"Alright, settle down!" Mr. Aizawa yelled. "On Monday you will be going on work studies with pro heroes. Now, you will be getting papers with heroes who accept anyone and some of you even got a special request. Normally they are more spread out but three seemed to get the most," Mr. Aizawa said, pulling up the chalkboard cover revealing my name along with Todoroki and Negi's.
"Woah, both Todoroki and Negi got more than Bakugou," Sero said.
"Opposite of the festival," Kaminari said.
I looked to see Bakugou seething in anger.
"You have until the end of day to decide on three. Now for today you'll be coming up with hero names. Think long and hard about this," Mr. Aizawa started.
"Or you'll have hell to pay later," Nemuri said, walking in.
"I'm no good with this so she's going to help. Don't be stupid with them," he said, getting into his sleeping bag.
Papers with offers were handed out with white boards and markers.
"Now, who's going to present first?" Nemuri asked. "Izumi?" she asked, grinning.
"How did I know you were going to do that?" I asked, getting up. I then showed my name to the class.
"I don't get it," Kaminari said.
"Well, with my quirk having a vampire-like transformation I've been doing research on vampires and came across this show about vampires and stuff and liked it. Also, I feel like I'm upholding the will of those before me," I said. "So this will be my hero name," I announced, holding my whiteboard reading 'The Vampire Hero: Legacy'.
"Perfect," Nemuri said, smirking. "Next?"
I sat down and listened to the others give their names. Rose went with Crescent Rose, Blake was Gambol Shroud, Jirou went with Heartache, Ashido decided on Acid Drip(Because Pinky is stupid, if you have another one let me know), Tokage went with Splitzilla, and Negi went with The Thousand Master.
"Hey, wasn't there a hero by that name ten years ago?" I asked.
"Yeah, actually it was my father," Negi said.
"Perfect, continuing a family name!" Nemuri said.
"I'm next!" Bakugou said, going up with a board reading 'King Explosion Murder'.
"No, don't use words like murder and king," Nemuri said. "Try again."
He sat back down and growled. Most of the names he gave were rejected. He ended up with Ground Zero as picked out by Nemuri until he could come up with an appropriate one.
"Alright, that's all for today. You have the weekend to decide. Also, you might get more offers and you might lose some, don't be too picky," Mr. Aizawa said.
"Alright," I said, going up to Jirou, Ashido, Blake, Tokage, and Rose. "Who are you guys going with?"
"Blake and I are going to go with my moms and uncle who have an agency together," Rose said.
"Wait, your moms and uncle are heroes?" I asked.
"Yeah, Omen, Harbinger, and Rose Thorn. They run the Beacon Agency," Rose said.
"Cool, I actually got an offer from them too," I said.
"I'm going to go with Sky Dancer. She's an agile hero and uses dancing to help fight like what I want to do," Ashido said.
"Cool Ashido," I said.
"You can call me Mina, same for the rest of you," she said.
"Then you can all call me Setsuna," Setsuna said. "I'm going with Edgeshot."
"The number five hero? Nice!" I said. "What about you Jirou?"
"I'm not sure, there aren't all that many underground or ones that don't work in the bright lights," she said, looking at her list.
"I see a good one for you, and you'll have a friend there too," I said, looking at the list.
"Huh?" Jirou asked.
"I'm going with Midnight, and she doesn't work in the light but is an underground hero that just catches a lot of attention," I explained. "It sounds weird but trust me, she'll be the best for you," I said.
"Alright, I guess we all know who we are going with then," Jirou said.
"Then how about we go shopping tomorrow?" Mina asked.
"I'm good, we still haven't gotten to be able to with getting ready for the sports festival," I said.
"I'll be good," Jirou said.
"Sure!" Setsuna said.
"I'll be there," Rose said. "And call me Ruby too, it's a little off putting being called by my last name, I just didn't want to sound rude."
"It's alright babe," Blake said. "I should but will let you know if it changes."
The next day we all met up at Wookies. (I'm timeskipping this because I don't have more stuff for them to do before) I had the katana on my back in a bag so as to not cause panic. I met up with the others at the entrance.
"Alright, first off we need to get Izumi some basics!" Mina said, wearing leggings and a loose crop top.
"So, what style are you looking for?" Blake asked, wearing tight black jeans and a low cut shirt.
"Um, something like what Ruby is wearing," I said, looking at the girl in a corset and skirt similar to her hero outfit. "Or Jirou," I added, looking at the girl who was the description of punk and emo.
"I got the perfect shop," Mina said, leading us all to a shop called Soup.
"Alright, why is it called Soup?" Setsuna asked, wearing a green shirt with booty shorts(not that I was looking).
"I don't know, an old joke I think," Mina said.
"Alright, let's get some outfits for Izumi!" Setsuna said as everyone went in and picked out an outfit for me.
"This is going to be fun," Hina said.
"Oh yeah? I guess I can just leave you out with them and not give you any mana so you won't be seen," I said, looking at a black shirt with a silver design of a bat silhouette in a circle.
"Izumi, we got outfits for you," Mina said.
"I think I got one for myself," I said, looking at something in the back. I quickly took the outfits they had and snuck the one I saw and went to the changing rooms. (I'm not going to describe most of them because as a male I suck at female clothes and refuse to ask for help) I tried on the one Jirou picked out which was a gothic style dress. I walked out and all of their cheeks got red(lavender in Mina's case) including Hina's. "I'll take that as a yes," I said, going back in and adding it to the yes pile with all the others but Setsuna's which had too many scale designs on a shirt. I got to the final one I chose and put the thigh high stockings with garter belts, a black leather corset as compared to the fabric one Ruby found for me, a short red and black plaid skirt with small pentagrams hanging from the bottom, a black choker with chains and a silver moon, and a white button up with a black high collared jacket that was red on the inside. I looked in the mirror and didn't like it. Oh, with my red eyes I might look better. I thought, trying to find that feeling and pull on it. I opened my eyes to find them red and that I had fangs. I grinned and walked out. "How do I look?"
"Hot," Ashido muttered.
"Fuck," Setsuna said.
"Damn," Blake said.
"Sexy," Ruby said.
"Looking good little sis," Hina said.
Jirou just looked at me and her whole face got redder than before. She then fell backwards.
"Jirou!" I said, dashing and catching her. "Um, can you help while I change back?" I asked.
"S-sure," Mina said, taking Jirou and holding her up with Blake's help.
I quickly changed and got that outfit along with the others in the yes pile.
"I'll go find a bench and sit down with Jirou, you guys can continue shopping," I said.
"Alright, if you want to," Setsuna said.
"We'll be fine," I assured.
"Alright," Mina said, as the group walked into another store.
I sat there for a minute with Jirou leaning on my shoulder.
"Huh?" Jirou asked, rubbing her eyes.
"Hey, welcome back to the world of the living," I joked.
"O-oh, u-um, s-sorry," Jirou said.
"It's alright, but do you mind if I ask why you fainted?"
"Um, well, I may or may not have a thing for goth girls and vampires and you kicked it up to an eleven in that aspect," she said, blushing a bit.
"O-oh, I understand then," I said.
"R-really?"
"Y-yeah. Hey Jirou, do you think it's alright to like more than one person romantically?" I asked, cautious as Hina was still nearby but wasn't paying attention.
"W-what brought this on Kayama?"
"First off, you can call me Izumi. Everyone else does," I said. "And, I've just been thinking about it and romantic stuff since I'm now…"
"Lesbian?" Jirou asked, smirking.
"Yeah," I said, giggling.
"Well, as a fellow lesbian I honestly have a couple of crushes on some people so I think it's alright," Jirou said. "And, since I'm going to be calling you Izumi you can call me Kyoka," she added, bumping my shoulder with hers.
"Thanks for the help Kyoka," I said, bumping her shoulder back.
"Awe, my little sis is getting advice," Hina cooed.
"God, ah," I said, getting a headache. What the hell?
"Let me guess, Hina scared you?" Kyoka said.
"I really hope we can get her body back so she can't do that," I said.
"Hey! I'm right here," she pouted.
"Did you hear that wind?" I asked.
"Wha-oh, yeah that wind," Kyoka agreed.
"No, why hath god for- ow! Hey, why did I get a headache? How did I get a headache?" Hina asked.
"Ah," I said. "I just got one too."
"What?" Kyoka asked.
"Hina and I both got a headache at the same time," I said, rubbing my forehead.
"That's weird and slightly freaky," Kyoka said.
"You're telling me. Oh, here's everyone right now," I said, looking at them all coming out with a bag each.
"Hey Jirou, back in the living world?" Mina teased.
"Shut up Mina," Kyoka pouted.
"Did you want to go get something?" Ruby asked.
"Nah, I'm good," Kyoka said.
"Alright, to the next store!" Setsuna said.
We went to a bunch of other stores and had well over ten bags between all of us with Blake and Ruby sharing ones from stores. We ended up deciding to walk to the train station then go our separate ways there. We walked down the street and when we got to the train station noticed that they were oddly running late. I quickly pulled my phone out and saw why.
"There was a villain fight not too far away, not too big but the trains were forced to stop," I explained.
"Oh, um, for how long?" Mina asked.
"Not too long, just a minute," I said.
"Hmm, alright," Mina sighed.
"Sorry Ruby, Blake," Setsuna said. "Guess you two can't go suck face."
"S-Setsuna!" Blake said as Ruby stood comatose.
"Well, I guess we should've seen that coming," Mina said.
"Oh, trains are here," I said.
We all split off going our own ways. I walked from the station and headed to the house.
"So, do we actually tell them?" Hina asked.
"I think it'll be for the best," I said.
"This might go in a bad direction."
"I don't think it will."
"Who are you and what have you done with my sister?"
"Shut up," I laughed, walking up the steps. "I'm back!"
"Oh, how was the shopping trip?" Nari asked.
"Good, um, Hina and I need to talk to the two of you about something," I said.
"What?" Nemuri asked, walking in.
"Well," I said, giving Hina some mana. "During our conversation with Gremory about magic and Devils and everything she told us something and we've been noticing something that kinda goes with it."
"Alright," Nari said.
"Gremory mentioned that we had devil blood in us," Hina said. "And recently whenever um, a name is said we both get a headache."
"Let me guess, God?" Nari asked, causing Hina and me to get headaches.
"Yeah, that name," I said.
"Hey, do you think because of your connection to me your Devil blood was awakened?" Kuro asked.
"Well, it could be that or almost anything else, I honestly don't know. I'm not even sure I'm a full Devil, I'm going to ask Gremory about it after the work study," I explained.
"We weren't sure we should mention it but then we kinda started having this happen earlier today and decided to make sure you knew," Hina added.
"Thank you for telling us. It'll be good to know for the future and during the work study," Nemuri said.
"So, I wanted to ask about that. Hina can come but will Kuro?" I asked.
"Since he just got approved to learn to be a Hero Companion he should be good, but he will have to listen to me and not you while we're out," Nemuri explained.
"Alright, I just want to help," Kuro said.
"After this week we can figure out all this Devil business," Nari said.
"Alright, now let's get some dinner," Nemuri announced, going into the kitchen.
The next day we didn't do much and before long it was the first day of our work studies.
"I shouldn't have to say this but don't lose your costumes and don't put them on unless you are given permission by the hero you are with. Also, don't make our school look bad," Mr. Aizawa said, sending us off at the train station.
"Let's go Kyoka," I said, leading her out of the station to my Nemuri's car.
"Wait, shouldn't we take the train?" Kyoka asked.
"Nah, Midnight had to take me here and said she could just drive us to the agency, why do you think Hina and Kuro aren't with me?" I asked.
"Um, isn't that going to be weird being driven by the pro that runs the agency?"
"I mean, she's one of three, I think it's three," I said, trying to remember. "Actually, I think it's just the two of them."
"Well, you can ask Midnight when we get in the car," Kyoka said.
"Yeah, here, it's the black one," I said, pointing to the car. "Also, um, you might learn something," I added, remembering Nari was with us. The two of us then hopped in the back of the car.
"Alright, let's show you what a pro does," Nemuri said.
"This is going to be fun," Nari added.
"Oh, I didn't know Ms. Fukihara was coming with us," Kyoka said.
"Well, it's easier since we live and work together," Nemuri said.
"W-wait, work and live together?" Kyoka asked, confusion visible on her face.
"Well, it would make sense since we're married," Nari added, as I could hear the grin on her face.
"Yeah, that's the kinda secret I told you about," I sighed. "Now can we get going?"
"Someone's eager," Hina said, sitting in the middle.
"Come on!" Kuro said, jumping into my lap.
We drove in mostly silence to the Women of Night agency in Tokyo.
"I've always wondered, why Women of Night?" Kyoka asked.
"Well, when we started it there were three of us and we were all heroines that worked at night and in the dark so we thought it would be a good name," Nemuri said.
"Who was the third?" I asked, trying to remember.
"It's best not to talk about her," Nari said.
"Well, let's get started with some training," Nemuri said, licking her lips as we all got out of the car.
"Why do I feel like I'm in danger?" Kyoka asked, looking at me.
"You should survive, at least the first day," I said, turning away grinning.
"Izumi? Izumi, Izumi!?" Kyoka asked.
"I'm joking, mostly," I laughed. "Trust me, the first day will be the worst," I said, not knowing how bad everything will go on the third day.
