NOTE: I think what I love most about Dragon Ball is the slice of life aspect and the character interactions. Like, I love the fighting just as much as the next guy but sometimes the constant world ending plot back-to-back is too much. Dragon Ball Super filler arcs were honestly a blessing, and the new movie is also a blessing.

I do not own Dragon Ball Super or Dragon Ball Z

Enjoy and Review!

Chapter 14: Broly(Part 2)

Gohan, Krillin, and Oolong watched the scene from behind a few guards. "Woah, he looks amazing," Gohan said. Behind them Master Roshi was crawling on the ground, his head in pain after getting sober. Oolong came up to him and bashed him on the head with a large mallet.

"What was that for, pig!?" Master Roshi yelled.

"You said you wanted the pain to stop, so I just gave you some quick remedy," Oolong laughed.

"Your majesty! Your majesty!"

Everyone saw a lone soldier run up to Vegeta and kneel down to him. "The Legendary Super Saiyan has appeared on Planet Todokama!"

"What!?" Vegeta yelled.

"Really!?" Goku gasped.

"No! We already know Broly's the Legendary Super Saiyan!" Bulma yelled at him.

"Oh, right. Hehehe," Goku chuckled.

"Alright, I'm going to take care of this Super Saiyan freak right now," Vegeta started to march off. Broly began to follow him. "Broly, come with me!" He ordered.

"Doesn't seem like a good idea to me," Krillin said.

"Yeah, it looks more like a trap than anything else," Gohan agreed.

Trunks was quick to interfere. "Father, we have to collect more intelligence before we can act! It's too dangerous!"

"The only danger lies in standing against me! Broly, hurry up!" Vegeta and Broly walked out of the castle.

"Do you have to be such an ass?" Bulma sighed.

"Does it annoy you?" He asked.

"Of course, it does!"

"Then yes."

"ARGH!" Bulma shouted, frustrated.

"Father…!"

Paragas watched the two leave and slowly smirked.

"Yup, it's a trap. An obvious trap that Vegeta's walking into," Dende said.

"I can handle whatever the hell is thrown at me," Vegeta growled.

The spaceship took off for planet Tomokama, Oolong and the others watched the ship leave.

"He's taking off already? Vegeta's impatience makes me sick sometimes," Oolong said.

"What was that, pig?" Vegeta growled.

"N-Nothing! Nothing at all!" The talking pig scooted away even further to the back.

"That medicine you gave me really helped-Ugh! Except now I got a headache I can't shake!" Roshi complained.

"That's what happens when you get bonked on the head really hard," Yamcha laughed.

The scene changed to Trunks, Krillin, and Gohan flying around the planet. "Hey, Trunks, do you think this Legendary Super Saiyan really exists? It all seems really far-fetched to me," Krillin said.

"I agree with you, Krillin. But my dad doesn't and that's the problem," Trunks responded.

"At least you guys have the necessary brains to not immediately fall for it," Bulma was thankful that her son inherited her brains.

"And I don't?" Vegeta glared at her.

"No way! All someone has to do is mention some super powerful fighter to lure you and Goku into a trap!" Bulma yelled.

"Tch, that version of me may have fallen for it, but I wouldn't. It would take someone becoming the strongest fighter in the universe to get that idiot's attention," Vegeta pointed at Goku.

"The strongest fighter in the universe sounds so awesome! Do you think they exist?" Goku asked, interested.

"The strongest in this universe is the two of us, Kakarot. Minus Lord Beerus, of course," Vegeta added.

The three flew into a desolate and destroyed city that was located far from the castle. "No matter how you slice it this planet is pretty barren," Krilin pointed out.

"Those cities we thought we saw from space are nothing but ruins," Trunks said.

"I wonder why that Paragas guy would build his city in a run down place like this?" Gohan asked.

"Paragas brought Vegeta to a desolate planet for him to rule, while also leading him to his son, who is the Legendary Super Saiyan. If Paragas truly cared about the Saiyan race or Vegeta, then the planet would be bustling with life," Piccolo said.

"It's obvious that he has some sort of grudge against Vegeta's father, most likely for their banishment. But why go this far for a revenge plan? There has to be more to the story," Gohan pondered.

Krillin noticed something in the distance. "What's that over there?"

The three saw pipelines extending out of massive man-made craters. Multiple soldiers could be seen standing around the holes with smaller people doing the manual labor. "It looks like they're harvesting some kind of energy from underground," Trunks said.

"Why would they need to do that?" Gohan asked.

"A-Are those slaves!?" Videl gasped.

"Paragas owns a slave camp?" Gohan growled.

"If we weren't certain of this guy being evil, then we are now," Krillin glared at the screen. Everyone agreed with his words, not liking the idea of slavery at all.

Beerus and Whis were indifferent, things like this were something they've seen many times before.

"Wait, I got it! They send it to the palace; it's the only place I saw planets growing!" Krillin figured it out.

One of the elderly slaves fell to his knees, coughing, his grandchild was at his side immediately. "Oh no! Grandpa!"

"...I'm okay," He continued to cough. Gohan and the others touched down next to the two. The grandchild hurried to defend his grandfather.

"I'm sorry! We weren't goofing off, grandpa is not feeling too well," He apologized.

"It's okay, we're not your bosses or anything like that," Gohan said, kindly. "It seems kind of pointless to build anything on this planet."

"It is pointless! We were brought here after the Super Saiyan destroyed everything on our home planet!"

"Do you think that the planet that Goku went to was the one these people are from?" Dende asked Piccolo.

"It's possible, but that would mean Paragas had just now brought these people there. From the looks of it, it seems like they've been doing this for a long while," Piccolo responded.

The little guy tried to pick up a heavy object. "We work all day and they hardly feed us! Those Saiyans are heartless!"

"Not all Saiyans are heartless, right guys?" Goku turned to the other Saiyans in the room.

"Right!" Goten, Gohan, and Trunks agreed. Pan and Bulla gaggled in agreement with him.

Vegeta just sat with his arms folded and kept his gaze on the screen. Bulma nudged him with her elbow. "Why aren't you agreeing?"

"I don't have the right to agree. I haven't earned that," Vegeta answered.

A soldier came down the slope and kicked the child in the face. "Get back to work! Quit fooling around!" He took out a whip and started whipping the child's back. The grandfather tried to help his grandson.

The temperature in the room decreased by a considerable amount at the horrid act of slavery. The Z-Fighters wished they could jump through the screen and put an end to the violence.

Gohan answered the call and knocked the soldier away. "Stop it! You have no right to treat him like that!"

"Oh thank god, for your big heart," Videl gave Gohan a kiss on the cheek.

"That's my boy!" Chi-Chi shouted, proud of her son.

The guard blew a whistle, alerting the rest of the intruders. A mass of guards rushed down the slope to apprehend Gohan and the others. Krillin walked over to the guard that Gohan had taken down.

"If I was you guys, I wouldn't even think about taking on one of us," He smirked. The monk punched the air and the guards started cowering in fear.

"Wait, that actually worked!?" Krillin yelled, surprised. 18 pinched the bridge of her nose at the idea of that actually working.

Krillin laughed and started throwing more punches and kicks in the air, showing off his own prowess. Suddenly, Goku teleported right in front of him and took a punch to the face from Krillin.

Beerus and Vegeta fell into a fit of laughter at the sight of Goku getting punched in the face by Krillin. Almost everyone else joined the two in laughing.

Krillin gave Goku a shrug. "I told you to just stop popping up. Something like that might happen," He laughed.

"Daddy!?" Gohan exclaimed.

Goku fell on his butt, clutching his face in pain. Everyone was taken aback by Goku's sudden appearance on the planet.

"Goku, what are you doing here!?" Krillin asked.

"I'm not sure really, I was following a Saiyan's energy. What are you guys doing here?" Goku asked them. Krillin explained that they were following Vegeta who was told that he was to stop the Legendary Super Saiyan.

"Really? I guess King Kai talked to him too," Goku said.

"You're the only one he ever really talks to. He only talks to us whenever you're unavailable," Piccolo said.

"Really? I never figured it like that," Goku said.

"How good of you to come, Kakarot or as you now prefer to be called, Goku," Paragas entered the scene.

"How would he know that's my name?" Goku asked, confused.

Vegeta huffed in his seat. "He had to have been spying on us prior to this, because he shouldn't have been able to know exactly where to look for me otherwise. Then there's something else about him that makes me uncomfortable…I just don't know what…"

"Makes you wonder just how many beings out there might be spying on us, ya know. It seems as if we're constantly the epicenter of the universe for some reason," Gohan said.

"What if he heard about you through the remnants of Frieza's army? Since you guys are the ones who beat him on Namek and then he wasn't heard from again after being killed by Trunks. What if he just put the clues together and came to the conclusion that you could still be on Earth?" Bulma theorized.

"It's not impossible, but to have done all of this just to kill me to get back at my father. There's more to the story that we aren't seeing," Vegeta said.

Goku got to his feet, glaring at Paragas. "Hey! How do you know that name!? You must be a Saiyan!"

"Did the tail not tip you off?" Vegeta rolled his eyes.

"Yes, you must be Bardock's son," Paragas said. Goku didn't respond and only stared at the darker Saiyan.

"Who? Do you know who that is, Vegeta?" Goku asked.

"Obviously, as he said, that's your father. Also no, I don't know who that is. I don't know the name of every low-class Saiyan," Vegeta answered.

"Alright," Goku shrugged his shoulders and turned back to the screen.

"Now, would our guests like to have some dinner?" Paragas offered.

Goku's mood changed immediately. "Are you kidding!? That sounds fantastic!"

Everyone fell over at Goku happily accepting Paragas' offer for dinner.

"I forgot that the other way to get Goku's attention is through his stomach…" Bulma sighed.

"Of course he'd just forgo any suspicion for food," Piccolo facepalm.

"Hey, if someone offers me food then they can't be that bad," Goku defended himself.

"You're saying Paragas isn't bad?" Piccolo questioned.

"Well, obviously, I know that he's not a good person. But that other me doesn't know that," Goku answered.

The scene changed to Oolong and Roshi happily eating dinner, while Goku continued to wonder who the Legendary Super Saiyan could be. He only began to eat when Oolong threatened to eat his portion of the meal.

In the slave house Gohan, Trunks, and Krillin talked to the Shamoians. Trunks asked them if it was Paragas who had destroyed their home world. The children responded that it wasn't Paragas who had done it, but someone who was a lot bigger.

"Broly's pretty skinny, I don't see how they could think that," Videl said.

"To them Broly would look like a giant," Gohan said.

"It could be Broly, but that guy's a toothpick. Maybe, Paragas is telling the truth, if the Legendary Super Saiyan exists then we may have a lot of trouble on our hands," Trunks said.

"Oh come on! You can't judge a book by its cover, Trunks! The suspicions are all there!" Bulma cried out.

"Broly's appearance is the perfect way to keep everyone off his trail until it's too late," Piccolo grumbled.

The scene changed to a separate chamber in the castle. "Yes! Yes! You're right on target, Comet Kamori, come and get us! Destroy us!" Paragas laughed.

"Comet Kami?" Goten tilted his head, confused.

"No, Goten, Comet Kamori!" Trunks corrected him.

"OH! What does that mean?" Goten asked.

"It means that Paragas brought all of them to a soon to be destroyed planet!" Piccolo exclaimed.

"Wait, but he said 'us', does he want himself and Broly to die too? Or just Vegeta?" Yamcha asked.

"I don't think he cares as long as Vegeta dies," Tien answered.

The soldier that was accompanying him told Paragas that he was afraid. Paragas told him not to fear that the comet was quickly approaching. The banished Saiyan lifted his palm at the soldier, it illuminated green as he vaporized the poor guy.

"There was no need for that," Goku glared at Paragas.

"I wonder how Paragas even recruited these guys," Krillin said.

"Most likely threatened to have Broly destroy their worlds if they didn't comply with him," Vegeta answered.

The spaceship touched back down on the planet. The scene shifted to a pissed off Vegeta walking into the castle, Broly and Paragas right by him.

"How am I supposed to destroy this thing if you can't even tell me where it is!?" Vegeta yelled at him.

"We're working as hard as we can! Around the clock!" Paragas explained. The two walked through the corridor, where Goku was sitting on a window.

"Hey, Vegeta!" Goku greeted him.

"I don't remember seeing you on the guest list," Vegeta smirked.

"Did you just make a joke?" Bulma made a disgruntled face.

"Is there a problem with that?" Vegeta asked, offended.

"Yes, you suck at it," Bulma replied.

"Tch! You just don't appreciate good humor," Vegeta huffed.

"Oh, come on, Vegeta! Not like you're having any luck finding the Super Saiyan," Goku said.

"It won't be long until we catch him and when we do, he'll be mine and he's dead!" Vegeta declared. He walked away from Goku. "Stay out of my way, Clown!" Paragas followed after him, but Broly stopped to look at Goku.

"Well, I'll see you around or something," Goku chuckled. He turned around to see Broly glaring at him with hatred. Goku got to his feet to meet Broly's eyes, the taller Saiyan's body was trembling with hidden fury. The gem on Broly's forehead started to glow as his power continued to rise.

Everyone's suspicions could only grow at Broly's reaction to meeting Goku as if there was something more to be seen here than they know.

"Behave, Broly…" Paragas whispered. He lifted his hand, holding a golden bracelet with a green gem on it. The gem glowed brightly, trying to keep Broly's power under control. Goku and Broly continued to stare each other down as Paragas tried to keep Broly under control.

Suddenly, Roshi and Oolong came charging into the scene. The old man demands Paragas to take him back home, as he waves Oolong around by his ears.

"This is why you need to stay at home, Master Roshi," Turtle sighed.

"Shut up, Turtle!"

Goku takes his eyes off Broly for a quick second. "That's Roshi!" Before quickly placing his piercing gaze on Broly again.

Broly's temperament calmed down, ending the tension of the meeting between the two.

"That was…tense. Like, what the heck is his deal!?" Videl yelled. Broly's entire demeanor changed just by looking at Goku.

"Like, we've suspected before there's something more to these two. Paragas' hate for Vegeta and Broly's sudden hate for Goku," Bulma said.

Vegeta rubbed his forehead at the thought. "Kakarot's insane ability to make people hate him is going to cause trouble again."

"What is that supposed to mean?" Goku asked, confused.

"It means that in some way shape or form, almost any problem we face is because you've constantly gained the attention of someone insanely powerful. It's as if the universe revolves around you," Vegeta explained.

"That's silly Vegeta, the universe can't revolve around me. I'm not in space," Goku laughed.

"You goddamn moron…" The Prince sighed.

The scene changed to Paragas sitting inside of a lab, testing something. A little squid creature entered the room. The two were testing to see if the remote Paragas was using to control Broly was working properly. The scientist was telling him that the remote was working properly, saying that Broly is acting out on his own.

"If that remote was created to control him, then it might just be that Broly is becoming too strong to control. That seeing Goku may have made things worse," Dende said.

Paragas left the lab and stood outside of the door. "Broly…what's wrong with you, my son? There must be an answer. Something must be disturbing him, interrupting my control. His Saiyan rage flared when he saw Kakarot. These outbursts have to stop, especially in front of our visitors. If not, all my efforts will be in vain."

What was shown next was a flashback of a younger Broly losing control and destroying multiple civilizations. A younger Paragas attempted to stop him every time, but the older Broly got, the harder it became to keep him under control.

A lot of the audience was distrutbed by Broly's insane laughter as he slaughtered millions of people without remorse.

Goku furrowed his brows at the scene. "He reminds me of Evil Buu, all of the senseless violence just to achieve absolute chaos," Goku said.

"Power such as that is dangerous in the hands of someone so young. If not handled properly, it could lead to a situation like Broly," Whis said.

"Do you think our version of Broly is anything like that?" Goten asked.

"We won't know until we meet him, Goten," Gohan responded.

Paragas' narration was heard over the flashbacks. "He was a true warrior, born with a strength that would make most Saiyan fathers proud. But there was something far darker about him…violence, threatening, and in time it began to scare me."

Paragas was seen standing over a sleeping Broly with the power suppression device. "I had no choice but to have a scientist create a device to control his power." When Broly awoke to seeing his father placing the device on him, he freaked out. The mad Saiyan tried to kill his father, but Paragas used the device to get him under control quickly.

"I wonder what was used to create a device like that…" Bulma said to herself.

"That day almost ended in death, but ultimately gave birth to an idea. By controlling Broly's power, I can control the universe! No one could stand in our way!"

"So, he went from wanting to protect his son from his own powers to using him like a weapon," Videl glared at Paragas.

"Father of the Year, right there," Krillin said with sarcasm.

The scene changed back to the present with Paragas entering Broly's chambers. The taller Saiyan was sitting on a chair, struggling to control himself. "Something got to him…someone. I could barely control him in front of Kakarot," He glanced down at the remote and realized something. "Wait a second!? Could that really be it!? They were born on the same day!"

"WHAT!?" Everyone shouted, shocked.

Another flashback started, showing two incubators next to each other. One of them held a baby Broly and the other had a baby Goku. The baby Goku was crying endlessly, disturbing Broly.

"If this wasn't such a serious moment, then I'd say you look adorable," Chi-Chi sighed.

"Woah! Even as a baby, dad looked just like me!" Goten exclaimed.

Another Saiyan's voice could be heard in the background. "Did you hear? Paragas' son was born with a power level of 10,000! 10,000 and only an infant! Makes Bardock's child look like a joke, what is he? Only at two?"

"That's such an astronomical difference between the two of you!" Bulma exclaimed.

"Two? Man, that's really low!" Goku realized.

"I'm surprised you were able to figure it out. Most Saiyans are classified where they'll end up based on their power levels at birth. With such a low level that you had it was very likely you were going to be sent off world or discarded," Vegeta explained.

"Heh, it's a good thing I was sent to Earth then, huh!?" Goku grinned.

Broly struggled to keep himself under control as Paragas' own anger at Goku was created. The darker Saiyan walked away, promising that his enemies won't be leaving this planet alive. Back inside of the room, Broly transformed into a Super Saiyan, but his form looked different. "Kakarot!"

"Woah! His Super Saiyan form looks completely different!" Trunks shouted.

"Do you think that's why he's called 'Legendary'!?" Goten asked.

In another part of the castle Oolong and Roshi were sleeping, with the old man holding Oolong's feet as if it was a woman. Licking Oolong's feet and then biting it.

"Keep your paws off me, old man!" Oolong cried.

Gohan and Krillin slept in the bed next to them, and across from them was a sleeping Goku. The Saiyan from Earth's eyes shot open as Broly busted through the door, pissed off. He attacked Goku in an instant.

"Did anyone ever teach that Saiyans some manners! It's rude to attack people when they're asleep!" Chi-Chi roared. How dare he attack her husband with their son in the same room.

Goku however, was grinning. "Guess it's finally time to see how strong Broly is!"

Goku jumped out of the way of Broly's attack, destroying the bed. Gohan and Krillin woke up, screaming when Broly tossed the broken bed at them. The mad Saiyan charged at Goku, forcing the fight outside.

"Broly, what are you doing!?" Goku asked as he flew away.

"He's attacking you, what do you think it looks like?"Beerus rolled his eyes.

Paragas woke up, hearing Broly screaming and the loud noises. He grabbed the remote and hurried outside to stop his son.

Broly smashed Goku through a wall, shooting his palm at Goku. The Earth Saiyan deflected the hit and backflip kicked Broly in the chin. "What's this all about!?"

Broly didn't answer and shot multiple emerald energy blasts at Goku. He dodged each one, and deflected the last one. It was sent sailing back to Broly, knocking the mad Saiyan through the forest.

Goku floated over to where Broly had crashed, to find the mad Saiyan floating above the lake water. Posing in a stance similar to Frieza.

"And not a scratch on him," Vegeta noted.

"It feels like he's barely even used his power. Just how much does he have!?" Goku asked, excitedly.

"Oh, man! His power just increased dramatically!" Goku noticed.

"Die, Kakarot! RAAAAHHHH!" Broly screamed and rushed at Goku. The orange Saiyan's leg met his face, but Broly was barely phazed. He even smiled, licking the blood off his lips, disgusting Goku.

"Okay, that's kinda creepy!" Goku exclaimed.

"Ew! Who just licks their own blood!?" Videl gagged.

Broly shot dozens of emerald blasts at Goku, destroying a large majority of the land around them. Goku punched him in the jaw, but once again Broly barely even flinched. He flipped over the mad Saiyan as Broly's anger continued to rise.

"T-That's the energy I was following!" Goku realized that Broly was the Legendary Super Saiyan.

"I can't believe Goku was the first to realize it…" Bulma sighed.

"Well, at least someone finally did," Gohan shrugged.

Paragas entered the scene with his remote, trying to force Broly to calm down. Goku also yelled for Broly to calm himself down. It eventually worked and Broly began to power down, turning back to base form.

"What?" Goku asked, shocked.

Broly and Paragas left Goku standing there.

"He's the one, the Legendary Super Saiyan."

"The only thing left is to tell the others and get the hell off that planet," Yamcha leaned back in his seat.

"No, because they still need to deal with Broly. This isn't over until he's dead," Tien reminded the ex-bandit.

"I know…I was just hoping for a simple ending," Yamcha sighed.

Chapter End

NOTE: If you were hoping for Goku to continue asking about Bardock, then too bad. You're just gonna have to wait till we get to his movie, but don't expect some emotional crap during it. Goku really couldn't care less about who his parents are, but he will learn about them.

When they watch History of Trunks nobody is going to turn against 17 and 18, because everyone in the audience is smart enough to understand that the future versions are completely different people. Dragon Ball Super even touched upon this when Trunks found out she was Krillin's wife. It would be completely stupid of me as a writer if I made them hate 17 and 18.

This is just not fun to write at all, like I'm not enjoying going through this movie at all. Most of it is just so damn boring and the parts that people actually give a damn about is just the final battle against Broly.

You're gonna have to wait a while for me to get back the motivation to keep writing this out, because I really don't want this to become an obligation. I want to enjoy writing this like I did when I started.

Have a great day!
