THE OTHER RANGER

Disclaimer: I don't own the Power Rangers or otherwise it would follow the Super Sentai universe more by being more accurate, each season would be connected to each other and also some of the humor they used.

Just to let you know, I don't much about life in Japan, or more specifically Tokyo, especially in the 90s, so right now I'm just using what I picked up from Super Sentai and whatever anime is based there.

Tokyo, Japan

We find six of the seven rangers coming out of some hotel in Tokyo, Japan. The reason why they are there is because Will won a trip for six to spend an all-expenses paid week trip to Tokyo, representing both their country and Angel Grove, for a chance to compete in a Teen World Martial Arts competition, which takes place in the last half of the week. One of the best things about it is that if any of the people traveling with are also into martial arts, they get to try out for it as well, which got Rocky, Adam and Aisha. What was nice was that there was an inventors' expedition and gymnastics demonstration going on meaning, that Billy and Kimberly won't feel left out during this trip. (I just didn't have the heart to.)

The reason why Tommy, their leader, wasn't there was explained when they got to the hotel, when the jet lag started to wear off.

Flashback, about an hour ago,

In the room that Will and Adam are sharing, really impressed on how the hotel can mix traditional looks with modern. The girls were sharing a second room and Rocky and Billy were sharing a third.

"Man, this is great." Rocky said, "Everything is free, the rooms are nice and we get to see another country."

"New culture, new experiences," Billy said, "Too bad Tommy couldn't come."

"By the way, why did you have Tommy stay behind?" Kimberly said. Before they left, she was hoping to spend some time with her boyfriend, but when Will said that Tommy would be staying behind, and Tommy himself agreed on the spot, crushing some of her plans.

Will gave a small sigh, knowing that this question was unavoidable. "Because of two reasons:" He started to explain to his friends, "One, as much as I want to have Tommy with us, one of you would still be left behind, and Tommy is the best choice to stay behind because he can keep Zedd in check, plus he is the only one to bring out a megazord when the time calls for it."

The five main rangers nodded their heads in agreement, knowing full well that while taking a vacation altogether would be nice when it would be with all seven, the main consequence is that Zedd would take that as an open invitation to invade. Until the time came when either Zedd was defeated for good or they were all replaced by a new team, they were stuck on the job. "And what's the other reason Will?" Adam asked.

Going to his bag, he pulled out what looked like a picture from the back, "Well, before we left, I had Alpha lookup something that has been bothering me ever since I signed up for this team. Why aren't we fighting Zedd all over the world instead of just Angel Grove? Are there other conflicts going on in the world that we don't know about, yet similar to ours?" He started to explain, making them realize one of the main reasons why Will tried so hard to win those tickets, "And after scouring news reports and stories, he did. Over on this side of the Pacific, they are called Super Sentai and they've been going at it for a good 15 years before the Power Rangers were needed to fight Rita Repulsa. Each team has a different name, and the current team is called Gosei Sentai Dairanger. After getting a good look at them, while the last team looked like six of us, these teams, while mostly different, do have a few similarities."

When he turned the picture around, they gasped when they saw that, except for the green being in place of the black, the colors were same, even though they have a Chinese warrior theme going, the dead giveaway on similarities was the person in front, who was like a duplicate for Tommy's morphed form, the MM White Ranger. (If you want to see what they look like, you can find a picture of them by google.)

Flashback End

And after explaining the rest, which included how he had the Thunder Rod changed back to the Power Weapons, and helping Alpha make sure that when the main 5 call for the Dinozords, that Zedd and nobody would be able to take control of them again. Plus, to Kimberly's relief, if they do have to battle alongside the Dairangers, then she won't go through the embarrassment of hugging the wrong person in suit, in which her friends would never let her live down.

After handing out maps to everybody, "Well, I'm going to do my own exploring." Will said, before leaving in a random direction..

"You know, I think I'll do the same." Rocky said, "I want to check out some of the food around here." While going in the opposite direction.

Kimberly and Aisha looked at each other and Kimberly asked "Gils day out?" Kimberly asked a big smile on both of their faces.

"Oh yeah." Aisha said, before both left.

The two left behind, Billy and Adam, looked at each other, shrugged their shoulders, and left in the direction that wasn't taken. When asked on how they were supposed to find one of these Dairangers, all Will could say was wait for a monster to attack Tokyo and wait them to show up. He also said try not to morph unless it was absolutely necessary, and if by some chance they encounter one unmorphed, same still applies; don't morph unless the person(s) is in need of some serious help, ASAP.

Angel Grove

Tommy is at the Juice Bar, taking a little break from a new style of martial arts that he started learning, Aikido. It was something Will recommended to him, as a way to not only help him out defensively, but also as a way to make up for asking him to stay while the rest of his friends get to travel abroad.

While hesitant at first at the idea that he stay behind to watch the fort, after Will explained to him about Dairangers and showing him a picture of them, Tommy understood that he would make it confusing if he did come along. As much as he wanted to use his own money to go with them, they all knew that Zedd never sits idly by when the perfect opportunity presents itself, plus Will pointed out that there will be a time when Tommy would no longer be both the leader of the group, as well as a Power Ranger, so he needs to have more faith in his friends that they can handle things without him, the same in reverse. Deciding not to leave everything in check, Tommy appointed Will as the leader since this was pretty much his shindig.

"Hey Tommy, are you okay?" Said boy turned to see that Ernie was talking to him.

"Yeah, Ernie, I'm fine." Tommy said, while looking at the water he is drinking.

"Still feeling a little sore about being left behind?" Ernie asked, while he was working on making a few changes on the menu.

"Yeah, even though Will tried to make it up to me, I still feel a little left out." Tommy said.

Ernie couldn't help but smile at this. No matter how long he has been in business, he has heard this story more times than he can count. There is always a group of students that are a cut above the rest, where they are good at school, help out in the community, loyal to each other, and when graduation hits, the hardest thing for any of them to do is to go their separate ways and start living their lives.

"Yeah, but they'll be back and they would have a story to tell you and a present to help make you feel a little better." Ernie said.

Tommy smiled at this, "Thanks Ernie." He said, before looking around, "I'm not sure but hasn't it been a little too quiet lately?"

Ernie looked around too and knew what Tommy was talking about, "Yeah, now that you've mentioned it, I haven't seen Bulk and Skull since yesterday." He said, "Hope they weren't jealous of the fact that your friends got to travel overseas."

Narita International Airport-Tokyo

Said pair are at the airport, being forced to repair the scale that they broke due to the fact that Bulk exceeded the weight limit when he landed on it from after they snuck aboard in the plane's cargo hold.

Angel Grove

"Well, thanks for cheering me up Ernie." Tommy said, getting ready to leave, when his communicator beeped, "And of course, duty calls."

Tokyo

Meanwhile, each ranger(s) have found an interesting individual(s) to be with. Rocky came across a Chinese restaurant and his stomach lead him inside, and one of the people there, with the little Japanese he can remember, named Ryo, decided to use him to try out some new recipes he has been creating, some being gyoza recipes.

Adam and Billy came upon a pair getting into, according to one of the locals, some kind of petty argument over something. This pair went by the names Shoji and Kazu.

Kimberly and Aisha met a boy named Daigo after they've found a lost puppy, and helped return it to a little girl who lost it.

Will was at a park, doing some meditation when he heard some kind of commotion going on. He opened one eye to notice a boy wearing a cap backwards, being chased by a girl who is about a year younger then him. He would close his eye if it wasn't for the fact that there was a tiger's head sticking out of the boys coat.

Here is the latest chapter to this, sorry it took so long, but I needed to step away for a while to figure out how to do this chapter. This will be about a 3-4 chapter arc, and what I need help with is not only to come up with some monster for them to fight, both for the multi-battles coming up in the next chapter or two, and the big battle in the final, and I also need help on who the villains are and the disposable henchman since I haven't reached the Dairanger season yet. I will accept some help by anybody who watched Dairanger by giving me some info on the Dairangers as well, mainly personality and goals, I already know the colors and the weapons. Read and Review.
