"And that was twenty minutes," Harry stated as he looked at the pocket watch and observed as his friend broke the surface of the water.
"Now you just need to learn to hold the charm for an hour," Micheal remarked with a smirk on his face.
The Irishman sighed and climbed out of the bathtub. He sat on the edge while he caught his breath. "I cannot believe we are in here right now," Finn looked around the bathroom and wiped his face.
"It does help you when you have a prefect and a head boy as your friend," The Gryffindor stated in a sarcastic manner. "That being said, there is only so much we can do, you need to work hard, if you want to win, of course."
"How do you not how to hold a bubblehead charm? It's the first thing we learned in our sixth year,"
"You're talking about me, Harry. I never listened lad. Never had a reason to, remember how I always cheated of you?" Finn stated through tired breaths. He took one more deep breath and jumped back into the water. Harry looked down at the pocket watch once more.
"You know we have about two months before the second task right?" Micheal asked in a soft tone as he wrote down the time on the pad of paper.
"I think he just wants to be prepared." Harry kept his eyes on the watch. "I think he's just trying to win those galleons. I would be lying if I told you that I didn't want the money,"
"It must be hard for you, having to support your best mate and your sweetheart," The Prefect teased.
Harry shrugged. "Not really, she doesn't really care for the tournament. Besides, I think Finn might have a reason for wanting to win,"
"What makes you say that?"
Harry sighed. "Remember those weapons he mentioned to us a few weeks back and that weird power he did at the first task?"
The Gryffindor was quiet, seeming not to have an answer. He eventually spoke up. "I don't think those two things have anything in common, but yeah, what about them."
"I doubt they do, but I feel like we will have to learn more about those weapons before we go off on some crazy adventure to find them. I don't know about you but fighting a giant man isn't exactly at the top of my priorities,"
"Where would we even begin to look? Even in our world, certain things are only myths."
"They're clearly not just myths, I'll try to do some research while I'm gone," Harry added as he kept his eyes on the watch.
"Another New Years with the Dursleys are you sure you can handle that?"
"It doesn't matter whether I like it or not, I have to spend time with my sister. Especially since this is the first year without our parents. She has to be exposed to some form of magic and knowing them. They haven't mentioned anything to her,"
"Has she shown any signs of magic?"
"Not much but I think there are still times for us to do something, but for the most part, she hasn't really shown that much. Still, it would be a lot better if she grew up in our world," Harry stated in an indifferent tone.
"Well, I wish you the best of luck mate, I wouldn't survive a day with those people,"
"At least they give me presents. Though I still question the way they treat their sun. The boy is about the size of an elephant and he's only as old as Adrian,"
"I'm surprised they let you do magic around their house. Don't they want to seem 'normal' to the world,"
"I never let me leave the house and for all their neighbor knows, they just have a nephew who only visits around Christmas and leaves after the New Years'. I guess I missed Christmas this year,"
"Hey I'm sure Rose would love to meet her new sister in law," Micheal teased.
Harry rolled his eyes but did crack a small smile at the thought. "Don't get any ideas just yet, but still I think Rose would be more than thrilled to see a photograph that moves,"
"Best of luck mate,"
"Thanks,"
Harry leaned his head back on he laid on the sand. He placed his around the beautiful girl that was laying on his chest, who seemed to be asleep. The light from the setting sun gave her hair a glow and the young man felt at peace.
She lifted her head up and looked at him in the eyes. "Are you okay? You are quiet today?"
"Hmm" Harry snapped out of his thought, not even aware that he was in his thoughts. He gave her a smile and sat up. She did not seem to like this fact. "It's nothing, I was just thinking,"
"Somezing on your mind?" She asked in a soft tone.
"Well, I won't be here for the New Years' so I guess this our last time here together until I get back." The young man noticed the sad look on her face. "Hey, I will write,"
"I prefer to call," Her expression changed quickly and she chuckled.
"You have a phone?" Harry asked with genuine shock.
"Oui, unlike you Englishmen, zee French are a little more forward zinking when eet comes to technology,"
"I'm a half-blood you know. I've been around technology."
"I don't doubt zat but I don't see a phone around 'ere besides zee one in my room. But you better contact me or I will be a very mad woman,"
The young man laughed and leaned in. He kissed the young witch and pulled back. He stayed close to her face. He noted that her eyes were open slightly and her lips were parted. "I'm gonna miss that," he said softly.
A small smile came on her face and she kissed him once more. They stay locked for a while. Harry grabbed her hand and she did the same. They pulled back and looked at one another. He noted that it seemed like she wanted to say something but was hesitant to do so. "Where are you staying for zee summer?"
Harry was taken aback for a moment. "I am staying with my grandparents why?"
"Would you like to spend zee summer wiz me and my family in France?"
Harry smiled at the thought. "I would love to but I can't leave my siblings behind." She frowned.
"Just bring zem along. My parents will be mad but I'm sure my sister would love to spend some time wiz someone closer to her age,"
The young man smiled and cupped the young woman's cheek. She rested her head on it. "I'll talk to them about it, I promise," Fleur smiled and kissed the young man once more. The pair fell back and Harry wrapped his arms around her thin waist.
He was in bliss.
Harry held himself tightly as he stood in the cold. Pulled his shirt up to cover his mouth. He looked around the station. King's Cross was surprisingly empty and he noted the Christmas that still adorn the station.
"Why is it so cold?" Adrian asked as he walked up next to his older brother.
"We are not in magical England anymore, we don't have magic heaters and not every room is regulated,"
"I am well aware of that," He stated in an annoyed tone. The pair looked forward as they watched a pudgy man walk towards them. "Well time to do this," the young Potter picked up his suitcase and made his way over.
Harry sighed and did the same. The fat man looked at the pair with disdain. "Hurry up," he said in an annoyed tone.
"It's good to see you too, uncle Vernon," Harry stated in a neutral tone. The two followed the man and soon made it to his car. Harry sat in the front and looked out into the night sky. He watched as the world moved around him and he soon reached into his pocket. He pulled out a photo. He looked down at the moving picture of him and Fleur at the dance and smiled.
"So, Harry what is your plan for after school," Uncle Vernon stated in a scared tone as if he is afraid of the young man's action.
The young man scoffed. "Well I was thinking of doing some raiding and maybe a few murders," he stated in a sarcastic tone. He looked at his uncle who seemed to be gripping the steering wheel tighter than he was before. "I am only joking but you know, I am old enough to do magic outside of school now," He couldn't help but chuckle at the fear that washed over his uncle's face. The man did not say anything else and Harry just leaned his head back. He closed his eyes and was soon asleep.
Harry looked up at the house that stood before him. It was bland and nothing about it stood out from the rest of the neighborhood. The young man walked to the door with his uncle and brother and the door opened he could hear a voice that he longed to hear.
"Harry!" He dropped his suitcase as a small pair of arms wrapped around his neck and he picked her up. He smiled and buried his head into her red hair. "I missed you so much,"
"I missed you too Rose," She pulled back and smiled. Harry let her down and she ran over to her other brother. Harry walked into the kitchen. Sitting at the dinner table was his cousin and his aunt. They were surrounded by people who he did not know. He guessed they were his uncle's friends.
His aunt looked up at him and a look of uneasiness swept over her face. "Oh, hello Harry, it's good to see you,"
"Likewise," he stated in a cold tone. His uncle's friends looked up at him and he noted that they were a couple. The man was the same as Vernon. Fat and had a mustache that did not do him any favors in the look departments. The woman was thin and had a very wolfish looking face. She wasn't a looker either.
"Oh, who do we have here," the woman asked in a sickly voice. She turned to her husband. "Richard, he would be perfect for our daughter Elizabeth,"
The man looked at Harry and smiled. "Yes, a handsome young man. Boy come here,"
Harry gripped his fist but he forced a smile. "Oh no, I think Harry needs some rest, after his long trip," His aunt said in a scared tone. Harry knew why she sounded like that.
"Nonsense Petunia, come here young man," Harry did as told more out of spite for his aunt than anything else. He sat down across from the man.
"So tell me, how old are you son?"
"I'm seventeen sir," Harry stated in a soft tone.
"That's perfect, you would love our daughter, she is your age and she would love to meet you,"
The young man chuckled. "Well I am flattered, I would sadly have to say that I have someone else,"
"Nonsense, just meet her and I bet you that you will love her," the woman stated.
"I must insist, I am okay,"
"Well, why don't you two meet tomorrow and see how it goes,"
Harry chose to stay quiet and looked at his cousin. Who was still fixated on the television. "Seems like you haven't changed Dudley. Still as fat as the dickens," The boy didn't seem to hear him. The young man looked at his aunt. "As much as I would love to keep talking, I need to get settled down,"
His aunt seemed relieved by this. "Of course, you are staying in the guest bedroom, it's next to Rose's,"
Harry nodded and stood up. "May I use the phone?"
"Yes, it is in my room," The young man walked out of the room and pasted his uncle and brother, who were making their way to the kitchen. He walked up the stairs with his luggage and past his sister's room. He looked inside and was surprised how nice it was considering his relatives. The walls were decorated with her drawings, the bed was rather sizable. He sighed and walked into the guest room. He placed his stuff down.
He walked to his aunt and uncle's room and when he entered he noted that the room was filled with pictures of his cousin, he was not surprised by this fact. He sat on the edge of the bed and picked up the phone. He pulled out a small piece of paper from his pocket and dialed the number on it.
The phone rang once before she answered. He chuckled. "Wow, you answered quickly."
"Of course, I wanted to talk to you,"
"Is there something you wanted to talk about?"
"No, but I always want to talk to my boyfriend," Harry was taken aback but smiled.
"So I'm your boyfriend now?"
"Yes, I did mark you zat one time, remember?"
Harry touched the part of his neck where she left the mark and smiled. "Yes and I don't have a problem with it,"
"Good, because if you did, we were gonna 'ave a problem,"
The pair chuckled. "Well, I hope you aren't too lonely over there,"
"It would be better if you were 'ere but your scarf will 'ave to do for now. Did you talk to your siblings about going to France,"
"Not yet. I was gonna wait until we saw my sister. I'll talk about it with them tonight. I'm sure they would love to go to France,"
"Perfect. Well, I'm gonna let you go spend some time wiz your family, just remember call tomorrow,"
"I will I promise,"
"Bye,"
"Bye, Fleur," Harry hung up the phone and smiled like a fool. He walked out of the room and was met by his siblings in the hall. His sister smiled and looked at him.
"Do you want to see my drawings," The older brother kneeled down to her level and smiled. "I would love to,"
The three Potters walked into her room and the brothers sat on the floor. "Here, this is us," she handed Harry a drawing of the three of them. He smiled and gave it to Adrian. "This is a unicorn," he looked at the picture of the unicorn. It was crudely drawn but it was still special. "Do you think I can have a unicorn one day Harry?"
"Maybe one day Rose. I have something to show you," Harry pulled out the picture of him and Fleur. He handed it to his little sister. Who seemed to be more amazed by the fact that the picture was moving more than anything. "Who is she? She is really pretty,"
"That's Fleur, Rose. She is my-" Harry stopped and smiled like a fool. "She's my girlfriend," The oldest Potter noted the shocked look on his brother's face.
"She is really pretty Harry,"
"Yes she is and you can meet her this summer. She asked if we wanted to come to France with her,"
"Really? Can we go, Harry?"
Harry looked at his brother. Who just nodded. "Of course we can, I will tell her whenever I can,"
"Yay!"
"France huh? I think our grandparents would love to have us out of the house for summer," Adrian joked as he leaned back on the dresser. "So you two are official now?"
"Yeah, I guess we are,"
"Well, I'm happy for you, I really am," Harry leaned back on the bed and looked at his brother.
"What's wrong Adrian?"
"Nothing, it's just like it seems like every good thing always happens to you, Harry. The talent, the athleticism, and now the girl,"
"We talked about this Adrian," Harry stated in a soft tone.
"I know, I know. It just will take some time,"
"I know but I know you can do it,"
Adrian was quiet for a moment and sighed. He stood up. "Well, I'm gonna go take a shower," He walked out of the room.
Harry sighed and looked at his sister, who was still looking at the photo. The young man looked at the clock and noticed it was late. "It's time for bed, Rose,"
"Awe, but why?"
"It's late, I promise that we will play tomorrow,"
"Okay!" The young man picked up his sister and placed her in her bed. He tucked her in and stayed until she fell asleep.
The young man smiled and kissed her on the forehead. He was happy to see his sister once again.
Ok I know I said I would make the chapters longer but I realized that I haven't posted in a while and there was a lot I could have covered in this chapter. At this point, I just want to write as much as I can with the time I have so I'm sorry this is short but the next one will be longer.
