Day 5514: Both

Dear Diary,

Not again. Don't do this to us, Toei.

-Ken & TK

.

Evil TK let out a deep breath.

At the moment, both he and his fallen friend stood in the author's room. Sachiko was off doing something with Chaos, with the other assistants going off to watch them.

The room had been left a blank slate post the author leaving. All his furniture and possession had been boxed up, leaving just a desk and an office chair. It wasn't even a comfy one at that.

"This is it." Ken remarked and cracked a smile. "It was nice seeing you again."

He gave his diary mate a quick hug and turned around.

"Wait."

Ken turned back around. TK had grabbed hold of his hand, seemingly unwilling to let go

"Will this be the last time I'll see you?" the gentlemanly asshole remarked, trying to hide any hint of sincerity or compassion in his voice. He failed miserably on that front, if you ask me.

"No." Ken answered. "There will be another chance."

TK gave a nod and let go, watching his friend fade away for the second time. Inside, he felt conflicted by all of this. To some extent, joining Ken at wherever the heck he was going sounded nice to some extent. But by the same token, the idea that he would get to see his friend filled him with a fire unlike any other.

"I can do this."

His gaze fell on a notebook, which he casually picked.

"Here goes nothing."

Carefully, he pulled it open.

New User: Seraph, registered. Initiating start of new fic: Azure Shift

A bright light engulfed him as the notebook decided that it would just float in the air for some reason.

"Okay..."

New fic start-up: 0%

Notes:

I would call this a surprise, but you already knew this was coming. Kinda. The first handful of chapters for Azure Shift have been written, I just need to do a bunch of editing.

Also, thank you for sticking through this. That means a lot to me.
