Chapter 11: Fuuga

Zeno sighed heavily as they came over a hill early morning, three days after the coup d'état. Fuuga glistened like a newly cleaned diamond. The city walls were pure white with the flag of the wind tribe flying from the look out towers and over the city gate. Looking over at his companions he saw that Hak was looking at his home with pride as Yona looked on with relief. Her eyes seeming to be weary filled. He could understand that. He supposed that after they arrived she would want to rest. Zeno could still feel the sting from the vipers bite on his shoulder still. He was extremely exhausted. Of course he was always tired. Being as old as he was, Zeno usually took many naps here and there during the day. He wasn't use to all this walking!

As they approached the gate Hak let out an annoyed growl. Walking up to the two guards, Hak proceeded to hit both over the head. "What's wrong with you two!?"

"General Hak," the blonde man greeted him with a grin. "We were just resting our eyes."

"It's such a nice day," the other stated. "That when we felt sleepy we just thought we'd take a nap."

Hak let out an exasperated sigh. "Who put you two in charge of the gate?" A few moments later several people began to approach them, calling out Hak's name in excitement.

Zeno looked over at Yona who stood next to him. "Miss?" he noticed her head falling forward. Alarmed Zeno grasped Yona quickly. "Mister!"

Hak turned around and away from the group, it was the first time the two guards seemed to notice Zeno and Yona as well. Hak lifted Yona off the ground as Zeno had not been able to hold her up.

"Is she alright?" One of the women present asked.

"Oh my! She's a fragile little thing." Another woman stated.

Hak opened his mouth to speak only for Zeno to say what he was thinking. "Miss is just tired and hungry. She just needs a bit rest is all." He smiled sweetly at the older women who all started saying Aw at his words, along with words like What a sweetie.

Once inside the main house of the General of the Wind tribe and its elders, Hak spoke. "How did you do that?" He looked towards Zeno.

The blonde threw his arms over and behind his head. "Zeno has always been able to read a situation and be able to gain the trust of people very easily." He looked at Yona's unconscious form in Hak's arms. "Zeno's body is tough but weak at the same time. So Zeno learned how to ensure that Zeno doesn't have to fight all the time."

"Makes sense I suppose." Hak stated. "Otherwise you would be fighting people all the time and they would eventually figure out who or what you are."

"Yep, though that did happen once." Zeno stated offhandedly as they entered the large bedroom that would be Yona's.

"When did that happen?" Hak inquired after laying Yona down.

Zeno finished closing the window shutters and sat next to Yona across from Hak before answering. "The night Prince Yu-hon tried killing Miss but instead killed Queen Kashi." He looked very seriously at Hak. "That night Zeno revealed himself to King Il and told him that if there was another attempt on her life that Zeno would remove her from his life. A little while afterwards Lord Mundok brought Mister to play with little Miss." Zeno's smile vanished after that. "However, Mister was removed from her life and another threat occurred." He grinned once more. "Zeno got rid of the threat though and Mister came back into her life and became her guardian."

"So I have you to blame for my life?" Hak asked trying to sound annoyed but there was no heat in the question.

Zeno took a moment to answer as he thought back to the first moment he actually met Hak and smiled softly. "More than Mister will ever know." Zeno made it sound like there was more to the story when the blonde stood up. "Zeno is hungry." With that Zeno left Hak with more questions than answers.

M-Angel: Seems like Zeno knows more than he's willing to let on. Wonder what he's hiding? Or course I know, but you guys won't for awhile. *wink* Hope everyone enjoyed this chapter. ^_^
