A few hours had passed since the Random IS attack. Ichika was visiting Jaden in the infirmary, while Chifuyu and Maya were investigating the destroyed unit. Jaden just confessed that he's a Superhuman! Ichika didn't know how to react to this so he wanted to talk more about it.
"So, what kind of powers do you have? Are you like Superman or can run as fast as Flash?" Ichika calmly asked.
"Well, now that you mention it. I really don't know that much about it myself. My brother just told me that i have these powers and never explained them to me." The tired Jaden said.
Suddenly, the door opened followed by a very concerned Houki and Cecila. They were worried for Ichika and partially Jaden, they really didn't know much about him but wanted to comfort him just in case something happened.
"Hey...is he alright? We noticed you haven't left for your room, Ichika. So, we decided to see if you were here." Houki was the first to talk.
"Oh, well i'm alright if you're asking. But you should be asking Jaden if he's alright." Ichika gave Jaden a thumbs up, which he gave one back.
"Well...about that." Cecilia finally said something. This got everyone's attention. What could be so important right now?! Was it another attack? Or maybe a new transfer student? " wants to see Jaden after he's done recovering."
"What?!" Ichika, Jaden, and Houki said in unison. What could they want after Jaden done healing? Ichika had a suspension that could be Jaden's abilities but it's just his suspension.
"Well, let's see what they want" Jaden effortlessly took off the wires poking directly in his skin.
"Wait! You're fully healed?! When and how?" Houki was shocked at Jaden's recovery speed, the same goes for Cecila. They didn't know Jaden was a superhuman, only Ichika knew. And he intends to keep it that way.
"Let's just say, I heal quickly. Now, where did they need me?" Jaden didn't have time to get into his IS clothes. So, he's just wearing his generic IS pilot clothes.
Houki nor Cecila said a word. They were too busy focusing on how Jaden recovered so quickly. But, Ichika felt like they were catching on to what makes Jaden tick, so he was the first to peak up.
"I'll probably guess it's my sister's office. But, I really don't know where that is, probably best if you check the teacher's lounge and ask."
"Great, Don't worry about me. And if you are about to ask Ichika. I won't assault your sister out of pure annoyance." With that Jaden left for the teacher's lounge.
Ichika didn't know what to say. Why would he think that? Well, Jaden doesn't get along with Chifuyu that much. But Ichika knows he wont do anything reckless while he's there. Hopefully.
Jaden was strolling through the hallways. He wondered what Chifuyu and would want right now. Maybe, it could be they saw what he did during that IS attack? He probably thinks it's a delivery job, but they call him after he's done recovering?! What kind of teacher requests to see a student after coming back from a near death experience?! But anyways, he arrived at the teacher's lounge.
He walked in to find every teacher working on projects, assignments, etc. 'Do they ever have time for a break?' He glanced all around the room to find no or Chifuyu, but he did catch some teachers off guard on his appearance. A teacher walked over to him. She was a blonde beauty, but he didn't have time to admire her.
"You must be Jaden Smith? Nice to meet you, I'm Natalie. She then extended a hand for Jaden to shake. "You probably don't remember me dont you?" Jaden did shake her hand but was confused. And it hit him. This is Nataile, the same person who gave him that training and informed him he's going to be staying at the IS academy.
"Wait a minute! Your Natalie?! The same Natalie who trained me during those 2 days?" She then gave a short nod. "You look older than the last time I saw you." He thought of a quick joke and knew she was going to strike. With a swift movement, he grabbed her hand, inches away from his face. Natalie was completely shocked. When did he become so fast?
"Seems like my training had a good effect on you. But, i don't remember teaching you how to react that fast." She then wanted to get straight into the point. " 's office is to the left of this hallway and 3 doors to your right."
With the new information he inquired, he headed out the door. Natalie still was a little curious about the training he did to become so fast, but she knew wanted to see him, plus she felt her wrath during the second Mondo Grosso. So, delaying him means she has to deal with that demon.
It took about 2 minutes for Jaden to reach his destination, because of 3 reasons. 1) He wanted to take his time, what's the rush on going there if you're out of breath. 2) Jaden was still shocked to find out that Natalie, the person who formally trained him. He didn't expect for her to be here, let alone work here. 3) Jaden was kinda curious to find out what Chifuyu called him.
He knocked on the door and no response. He knocked again, no response. He figured this was the wrong room but he looked up to find a tag labeled 'Chifuyu Orimura's office'. "Come on! I know someone is in here!" Then the door slightly opened and out came a hand, grabbing him and dragging him into the room.
The door was dark, like Really dark. Jaden couldn't see anything, but he did feel someone gripping his arm. Then the lights turned on. There was Chifuyu Orimura, Maya Yamada, and the…headmaster? What was she doing here? Last time he saw her was when she escorted him to the railway during his first day.
"Hello Mr. Smith, I'm sure you remember me," The grey-haired woman asked. Of course Jaden remembered her. "Um yes. Why are you here? I was told Chifuyu wanted to see me" He almost received a punch to his shoulder but missed by an inch.
"Anyways, like i said before. My name is Akira Sato, headmaster of the IS academy. And we're here today to talk with you. Is that alright?" She did the same thing Natalie did, motion a handshake.
Jaden gladly took the handshake. "Nice to meet you, again. So, what did you need from me?"
Maya stood up and walked towards Jaden. "We were brought to our attention that involves you. Ever since your battle with Cecilia, and the IS attack that happened a few hours ago, we've noticed something off with your unit.
'Oh shit! Did they find out? When? How?! Well, I did go overboard during my match with Cecila. But the IS attack was different, i barely had control over himself after seeing my...friend get hurt. Please tell me they didn't find out.'
Chifuyu stood up. "Are you hiding something from us?! That's what we're trying to ask you" This confirmed it.
'Yup, they're onto me. Gotta think of an excuse to give them. Hopefully, they take the bait' Jaden had to think of an excuse quickly, but he didn't know any, but he got an idea. "Oh, yeah. It's some special training i've been doing for the last couple of weeks."
'Nice one Jaden' Jaden mentally complemented himself.
The adults were kinda confused for a second, but Chifuyu was the first to catch on. "Would you mind sharing this kind of information with us?" Chifuyu said in a rather sexy tone.
This throws Jaden off, all he can give is a widened glare. Then realized that they were catching on to his abilities and decided to get the hell out of there. "Well, would you look at the time. Ichika is probably worried about me right now. So, gotta go!" He then bolted out of the room.
Akira gave a malicious smirk then turned towards Chifuyu. "I think he's hiding something valuable, think we should investigate further?" Chifuyu was weirded out by her attitude, she never wanted to pressure Jaden to that point. "I think we should drop it. How about you Ms. Yamada?" Chifuyu glanced towards the green-haired teacher.
Maya on the other hand was completely flabbergasted by Chifuyu's tone she took with Jaden and Akira's malicious smile. She didn't say anything but tried to put on a smile and gave a nod, shaking a bit.
Jaden, who was walking back to his room, was freaked out by Chifuyu's tone she used. Was she attracted to younger boys? Because that's the feeling Jaden feels right about now. He didn't think much of it and decided to focus on returning to his room. He soon arrived at his room and knocked on the door. He didn't want another incident going down.
"Coming!" A voice ringed through Jaden's ears, indicating someone's in the room. The door slowly opened, revealing a rather spooked Ichika. He looked like someone told him a devastating truth he couldn't take.
"Yo, you good Ichika? You look like one of them spooked memes." Jaden saw Ichika's face, it didn't look good.
"Yeah, there's something I need to tell you. But come inside first, we don't want to have anyone spying on us." Ichika motioned Jaden to come inside.
A few minutes passed in silence, neither one of them said a word. Jaden was busy twiddling his thumbs while Ichika was sitting at the computer desk. They knew they had to break the silence between them, their best friends! They could tell each other anything and wont say anything to the girls.
Ichika was first to break the silence. "Soo, wanna go first?"
Jaden thought for a moment, wondering if he should go first. Well, his problem is probably far more important than Ichika's. So, why not. "Okay, i'll go first then. Your sister wasn't alone when she called me. She was accompanied by Maya and the headmaster of the school."
Ichika was confused. Headmaster? He thought that the school was runned by a principal or the government. But, a headmaster he wasn't that familiar with, was kinda suspicious. Why hasn't he ever heard of her?
"And they're onto me. I think they're catching on with my abilities, I think they're going to turn me into a lab rat. And another thing happened…" Ichika was listening the whole time, but that last part interested him.
"I think...your sister is attracted to younger boys. I think!" Jaden made sure to emphasize the word think to make sure he isn't sounding weird.
Ichika bluntly stood up. "I'm pretty sure you're imagining things. And what?!"
"I swear dude, she told me in the most seductive voice ever." He then cleared his voice and tried to put on his best impression of Ichika's sister. "She said. Would you mind sharing this information with us?" Jaden immediately regretted doing that.
"I...think, that's a way Chifuyu tries to get information out of people, if I'm wrong. She did that to me while she was drunk." Ichika recalled the last time Chifuyu was drunk and talking very...drunk.
Jaden almost bursted into laughter. "You let that happen? Man, I think you have a sister-complex."
Ichika started blushing. "No I don't!"
Jaden gave a coy smile. "Sure man. Now, you tell me what happened with you. You looked like a meme when you opened the door."
Ichika eventually sat back down, still blushing a bit, but held a sense of worry. "Well, Houki stopped by after you left the hospital. She...said something…" Ichika couldn't muster enough courage to say what she said.
Jaden kinda knew were this was going but decided to play dumb, for now. "Did she ask you to date her or something?"
Ichika completely tilted his head down, embarrassed beyond belief. Jaden's jaw and eyes widened, he didn't know he would get it on the first try.
"Oh my mega tyranitar! Did you say yes?! Tell me you said yes?!" Jaden excitedly exclaimed.
Ichika didn't say anything. But, before Jaden could open his mouth, Ichika spoke up. "I didn't say yes or no. But she did say if she won the next class league match i would have to date her."
"Well, that's unfortunate. Anyway, what time is it?" Ichika looked at his IS and it showed the time. It was 11:45!
"Dude it's 11:45! We have to do our daily pushups before we go to bed. Unless, you want to hear my sister yell at us."
Jaden immediately got on the floor, in pushup position, with a determined face. "Anything but that! After today, I expect she's going to pressure me on trying to release, you know."
"True, how many do you want to go to today?" Ichika got on the floor, also in pushup position.
Jaden thought for a minute. Last time they went to 3000. "How about we take it easy today."
Ichika smirked. "Well, I guess the strain is catching up to you." Ichika knew Jaden won't back down towards that insult.
Jaden didn't think Ichika would taunt him like that. "Oh really?! Then how about 5000, is that enough for you?"
"Fair enough, now lets begin"
Ichika and Jaden were trying to overpower the other during the race. Eventually, it ended in a tie, again. Next morning, Ichika and Jaden were waking up to the sound of footsteps. They both looked at each other then towards the computer at the desk. Now, it was 7:59! They quickly did their morning routine of brushing their teeth, taking a shower, etc.
It took a few minutes for them to leave their room, but they did just in time, because it was 8:12. They breathed a sigh of relief, then checked their units.
"Man, i hope today can be a good day. Good thing we woke up on time, I thought i would have to hear your sister complain about how we are late."
Ichika gave a small smile. "You know, Chifuyu isn't that bad. Sure, she can be really strict, and ruthless. But, she cares much for us."
Jaden smirked. "Coming from the guy who was spartan trained by her. That reminds me. Do you two live together besides this place?"
"Well, yeah she's my big sister."
Jaden decided to press forward. "I have a question. Who does the most housework, as in dishes, cleaning, washing, etc?"
Ichika had a bad feeling about that question, like Chifuyu was listening closely to their conversation. "Well, since she works a lot, I do the house chores. I wash me and her clothes, I fix dinner for the both of us, I even give her my special massages to help her relax."
"And here I thought she does everything for you. You're like the ideal boyfriend for any girl, maybe a house husband."
Ichika got flustered. He then thought of something. He's telling him about his personal life, how about he learns more about his life. "How about you? You said your brother lives with you, who does the most housework there?"
Jaden didn't expect this to happen. His plan backfired on him. "Well to shatter that image in your mind about me being lazy. I'm actually kinda the same as you, except for washing clothes. I aint washing any underwear except mine."
Jaden continued. "My brother works too. Some nights he doesn't come home until around 1-2 am in the morning."
Jaden then turned to Ichika, he was giving a cocky smile. "Well, I guess we're the same when it comes to house work. How about part-time jobs. Did you ever work before?"
Jaden gave his answer. "Well actually yes, i worked as a server. I'm going to flat out say it, that was one of the worst jobs I have ever taken."
Ichika was surprised. "Jobs?! You worked several jobs?!"
"Before you say anything. Me and my brother aren't struggling to survive. Actually, he gets paid very well, enough for just us. I'm not bragging about anything when i say that"
Jaden continued. "And yes, i worked several jobs. I want to see what it's like to work. Honestly, it's the best feeling ever in the world for me. What about you?"
"I worked…" Ichika was about to finish when he felt a clipboard slap the back of his head. It was his sister, Chifuyu. And she didn't look happy at all.
"Refrain from talking about your teacher, Ormiura. And aren't you two almost late for class?"
Ichika, still rubbing his head, looked to his right, finding a holographic screen displaying the time. It was 8:39! Chifuyu gave a malicious smile. "If you two are late, your punishment will be like never before."
Jaden and Ichika bolted towards their classroom, some girls saw them running, few thought they were racing. But, it all came down when they were seconds away from their homeroom door. It was 8:44! About 20 or 10 seconds away from the next time limit.
The classroom was relatively silent. Maya wondered where her 2 male students are, along with the rest of the class. Chifuyu already arrived, standing there with a happy smirk. Maya wanted to ask what she was smiling for, but was too afraid to say anything.
Houki and Cecila we're especially worried for Ichika and partially Jaden. Did they wake up late or something? Were they attacked?! They didn't know what was going on. But, they did know when Chifuyu walked in she told everyone to quiet down and wait, for what exactly?
Even Maya was confused about Chifuyu's behavior. Usually, she would tell them to quiet down and Maya would start teaching.
Suddenly, Ichika and Jaden bursted into the room, shocking and scaring everyone except Chifuyu. They both were panting very hard. Ichika looked down at his IS and checked the time. It was still 8:44, they arrived on time!
"Did we make it?!" Jaden said between pants. He looked around to find everyone staring at them like they were mad.
Jaden then looked all over the room, landing his eyes on Chifuyu, she was giving a coy smirk. "How did you get here so fast?! I swear we were only running for about 30 seconds."
Chifuyu finally stopped smiling and gave him a glare. "You two are lucky. Now sit down! Class is about to start."
Jaden simply stared in shock. He couldn't believe this! Her attitude took a complete 360 just a few seconds ago. He reluctantly sat down, giving a concentrated expression. Ichika didn't say anything. He knew his sister better than anyone, besides Tabane.
The class sat in silence for a few seconds before Maya spoke. "Guess what class? Today, we are going to meet another new transfer student."
The student walked in and everyone was whispering. The student firmly walked to the front of the class and Ichika and Jaden were shocked. Another male student?! 'He' wore the same uniform as Jaden and Ichika.
"I'm Charles Dunois, and I come from France. It is...nice to meet you" Ichika and Jaden were speechless. Finally! They all can have some guy's time.
Jaden got a good look at the new transfer student, and something wasn't right. 'Wait a minute! That's a girl! Charles Dunois my ass.'
"Dude, you're a boy?" Some random girl said.
"Oui, i heard about two male students who are in the same situation as I am, so I transferred here." Charles answered.
The class immediately bursted into fangirl mode.
Jaden gave a discouraged sigh. 'Should i tell the teacher? Maybe not. I don't want to ruin what's going to happen in the future.'
"Silence Dammit! That's quite enough!" Chifuyu roared throughout the class, shutting everyone up. "Today we'll be doing Joint practical training with class 2. I want everyone changed and assembled on the second ground ASAP. Ormiura, Smith."
Ichika quickly responded. "Y-yes"
Jaden didn't respond. Instead, he just turned towards her. She really hates it when Jaden doesn't give the proper respect towards her, but she has another way of forcing him to break. "I want you two to help Dunois around the school."
"Let's get moving girls," Chifuyu finished.
'Charles' walked over to between Ichika's desk and Jaden's. "Nice to meet you two i am-" Carles was cut off by Jaden.
"Less talking, more walking, let's go" Jaden grabbed both Ichika and Charles's hand and dragged them to the door. "Now, let's race!" Jaden bolted out the room, leaving a confused Charles and determined Ichika.
"Let's go Charles, we have to beat Jaden" Ichika grabbed his hand then sprinting after Jaden.
The class was amazed at the sight of '3' male students. Houki in particular was curious and jealous. She wanted Ichika to hold her again, when they were kids.
Ichika and Charles barely caught up with Jaden, who was outpacing them by a huge gap. Charles was already tired, while Jaden and Ichika were running on determination, trying to beat each other.
It took about 5 minutes for them to reach the boy's locker room. Charles was outta breath, slumped over the bench, while Jaden and Ichika were breathing hard. "Damnit! Yall got lucky i had to stop to help a girl out." Jaden complained.
"Yeah, how are you doing Charles?" Ichika looked back to find Charles, completely slumped over the bench.
Jaden snorted. "You didn't think to go slow? She- i mean he just transferred here."
Charles immediately stood up. Did he find out? That quickly?! He panicked. This got Ichika's attention plus Jaden who gave a small smirk.
Ichika walked over and patted the boy's back. "Are you okay? Do you need to use the restroom?"
Charles started to stutter. "Uh...no, that not it"
Jaden knew the reason why. Why was she pretending to be a boy? Or maybe he has it all wrong. Maybe, he's a transgender. But, it wouldn't be a good idea to just say that.
Ichika decided it was nothing, then remembered something he needed to say. "Oh that's right! Charles, this is the place we're going to have to change here every time there's practical training. So, you better used to beating the girls."
"Oh okay" The french boy muttered.
Jaden took a step forward. "We didn't get to properly introduce ourselves. My name is Jaden Smith, but you can just call me Jaden if you want."
Ichika also chimed in. "And my name is Ichika Orimura. But, you can call me Ichika."
Charles felt a little comfortable and wanted to reintroduce 'himself' "Nice to meet you two, you both can call me Charles if you like."
Ichika and Jaden glanced at the time and froze. "Oh man, look at the time!" They both said in unison, immediately getting undressed. Charles gasped, turning around to avoid the sight of the two boys...figures.
"Come on, you'll be late if you don't change fast. And our teacher happens to be very strict on punctuality." Ichika blushed a bit on that last part.
"Well not me. Unlike Ichika here, Charles, he takes the hits his sister gives him. I don't." Jaden had to make sure that Charles knows that he doesn't take the hits, he dodges them.
"Okay….i'm going to change now. But, would you mind looking away please?"
"We weren't going to stare at you while you change, but whatever." Ichika turned around along with Jaden.
'Yup, this confirms it. This 'guy' is actually a girl in disguise. I wonder how long it will take everyone to realize it. Ima say a day or two.' Jaden was proven right.
"Just hurry it up okay...what?' Ichika turned around to find Charles already wearing he's IS spandex uniform.
Jaden turned around to find the same thing. 'Well, that was fast' he wanted to say something. But, he knew if he said anything, things are going to get messy.
Ichika responded first. "You changed incredibly fast, do you have some sort of secret trick to that or something?"
Charles didn't know what to say about that but thought of something quick. "Not really. I don't-"
"We don't have time for that! Chifuyu and the rest of the girls are probably out there waiting for us, and Ichika's sister is already as unpredictable as it is."
Eventually, They got done changing and headed towards the area. Every girl from class 1-2 was there, including the 3 boys.
"Your practical training begins now. First, we'll need to demonstrate a real battle. Huang, Alcott" Chifuyu called the names of the two representatives.
"Ma'am" They said in unison.
"Since you both have your own machines, i'm sure you'll gladly volunteer. Step forwards girls." Chifuyu ordered them.
Both of the girls step forward, giving a discouraged sigh. They seemed disappointed in something. But, Chifuyu said something to them that made their spirits do a complete 180.
"What did the teacher just say to those girls?" Charles asked Ichika since he was the closest.
"How on earth would I know that? What do you think of Jaden?" Ichika turned to his other friend.
Jaden almost snorted by their complete shift in attitude. "Something stupid i bet. Maybe she said something about showing off for you."
"So who's my rival? I wouldn't mind tossing you away, restaurant girl." Cecilia gave a prideful glare towards Rin.
Rin growled for a second before giving her own remark. "That's my line. English twit."
Chifuyu intervened before stuff got messy. "Don't get ahead of yourself, you haven't met your opponent yet."
Suddenly, Jaden heard a faint scream coming from the sky, before becoming more clear to hear. It was ?! And she was in a unit. Jaden turned to Ichika, giving a short nod. They both summed their units and with seconds to spare they both caught here before she hit the ground.
Unfortunately, they both grabbed her by her breasts. Ichika and Jaden were confused for a bit before feeling something soft and squishy in their hands. They looked down to find a blushing Maya and two hands groping her.
They quickly sat her down quickly, unconsciously, dodging two shots. Turns out it was from Cecila. And she had a genuinely happy-malicious smile on her face. Jaden knew that smile. It is a Yandere smile!
"Oh my goodness. Sorry it seems i have misfired"
Jaden grew frustrated and yelled out. "Stop lying!"
Ichika turned his head to find Rin standing over him, giving the same smile as Cecila. "Ichika!" She promptly swinged her sword, aiming for Ichika's head. Ichika thought this was the end for him, but the attack never hit him.
Instead he opened his eyes to see Jaden in front of him, without his IS. He knew Jaden was acting out of instinct to protect him. But, he's grateful that he cares about him. He caught the attention of everyone.
Rin was flabbergasted at Jaden's strength. She was using about almost half of her power on that swing, and Jaden caught it, without any sort of strain or pressure on him. "What the-" Rin muttered.
Jaden figured the glares would be on him. So, he let go of Rin's scimitar, giving a deadly glare. Rin was terrified beyond belief. The only person who made her show this much fear was Chifuyu, and this boy did the same thing without hesitation.
Jaden glanced around and thought of something quick. "It was a lucky catch. Nothing to see here." He promptly walked away from Rin. He felt a huge pain in his chest but shook it off.
Jaden turned to Ichika, giving a smile. "You alright man? That attack seemed deadly."
Ichika played along. "Im...fine, thanks for asking though."
Chifuyu grew more suspicious, but shook it off, for now at least. "Attention!" She got everyone's attention from that shout. "Your battle will commence now. Also, bytheway used to be a representative contender, so don't think this will be easy."
Maya sweatdropped. "Thanks, but what was a long time ago, but I could never break free from being just a contender."
"But you're still more than a match for these two, together." Chifuyu remarked.
Cecilia gasped. "What? You can't mean two against one."
Rin descended a bit from the back of Cecila. "I don't think that's a good idea."
Chifuyu gave a coy smirk. "Oh don't worry, i'm sure your embarrassment won't last very long."
Rin and Cecila seemed to hold in their rants, look who they were talking to? "Let the carnage begin!" Chifuyu commenced the match.
Rin and Cecila took their spots in the air along with Maya.
Ichika turned to Jaden. "This wont go their way, will it?"
Jaden didn't know how to respond to that. He put his hand on his chin, observing the fight closely. "Well Ichika, all i can say is. They're going to get their asses kicked."
Ichika looked back between the fight and saw Maya, without that much effort, destroying the both of them.
"Dunois! Tell us about the IS is using?"
"But of course." Charles flinched for a moment then started to explain what the unit is.
Jaden wasn't paying any attention towards Charles, but redirected his focus on the fight. Maya was literally whopping them. He studied her every move, which caught himself blushing, due to the fact that he was unconsciously focusing on her body more than her movements.
Eventually, Cecilia and Rin crashed into each other, leaving them completely wide open for an attack. Maya wasted no time on delivering a grenade launcher shot directly towards the two, knocking them completely out the sky.
Chifuyu walked in front of Maya. "I hope you know you all understand what your instructor is capable of. And knowing that, show her the proper respect. For the first phase of practical training you'll form teams. Those who have a personal machine will be the group leaders, so get forming already!"
Girls immediately strolled towards Ichika and Charles, but Jaden was a different case. The girls had a frightened look on their faces, almost as if they didn't want to join his group. Jaden pinched the bridge of his nose. 'Guess I had this coming for a while.'
Jaden decided to try and calm them down "It's alright, i won't bite" But, it didn't work so well.
"Smith! What's taking so long for you to assemble your group?!" Chifuyu barked at him.
Jaden turned to her. "Not my fault, ask them yourselves"
Chifuyu gave them the death glare, which they immediately cowered behind Jaden. He didn't care nor know why she gave them that glare, but he did know that they want to join his group now.
Jaden needed to clear the tension between the girls. "Okay listen, I know I have scared yall in the past, but if you don't piss me off, we're good." Some girls looked at each other before giving a heartfelt smile.
'Nailed it! Now, let's see how Ichika and Charles are doing.' Jaden glanced over at Ichika's group. It wasn't bad, but all of them were holding their hands out to him. He turned to find Charles's group doing the same thing. Good thing he's group isn't doing any of that.
'Welcome to hell, Charles.'
Time passed by and it was time for lunch. Ichika had invited Jaden along with the rest of the girls. Tension was definitely in the air, flowing with the sound of the wind. Jaden saw the faces of Houki, Rin, and Cecila. They were definitely not happy, while Ichika had a smile this whole time.
"What's going on here?" Houki said in a displeased voice.
Jaden turned towards the displeased Houki. "I actually don't know. Ichika, Explain yourself"
"Well, the more the merrier they say. Plus, Charles only just transferred to this school, so he doesn't really know his way around without me and Jaden."
Jaden sweatdropped. "Oh, that makes sense"
Houki sighed. "Maybe so but." Houki then turned to the other girls, all 3 of them giving each other death glares.
"Um Ichika, do you really think it was a good idea for me to join you here? Aren't you feeling the same way Jaden?" Charles was concerned.
Jaden stood up and layed back down in a sleeping position, feeling the nice warm sun and the warm air. "It's Ichika we're walking about. Of course it's a great idea."
'What Jaden said, we boys must stick together, am I right?" Ichika gave a warm smile.
Jaden silently scoffed. 'I think you mean only us Ichika, that's a girl in disguise right there. But I won't ruin the fun, yet.'
Charles felt comfortable with Ichika's and Jaden's words. "I'm so touched. You know you both are really guys." Ichika and Jaden started blushing.
Rin got suspicious. "Would you mind telling us why you two are blushing?" Her voice contained the power of a retrained dragon, ready to be unleashed any moment.
'Blushing, i'm not blushing, right Jaden?"
"Yeah, i just ate a tomato before this. Plus, the sun has a higher temperature than when i read today."
Rin slowly opened what seemed to be a container for something. Jaden's nose immediately caught on the smell and shot up. He looked to his sides and remembered what was missing. "Damnit! I forgot to get lunch today. Now i'm going to starve to death."
Ignoring Jaden's complaint, Ichika spoke. "Wow! Sweet and sour pork." Rin gave a happy smile. "Yup, made some this morning. You said you wanted to have some right."
Cecilia coughed in her hand before speaking. "That's alright Jaden you could have some of mine. Also, Ichika, I woke up early this morning to prepare this delightful basket of sandwiches for you both."
Cecilia continued. "I just wanted to let you know that we do have tasty food in england as well."
Ichika examined the basket of sandwiches. "Well it sure does look good. Let me try this one." Before Ichika took a bite he looked at Jaden. He was staring at the ground. "Hey Jaden, don't worry about it, Cecilia got you covered."
Jaden glanced at Cecila, she gave him a happy smile. "Alright, you got me." Jaden took a sandwich from the basket and examined it. "Looks good, ready Ichika?" He gave a short nod.
They both took a bite at the same time. Ichika's face drained of his natural color, into a pure solid grey color. It was terrible for him, how about Jaden? Well, he was over the side of the railing. How did he get there so fast?
Jaden was looking into the sunset, while chewing his sandwich. All sorts of different flavors tackled his tongue, he couldn't even speak. He turned around and slowly walked back to the group. Sitting down, he stared at Cecila.
He bowed his head. "You said you made this?" his voice was deprived of all emotions. It sounded like he died on the inside.
"Uh, i made it myself. Do you like it?" She was kinda nervous about his reaction, like it wasn't good enough.
"Do i like it? Do i like it?! This is the most...DELICIOUS THING I HAVE EVER TASTED."
Cecilia gasped. "Do you really mean that?!"
"Yes, i mean that. You really are a talented cook, Cecilia" Jaden gave a huge smile.
Cecilia started to giggle in happiness. Ichika turned to him and whispered. "Did you really mean that? You guys were on bad terms, remember?"
Jaden smirked. "Of course, i mean that. You probably had one of the bad ones or rushed, the one I tasted felt like I had stepped foot into heaven."
Jaden continued. "Plus, this is an easy way to get on her good side."
Cecilia stopped her giggling and eyed Ichika. "So, Ichika what do you think of my sandwiches?"
Ichika sweatdropped then looked at Jaden. He motioned with his eyes. "Well, it was great Cecila. But i'll try some later, okay?"
Ichika turned around towards Houki. "Okay let's see. I have to try Houki's next.
'This is going to be awhile.'
Lunch time had passed and Ichika and Jaden were in a random area. It was close to dark, so they decided to do some little training. Ichika and Jaden were in their respectful units, ready to start their match.
"Ready Ichika! I'm not going to hold back"
"Well could you least hold back a little, please? I don't want to die just yet" Ichika gave a nervous smile.
"Sure, but don't think i'll take it easy alright?!"
The both rushed at each other, clashing on contact. Ichika went for the first swing but Jaden blocked it with his own sword. Jaden quickly seized his opportunity on delivering a jab to Ichika's upper jaw line, knocking him in the air.
Jaden charged again but Ichika recovered. Jaden went for a one-handed swing, but ultimately missed. He was confused for a second before Ichika got the drop on him. Ichika got a clear swing on Jaden's mid-frame, bringing his unit's shield down a few points.
"Well i guess you can call that. Breaking the barrier." Jaden cringed at the pun Ichika said. In fact, it was so cringy he didn't even fight for a few seconds.
Ichika saw his chance and rushed at Jaden. "Gotcha!" But Ichika was too late, Jaden had already caught on with Ichika's attack and another clash commenced. They gritted their teeth, pushing all their strength into their weapons. Eventually, Jaden won the clash and rushed at Ichika, but instead, used his trump card.
"Shield pierce!" Jaden charged ahead, using all his speed, power, and durability on this attack. Ichika decided to not block but counter.
"Let's go Jaden!" Ichika used the exact same move he used during their match with Cecila. 'Barrier disabling attack'.
Both of them clashed again, creating a bright light. If anyone was there it would have blinded them, the attack was so fierce that both Ichika's and Jaden's shield energy dropped to 0%. He fell to the ground, panting hard.
Jaden felt the pain in his chest again. It hurted like hell, but he ignored it. They weakly turned to each other then motioned for a fist bump. When they connected Ichika passed out, leaving whoever found them to take care of them.
'Thanks for being a good friend, Ichika.' Jaden's last words before passing out completely.
The next day was in class, everyone was murmuring and whispering. Chifuyu was the same as always, standing next to the door, while looked concerned about something but still gave her usual smile.
Ichika and Jaden were especially confused today. They woke up in their rooms, but the last thing they remembered was training and then blacking out. Maybe Ichika's sister found them and brought them to their rooms, but that's only a guess.
"Okay class, i have another exciting announcement to make today. I'm about to introduce another new addition to our expanding classroom, meet our newest transfer student from germany. Laura Bodewig!"
She was a petite student, like Rin, but had long silver hair. She had an eyepatch covering her left eye, she had a tie on her uniform instead of a ribbon, and really puffy pants.
The class began to murmur again. Ichika looked at Jaden, who shrugged his shoulders. Two transfer students in under 2 days?! Something was definitely going on around this school, and Jaden had a suspension about Chifuyu.
"Be quiet now everyone, her introduction isn't over, show some respect" Maya shushed some girls up.
"Yes, go ahead Laura, please finish." Chifuyu spoke and everyone got quiet.
"Ya vol mentor" Laura responded.
'Ya vol, what?! Man, this is why i should have taken those germany speech classes back in middle school'
Jaden turned to Ichika. He had a surprised or shocked look on his face. "Does he know her? He's acting like it right now." Jaden muttered to himself.
The transfer student turned to the class. "I am Laura Bodewig"
That was all…?! Well, Jaden should be complaining, he did the exact same thing during his first day in class, same goes for Ichika. But, Jaden got this weird vibe from her. She didn't give any smile or different voice change or anything. Like, she was here only to study.
The class was still silent before Maya spoke up. "So um, is that all you wanted to say Laura?"
She responded. "Yah that is all" she then directed her focus on Ichika. Jaden didn't know what was about to go down but he was ready to protect his friend at all cost.
"And you must be…" she walked towards Ichika's desk. Without a moment to spare, she slapped him hard across the face.
Everyone, including Chifuyu looked at Laura, what was wrong with her?! Jaden felt the same voice in his head all those years ago. 'Protect him!' Gasps were heard everywhere.
"I do not approve. Infact, I will never approve. That you are her brother." Laura stated.
Ichika felt the slap on his face. It definitely hurted, but he glanced at Jaden, his eyes widened. Jaden didn't have any good expression on his face, but he had a malicious smile. "Oh no" Ichika muttered.
Jaden slowly stood up, ever eye fixating on him. Laura saw him standing up and smirked. "Ah, you must be the infamous Smith" Jaden didn't say a single word. Everyone in class knew what was about to happen and partially prayed for her, but kinda wished for some kinda punishment for slapping one of their star students.
Laura's face dropped it's smile and was back to neutral. "Was that your friend? Well, he had it coming."
This done it. Jaden grabbed her arm. Everyone prepared for the worst. Ichika knew this was going to turn bad really quick. "Let go of me!" Laura then went for his hand but was too slow.
He grabbed her by the neck, cuttin off her supply for air. She gasped for air but Jaden didn't let her get a single inch of it. His face now was neutral, his eyes were dull, which scared everyone the most.
"Smith! Restrain yourself." chifuyu ordered him to back down but he didn't listen. By now, Laura was gasping for air. Ichika knew he had to intervene, now! He was about to kill her because of a simple slap?!
"Smith! I said restrain yourself, now!" he still didn't listen. She then started to walk to them but Ichika stopped her.
"Sorry , he won't listen to you while he's like this." Ichika quickly set his hand on Jaden's shoulder, he turned around to find Ichika giving him the chill stare. He snapped out of it and let go of Laura.
She heavily gasped for breath, feeling her throat. She gave an evil glare at him and walked to her seat. Jaden let it happen again. His emotion got the better of him.
