Time passes, Jack wanders in the open sea, he has gone a long way from the island... his strength begins to run out, he feels hungry and thirsty... after a while, he stops rowing, allowing the sea to carry the boat . He becomes delusional, nearly losing his mind...when...he makes out what appears to be...a ship!...which is flying the British flag.

Jack Sparrow: "Hey, this way!"

Jack is rescued, luckily for him, on the ship is Will... who was looking for him all the time.

Will Turner: "Great party, huh?"

Jack makes a face...they both shake hands.

Will Turner: "Next time you'll come with me."

They then hug.

Later...

The ship returned to Port Royal, Gibbs and Elizabeth are waiting for him in the port, Will helps Jack to get off the ship, because he is injured in an arm. A stretcher arrives.

Jack Sparrow: "Oh, tell me it's not true, I don't need it."

Will orders to cancel the stretcher, Elizabeth is glad to see him.

Jack Sparrow: "I notice red eyes, Miss Swann...tears for your lost captain?".

Elizabeth Swann: "They are more of happiness, I would hate to look for another job."

Jack Sparrow: "Better you, the holidays are over."

They both get into the car.

Gibbs: "Where to, Captain?"

Elizabeth Swann: "Have it to the hospital, Mr. Gibbs, please."

Jack Sparrow: "No, I've already been a captive for three months...there are only two things I want right now."

Elizabeth looks at him naively.

Jack Sparrow: "A good hamburger, and...".

Elizabeth Swann: "I guess, rum?"

Jack Sparrow: "That you ask for a press conference."

Elizabeth Swann: "Press conference?"

Jack Sparrow: "Yeah, burger first."

Then, they do as Jack said, they go for a hamburger at Carl'sJr and then Elizabeth calls the conference, they go to the place where it will take place and they are greeted by the people, including Barbossa.

Barbossa: "There it is."

Barbossa is glad to see Jack.

Barbossa: "Jack, I thought I'd see you at the hospital."

Jack hugs Barbossa...then Gibbs gives Jack his hamburger, Barbossa accompanies Jack to the footstool where Jack will speak, Elizabeth is intrigued to know what it is, suddenly a well dressed man named Michael approaches her.

Michael: "It's Miss Swann, right?"

Elizabeth Swann: "So is she."

Michael: "Would you mind if I took a minute from you?"

Elizabeth Swann: "Well, I'm not part of the conference, it's about to start."

Michael: "I know, I'm not a reporter...they call me Agent Michael, I work for the Unified Intelligence Force."

Elizabeth Swann: "Interesting name, it's just that we've already been sought out by the Defense Department, Monarch, FBI, CIA."

Michael: "We're another division, more specific interests... I'd like to talk to Captain Sparrow, about the circumstances of his escape from the island."

Elizabeth Swann: "Maybe I'll book it, real soon."

Michael: "I appreciate it."

They're ready to go, but Jack has no intention of standing up.

Jack Sparrow: "You know what, I have no intention of standing, I ask you to please sit down, go ahead, sit down...with confidence."

The reporters, Barbossa, Elizabeth and Will sit down.

Will Turner: "What's wrong with him? ... he's never that loving."

Elizabeth Swann: "I don't know, I really don't know...I wish I did."

Barbossa: "Jack, you always come up with jokes."

Jack Sparrow: "I'll tell you something... I could never say goodbye to dad, if I could talk to him for a moment, I would ask him... what do you think of your company?... do you have conflicts, do you have doubts?... .or you're just the guy everyone remembers on the news."

Will and Elizabeth hear this.

Jack Sparrow: "In this journey, I saw young soldiers die, by the very weapons he made to defend and protect them."

Barbossa begins to have doubts.

Jack Sparrow: "I discovered that I have become part of a great system, that I am comfortable without responsibilities."

A reporter raises his hand.

Jack Sparrow: "Yes you."

Reporter: "What happened?"

Jack stands up abruptly.

Jack Sparrow: "I learned the truth, I realized that I have more to offer the world, than just things that explode, that's why today, on this day... they will remember it as the day... that Captain Jack Sparrow shut down the arms manufacturing division."

This generates a great controversy in the press.

Jack Sparrow: "That's it."

Will and Elizabeth are left speechless...Barbossa tries to calm the crowd.

Barbossa: "Well the important thing here is... that Jack is back, and quite healthy."
