"Alright, today for Heroics we're going to go to Ground Gamma, get changed and meet us there," Nari said, walking in just to walk back out.

I got up and grabbed my case and followed the girls to the changing room. I was the last to enter and tried to hide in a corner.

"Dang Kayama, that's what you bought?" Ashido asked.

"Huh?" I asked, slightly turning to see her only in a bra and panties. I then looked down to see that I was wearing the forest green panties that were mostly laced. "O-oh, w-well you know I'm living with the R-18 hero right?"

"I guess that makes sense, but um, you realize you don't have a bra on right?" Ashido added, her cheeks tinted lavender.

"Sorry, didn't take you as a person to complain about a free show," I said, turning around as I put my sports bra on.

"Wow, didn't know you could tease like that," Tokage said.

"I didn't either. I guess it's what happens when I feel comfortable in my own skin and have to deal with Midnight almost twenty four-seven," I said.

"Hrmmm," Hina whined. "I was hoping to get a little show."

"Grk, Hina!?" I exclaimed.

"Huh?" Blake asked.

"Remind me to not bring my sword in anymore," I said.

"Why?" Jirou asked.

"Hina was just whining about not getting a little show," I sighed. "I didn't know my sister was a pervert."

"Hey, normally the only girl I get a chance to see is you and that's a little weird. Can't I get something?" Hina asked.

"Anyone know the way to Mount Doom?"

"Hey, you wouldn't destroy me for being horny because I've been trapped in a sword for years," Hina said.

"I can send her to another dimension," Rachel offered.

"I might take you up on that later," I admitted.

"Hmph, it was meant to be a joke that was only slightly honest," Hina pouted.

"How do I look?" I asked, turning in my new costume. It was all darker greens with black instead of white, I had a crop top in the same style as my old one, the pants were only to just below the knee with light armor in places, and red and black athletic shoes that were shorter than originally so my calves were exposed. I then slung the katana onto my back.

"Wow, put some eyeliner and lipstick on and then it'll be perfect," Pryde said.

"Thanks, I'm actually still working on figuring out how to do that," I admitted. "I tried and Hina said I looked like a really bad hooker."

"We can help you later," Blake said.

"Alright, see you out there," I said, heading to Ground Gamma.

Eventually we all gathered up and Nari spoke up again.

"Alright, today you will be dealing with many enemies in groups of four. First group up is Kayama, Jirou, Rose, and Springfield. Line up at the door and you'll start," Nari said.

"Alright, let's do this," I said, standing next to Jirou and Negi with Rose on the other side of him.

The door opened up and we saw a bunch of the three pointers along with a bunch of Ectoplasms.

"Let's go!" I yelled, charging at the nearest three pointer and pulling my sword out. "Frozen Flame!" I yelled as Hina made the sword coated in blue flames that froze the whole bot.

"Woah, is that your sister's quirk?" Rose asked.

"Yeah," I said. "Watch out!" I added, shooting a web at an Ectoplasm clone behind her.

"Thanks, gotta focus," she said, turning and dashing at a large group of enemies.

"We should talk after this," Negi whispered, jumping by me.

"About my new 'magic' quirk?" I smirked, cutting down another bot.

"Yeah," he sighed, flying off while firing lightning arrows.

"Spider Smash!" I yelled, swinging at a large group of Ectoplasm clones knocking them all down. "Strike!"

"Bowling, really?" Jirou asked, blasting bots away with speakers on her boots.

"Why not?" I asked, jumping up and activating the Venom suit. "Venom Smash!" I yelled, punching a bunch of bots and clones. I then leaped up the side of a building and saw the last few stragglers. I leapt there and smashed most of them in my landing.

"Stop, you all did a good job. Come up to the viewing platform and we can assess your performance," Nari said over the speakers in the city.

I dropped the Venom form and followed everyone up to where the rest of the class was.

"Alright, first off what did you notice?" Nari asked the class.

"They didn't work together but still watched each other's backs," Blake said.

"Kayama kinda did a lot of the bigger groups while the others really only picked one off or separated them," Satou said.

"Both are viable ways to take down groups of enemies if you have the assistance. Now the next group will be Bakugou, Uraraka, Todoroki, and Kaminari," Nari said.

"Hey Mi-Kayama," Negi said.

"Let's go over to the back," I whispered, walking and leaning against the back wall.

"Master Strange told me you knew about magic and could use a bit of it as well as your sister trapped herself in a sword," Negi said.

"I assumed he would. So, what else did you want to talk about?" I asked.

"He requested that you joined Rachel and me in training with the other students that go here with 'magic' quirks," he said. "We do it after school in the old building. She knows you're coming."

"Alright, hopefully I'll be able to learn a bit of actual magic," I said, thinking about the possibilities.

"I look forward to seeing you there. Quick warning, she's not normal," Negi said, walking up as the second group came in.

I looked at the screen to see the whole field was frozen and everyone was looking at Todoroki.

"Well, I guess freezing all of them works," Nari said.

Slowly everyone got a chance to do the exercise and we went back and slowly as everyone started leaving I went to the teacher's lounge.

"Hello there, how was your day?" Nemuri asked, looking at me.

"Pretty good, Dr. Strange wants me to meet up with a couple of students who use magic here after school," I said.

"Oh, I know who he's talking about. Just don't join their group even if you are tempted to," she said. "But do try and learn from them."

"Alright," I said, confused at what she meant.

I went down and met up with Negi and Rachel as they led me to an old building. They led me in and we went up to the second floor where a group of people were.

"Hello there," the girl with crimson hair I saw before said. "I'm Rias Gremory, president of the Occult Research Club. I'm also the heir to House Gremory."

"Um, hello, I'm Izumi Kayama," I said.

"I know, Dr. Strange said you were coming. Let me ask you, what do you know about devils?" Rias asked me.

"Um, not much. I'm kinda new to all this magic and stuff," I admitted.

"Alright, well everyone here except Negi and Rachel are devils, or in your case have devil ancestry," she said.

"Wait, she has devil ancestry?" Negi asked.

"While it's faint, I could just barely sense it when you were male but now I can, I'd say it's on your father's side. What was your father's name?" Rias asked.

"Hisashi Midoriya," I said.

"Hmm, the name doesn't sound like any I know of from hell," Rias said.

"Could it be that he used a fake name?" a girl with periwinkle hair asked.

"It's possible. Oh, this is Nejire, my queen," Rias said, introducing the girl.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"I'm pretty sure she means they are dating," Hina said.

"We have what's called an evil piece in us. It's kinda like chess and gives us powers," Nejire said.

"I'm the King, Nejire is my Queen, Koneko over there," she said, pointing to a small white haired girl. "She's a Rook, Neopolitan is my Knight," pointing to a small girl with multi-colored hair holding a parasol. "And then my two newest members Ibara Sosaki my bishop, and Casey Todoroki my pawn," she said, gesturing to two girls one with vines as hair and the other looked like the female version of our classmate without the scar.

"Are you related to Shoto Todoroki?" I asked.

"He's my twin brother, we don't talk much," she said.

"Does that mean he's a devil too?" I asked.

"No, I made her one through reincarnation. I'm the only one who was born a devil," Rias said. "But, anyways, would you like to become one too?"

"Um, my mom said to say no if you asked," I said.

"I assumed Ms. Kayama would warn you but still wanted to ask."

"Awe, but I wanted another cute girl to have fun with," Nejire whined.

"You really need to work on phrasing," Casey said. "She meant to just have around."

"Thanks for the clarification," I said.

"You get used to it," Rachel said.

"So, originally this club was going to be exclusive to my preenage, but I've been requested to assist with hero students who use magic, but of course I had to accept. So, you all can go practice while I work with Izumi here," Rias said. Everyone but Rias, Nejire, and I left. "So, you only use magic to allow your sister to astral project right?"

"Yeah," I said, sending some Hina's way.

"Like this," Hina said, looking at them

"Aw, you look like an older version of Izumi-chan," Nejire cooed.

"Alright, now then what magic were you taught?" Rias asked Hina.

"Not much other than astral projection and fusing a bit of magic with my quirk. By the way my quirk allows me to coat a sword in flames of different colors and they do different things," Hina explained.

"Well, as a devil my magic is slightly different, but the concepts are the same so I can teach you some basics. Since you're a sorcerer, you don't have to do an incantation like me but you will be limited at what you can use," Rias said.

"Take me for example, my quirk lets me send waves of my stamina out but I also say I can use lightning with it as well and because there is no visible difference my quirk isn't a 'magic' one," Nejire said.

"Whereas mine is because mine give off magic circles, these are to summon certain things. Yours is too both because of what your normal quirk can do and because you can learn spells. The Sorcerer Supreme asked me to teach you to use a basic shield spell that will allow you a quick defense measure but not use too much energy," Rias explained. "After that I don't have anything I need to teach you, but you can still come after school to either hang out or train a bit more."

"Alright, so how do we get started?" I asked.

"Eager aren't we? It's quite simple, read this scroll and when you think you have it come to me," she said, handing me an old scrolled up paper.

"Thank you," I said, taking it.

"Nejire will lead you to a room you can practice in," Rias added.

"Come with me," she said, leading me out of the room and to an adjacent one with runes all over the walls.

"Woah," I said.

"That's a lot of runes," Hina agreed.

"It's to keep any wild magic from getting out. Practicing magic can be dangerous, good luck," Nejire said, leaving.

"Alright," I said, sitting down cross legged and unrolling the scroll. (I'm not going to explain all of this as it would take a whole chapter in and of itself and I don't feel like making a chapter for a single spell, if you don't like it fight me) After around an hour I figured out how to do it to the best of my ability. I walked back to the main room to see Rias sitting at the desk and Nejire was standing behind her giving her a shoulder massage. "Um, I figured it out."

"Really, it has only been an hour," Rias said, surprised.

"I think I have it at least," I said.

"Show me," Rias said, standing up.

"Alright," I said, putting my middle and ring fingers on my palms as two discs with an orange middle and red outline appeared.

"Nejire," Rias said.

"Alright," Nejire said as she threw a bolt of lightning at me.

"What?" I asked, putting my shields up to protect me. The lightning bounced off but the right one shattered. I then used the left to block a punch thrown by the girl that shattered. I then made a larger one with both my hands and held it up as it took four more blows from the girl before she stopped.

"Not bad. You really are a prodigy," Rias said, astonished. "If you want to learn any more magic or about your devil ancestry just come let me know and I'll do my best to help you. It could be that you descend from a High Devil House," Rias said.

"Alright, thank you for the help," I said, bowing.

"It was my pleasure," she smiled.

"That's cool, I can't wait until I get my own body back and can do magic by myself again," Hina whined.

"We'll figure it out, I promise," I said, determined to help my sister.

"Awe, look at you all determined and everything," she cooed.

"But Mount Doom is always another option," I added.

"Meanie, oh, do you think you can make Kuro your familiar today?" Hina asked.

"Maybe, we would need to talk to Nemuri and Nari and also get Principal Nezu's permission," I said.

"You are good," the principal said over the intercom.

"How did he know what we were talking about? I'm not doing astral projection," Hina said.

"I've given up at this point. Let's just hope we can do it," I said, walking into the teacher's lounge.

"Hello, so, what did you learn?" Nemuri asked.

"Just a basic shield spell, but I am free to go learn anything they are willing to teach me," I said.

"That's good, so what's the plan for the rest of the day? Nari won't be home until later to night," she said, grabbing her keys.

"I was thinking about maybe trying to get Kuro to be my familiar," I said.

"Oh, that is a good idea. I'll see if we can have someone there to help us," she said, pulling out her phone and sending a message. After a moment it dinged. "Strange said that he'll send Wong to help."

"That was fast," I said, getting in the passenger seat of the car.

"He said that he's been waiting for us to ask and that Wong would be the best since he was busy," Nemuri said.

"That's nice," Hina said. "What's his full name?"

"Wong."

"Just Wong?" I asked.

"Yeah, like Adele," Nemuri said.

"Really?" Hina asked.

"Yeah, again best not to question it," Nemuri sighed.

"Alright," I sighed.

The rest of the drive was passed with occasional conversations about nothing really important. When we pulled up to the house we walked in and I picked Kuro up and walked down to the small training pit in the basement and set him down.

"Ah, you must be the new sorcerer Stephen told me about," a bald man said, walking down. "I am Wong," he introduced.

"Izumi Kayama," I said. "So, how do I make Kuro my familiar?"

"Well, there's a few ways, but the best would be just a basic contract," Wong said. "Make a small magic circle on the ground like this," he said, holding a small piece of cloth with a circle with runes around it.

"Alright," I said, looking at it and focusing my energy on the ground. I watched as the circle began to form with an orange and yellow glow. I watched as Kuro walked into the middle.

"Now, you need to give an offering," Wong said.

"Offering, like what?"

"Anything that would please him."

"I got you covered," Nemuri said, coming down with a bowl.

"Is that sake?" I asked, smelling it from here.

"Silvervine sake, he loves this stuff," she said, handing me the bowl. I looked at Wong.

"Don't look at me, I'm not the one that said to give the cat alcohol," he said.

"Alright," I said, walking into the circle as it glowed brighter. "Wanna be my familiar?" I asked, Kuro setting the bowl down.

He looked at the bowl, then me, then back to the bowl before going up and drinking it. The circle dissipated and I felt something I hadn't felt before.

"Congratulations young lady, you now have a familiar," Wong said.

"Thank you," I said.

"Man, this stuff is so good," a small voice said.

"Huh?" I asked.

"No one said anything," Hina said.

"What's wrong?" Nemuri asked.

"Someone just said that something was good," I said.

"Ah, that is part of the bond of familiars. You can understand what your familiar says," Wong explained.

"Wait, I can understand Kuro now?" I asked.

"You can understand me?" the voice asked. I looked down at Kuro. "This is amazing," he said, jumping up into my arms.

"Can I just say that magic is bs at times," I sighed.

"Heh, you're still in the shallows. Just wait until you see what master sorcerers can do," Wong said. "Now, I shall take my leave as I've been away from Kamar Taj for too long already. Good luck in your future endeavors," Wong added, making a portal and leaving.

"This is going to be a fun thing," Hina said.

"It's going to be my way to be a better hero," I said.

"So, now I get to train and fight too?" Kuro asked, slowly getting bigger.

"Um, is this his other form?" I asked, watching as he grew and his two small nubs became full horns.

"Yeah, you can call this his battle mode," Nemuri said.

"Alright, let's see what you can do," I said, looking at Kuro.

"Alright!" he said, shrinking back down. "We need to go outside."

"Don't do anything dangerous," Nemuri sighed.

"I won't," I said.

I followed Kuro to the back yard and watched as he went back into his battle mode. He then picked me up with his teeth and tossed me onto his back.

"I can carry you places," he said. "I'm also stronger and faster than normal."

"This is amazing," Hina said from behind me.

"I agree," I said.

"Let's go!" Kuro said, running around.

"Let's not," I said. "Why don't we wait until tomorrow during class for you to show us what you got?" I asked.

"Alright," Kuro said, crouching as I slid off. He then shrank down to normal size.

"Should we tell them about us having Devil ancestry?" I whispered.

"Hmm, not yet," Hina said. "We should wait until we see if there's anything there."

AN-

So… a few things will be happening. Next chapter I'm jumping to the Festival, specifically the third round with the first two only being explained what happened and not saying it all as I can't think of a way for it to be interesting as full chapters. I've tried in the past and they just end up chunky and don't give much more information or feeling to the story. I've been writing them while writing this one and others and my friend who betas for me has said that they are drier than the Sahara Desert. And honestly, I'd rather watch a documentary on documentaries than read them and I wrote them. Anyway, thanks for reading, favorite, follow, comment, and kudos. Link Out!
