"Izuku, why won't you help me?" the voice asked, quietly.

I woke up and rubbed my eyes.

"That's the fourth time this week," I sighed. It's been three days since the alarm went off during lunch. The teachers were a little on edge afterwards but it wasn't too much so where I was worried, more so curious as to why they were on edge. I slowly made my way out of bed and after my usual stretches made myself a quick meal for breakfast. I made my way to UA and to the classroom.

"Hey Midoriya," Negi said, walking up to me.

"Hey Negi, how are you?" I asked.

"Honestly, I'm tired. I woke up late today," he admitted.

"Why?"

"My master visited me. He said something was near me but I don't know what."

"Ah, hey can you do mind spells?" I asked.

"I have a small mind reading spell, why?"

"I've been having strange dreams, I was wondering if you could read my mind and see it if you could help me figure out what it is," I explained.

"Oh, just think about the dream and I'll see what I can get from it," he said, putting his hand on my forehead. I felt a pulse and he recoiled slightly. "That's, um, I don't know," he said.

"It's fine, it's just a theory," I said.

"Alright, quiet down," Mr. Aizawa said, walking in. "Good, you were quick. Today we will be going to an off campus location so we will be leaving immediately. You can choose if you want to wear your costumes or not but you aren't used to them yet so remember that in your decision. Bakugou, the old lady said you are good to use your quirk but to not over do it. Also the gauntlets have been removed from your costume. Go meet me out at the athletic grounds," he added, walking out.

I grabbed my case and changed into my costume. I met up with most of the class and Mr. Aizawa as a bus was pulling up.

"What kind of training are we doing?" Pryde asked.

"Rescue training," Mr. Aizawa said, holding up a card reading Rescue.

We loaded on the bus with me sitting next to Negi and Rachel.

"So, what's the difference between your quirks, they're both magic ones right?" I asked.

"Yes, the biggest difference would be how we cast the spells. I need different incantations," Negi said.

"While I just need to imagine what I want to happen and use a single incantation," Rachel said. "I'm more constricted on what I can do."

"While I'm constricted to how many spells I can memorize, that's why I have my notebook," Negi said.

"Wow, that's really interesting. I wonder if there's a chance someone can use two types of magic quirks similar to other people with dual quirks?" I asked myself.

"I don't know if that is possible or not," Negi said. "I'll have to ask my master next time I see him."

"I've been meaning to ask, who is your master?" I asked, curious.

"Um, he's an international hero. I'm not sure I'm allowed to say though," Negi said, getting quiet.

"It's alright, I don't need to know but was just curious."

"Man, being trained by a hero is amazing. You'll make an amazing hero I bet," Kirishima said. "I won't make too much of a presence with my hardening," he added, dejected slightly.

"I don't think so, it's perfect for a hero," I countered. "You'll be in the top twenty by the time we're full pros with how strong it is."

"Thanks, but if we're talking power then I'm nothing compared to you, Todoroki, Bakugou, or Negi," Kirishima added.

"Well, Bakugou won't be a popular hero since his personality is like burning trash in a sewer," Kaminari said.

"The hell you say dunce face?" Bakugou yelled.

"Eh, I'd compare it more so to an angry pomeranian with small dog syndrome," Rose said, looking at him.

"Sounds about right," Belladonna agreed.

"Fight me!" Bakugou growled.

"Wow, he actually growls like a dog too," Tokage joked, grinning.

"Alright, quiet down. We're here," Mr. Aizawa said, stopping the bus.

We all unloaded to see a ginormous domed building made of mostly glass. It looked almost as big as the main building at UA. As we walked up I could feel that something was off. We walked in and Mrs. Fukihara was standing there with a person in a space suit.

"Ah, it's Thirteen, the rescue hero!" Uraraka exclaimed.

"Hello, as you heard I'm Thirteen. This is the Unforeseen Simulation Joint that I had built to help with rescue training," they said, motioning with a gloved hand. "Before we begin I have a thing to tell you, or two, or three," they said, getting a little lost. "Anyways, my quirk Blackhole allows me to destroy debris and get people out of sticky situations. However it is extremely dangerous and very possibly could kill if I chose to use it that way. I want you to think if your quirks will actually be useful in the situation you are in and if it might be better to just not use it in order to keep people safe. That's all I wanted to say," the finished.

Yeah, a lot of quirks are very dangerous, I thought looking at Bakugou who's face faltered slightly.

"Now then," Mr. Aizawa started.

"What's that?" I asked, looking at a purple mist forming in the center of the area below us.

The mist grew larger and people started coming out.

"What's going on?" Jirou asked.

"Is this part of the lesson, I thought we were doing rescues," Kaminari said.

"No," I said, looking at the teachers all preparing. "This is real. Those are actual villains."

"Thirteen, do us a favor and keep the students safe," Mrs. Fukihara said.

"We'll take care of them," Mr. Aizawa said, the two of them jumping down and starting to take villains down.

"Let's go, Kaminari, can you use your antenna to contact anyone?" Thirteen asked, ushering us out.

"No, just static," he said.

"Excuse our incompetence," a man said as the dark mist appeared before us. "We are the League of Villains and have come here with one goal. To kill the Symbol of Peace All Might."

"Y-you can't be serious," Ashido said, backing up a bit.

"He doesn't seem to be here but I will do my job," he said as the mist flowed over us and we started to go through.

"He's a teleporter!" I shouted before falling onto a rocky surface.

"Midoriya?" Jirou asked, getting up next to me.

"Ow, that hurt a lot," Rose complained, leaning up. "Where are we?"

"Still in the USJ," I said.

"Look boys, some pretty girls for us to play with," a low voice growled. We all turned to see a bunch of villains approaching us.

"Are you two good to fight?" I asked, getting in a fighting stance.

"Yeah," Rose said, pulling a small tanto blade from her back.

"Let's do this," Jirou said, putting her fists up.

"Iron Smash!" I yelled, leaping and punching the biggest guy there in the gut knocking him to the ground. "Cobalt Smash!" I screamed, uppercutting another villain.

I kept fighting villains and I looked to see red rose petals flying around a bunch who kept getting cuts. I then heard a loud bass sound and noticed the speakers on Jirou's feet which she was using to distort the villains. The last one finally fell after what felt like hours even though I knew it was only minutes.

"Wow, I'm pretty tired," Rose sighed.

"Same," Jirou complained, plopping on the ground.

"Sorry about this kid," a voice said as Ruby screeched. I looked up to see a villain with his hand around her throat. "Now, let's just stay still and calm and I won't fry her brains out," the man chuckled.

Crap, I have to do something but what?

"Looks like you're in a pickle," a low voice said in my head.

"We can help though," a slightly higher pitched voice said.

"So, how are you going to help me?" I asked, turning around as I entered the black smoke scape to see three men in front of me. The first was a tall bulky man with dark brown hair and a leather jacket. The second was a tall thin person with a slight afro and dark skin. The last one was a plain looking man with a plaid shirt and glasses. He was medium height with brown hair.

"I'm Eddie Brock, the eighth user," the first man said.

"I'm Miles, the seventh," the second said.

"Hello, I'm Peter Parker, the sixth," the last one said. "All of us at one point held the mantle of the hero Spider-Man," Peter explained.

"That explains why your quirks were similar with each adding their own ability," I said, recognizing the name Spider-Man.

"We don't have too much time so we'll just get to the point. My quirk is Spider Climb, it allows you to climb any surface no matter the degree of the angle," Peter said.

"My quirk is Bio-Electricity. You can use it to discharge electricity and knock people out. You can also go invisible if you want to by doing something to the molecules. You'll understand when you first do it," Miles said.

"And finally mine. Mine's called Venom, you can shoot webs out of your wrists and they can hold a lot of weight and force. You can also cause a black slime substance to cover your body as either a slim protective layer or a bigger one that increases your strength at the cost of speed," Eddie said.

"I can see why I got your quirks," I said. "Thank you," I added, turning to go back to reality. I then shot a web at the man's face causing him to let go of Rose and recoil. "Time to sleep," I said, charging him.

"Try this," he said, causing electricity to shoot out of his body around him.

"Ah," I said, stopping as I came into contact with the bolts. "Huh?" I asked, looking at my arms as green lightning encased them. I then shared a look with him before punching him in the face knocking him out.

"How did you do that with the web and the electricity?" Jirou asked, obviously panicked.

"I honestly just did it on instinct, it's like something in me told me what to do," I said, trying not to lie nor the full truth.

"Kinda like the slime?"

"Yeah," I said, looking at Rose. "Hey, are you alright?" I asked, kneeling down next to her.

"I-I c-could have died," she said. "I-I w-was r-right on the e-edge of d-death."

"Hey, look at me," I said, putting my hand on her shoulder. She looked at me, her eyes wide and wet with tears. "You're alive, that's what matters. We're going to get out of this and you're going to see your girlfriend Belladonna and the two of you will be happy. Alright?" I asked.

"Y-yeah, thank you," she said, giving me a hug.

"No problem," I said, looking at Jirou. 'Help' I mouthed.

"Let's get to the entrance," Jirou said, smirking and giving me a nod.

"R-right," Rose said, letting go and appearing next to Jirou in a cloud of rose petals.

"You two go, I'm going to help Mr. Aizawa," I said, looking at him being beaten and bloodied by a large black beaked creature with an exposed brain.

"You're shitting me right?" Jirou asked.

"I can't sit down and do nothing," I said, feeling a crawling sensation on my skin as I got bigger.

"M-Midoriya?" Rose asked.

"I'll be fine. Jirou, keep her safe," I said, leaping down. "Venom Smash!" I yelled, punching the beast off of Mr. Aizawa.

"Midoriya, of course you would do this problem child," he sighed.

"Sorry Mr. Aizawa," I said. "I had to help before you got hurt too badly."

"What, why do they have a second tank?" a man with blue-grey hair and hands on his body asked. "Nomu, take out this knock off version of you," he said.

The creature got up and charged me. I jumped over him as he went past me and into the wall. I then webbed him up.

"Stay," I said.

"That won't be enough to stop him," the hand man said.

The creature broke free and charged me again.

"Venom Smash!" I yelled, punching the creature in the chest with a full strength punch but it just stood there.

"Ha, Nomu has shock absorption," handy said.

"Shock, thanks for the idea," I said, leaping and dropping the Venom-Suit. "Venom Shock," I said, punching the exposed brain with an electrically charged fist.

"Ahhhhrrrk!" Nomu gave an ear piercing screech before collapsing.

"Nomu, what are you doing, get up and beat that brat," handy said. "Nomu?"

"It's out cold," I said. "Guess it wasn't fully shock proof."

"Grr, no, nononono. He was supposed to take down All Might. We weren't prepared for a rogue paladin npc. Hrmm, maybe killing some kids will summon him," he said, looking to the other side dashing. I watched as he put his hand on Tokage's face and nothing happened. "You really are amazing aren't you Eraserhead?"

"Heh, I try," Mr. Aizawa said, looking at the man while holding a villain down with his scarf.

"True Iron Smash!" I yelled, jumping at the man punching him with as much force as I could muster just for a portal to open and my hand to go through.

"Don't Fear! Why, Because I AM HERE!" All Might announced, busting through the entrance with a scowl on his face.

"Shigaraki, we should leave," the mist man said, forming at the portal as I pulled my broken arm back.

"Grrr, damn it. Let's go Kurogiri," the named Shigaraki said, walking through the portal.

"Well, that was something," I said, turning and noticing my vision blur before collapsing.

"I got you green," I heard a voice say as my vision went black.

"Izuku, please, I need you," a familiar voice called out.

"How?" I asked.

"I need you to find me. I'm in the house," the voice said.

Beep beep, beep beep, beep beep

I opened my eyes to see a familiar sight.

"About time you wake up," Recovery Girl grumbled.

"Why did I collapse?" I asked.

"Combination of exhaustion and breaking your arm. Luckily Tokage girl caught you or you could've broken more," Mrs. Fukihara said, her voice slightly annoyed.

"It could be worse," I said, leaning up to see the two of them, All Might deflated, the principal, and a man in a suit with a trenchcoat and hat. "Um, is everything alright?"

"Well, after the attack we started contacting parents," All Might said.

"When we tried calling your house no one answered so I went to talk to your dad, but no one was there. I looked around and noticed that there was only enough food for one person," Mrs. Fukihara said.

Oh no.

"Oh no indeed kid," Eddie said in my mind.

"Mr. Midoriya, tell me, when was the last time your dad was home," the principal asked.

"A few days ago. He got called on another business trip," I lied.

"Can you tell us the truth?" the man asked. "I'm Detective Tsukauchi, my quirk lets me tell when someone lies or not so remember that when you answer."

"Six years ago when he got custody after my mom was killed in a villain attack. I've been living on my own and he sends me a check for food every week," I said.

"Did you know that was illegal?" the detective asked.

"No," I said.

"Well, your father will be arrested, and with this crime in particular you would be put into the foster system but there are a few other options," he explained, looking at Mrs. Fukihara.

"I'll go ask but you should know the answer," she said, smiling slightly as she walked out.

"Um, what is she talking about?" I asked.

"You know how heroes have certain legal powers?" All Might asked.

"Yes," I said, confused.

"One of those powers are to take guardianship of children like yourself," Mrs. Fukihara said, walking in. "And after a quick discussion I am using that power, as of now I am your legal guardian," she added.

"R-really?" I asked, feeling a mixture of hope and something I couldn't explain.

"Actually, if you're good to head out, we can also get some stuff from your house before going to your new home," she added, a sincere smile on her face.

"He's free to leave, just don't over do it on your week off," Recovery Girl said.

"Week off?"

"Did you think there wouldn't be a break after an event like that?" the principal asked.

"I guess it makes sense," I admitted.

"Get out if you're going to just talk," Recovery Girl said, holding her cane up.

"R-right," I said, getting up. I made my way to the locker room as I was still in my costume.

"Midoriya," Belladonna exclaimed as I almost ran into her turning a corner.

"O-oh, s-sorry," I said, scratching the back of my head.

"I actually wanted to talk to you really quickly. Ruby told me that you not only saved her but helped her with her panic attack. I wanted to thank you for helping her while I wasn't there," she said, giving me a hug. "If you ever need something, don't be afraid to ask," she added, pulling away. "Also, you can call me Blake," she said, walking away.

I went and changed and met Mrs. Fukihara at the entrance while she was in her civilian clothes. We rode the train to my apartment and I packed a bag with some clothes, my laptop, and my hero notebooks.

"That's all you're grabbing for now?" she asked.

"I can get the rest later," I said.

"Alright, you're about to learn something that isn't public knowledge," she said.

"Don't say it like that Nari, you'll make him think that this is top secret," Midnight said, walking in.

"Come on Nem, I just wanted to mess with him a bit," Mrs. Fukihara said, breaking her serious demeanor.

"Um, what?" I asked, visibly confused.

"It isn't a secret per se, but the two of us are married. We just don't make a public showing of it," Midnight said.

"Really? So you know about the Will then Mrs. Midnight?"

"You can just call me Nemuri or Kayama since I'm your guardian now, and yes I know all about your quirk," she said, smiling.

"O-oh, alright then," I said, slightly stunned.

"Also, yes, you can take the train here tomorrow and grab some stuff and then I can drive you back with what you grab," Kayama explained.

"Alright," I said, looking around and making a mental list of what I should grab.

"I guess you could call me Nari if you wanted. Now, if you're ready let's hop in the car," Fukihara said, walking out.

I followed and we all loaded into a small black car. Kayama drove for a bit until we got to a two story house in the Kanagawa prefecture. We got out and they led me up and we walked into a small foyer with an open space leading to a living room and dining room. I could see a doorway leading to what I assumed was the kitchen.

"Um, where will I be staying?" I asked.

"Upstairs, I'll show you," Kayama said, leading me up. I followed her but stopped when a cat brushed up against my leg. "Oh, that's Kuro, he has a quirk and we've been thinking of training him to be a Hero Companion but haven't gotten the chance. We have a couple of other cats too," she said.

"Hello," I said, bending down and petting the two tailed cat.

"Mrow," he said, brushing against my hand.

"Are the two tails his quirk?" I asked.

"No, he has a demon form and he also tends to get into fights already so this would serve as a way to let him fight while also keeping the other cats safe. This room will be yours," she said, pointing to a door right at the top of the stairs. "The bathroom is across the hall and our room is at the end. We also have an office on the other end," she explained.

"Th-thank you. Not just for taking me in but giving me something I haven't had in a while from an adult," I said.

"What's that?" Kayama asked.

"A connection. I've always been seen as an outcast being quirkless and most adults wouldn't talk to me unless they had to. My mom was my only adult connection and when she died, I was truly alone," I said, my cheeks getting wet with my tears.

"Izuku, that's something that no one should ever go through," she said, pulling me into a hug.

"Mow!" a cat announced, jumping onto my head. I knew it wasn't Kuro as this one was lighter.

"Pfft," Kayama giggled, pulling away a bit to look at the cat on my head. "Looks like Chomusuke wanted to cheer you up," she said.

"Chomusuke?" I asked, confused at the childish name.

"The little girl we got him from named him and he won't answer to anything else. It's quite the fitting name," she said, picking him up. I looked at the tiny cat with a red cross on his forehead as he started to bat at Kayama's chest. I quickly looked away. "I never understand why he likes to do that," she giggled, putting the cat down. "Nari or I will call you down for dinner at some point," she added, walking down stairs.

I went into the room that would be where I would be staying and saw that it was around twice the size of my old one with a desk, dresser, bookshelf, bed, closet, and a small lounge chair. I put my bag down and fell to the bed crying out of happiness for finally having people who cared about me in my life again.
