Chapter Sixty Six:

Blake Ouroboros definitely enjoyed her lunch with her mate, especially the end of it where she delivered the milk to help Luna recover from getting the final spicy octopus ball via a kiss. While she had initially intended to take the spicy one, the idea of delivering the milk into Luna's mouth with a kiss was far too tempting to give up. The fact that she managed to pull it off with the perfect timing only made it better. The two were completely ignorant of the various looks they were on the receiving end of, most of which were looks that conveyed the idea that they made an adorable couple.

Amongst those giving the couple such looks were a trio of Devils. Akeno Himejima, Koneko Toujou and Rias Gremory. While the redhead couldn't help herself from feeling unnerved by the presence of the silvery grey eyed girl, she also couldn't help but admit that she felt kind of jealous of said silvery grey eyed girl and her heterochromic girlfriend's relationship. More specifically on how stable it seemed in comparison to how some relationships Rias had been aware of had turned out. Though considering those relationships had been unstable at best, it was rather understandable why the redhead felt jealous of the two girls who were at this point checking out a store that sold various kinds of manga, both untranslated and translated into English.

Taking a closer look at some of the manga, the couple seemed to have a particular interest in the various series of the fantasy genre. Ranging from the classics like that grimdark one about demons with a tragic swordsman wielding a really big sword as the protagonist, to more recent ones like the one about a female office worker dying from overwork and being reincarnated by a goddess in a fantasy world that had similar rules to a video game as an immortal witch who became one of the most powerful beings in the world by killing multiple noobie-mobs every day for over three hundred years. While Rias didn't have much of an interest in the former of the two mangas, she enjoyed the latter one, finding the various antics that the main character and her crew got into rather amusing. With a slight snicker, the redhead recalled a certain adventure where the main character got shrunk down the size of a child after eating a weird mushroom (of all things), which made her wonder if something with a similar existed so she could either send one to or trick the silvery grey eyed girl into eating one as a form of payback for terrifying her at the Rating Game last year.

Deciding to get closer in order to eavesdrop, but remain far away enough to not be noticed… and acquire some new manga for herself, Rias entered the store, browsing while keeping an ear open.

"These are rather fascinating, Blake. Do they actually exist somewhere out there or are they just fiction?" Asked the heterochromic one, who was showing her girlfriend, Blake apparently, one of the more popular fantasy mangas which had a pretty girl, a salmon haired guy and a blue cat on the cover.

"For every fiction there's somewhere in the massive multiverse where that fiction is reality, Luna." Replied Blake after a brief moment of silence to the heterochromic one, Luna apparently.

"… you could have just said that, yes, they're real somewhere."

"True. I think I might be able to achieve interuniversal transportation and travel once I fully master The Kaleidoscope."

"Interesting. What makes you believe that… not that I doubt you'd be able to eventually pull it off."

"I witnessed an Alternate of mine do it within his set of realities and I think there's a chance I'll actually get to meet him in the future. Which I hope happens, should make for an interesting conversation… especially since he has apparently met not only other Alternates of… eh… us, but also a version of Mom."

"Should I be worried that there's more than one Dragon-God of Infinity out there?"

"Probably not, she hasn't seemed to be particularly interested in the multiverse and if she's anything like Mom, she might have found a mate in either the usual candidate or that Alternate of mine… ew." Replied Blake with her face twitching slightly in what appeared to be disgust at the end.

"I don't want to know why your face just twitched in disgust. I can guess it, but I don't want any confirmation." Deadpanned Luna, who was also sporting an expression of disgust. While Rias Gremory wasn't entirely sure what the couple was talking about, the Devil couldn't suppress her own disgust at the mental image that the silvery grey eyed girl and her girlfriend was probably also having.

"Moving on. Shall we proceed with our purchase and head back to the UK? I'm quite sure that the kids are missing us dearly."

"Sure. I'm missing the two as well."

"Then it's settled. Besides I'm getting tired of having that imp eavesdropping on us."

"Imp?"

"Remember that red haired imp who got a chocolate-frog in her cleavage?"

"Oh. Her."

"Indeed. She's nearby, eavesdropping on us."

"Should we really have this conversation so casually when she's nearby?"

"No need to worry, Luna. She won't say anything. Understood imp? We were never here." While Rias couldn't see it, Blake was looking in her direction. Due to the fact that she was basically petrified by a deep instinctual fear for her life, the red haired Devil failed to notice the couple leaving.
