I made it to the third round. I thought to myself. I honestly feel like I cheated my way here but the Principal allowed it all so I guess not. I still can't believe they let me just ride Kuro for the first round. Then the second round, when we split into teams, Ashido, Tokage, Blake, and Rose were one so Jirou and I teamed up. I thought he might yell at me for using my Venom Form and causing the sludge to cover Jirou who was on my shoulders but he let it pass so I just jumped around the field. I thought back on my performance.
"Hey, Kayama," Jirou asked.
"Hey Jirou, sorry if the sludge kinda grossed you out," I said.
"It's alright, you asked me beforehand and didn't do anything weird so it's alright. Honestly it was more comfortable than it should've been," she admitted. "Anyways, I was going to ask you how you plan on fighting this Shinsou person?"
"Well, I won't be speaking that's for sure. Ojiro told me what his quirk does," I said.
"Well, what's the plan then?" Jirou asked.
"Try not to hurt him too much. His quirk is perfect for hero work, but it's not physical and I don't know how good he'd be in a fist fight," I said.
"You worry too much. Just let me fight him," Kuro said.
"No, remember I was told only the first round?" I replied.
"Still can't believe you can talk to your freaking cat," Jirou sighed.
"Should've seen the first time I understood him, I was so confused and then figuring it out in addition to his own quirk was fun," I said.
"Well, any tips for my fight against Blake?" Jirou asked.
"You both have enhanced hearing, but yours is stronger, however your jacks could throw her off balance if you can get a hit on her ears. Just be careful of her shadows, I don't think we've seen all they can do," I said, hearing Present Mic call me to the arena. "Let's do this," I said, walking to the entrance.
"First off we have Izumi Kayama! The girl with a magical quirk that we haven't see much of! Secondly we have Hitoshi Shinsou! The only Gen. Studies student who has made it this far and hasn't been one for the spotlight either. Today's matches will be judged by none other than our Principal Nezu!" Present Mic said.
Normally Midnight does the first years and he does the third years but I guess he wanted to make sure she wasn't biased I thought.
"The rules are simple, either incapacitate your opponent, knock them out of bounds, or unconscious. Also, for those with magic quirks, incantations won't be allowed, move names will be, however," Nezu said. "Now begin!"
"I guess that monkey boy told you about my quirk. Sucks, he was such an idiot to fall for it," Shinsou said.
"Hey, who are you to," I started before losing control of my body.
"I win," he said. "Now walk out of the arena."
Crap, crap, crap! I can't move! I thought.
"Well, this is quite the predicament," a voice said. I was surrounded by a familiar black smoke. "Hey, I'm the third user, Desmond Miles. I decided to help you. My quirk is Eagle Sense, however it's been called Danger Sense too," the tall boy with shaved brown hair wearing a white hoodie and jeans said.
"How does this help me?" I asked. "I'm kinda not in control."
"Fun thing is I can partially control your body while we are like this. Which finger would you rather have broken?"
"Really? Left pinkie I guess," I sighed.
"Alright, don't fall for it again," he said, fading.
I was back in the arena and I felt a blast of air from my left side. Yup, definitely broken from True Will. I thought.
"How? It should be impossible to get out!" Shinsou said.
I covered my mouth with some sludge so I couldn't talk as I walked up to him. I then put my fists up and locked eyes with him.
"Fine," he said, putting his up.
We fought and while I didn't actively use a quirk I could feel where he was going to throw a punch before he did so I dodged most of his punches while pushing him back.
"Shinsou is out of bounds, Kayama wins," Nezu said.
"Dang it," he said angrily.
"Good job, you need to come up with a cover if your quirk won't work," I said.
"Is that why you fought me without using yours?" he asked.
I was about to answer him when a pull in my head told me to not. I then gave him a knowing look.
"Sorry, couldn't help but try to make a fool out of you," he sighed.
"No, I wanted to make sure you got a chance to show what you were made of," I said. "I can't wait to see which class you get put in," I added, walking away.
I made my way to Recovery Girl and after a thump on the head and a quick healing I made my way up to the class and sat next to Jirou. I looked to see Nemuri holding the sword and Hina next to her wave at me. I did a small wave back.
"How did you break out?" Ojiro asked me.
"I focused all my power on my pinkie, the weakest part of my body if I had to guess, and it broke, snapping me out. Honestly it was a shot in the dark but it worked," I smiled. I noticed Jirou gave me an odd look.
"Woah, that's amazing," Ashido said.
"Let's watch Rose's fight," I said, looking at the arena as she walked up to a girl I recognized from Rias' group.
"Why did you lie?" Jirou whispered.
"What do you mean?" I whispered back.
"I can hear people's hearts, your's increased when asked about how and then when you answered it increased a bit more before going back to normal, a telltale sign of lying," Jirou said.
"I can't tell you fully but it's part of my quirk," I said.
"Alright, let's see what Rose can do," Jirou said, looking at the field.
"Now we have the speedster whose name is on the head, Ruby Rose of 1-A against the tiny helion Neopolitan of class 1-B," Present Mic said.
"Begin," Nezu said.
Rose dashed with her quirk but when she hit Neopolitan she shattered and appeared behind her. Rose quickly turned and punched the other girl in the face faster than she could react. Rose then grabbed her and threw her out of the ring.
"Ruby Rose wins," Nezu stated.
I watched as Ruby and Neopolitan walked in separate directions as Todoroki and Sero both went to get ready.
"So, who's going to win this one if you had to choose?" Jirou asked.
"Nothing against Sero, but with how Todoroki has been acting I'd say he's going to make this a quick match," I said, looking at them as they walked up to the platform.
"Begin," Nezu said.
I then watched as a glacier shot out at Sero encapsulating him. My danger sense went off and I grabbed Jirou and jumped back as we were in the front row that was stabbed with ice spikes.
"Thanks," Jirou said. "But um, can you let me down?"
"Huh?" I asked, realizing I was still holding her bridal style. "O-oh, sorry," I said, setting her down.
"No problem, I'd rather be carried than be turned into an ice kabob," Jirou said.
"Y-yeah," I agreed. That was a bit much even for him.
"Woah, I'd say he was boiling with rage, but with the ice I can't," Kuro meowed.
"Todoroki wins," Nezu said, unfazed.
"It's going to take a while for them to melt all this," I said. I then saw Endeavor looking at the glacier glaring at it. Why doesn't he help? I thought. I looked at Nemuri and saw her toss the katana into the air at me. I webbed it to me and unsheathed it as crimson flames covered it. "A bit too much wouldn't you say?" I asked Hina.
"Nah, it'll melt it quicker," she said, appearing next to me.
I looked at the principal who nodded as if he knew what I was thinking, who am I kidding of course he knows. Went up to the glacier and slid down it while the flame from the katana got larger and it melted the ice as I passed it. When I got to the bottom most of the ice was melted with just some chunks around the area outside of the ring.
"Thank you for that, Izumi," Nezu said.
"Y-y-yeah, th-th-thanks," Sero shivered.
"You know your sister can't help in the actual fights right?" Nezu asked.
"Yeah, Nemuri was holding onto it for me," I said, sheathing the blade.
"Just checking," he said.
I went back up and noticed Todoroki was glaring at me. I sat back down next to Jirou and looked up to see what match was next. I then watched the match between metal and hardening ending in a double knock out. They announced that at the end they would be deciding a winner through another means. The next match was the one that worried me.
"Negi can use his incantations can he?" Jirou asked.
"No, but I'm pretty sure he has a plan," I said, looking at him messing with a ring on his finger.
"What about the boy he's up against?" Tokage asked.
"I have no clue. Amadeus Cho, haven't seen much of him," I said, looking at the chinese boy walking on with a bracer on his arm with dials.
"There's no way you can beat Amadeus," a kid with no lips said from the 1B stands.
"I wouldn't write Negi out yet," I said, looking at the two in the ring standing across from each other. "He's been training with some of our upperclassmen after school with magic quirks. I've also seen him learning a couple of other things from them too."
"What are you talking about Kayama?" Jirou asked.
"O-oh, since we figured out my quirk was magic I've been training with them to train it," I explained. "I've only learned one thing that isn't part of the Vampiric quirk so we decided I have the Vampire quirk with a magic one."
"Woah, so you're like Todoroki?" Tokage asked, moving down to sit next to me.
"Eh, k-kinda I guess," I said. I then thought back to the conversation we had before the start of this event.
"Kayama, we need to talk," Todoroki said, walking past me.
"Alright," I said, getting up and following him.
"I need to ask you, are you human?" Todoroki asked.
"W-what?" I asked.
"Well, with all these powers I thought you might be a devil, like my father or my sister since she became a full one," Todoroki said.
"W-wait, Endeavor's an actual devil?" I asked.
"Well, he's a half and I'm a quarter, and since you know about them and use magic then are you?"
"N-no, at least, not a full one. One of my father's ancestors was one but I'm not a full one at all," I explained.
"Hmm, are you sure because the magic energy you give off is closer to my sister than my bastard father. Either way, there's more to it than that, your powers are more than just a quirk like mine, have you heard of quirk marriages?"
"Yeah, they were a big thing a long time ago," I recalled.
"Well, my father always wanted to beat All Might but knew he couldn't on his own so he paid my mom's family to marry her for her ice quirk. He kept having kids with her until the perfect combo came out, my sister and I. My two older brothers and older sister were forgotten by him while he raised my twin and myself. Then, Casey learned of our devilish heritage and when approached by a member of the house of Gremory took the offer even if she was a pawn. My father was enraged that she agreed to be under someone especially as a pawn so he started ignoring her. This was a month after he tossed my mother into a mental hospital for pouring burning water on my face," he said, touching his scar. "So, I don't care how powerful you are, I will beat you with my ice and not use his flames from hell."
"I have no clue what that's like, but you think that you can beat everyone with half your power. As a person who didn't get a quirk until recently I can't help but feel bad for you. I had no power and couldn't stop most, now I'm twice as powerful with a powerful quirk. If you think you can beat me with only half your power, then when we fight I'll only fight with one aspect of my quirk and no magic. I'll make you use your fire," I said, turning and walking to the stands.
I shook myself back to the present to see Nezu start the match. The chinese boy started to grow and become green as he became
"Is that the freaking Hulk?!" Kaminari asked.
"No, the Hulk is an American by the name Bruce Banner, he tried using gamma rays to increase his mental quirk to be a physical one but it turned his intelligence and made it so he lost all of it and grew to be a beast, but the difference is that he's not only smaller than the Hulk but also seems to still have his intelligence to a degree," I said, looking down at the two people in the ring.
"D-do you think Negi can have a chance against a Hulk like quirk?" Tokage asked, worried for the kid.
"He'll do fine. I've seen a move he's been working on and if it works right he'll be a force to be reckoned with. I'd doubt I'd have an easy time against him," I admitted.
"R-really?" Jirou asked.
"It's really powerful," Rachel said from the back.
"Alright boy, I'll let you withdraw or have the first move," Amadeus said.
"Your mistake," Negi said, sending four arrows of light at him.
"Think those can hit me?" Amadeus asked, leaping into the air and landing behind Negi while throwing a punch at him.
"Who said they were meant to?" Negi asked, spinning around while a single light arrow appeared in his hand before he grasped it. "Blazing Fist!" Negi yelled, punching Amadeus' stomach.
"Grrk," Amadeus grunted, being pushed back quite a bit.
"Amadeus Cho is out of bounds, Negi Springfield wins," Nezu said.
"Huh, I wasn't pushed back that far," Amadeus said, looking down to see that his enlarged feet were barely out of the line. "I forgot my body grew that much," he sighed, shrinking back down.
"It was a good match," Negi said.
"Woah, what was that punch?" Kaminari asked.
"He normally enhances his body but with both getting stronger naturally and enhancing his body he is stronger than before. So he decided to add a light arrow to a punch, making both hits at once and managing to do more damage than normal," I explained.
"Cool," Tokage said. "Well, wish me luck," she said, winking at me before walking out of our stands.
I just stared at the ring blushing. W-why did she wink at me? Does she like me? What should I do? I'm into women, wait am I a lesbian? I mentaly asked myself.
"So, do you think the pomeranian will win or Tokage?" Jirou asked.
"Huh? O-oh, well, Bakugou's arm while healed will still be his weak spot. As for Tokage, if she can manage to get a good hit on him she'll do fine, but his explosions can ruin her flying pieces if she isn't careful," I explained.
"Hmm, I'm not sure she can win," Ashido said.
"Why's that?" Pryde asked.
"Well, think about it. His explosions are aoe attacks, if he can get even some of her body with it she'll be at a disadvantage," Ashido explained.
"I hate to say it but I agree, she needs to keep a distance and attack when he isn't expecting. That'll be difficult in this small of a ring," I said, looking at the platform as they stepped on.
"Begin," Nezu said.
Tokage sent her arm at him in a bunch of pieces and he surprisingly jumped to the side instead of blowing them up. Tokage then pulled her arm back and I noticed what she did.
"Sorry about this Bakugou, but I'm gonna take the win here," she said, charging at him.
"Bitch," Bakugou said, putting his left arm up at her and his right back before releasing two explosions destroying the bicep she had left behind him that was attacking while she was hit by a stronger explosion sending her flying out of the ring and into the side of the wall. "Shit," he said, looking at his hand as it was discolored and twitching while blood flowed out of it.
"Bakugou wins," Nezu said, before getting down and saying something quietly to Bakugou causing him to freeze up a bit.
I watched as Tokage got put on a stretcher and was taken to Recovery Girl. Jirou, Rose, Blake, Ashido, and myself all got up and ran to the infirmary. We went in to see Tokage unconscious with some bandages on her.
"What are you doing?" Recovery Girl asked.
"We wanted to make sure she was good," I said.
"She'll be fine. She was smart enough to throw herself back out of the explosion so she only got some minor burns, the hardest hit was the wall as the explosion sent her farther than she wanted. Now get out!" she said, holding her cane up.
"Alright," we said, running out.
"Hey, Jirou, Blake, isn't your guy's match next?" Ashido asked.
"Crap, wish us luck," they said, rushing in opposite directions.
"So, who's going to win?" Ashido asked.
"Honestly, this is one of the two matches I have no clue about," I admitted.
"Really Izumi, no insights?" Rose asked.
"If Jirou gets a good hit on Blake's ears she has the advantage, but if she can't then she'll be at a disadvantage. Honestly it comes down to luck," I said, sitting in my seat.
"Hey, how is Tokage?" Pryde asked.
"Not too badly hurt, most of it was from hitting the wall," Ashido said.
"Good, glad Bakugou didn't seriously hurt another classmate," Sero said.
"Where is he?" Kirishima asked.
"I don't know, nor do I really care," I admitted.
"You got this Blake!" Rose yelled.
"Come one Jirou!" I yelled.
"Hey!" Rose looked at me.
"If you're cheering Blake on I'll cheer Jirou on. That way they both have someone," I said.
"Oh, alright," Rose said.
"Begin," Nezu said.
Blake took the initiative and charged Jirou while she just stood there. When Blake got close Jirou sent her jacks out and one found a perch in a shadow Blake made while the other shoved itself into Blake's ear causing her to stop moving for a moment while Jirou's other jack put itself in her ear. Jirou then ran up to her stunned opponent and shoved her off the platform.
"Jirou wins," Nezu declared.
"Woah, I never would've guessed Blake would be completely unable to move after that," I said.
"W-well, her ears are her weak spot in more than one way," Rose mumbed so only those around her could hear.
"Oh, I know what you mean," Ashido said, looking at Rose. "Well, time for me to win my match," she said, walking out.
"So, do you think Ashido is going to win?" Rose asked.
"Perhaps, I'm not sure what Todoroki's quirk is so I have no clue," I admitted.
"Ugh, that was embarrassing," Blake said, walking up to our seats.
"Sorry, I didn't know that would happen," Jirou said, looking at the other girl.
"Good job, both of you," I said.
"Thanks Kayama," Jirou said.
"Thanks," Blake said, rubbing her ears.
"Let's cheer Ashido on," I said, looking down at the ring.
"You may begin," Nezu said.
"Sorry about this," Ashido said, sliding towards Casey Todoroki.
Todoroki lifted her arm up and shot blue flames at Ashido's legs, freezing her in place.
"She has freezing flames too?" I asked.
"Ashido is unable to move, Todoroki wins!" Nezu said.
"Dang, that sucks," Jirou said.
"Wait, if she has freezing flames, does that mean she has hot ice?" Kaminari asked.
"I'm not sure that's how it would work," I said.
"Idiot," Jirou muttered.
"Well, guess it's time for my match part two," Kirishima said, heading out.
"What do you think they're going to do?" Jirou asked.
"Well, they've done many different things in the past. I'd guess an arm wrestling contest," I said.
"I'm glad I don't have to," Negi said.
"Well, let's get ready for the next round after this," I grinned.

So… for those who don't know who Desmond Miles is, he is from Assassin's Creed 2, Revelations, Brotherhood, and Assassin's Creed 3. I just want to state that she won't be getting the next quirk for a while. Also there have been several ideas and guesses about Izumi and Hina's Devil ancestry and I love all of them but none of them I've seen are right. This will be a development for later and be a big turning point for both Izumi and my plans. Here's something I wrote while having issues with this chapter, enjoy!
Negi-
"Whew, that was a little more difficult than I expected," I sighed.
"Hey, Negi," a voice said.
"Oh, hey Miyazaki," I said, looking up to see her and Ayase along with a couple of girls I had never met before. "Who are your friends?"
"I'm Konoka Konoe," the bubbly girl with long black hair.
"Setsuna Sakurazaki," the girl with spiky black hair in a side ponytail.
"We're in class 1-B," Konoe explained.
"Ah, nice to meet you both," I said.
"You infused your magic similarly to how I use my Chi," Sakurazaki said.
"Wait, your quirk is like Chi?" I asked.
"Kinda, it's a magic quirk," she said with a knowing look on her face.
"Oh, cool," I said.
"I wish I had a magic quirk and not just a healing one," Konoe whined.
"Really?" I asked, confused as I could feel the magic from her. I looked at Sakurazaki behind her who shook her head. "Well, they aren't the greatest as I have to memorize incantations for most of my spells."
"Yeah, I wouldn't be able to do that," Konoe said.
"Well, we've taken up quite a bit of your time, let's go back to the stands Ojou-sama," Sakurazaki said.
"Alright, see you later," Konoe said, walking off with the other girl.
"So, want to hang out for a bit?" Miyazaki asked.
"Sure, what do you want to do?" I asked.
"I'd be down for some food," Ayase said, drinking a fruit pouch.
"Alright, why not," I said.
"Let's go," Miyazaki agreed.
