Chapter Fifty Six:

Charlie Potter wasn't sure what to think about the individual known as Blake Ouroboros. His twin sister, who's relation to him was something that he had learned at the end of the previous year. Two of the most notable things about her was her huge amount of (most likely well earned) pride and (if she was to be believed) literally infinite power. Another pair of traits that was obvious about the silvery grey-eyed girl was her attitude of indifference and apathy towards just about everything and everyone, with only a few exceptions. Said exceptions being her girlfriend (Charlie didn't really care about the fact that his sister was dating another girl, but was initially slightly surprised by it), Luna Lovegood, her apparently adopted daughter, Karna (if he remembered correctly), and the kind of odd girl that could be considered a friend (or at least friendly acquaintance), Rouge Rubedo.

While his sister and apparently adopted niece preferred to sit at the Ravenclaw table, more specifically near Luna Lovegood, whenever they showed up, the golden-eyed redhead that was Rouge Rubedo seemed to simply sit at whichever table in the Great Hall she felt like. Without any real care in the world. If she wanted to sit amongst the Griffyndors, she'd sit amongst the Griffyndors. If the mood was to be amongst the Hufflepuffs, then that was where she'd sit. Simply put: she'll sit wherever she wants and you can't stop her. In more ways than one, Rouge was Blake's opposite. Where Blake was uninterested and quiet, Rouge was very interested and loud, quick to strike up conversation and just as quick to gain attention (even if she was rather oblivious regarding the kind of attention she got). Mostly confusion and intrigue due to the redhead's at times over the top mannerisms. Amongst the first-years however there was awe due to the very casual and showy use of magic that as far as Charlie knew wasn't possible. Like conjuring (most likely very complex) muggle-devices that actually worked at a place like Hogwarts without failing or fading after some time like conjured stuff usually did. At least when the girl with the golden horns was asked politely and given a basic description of the objects in question. He believed that most of the muggle-devices were called smart-phones based on what he had heard.

Charlie probably wouldn't admit it but he couldn't really stop himself from quietly agreeing with Ron that Rouge was quite the looker… and likely attracted to both genders given how she rather shamelessly tried to flirt with just about everyone close to her age… with varying success. Which was something that made more than a few people blush, especially when she said something that could imply or be interpreted as sexual. The fact that it was kind of difficult to tell whether she was being serious or not only made it worse. Not that Charlie was sure whether he actually wanted the horned redhead to be serious when she flirted with him or not. He did at least find the various pranks Rouge played, rather ruthlessly, on Umbridge and Malfoy amusing. Especially since it was pretty much never the same thing twice.
