If there was one thing that humans envied and as a result worked towards achieving in some fashion, it was flight. In fact, in the Supernatural World, the ability to achieve flight in some fashion was almost a necessity, especially for humans and naturally flightless species. Be it via magically enhanced technology, an artifact, a spell of some kind, some combination of the three or something else, the naturally flightless has plenty of options to achieve flight… or at least something similar enough that it basically be called flight.
Some beings had multiple ways to achieve flight, a prime example being Blake Ophis Ouroboros. Most of the time she simply opted to manipulate the flow of her personal gravity to levitate herself in the air. But she could just as easily fly using her draconic wings and use the method that the members of the Hebrew Factions used, manipulating the naturally occurring magic in the environment to achieve flight in a manner akin to a fighter jet or a rocket… or just use the wings to fly manually. And Blake could easily achieve supersonic speeds in the air using the rocket-method and pull off maneuvers that would easily have knocked most people unconscious due to the sheer amount of G-forces performing such maneuvers put on the body, causing more than a few members of the Khaos Brigade to call her insane in the air, and considering that a lot of members of the Khaos Brigade were nut-jobs, that was saying something.
Flying in her complete dragon-form though wasn't something that she was used to. Though considering that she assumed that form for the first time was only yesterday, it made sense. Which was why the Demi-Dragon Goddess of Infinity chose to enter her complete dragon-form, taking a page from Rouge's book and perform a transformation sequence (giving her mate a show while doing so), and fly around without Luna riding on her in order to get used to flying in her complete dragon-form. After about half an hour of riderless flight the Demi-Dragon Goddess landed in front of her mate and lowered her draconic head, allowing Luna to take a seat just behind Blake's head and take a hold of her mate's crystalline horns. The Demi-Goddess of Chaos then proceeded to conjure two lengths of rope and tie herself to two of Blake's horns and by her waist, before quickly explaining that it was to make sure that she didn't fall off. With an ever so slight nod of acknowledgment, Blake spread out her massive black wings and with a mighty flap the Demi-Dragon Goddess and her passenger took to the skies, with said passenger closing her eyes out pure reflex during the initial takeoff.
Feeling the chilling air brought on by the steady increase in altitude, Luna understood why Blake advised her to dress in clothes fit for particularly cold autumn weather and was grateful that she followed her mate's advice, otherwise she would most likely catch a cold. Namely a thick sweater with a medium thick jacket, a pair of warm pants, boots and gloves along with a scarf in the colors of the house of Ravenclaw. Once she felt that the wind wasn't hitting her face at an angle that indicated that the altitude was increasing anymore, Luna slowly opened her eyes and was greeted by a sight that left her jaw hanging.
Thousands of meters above the earth, the two mates were soaring, just close enough beneath the clouds that Luna could easily touch them if she wished. Luna stretching out an arm into the clouds was apparently something that Blake took as a silent prompt to fly higher, ascending through the clouds with an extra powerful flap of her wings and treating her mate with the sight of a star filled sky.
"Beautiful isn't it? But not as beautiful as you." Exclaimed Blake suddenly, but the strange thing was that Luna could hear her mate's voice from two places at the same time. The first place was from where one would expect her voice to come from, her mouth. The second place was from right next to Luna's ear. "Touch your right ear."
"Charmer. But how are you doing this?" Asked Luna as she followed her mate's instruction, touched her right ear with her right hand and felt something circular on it.
"Communication circle."
"Ah, that makes sense."
"Shall we make a date out of this?"
"What?"
"I asked, shall we make this our second date?"
"Oh, I understand that. I'm just surprised… but not opposed to the idea."
"Glad to hear it. In the mood for anything in particular for lunch?"
"Japanese. Takoyaki to be specific."
"Sure. Why not? Been a while since the last time I had that dish. From what I understand, it's a rather popular dish to be enjoyed by couples. That settles it, hold on tight Luna."
"Why?"
"We're heading to the dish's county of origin and order ourselves some of the genuine articles."
"Alright then. Japan, here we come!"
