei then stopped his stretching and took a pause, turning to his bedside clock that said 4:00 am in the morning, before turning back to his brother. "You're serious?" He asked with a concerned voice.
"Of course. I don't need my hands to run now, do I?" He said with a grin and got up from his crouch, making his way out of his room.
It was then that Rei realized there was nothing he could do to make his brother concede from this.
So he decided to oblige.
And the two brothers went into the appropriate attire for a run in the morning then headed out. Rei jogging along with difficulty and Takashi making sure he jogged slow enough so that Rei could always run beside him.
I know announcing his knowledge of the main Villain to one of his lackeys is a stupid notion, it's supposed to be,
Rei's natural intelligence extends to learning the logical functions of the natural world through its most basic mechanics almost trivially, not so much foresight. Those things he has to actually try to understand,
