Danny just stared at his computer, then turned to the practically blank page in his scrap notebook. There are many things Danny would deny help for, he rarely even accepts it from Jazz, and she basically raised him! He doesn't even like asking any of the other Leaguers for help whenever he's out of his usual city. Danny doesn't like appearing to be inadequate.

But there is one thing, the absolute bane of Danny's existence, that he would always ask help for, no matter his pride and insecurities.

Homework.

"Hey, uh, Bats?", Danny slowly floated down, holding the notebook and computer awkwardly to his chest.

Batman was working the controls on the main deck, the two were waiting for Green Lantern to return with the others in the Javelin, since they ran out of fuel after their battle, which was located practically halfway across the galaxy.

"What?", Batman asked bluntly.

"How good are you at, uh, at Geometry?", Danny asked hesitantly.

Batman stopped typing and turned to the teenaged ghost, eyeing the items in his arms with a raised brow.

"Sit.", he ordered pointing to a small bench off to the side, close so enough so he could keep an ear out for the others.

Danny was quick to follow Batman's orders, bouncing his knee nervously as he played with his pencil, spinning and flipping in through his fingers. Batman stood over Danny, eyes quickly flickering over the problem on both the computer and in the book, including Danny's multiple attempts.

"Walk me through it, slowly.", Batman instructed.

For the next twenty minutes, Batman watched and listened to Danny as he worked, correcting him and instructing him the correct processes whenever Danny struggled or got it wrong.

It was nice, and Danny felt like he walks through this with his eyes closed. Well, this unit at least. Chemistry is one thing, but Geometry is something else, and takes a little extra effort for Danny to understand. He enjoyed himself a little, and Danny thought Batman did too, at least a little. It'd be nice if he truly did enjoy himself.

Suddenly, lights on the control were blinking and Superman's voice filtered through.

"Javelin 7 to Watchtower, come in."

Batman stood up and walked back over to the controls, pressing the comm link button. Danny flew up, hovering over his shoulder excitedly, he reminds Batman of a puppy with his happiness towards the other's return.

"Watchtower here.", Batman answered.

"Prepare the Landing Bay. We're coming in.", Superman ordered.

"Just as I was starting to enjoy the peace in quiet.", Batman retorts sarcastically.

"Danny's there with you, it couldn't have been that quiet.", Superman teased.

"I was doing my homework.", Danny called out.

"Ah, that makes much more sense.", Superman replied, you clearly hear the amusement in his voice as he spoke before cutting off the comm link in order to land.

Danny pressed a couple buttons and flicked several switches, feeling the slight vibration underneath his feet let him know that he was successful in opening the Bay doors.

Just as Green Lantern was about to slowly pull the Javelin in, there was bright flash of light in the distance, that soon became a wave and consumed both the Watchtower and the Javelin with Green Lantern just outside it.

Both Batman and Danny fell to the flower, tossed from side to side. The whole thing felt like it went on forever, but it only lasted three minutes at most.

Danny groaned, using the console to pull himself back up to his feet, Batman not too far behind him.

"What happened?", Danny asked groggily.

"I don't know.", Batman answered as he looked over the instruments and controls.

"Watchtower to Javelin, are you all right?", Batman spoke into the comm link, but received no response.

Both Batman and Danny looked to each, each sharing varying levels of worried looks. Danny flew off to the large window that allowed him to overlook where the Javelin and Green Lantern just were.

"Watchtower to Javelin, do you copy?", Batman called out, and once again, received no response, "Superman, are you there?"

Danny froze, staring out the window in shock and horror.

"... Bats?", Danny called back to the Dark Knight, eyes never moving away from the window.

Batman looked up to the ghost teen questionably, not missing the way his voice trembled as he spoke. Batman hurried over to the frozen Phantom only to freeze himself as he looked outside the window.

There was nothing there, just Earth slowly rotating peacefully.

"It's gone, the Javelin and everyone with it.", Danny breathed panickily, "They're all just gone."

That's why the nothing horrified them, because nothing was there.

And neither were their friends.

Before either can do anything, a blue portal appeared right next to them.

...

The Justice League all watched the way too young faces that made up the Resistance, led by this newly armored Batman, that have all taken up arms to fight the good fight.

The adult heroes all watched as they talked, laugh, couples getting together, even mere children playing. But looking over all this, one by one, they all noticed something was missing in this new world they've found themself in, or rather, someone.

"Batman, where's Danny?", Superman asked, expression serious.

"Who?", Batman asked, sounding completely clueless.

Flash groaned, "Ugh, Danny, you know, looks like a sixteen-year-old teen, white hair, usually goes by Phantom or Danny Phantom even. He's been dead for a couple of years, likes to keep things to himself a lot, up to a frustrating level?"

Batman just stared at the speedster stoically, giving nothing away.

"...There is only one person I know that matches your description.", Batman finally answered after a long moment of silence.

Flash smiled brightly relieved that somethings seemed to have stayed the same.

"Great! Call him over.", Flash asked, hiding his nervousness behind a cheerful persona, "Where is he, by the way?"

He's glad Danny's okay, but he's worried how the teen has faired in this new changed world.

Batman tilted his head, Flash was sure that if he could see Batman's upper face, he'd see the raised eyebrow the Dark Knight was definitely giving him.

"Not here, if that's what you're asking.", Batman retorted curtly.

"Well then, where is he?", Hawk Girl asked, a little impatient to see the ghost teen herself.

Batman turned to the computer and began rapidly typing.

"What are you doing?", Green Lantern asked bluntly.

"I'm calling him, just like you requested.", Batman answered shortly.

Green Lantern crossed his arms, glaring at Batman, "But you didn't answer where he is."

Batman seemly finished with what he was doing turned back to the group.

"I've successfully managed to make contact with Phantom in the Ghost Zone.", Batman informed the group, "If he's willing, and able, to talk. He should be here shortly."

"What do you mean if he's able?", Wonder Woman asked curiously.

"And what does he do in the resistance?", Superman added.

"Phantom has many responsibilities in the Zone, he doesn't have time for social visits. But he will make it, if I call.", Batman answered, "Unfortunately, he can't do much to help us in the fight. Phantom has his own people to protect and worry about. We're just lucky that he gives us the supplies that we need in order to continue with our fight against the Regime."

"His... own?", Flash repeated, confused, "What kind of responsibilities does he have?"

…...

A male figure with a cape and flaming crown floating above his head, carefully looked through the crates that are going to be sent out in two weeks. The Ghost Zone's ruler and king always made sure he, at the very least, got to see the end project of all important tasks that need to be completed as the years go by.

He is the most attentive and caring King the ghosts have had in centuries.

In the last two months, the King and the few scouts he sends (allows to come with) out into the world of the living have been very fortunate with their findings. Having found, or stolen, many more food and supplies in the shortest amount of time since the whole fight began in the land of the living.

The King had just checked off the last thing on his mental list, and looked over the crates with a smile. They've met this quarter's quota early, plus more. The Resistance should be well supplied for a while, thanks to the luck in this quarter's collectings.

In a small, even weird, way, the King can't help but sigh contently, feeling like today would be different, that today, there will be a change.

"Your Majesty!", shouts a familiar voice from behind.

The King turned to see Fright Knight striding forward, holding out a futuristic data pad with a green 'screen'.

"A message from the Resistance my King.", Fright Knight offered in explanation.

The King swiftly read over it and couldn't help but smile.

"It seems the Resistance has some surprise visitors, potential assets as well, from what I'm reading.", the King nodded along, before pausing, raising a curious brow as he read the name the group had requested, "Now that's interesting..."

The King hummed in interest and innocent curiosity, never taking his eyes off the data pad, not even once.

"What is it my King?", Fright Knight questioned, confused.

"These visitors that the Resistance has found seem to somehow know us. Yet, we are different than what they've expected.", the King explained.

"Oh, that is interesting.", Fright Knight agreed, "Does that mean they are spies, maybe for the Regime?"

"No, I don't think so. They seem to know nothing of the Regime nor of its history.", the King informed, "But that's not what's so interesting."

Fright Knight was even more confused, if the visitors that know nothing of the Regime wasn't what is interesting to the King, then what is?

"I don't follow your majesty.", Fright Knight admitted honestly.

"The people the visitors know is the leader of the Resistance and someone else. Someone that they are currently requesting for.", the King explains.

"And this person is what's so interesting?", Fright Knight asked, waiting for confirmation.

"Yes, and no.", the King answered before looking up, his toxic green eyes glittering and glowing brighter than usual, "It's the name of the person they've used to request for them."

The King held out the data pad for Fright Knight to see, and once he did, he completely understood the way the King is currently acting.

"Oh..."

"Exactly.", the King nodded, staring down the name once more.

'Danny Phantom'

"Interesting...", the King mused again, "I think the Resistance should receive their supplies early. I'll handle it, as per usual."

"Yes, my King.", Fright Knight bowed before walking away, the data pad in hand.

"Danny Phantom.", the King muttered to himself, "It's been a while since I've heard that particular name. I've almost forgotten it."

...

Suddenly a bright green flash, blinded everyone in the Resistance base. They all turned to see a large bright toxic green portal swirling into existence. Many members of the resistance, the younger ones more specifically, shouted in excitement as they rushed to the portal where large crates exited from. Having been thrown in by someone, or something, on the other side of the portal. They flew high over everyone's heads and landed into a space marked and outlined with chalk and a sign taped up on the wall reading 'Crate Zone Avoid at All Costs'.

The children cheered, which only grew louder when a familiar teen stepped through.

He has snow-white hair that fell into his face. He wore a black jumpsuit, with a white belt, the neck of the suit is white, he has white gloves that reach the middle of his fore arms, white boots that rested just above the middle of his calves, and he wore a long white cape that had a thick dark grey neck line, the cape closed tightly at his neck with golden clasps and chain. On his middle finger on his right hand, he wore a pitch-black ring, that stood out on the white glove, with an glowing emerald green jewel as its centerpiece, and floating above his head is a black spikey crown, consumed in toxic and neon green flames.

But what threw the entire League off guard, were the difference of the teen's eyes and skin. His eyes, the irises glowed brightly, toxic green in color, but the whites of his eyes are now an inky abyss black, and his skin is a cold light electric blue, making the teen look other worldly, demonic even with the black spikey flaming crown floating above his head.

The Justice League knew that, without a doubt, this was their Danny, but he seemed so different.

This Danny wasn't the shy and insecure boy they knew. As he stood there, his cape waving from the draft created by the portal that framed him from behind, his aura screamed confidence, power, and leadership.

But that was soon broken when three kids, two boys, one black haired and one blonde, and a little black-haired girl, tackled Danny to the ground with boisterous giggles, the portal behind Danny shut as they did so. They were the youngest in the resistance that the League has seen thus far. And Danny acted like the perfect big brother as he spoke to them and played with them, greeting all the others that circled around him and spoke adamantly, a few even pointing up to where the League and Batman currently stood.

"That is King Phantom.", Batman spoke to the awe-struck group as they stared down at the boy, they knew who is completely different, yet, somehow, exactly the same, "He is the ruler of the Ghost Zone and the Resistance's largest benefactor. We have some sympathizers throughout the world, but without the King of the Ghost Zone, the Resistance would have fallen years ago."

"Ah, you give me too much credit Bats.", a familiar echoey voice teased, "You would have figured something out."

The group turned to see Danny Phantom, floating in front of them with a wide smirk, showcasing some sharp fangs he's never had before either.

"So, what am I like with you guys?", Danny wondered curiously, "Am I still dead?"

The group couldn't help but stare, compare this Danny to theirs.

"You definitely have less blue, your eyes are less creepy, and you don't have any, you know, fangs.", Flash answered lightly, and honestly, putting his pointer fingers in front of his mouth as if to show what he meant by 'fangs' with fake vampire hissing.

Wonder Woman glared at the speedster, elbowing him harshly in the gut.

"Ow! What did I do this time?", whined Flash as he rubbed his now sore gut.

Danny laughed, landing on the metal platform next to the group.

"I can see why I would hang out with you guys.", Danny then turned to Batman, his sharp-toothed grin softening at the sight of the Dark Knight, "How's it going Bats? Anything new?"

"Nothing besides the obvious.", Batman greeted curtly in return, "You're early with the supplies."

"We were very fortunate during this quarter's collections.", Danny replied, crossing his arms and leaning his hip against the railing, "We got extra this time around, thought since you called it'd be a good time to send them out early."

Batman nodded, looking very pleased over this news.

"So, you're a King now.", Wonder Woman stated curiously.

"Yeah, it's exhausting.", Danny sighed, "But it was harder when I first started when I was fourteen, so that's something at least."

"You became King of an entire species when you were fourteen?", Superman question in disbelief.

"Thanks for acknowledging the fact we are actually something other than just people who've died. Not many, if any, outside the Resistance does when it comes to Ghosts.", Danny said, bowing his head in gratitude before shrugging at the Kryptonian's question, not very bothered, "They almost did it when I was ten. I wanted to wait a couple more years then, but after freeing my people and bringing them all back to the Ghost Zone by fourteen, they thought we've waited enough. Thus, King."

Danny pointed at the flaming crown above his head.

"So, what's your story?", Green Lantern asked, staring at Danny almost warily.

"My parents are scientists that work for the Regime, willingly. I died from one of their inventions malfunctioning at the age of six, became a Ghost, my sister, Jazz, was the one who found me afterwards and managed to hide me away for four years before the Regime and my parents finally found me. They killed her and took me away. And thus, I led a mass breakout and found my way into the Ghost Zone where the ghosts raised me from there."

"...Wow, you just let it all out.", Flash whistled, surprised, "Ours usually hides and dances around the question before finally changing the topic before we even knew it."

"Huh, sounds shy.", Danny comments thoughtfully.

"He is.", Diana agreed.

"And scared."

There was a pause before it was Martian Manhunter who spoke up, having been silent the entire time.

"What do your parents' study?"

"Oh, practically everything.", Danny replies lightly, but his eyes became dark, "But their 'specialty' as they claimed, are ghosts."

Green Lantern clenched his jaw, his hands curling into tight fists, and eyes narrowed, the gears in his brain turning as he thinks back to when he saw Danny on the operating table in Atlantis, his chest open, green liquid oozing from his open and irritated wound. It took a minute, but Green Lantern managed to quietly calm himself down before turning to Batman.

"How long have the Regime been in power?", Green Lantern demanded.

"Since World War II.", answered Batman.

"But we won that war, didn't we?", Flash asked, looking confused.

"... No."

Batman turned and walked up to the large computer Danny had Technus help update and improve when Batman first made the alliance. He pressed a button and looked up at the picture on the screen.

"They did."

The Nazi's in mid-march, looking oh so high and mighty. The Justice League stared up at the picture in shock, with wide eyes, some even had open mouths. Danny glared at the picture, if they never won, he wondered how his life would have panned out.

"You're telling me, we lost WWII?", Green Lanterned asked in disbelief, "That's insane!"

"But it's the truth.", Danny pipes up.

Green Lantern glared at the Ghost King before striding toward Batman.

"The Allies invaded Europe on D-Day and-."

"It was a disaster.", Batman interrupted the dark-skinned man, "D-Day was the beginning of the end for the Allies."

"I can't believe I'm hearing this.", Green Lantern states in shock, but didn't rebuke Batman further.

"Something obviously must have happened in the Time Space Continuum.", said Martian Manhunter thoughtfully.

"The Time Space Continuum?", Danny repeated with a raised brow before nodding in agreement, "Yeah, that sounds about right. There's this ghost, the Master of Time back in the Ghost Zone, but he hasn't been seen since the Allies lost WWII. It most likely has to do with our difference in history."

"Probably caused by that disturbance we saw.", Superman adds on.

"Why weren't we effected?", Wonder Woman asked.

"Perhaps the aura from Green Lantern's ring protected us.", Martian Manhunter theorized.

"But why did it effect Danny and the Ghost Zone, he said it's in a different dimension, how come it was affected too?", Flash pointed out.

"I can answer that.", Danny stepped forward, "The Ghost Zone is a parallel dimension to Earth, think of it as a neighbor. But unlike dimensions, the two are uniquely intertwined, closely connected together. Like a two-way mirror, except the reflection is on both sides, you see yourself in the reflection, but have no idea of the room on the other side. The two worlds are so closely connected, that if Earth was to be destroyed, so would the Ghost Zone and vice versa. One cannot live without the other, like a symbiotic relationship of sorts. But, all that aside, I don't get why that's so important."

"Agreed. Want to share?", Batman asked the group, in agreement to the Ghost King's confusion.

"Have you detected any large electrical or magnetical disturbances recently?", Superman asked instead.

"We experienced some interference on our comm links.", Batman slowly answered, both he and Danny still confused with how that had to do with anything.

"Why?", asked Danny for the two of them.

From the look on Superman's face, he wasn't going to get back to the Ghost Zone anytime soon.

...

In the center of Metropolis city, a green portal appeared and the Justice League, Batman, and Danny all stepped through.

"How long have you been able to do that?", Flash asked Danny curiously as he watched the teen close the portal.

Danny thought about before answering, "I think... it was a little after I became King actually."

"Cool.", the speedster and ghost shared matching grins before hurrying to join up with the others, hiding in the shadows as they stared at the tall building that stood at the city's center.

"According to my sources,", Batman began, ", the pulse emitted from here. Vandal Savage's research center."

"Whose Vandal Savage?", asked Green Lantern.

Both Danny and Batman turned to him incredulously.

"You're kidding.", Danny stated bluntly before turning and seeing the sincere confusion and cluelessness on the other's faces as well, "You're not kidding."

"He's everything I've been fighting against.", Batman answered, staring at a large picture of Savage hung from a nearby building, "The undisputed dictator of this repressive Regime."

"My parents work for him." Danny adds on, "Answer right to him, we have to be careful, they are his head researches and are in charge at this place."

The League all shared looks, having a silent conversation with each other's eyes, before looking determinedly, at the building.

"Let's see what's inside.", Martian Manhunter declared before phasing through the floor.

"I'm coming with you.", Danny declared.

The Ghost King turned intangible and followed right after the Martian. The two appeared at one of the labs top floors. A large metal room with a big platform overlooking what looked to be a silver black hole, with lightening shooting out and sparking from it. It was what provided a bright white light for the entire room.

"We're lucky that the rest of the world that knows of ghosts believe them to be either destroyed, or in the Ghost Zone.", Danny whispered quietly to the Martian.

"But aren't you able to pass between the two worlds' freely?", asked Martian manhunter quietly.

"Right after I was crowned King, I knew the first thing I had to do was to keep my people safe, so I came up with a plan that convinced everyone, even Savage, that opening the portal between the two worlds is disastrous, and faked the portal to be permanently sealed off, destroying their machine in the process.", Danny explained, his voice barely above a whisper, "It took a lot of ghosts, but we somehow managed to pull it off. Ever since then, everyone but the Resistance believe that ghosts are no longer a problem, all trapped in their world, or destroyed over here. All wrong of course. The Ghost Zone became a Safe Haven."

The Martian hummed before turning away. The two peered around the corner of a wall from the small dead end 'alley' they appeared in to see two familiar, in Danny's case, figures, standing at a console full with controls, wearing orange hazmat suits, looking down at the 'blackhole'.

It is Jack and Maddie Fenton, Danny's parents once upon a time.

"It's still unstable and rapidly deteriorating.", Maddie's voice could be heard clearly, echoing loudly in the large metal room.

"How soon before it flat lines?", asked Jack firmly.

"Forty-eight hours, give or take.", Maddie answered stonily, "Just as Savage predicted."

"If only we were able to control the wave fluctuations.", Jack said in awe, sounding as if her were repressing his excitement, "Practical time travel would become a reality."

Both Martian Manhunter and Danny shared looks of shock, before returning their attention back to the platform when loud banging could be heard. Coming from the entrance doors actually.

Hawk Girl easily slammed the doors open with a single hit from her mace. She flew in, the rest of the League coming in right behind her. The scientists all ran, led by Jack and Maddie Fenton. Danny watched his blood relatives run in fear, eyes narrow as he watched them make a hasty retreat.

He was only snapped out of his dark mournful thoughts when he heard shots fired and shouting from the Justice League.

Danny smirked, wanting to beat some manners into these guys for a long time. He turned invisible and appeared behind two men, he grabbed the sides of their heads and slammed them together, immediately rendering the two unconscious.

"I've been wanting to do that for forever.", Danny chuckled with a smirk.

"Over here!", shouts Martian Manhunter, everyone ran, or flew, to where they heard his voice come from.

He is standing at the end of the platform, next to the control console where Jack and Maddie just stood, not even minutes ago. The League got there first, Batman and Danny stood behind them in the back.

"What is that?", Superman asked in shock.

"Heavy matter, like a Black Hole.", answered Martian Manhunter, "The used it as a tunnel into the past."

"And altered history to change the outcome of the war.", Hawk Girl declared, sounding almost disgusted as she spoke.

Batman and Danny shared wide eyed looks as they listened to the group talk to one another.

"Can we change it back?", Flash asked urgently.

"It would be risky.", Martian Manhunter replies cautiously, "We only have forty-eight hours before it collapses."

A large lightning strike flashed out, causing the entire room to shake and rumble.

'We've got to try!", Green Lantern declares determinedly.

"Wait!", Batman called out.

The group turned to the two members that belonged in this time, staring at the hole with mixed emotions, flashing over both of their features.

"Are you saying that our world, our whole lives, are like this because someone went back in time, and changed the past?", Batman questioned for himself and Danny, the two both wanting confirmation.

"That appears to be the case.", Martian Manhunter confirms reluctantly.

"Then doing this could save my parents.", Batman stated, sounding awed.

"And my sister.", Danny breathed, "There's a chance I could still be alive."

"... I can't promise that.", Superman told them sympathetically.

"Will you come with us?", Hawk Girl asked the two.

Both Batman and Danny looked to each other, reading their decision plainly. Both understood exactly what is needed to be done.

"No.", Batman answered while Danny shook his head in a negative, "If this doesn't work, someone's got to stay here and fight."

"This is our world.", Danny agreed, "We can't abandon it. There are people here who need us."

"You both understand that if we do change the past, you two, this version of both of you, will never have existed.", Martian Manhunter explained solemnly.

"Good.", Danny declared, voice firm, without any hesitation.

"Nothing would make me happier.", Batman stated, voice dark, "Now go."

One by one, they all jumped in, but before Flash left, he turned to Danny with a soft encouraging smile before ruffling his hair and running off the platform's edge.

Danny turned to see Wonder Woman hesitating, staring at him then Batman, longer at the later, before hesitantly diving in.

Both Batman and Danny stared at the hole, making no move to leave.

"Think it'll work?", Danny asked, for once in his undead life, sounding very worried and insecure.

"... I hope so.", Batman said with finality before swiftly turning from the hole and strides away.

...

"Where are we?", Flash groans as everyone slowly picked themselves up.

They all could hear the sound of gunfire in the distance.

"You're in WWII, right where you need to be.", a low warm voice echoed around them with bright flash of blue light.

They shielded their eyes from the flash, before lowering their arms to see a blue portal, and in front of it, floated a blue skinned man with a blue wispy tail, his eyes are blood red, and he had a black lightening-like mark run over his left eye and down to his cheek bone. He is wearing light purple tunic, a purple belt with a golden watch hung from it by a golden chain, his chest had a glass door, showing a working clock and pendulum on the inside, a dark purple tattered cloak with a black cog clasping it on his right shoulder and a deep hood, purple leather gloves that end just beneath his elbows with three watches wrapped around each arm, and in his right hand, he held a purple metal scepter with a stop watch held in the center at the top.

All of them knew, without a doubt, that this must be another ghost.

"Greetings all, I am the Master of Time known as Clockwork. Time has been messed with, and you six have taken upon yourselves to fix it.", he smiled warmly at them all, suddenly turning into a old man with a 'poof', causing many of them to jump in surprise, "I got to say though, not many would do that. I can see well, that young Daniel is in very good hands."

"Daniel, do you mean Danny?", Superman asked.

Clockwork nodded, "Yes."

He turned back into a young man when he turned to the portal, still open behind him, expectantly.

"Speaking of, he should be here by now.", the ghost mused as before cupping a hand over his mouth, "Danny, are you coming out yet!"

"Hold on, give me a sec! I'm almost done, I've got to finish this problem first.", a familiar voice shouted back.

Clockwork sighed good naturally, turning into a child with another 'poof' as he did so, "Kids."

He turned back to the portal, shouting once more, "I'm sorry to say that we don't have the time Danny! Come on! Out you come!"

There was a sigh, and a small groan before.

"Fine~.", came the exasperated response, "But I don't think you understand, my friends have disappeared without a trace, my homework is due literally any second and-!"

Out stepped Danny staring at the others in shock as they did the same, for the Danny stepped out wasn't the Ghost King Danny they had met, but their Danny.

"And... they're all here. Why are they all here?", Danny states, mostly to himself before turning to the Master of Time floating beside him, "Clockwork, why are my no longer missing friends in WWII?"

"What are we doing here? What are you doing here?", asked Green Lantern in confusion.

Danny hitched a thumb over at the ghost next to him, "Clockwork brought me here. He sometimes sends me out through time to fix history and what not whenever ghosts try to interfere."

"That's happened before?", Flash scratched the back of his head.

"Yep.", Danny nodded, popping the 'p', "There was a ghost that tried to make the Wright Brothers crash on their first flight. But I managed to stop him and saved them and history. I'm even in the picture, albeit invisible, but I'm still in it."

"Woah...", Flash said in shock.

"You are just full of surprises, aren't you little brother.", Diana smirked.

"Sure am-! wait, what?", Diana just chuckled and gave Danny a bone crushing hug.

There are no words to describe the relief she's currently feeling as she practically crushes Danny's bones. Diana never noticed it before, but the lack of innocence the other Danny, the Ghost King, had, bothered her. It's so nice to see them, once again, twinkling in bright toxic green eyes. A bright light in his eyes despite the troubles he's surely still faced despite the difference between him and the other Danny.

Clockwork smirked before turning back to the others once Diana finally released Danny, who wheezed in relief for the freedom. Don't fight Diana, Danny made sure to make note to himself.

"When you've succeeded, I may be back, I may not. Only time will tell.", with one final grin and a spin of a clock's hand, Clockwork was gone.

"That one was... interesting.", Superman said thoughtfully.

"Anyone else was reminded of the Pandora ghost?", Flash asked curiously, "Because, like her, if I didn't know any better, I'd say Clockwork was Danny's dad."

"I'm right here you know.", Danny fidgeted, a little irritated that they were talking about this right in front of him.

"They do seem to act as his 'ghost parents'.", J'onn, of all people, agreed.

"Really? I'm right. Here.", Danny reiterated, his irritation showing a little now in his tone.

The League smiled and chuckled, Danny unable to help but join in with them. But their amusement and contentment were dissolved when a loud explosion echoed in the distance.

With Flash speed up a large wooden ramp made of rubble and made his way to a large opening at the top of the wall at the opposite end of the room.

"Great jumping Hera.", Flash breathed at the sight before him.

The others were quick to join him, Danny flew up, and floated above the others as they watched the battle beneath them.

A battle from WWII.

Author's Note:

I'm here! I'm here! I'm alive!

So sorry for how long it took for this to update. 'Savage Time' is a three parter and I was struggling with finding a suitable place to stop and end the chapter. At first, I continued writing from here, not wanting to end this chapter quite yet, but then I didn't like what came out and I realized that if I kept going the nextr chapter would be really short and I didn't want that, so I ended up deleting several pages and ending it here.

In other words, this should have been updated a while ago 😥😫. I'm so sorry, hopefully I can update the next chapter sooner. Meanwhile, I hope you've enjoyed this chapter.

Like how Clockwork made his appearance? What about Danny? Did you like what did with him in the changed world?

Once again, I'm so sorry, I'll try to bring out the next chapter soon. Be Your Best You! Bye!
