THE OTHER RANGER

Disclaimer: I don't own the Power Rangers or Super Sentai, otherwise, Samurai and Megaforce wouldn't look like really bad, cheap copies of their Sentai counterparts.

Hey, folks here it is, the next chapter. And betting a lot of people are counting down to when the official MMPR movie from Saban and Lionsgate hits theaters in 2017, especially since it's the first of a series. One thing curious about, is when it becomes time to bring in Tommy, well this one remain the Green Ranger the entire time, become the White Ranger later on, or well they find a way to bring in all seven colors into the series.

Anyway, on with the story.

"Hello" Translated

The Hero Dozen arrived at a place that can only be described as an empty warehouse with some kind of dojo theme going on. They were greeted by some guy trying to pull off some kind of yakuza/monk look.

When the group split into their respective teams, from red to sixth ranger, a voice rang out, "Will, come in."

Will raised his arm, "I'm here Alpha, what is it?" He asked his robotic friend.

"I have found the frequencies that well connect the communicators with the Dairangers so that way you can talk to each other without fail." Alpha said, "And the communicators well stay on to serve for translators for everyone, with or without communicators."

"Well, we're with the Dairangers now," Will answers, "No better time like the present."

"Roger, initiating the sequence now." Alpha answered. After a few seconds, "Okay, they should be working now."

Looking up towards their counterparts, well, somewhat their counterparts, "Can you understand me?" Wil asked.

"Of course we understand you," TenmaRanger answered, "Why wouldn't we?"

With a chorus of 'Power Down!' The Dairangers were shocked to see that the people who helped them are Americans. "Any more questions?" Will asked.

After powering down themselves, the one who was ShishiRanger asked "How are we able to understand each other through speech?"

"That voice you heard is a friend of ours near Angel Grove," Will started to explain, "After getting a good look at the devices on your wrists, I had him see if he can connect them with our communicators and have them double as translators between each other."

The man who was obviously their mentor, spoke up, "Very clever, to use technology as a way around the language barrier." He said, "And considering what comes next, I am Master Kaku, mentor of the Dairangers." Kaku introduced himself with a bow, getting one in return from the Rangers, "And I like this group. Gives so much respect to an old man the first time around."

Taking after their mentor's example, the guy dressed up as a chef started things off, "I am Ryo, RyuuRanger."

"ShishiRanger, Daigo."

"I'm Shoji, the TenmaRanger."

"Hello, my name is Kazu, the KirinRanger."

"Hello as well, my name is Rin, the HououRanger."

"Hey, I'm Kou, the mighty KibaRanger."

Now it was the American Rangers turn.

"Hi, I'm Rocky DeSantos, Mighty Morphing Red Ranger."

"Hey, I'm Adam Park, Mighty Morphing Black Ranger."

"Hey, I'm Aisha Campbell, Mighty Morphing Yellow Ranger."

"Hello, I'm Billy Cranston, Mighty Morphing Blue Ranger."

"Hi, I'm Kimberly Hart, Mighty Morphing Pink Ranger."

"Howdy, I'm Will Walker, Mighty Morphing Green Ranger."

After giving each other a hand shake, Aisha had to ask the obvious, "So wait, KibaRanger is only a little boy?" Causing the rest of the sentai to give a slightly embarrassed laugh, while Kou gave a slight pout.

"Yes, well, we thought the same thing when we found out who it is that keeps popping in and out on us." Kazu said, while scratching the back of his head.

Everybody went on to get to know each other a little better.

Angel Grove

As predicted, Zedd decided to send down the troops to see how capable Tommy is on his own, so right now, or at least, so it seems, suited up as the MM White Ranger, he was fighting both Goldar and Zedd's putties, with Saba in his hand. Slicing and dicing, while giving Goldar a kick or two away, along with dodging the flying monkey's attacks. Deciding to ask what is going through his head, "I don't get it Goldar, don't you usually show up with a monster by your side, or at least serving as a distraction for one, yet no monster has appeared to attack yet." He said, "What exactly is Zedd planning?" Even though he asked, chances are, Goldar won't just simply give him a complete answer.

Goldar scratched his head a bit, "For once, White Ranger, I really have no idea, all I was told was to keep you warmed up for some reason." He said, before noticing that he was only creature from evil still around, "And until next time White Ranger." He finished, before getting swallowed by flames.

Seeing that he was the only one left in the field, and not really having anything else to do, Tommy teleported to the Command Center to ask Zordon if he would have any ideas on what just happened.

Moon

Zedd is looking down on the earth, using his binocular vision to look at things that would make it seem like he literally jumped out of his skin. At first, he was planning on trying to find another location to do his invasion, only to see what looked like the Power Rangers fighting some kind of evil, wondering where those pesky brats find the time to rest, and handle their regular lives. When he noticed the kids fighting with another group, with somebody that looked like Tommy, that was when it finally clicked: Earth has more than one team of Power Rangers.

And that's what is bothering him right now, because even though each team has somebody else they are focused on defeating, if they were to team up with each other, then his forces would never stand a chance. Now, he needs to team up with somebody, only to stab them in the back before they do it to him. But first, he has to deal with his pests, meaning that he would have to team up with the ones that are giving, what are they called, Dairangers, a hard time. The so called Gorma Tribe.

Giving off a slight growl, "Oh the one thing I hate is teaming up with somebody that could be as evil as me, and since there are so many Rangers on that putrid planet, I don't really have much of a choice." Zedd said, "And of all the times I could use that blasted Rita Repulsa, now is the time." Then barely a second thought later, "On second thought, she would take advantage of an opportunity to take me out."

When Goldar returned, it was time for him to start planning for his future takeovers.

Tokyo

After having a nice long talk with each other, even catching each other up to speed on why they are in Japan, and also, some of their adventures. When they learned that they are there for the martial arts competition, especially because of Will, Shoji, being the competitive person that he is, decided to test him out.

Looking towards the Green Ranger, and seeing how he and Rin seem to have gotten pretty close, pretty fast, considering how she seemed to laugh at whatever he is saying, along with a bit of awe, like she was hanging onto word he said. Everybody watching can't help but smile, except Kou, who was looking a bit jealous, at both of them, obviously, for different reasons. Until their sixth ranger showed up, Rin was the youngest member, and the most inexperienced when it came to the outside world, since her shy, and naïve nature, along with her good heart, tends to get used against her a lot.

While it was important for her to be cut off from the world to develop her Qi and Dai blood, since she has the highest concentration of both, at the same time, it left her a bit unprepared when it became time for her to take her place on the team. And to add more pressure, she became like an older sister figure to Kou, or rather stuck raising him, since she wanted to act like a mother figure for him, despite fighting the urge to kill the perverted brat.

Now, even though they are pretty much divided by a huge ocean, it seems like little sister found somebody that would treat her with the respect that only Master Kaku seems to show her, while the rest tend to forget a bit that even though she can defend herself, even she could use a compliment, even a chance to act like a regular girl, especially since she is still learning at high school.

And even though he would like to let the only girl of the group have her little moment, after hearing about somebody who enjoys fighting off the battlefield, "Fight me." Shoji said. Everybody stopped talking and looked at him, especially the said pair, with Will raising his eyebrow, since he had a good idea who he directed the order to.

"Any special reason why?" Will asked, showing why he is not your typical boy.

Before, it was to stoke his ego, but now, "No reason, just want to see how strong you really are, especially from what Rin said on how you fought the Gorma, and Cotportos, I want to see some of that strength for myself." Shoji answered, his desire to fight strong opponents fueling him.

Giving a small shrug, figuring this guy was one those never take a no for an answer type, especially when it comes to what they want. "Sure, why not." Will said, getting on to his feet. After seeing Rin give a small pout, like she really wanted him to stay, he patted her on the head, saying "Don't worry, I won't be long."

After giving him a small smile, along with an okay, the two boys walked towards the training area. Sensing somebody approaching, Rin turned to be greeted by the other two females in the room, "Hello."

"Hi." "Hey" Kimberly and Aisha answered back, as they looked to see Shoji being dumb enough to try and use Will's age to talk him down, only to flinch a bit when said man was knocked flat on his back, with a strong, fast punch right square in the face, with Will, not even uttering a word. After shaking the cobwebs from his head, feeling like he got hit by a flying brick, Shoji got up and the little duel was in full swing. "Is your friend going to be okay?" Kimberly asked.

Rin gave them a smile, pretty much this is a regular thing for them, "Yes, Shoji is somebody that isn't afraid to speak his mind and demand what he would like, sometimes getting too far ahead of himself, so this is nothing new." She explained. While watching as it seems like Shoji was throwing attacks, while Will just blocked, dodged, and only seemed to attack when he found an opening. "And what about Will-kun, does he always seem so mature?"

Both girls had a sly grin on their faces, while not knowing what the kun is usually used for, they had a good idea, "Kun huh, sounds like something romantic." Aisha said, causing the girl to blush, yet they still had some girl talk going on between them, while Daigo made sure to keep Kou away in order to eavesdrop, or at least, try to make himself the center of attention. Everybody else have broken up and talk about different things, even Kaku seemed interested when Billy asked if he can help improve some of the technology to help their fight with the Gorma without effecting his sticking to mostly the old ways approach towards running the team. Rocky is talking to Daigo, who is able to keep a good grip on Kou, and Adam is having a nice chat with Ryo and Kazu. Will is still slapping Shoji silly.

Rin decided to bring up a certain duo that Will was telling her about before he got challenged, "Will was telling me about two nutty friends of yours, Bulk and Skull?" She said, not sure if she got the names right, "Can you tell me more about them? They sound really funny?"

Kimberly and Aisha couldn't help but laugh, thinking about the two who tend to be troublemakers, even unintentionally. Being one of the two who has known them the longest, "Nutty is putting it mildly . . ." Kimberly started to say, remembering how those two tried to act like tough bullies, only to turn out to be just misunderstood softies.

Meanwhile . . .

Bulk and Skull are on the run from a Sumo stadium, Bulk dressed like a Sumo Wrestler. Reason why? They were being chased by angry Sumo Wrestlers, after Bulk got thrown by a bigger one, into Skull, which in turn, due to a domino effect, knocked over a waiter carrying a tray of food, which hit another Sumo who was eating, only to have his food fly out, with one mess leading to another. After everything calmed down, know the two are running for dear life because they became the scapegoats who don't want to become pancakes.

Dairanger HQ

After half an hour of talking, with the little duel ending at the halfway point, since Will decided to return after wearing out his opponent. During that time, Rin learned what Aisha and Kimberly knew of Will, and couldn't help but to want to get to know him more. Kaku walked up to Will and Rin, getting your attention, "You fought well, Will." He said, "Instead of fighting back, you let your opponent fight himself, even when you struck him."

Will gave a small nod, "Thanks," He said, acknowledging the compliment, "All though, I think you have more that you want to share with us."

Nodding his head, Kaku was really liking this kid, "I noticed that you have Chi, and it seems to have awakened." He said, getting the Dairangers attention, shocked ones, while the Power Rangers were curious on what he was talking about.

"He has what, now?" Rocky asked what was going through their minds.

"Chi is a form of spiritual energy found from within, that once found, can be made into a physical form. While different for everybody, like a sword, it can either make a person stronger or destroy them." Kaku explained, His eyes never leaving Will, "And it's not just chi I'm sensing, yet other energies flowing through you as well, energies that wait to be awakened." Now everybody had a good idea how special the MM Green Rangers seems to be, "Do you by any chance meditate?" He asked, having a good idea on how the chi could have been awakened.

Will nodded, "Yeah, meditate, Tai Chi, different things." He explained.

Kaku nodded, "Then you have a good start, although, before you leave, I would like to give you a few pointers on how to utilize your chi the right way." He said, getting a nod in return, before his chi picked up something. Grabbing what looked like a small remote control, and pointed at what appeared to be a TV screen, revealing one of the monsters they fought, grown to a size almost as tall as a mountain, "And it looks like the dinosaur that Daigo have fought is back."

Will spoke up before either of the reds could, "Well, in that case, how about making it a Dino vs Dragon fight, right Ryo?" He said, turning towards the chef of the group.

Ryo looked curious on what he was talking about until it clicked, "Of course, Will, I would be more then glad to see what the Power Rangers can do in a fight." He said, with a smile.

Will gave a small nod, "The rest of you stay here as backup, just in case." He ordered everybody, before the duo left.

After they left, Kou asked, "In case of what?"

"In case they have back up." Adam said, "Since we fought four monsters from the Gorma, then chances are, they might be trying for an ambush."

"And right now, with so many strong opponents, it would be better to strategize then attack head first." Kazu said, ignoring Shoji from rolling his eyes, due to their rivalry.

"Indeed," Kaku said, "I believe your friend might find what this world has in store for him in the future." He then towards the one he considers his niece, "And I'm pretty sure somebody well be joining him."

And said person couldn't help but blush, knowing who he was referring to.

On the Battlefield

Suited up, Ryo pulled out his Star Sword and, like He-Man, stuck it up into the air, yelling "Mythical Summoning! RyuseiOh!"

Outside of the darkness, a Chinese dragon came flying out. (To put it simply, just picture the Thunderzords considering what they're based off of.) RyuuRanger then jumped on top of its head. With a strong stream of fire coming out of its mouth, "HOT! HOT! HOT!" Gave the monster a bad case of hot everything.

Jumping into the creature, Ryo commanded "RyuseiOh, Warrior Change!" And as said, RyuseiOh went from dragon shaped to human shaped, with an oversized Dairen Rod in his hands.

On a tall building, holding the Dragon Dagger, Will did his part, "I need Dragonzord Power! Now!" He yelled out, before placing the dagger to the mouth part of his helmet, and played the notes to summon his friend.

And like it's usual entrance, the Dragonzord pops out of the sea and charges towards battle. When it arrived, the monster got blasted by the finger rockets.

Dairanger HQ

Everyone that is watching couldn't keep their eyes off the screen, watching two dragons from two different teams fighting side by side like old friends, even more so for the Dairanger for seeing the Power Ranger dragon fighting on its power, with a few commands played by Will.

Kazu spoke up, "So your dragon can do things on its own?"

"Only when it's by itself, and as long as Will still has the Dragon Dagger," Billy started to explain, "When it combines with our zords, then it needs us in it."

This was when the dumbbell monster popped out of nowhere, and attacked the Dragonzord, which seemed to be putting up a good fight, yet still having a bit of trouble. This was also when Will's voice rang out on everybody's communicator, "Billy, Adam, Aisha, I need you three to come join this battle. Right now, Battle Mode is going to be needed." After getting some acknowledgment from his order, "Daigo, Shogi, Kazu, Rin, you guys come to, Ryo is going to need Dairen'Oh for his monster." After getting the same answer from the four said Dairangers, "Rocky, Kimberly, Kou, you guys try to locate where the other two are, chances are, these two are just a distraction for something else." The feed cut off when he got only two acknowledgements from his friends.

"Why didn't he ask for me?" Kou asked out loud, with a slight pout, while the eight people requested left to join the fight, "I could help with Won Tiger."

Rocky and Kimberly looked at each other, before turning to the boy, "Kou, you think you're a superhero, don't you?" Rocky asked, getting a nod in return, "Well, even superheroes have to learn to be a team player."

"Also, Kou," Kaku continued, "You need to remember that one of the best ways to win a battle is to make sure you learn what your opponent is trying to think so that you can be ready to counter what is thrown at you."

Kou only nodded, with the pout still on his face.

Battlefield

Both RyuuRanger and Green Ranger were having a bit of a tough time with their opponents, tough being that their zords are only making a few dents, until their backup arrived in way of catching the two monsters off guard with their weapons. Looking towards where the shots came from, the two rangers watched as their backup came running in, more like the three Power Rangers were running, while the Dairangers were flying in the Heavenly Chi Palace formation.

"Sorry we're late; you know how bad traffic can be during rush hour." Aisha said.

Deciding to take a crack, "Oh don't worry, the cake should be just about done by now." Ryo said, trying to use some American humor, even though some of it would go over his head.

"Close enough." Will said, "Okay everybody, time to combined." He then turned towards his zord, "Dragonzord Battle Mode, Now!" (I know, I know, before somebody gives me grief on the name, remember, since the names in MMPR kept changing, don't think the writers knew what to call it either.)

The chest plate on the Dragonzord floated off, as the arms retracted into the slots behind it. Once fully in, the shoulders folded together to where the wings matched the foot symbol on the Green Rangers coin. After combing with the Masterton, which made the arms, Saber-Tooth Tiger and Triceratops Dinozords, which became the feet, the mouth opend up completely to reveal what looks like a face with a pair of shades on.

In the cockpit, with the Green Ranger at the helm, and everybody else at their station, "Dragonzord Battle Mode, Ready!" (I know, you never really see the MM Green Ranger at the cockpit, yet the reason you don't see it on MMPR is because the footage is from Zyurangers, and the reason why theirs isn't piloting is because he can't due to the fact that he slowly dies every time he fights. Which is why I'm doing things my way in this fic.)

Over at the Dairangers they yelled out "Gosei Fusion! Dairen'Oh!" (And since it's what the Thunder Megazord is supposed to be, why describe the transformation?") After being completed, "Dairen'Oh! Battle Ready!"

After both giant robots combined, they started to fight back, both starting off with a punch towards their opponents.

Somewhere in Tokyo

Rocky, Kimberly and Kou are running towards a location that Kaku found through mediation, and told them through a CB radio. Despite the explosions going off in the background, and the ground shaking, they are determined to find out what their opponents are up to. When they got to a warehouse, they ended up getting ambush by Cotportos, forcing them to transform, and put up a strong fight, while wondering what is going on inside.

Battlefield

Battle between good and evil, supersized, came to an end when the two monsters blew up, and the machines are standing up straight. In the cockpits, Kaku's voice rang out onto the communicators, "Everyone, Rocky, Kimberly and Kou are overwhelmed by the Gorma, you need to help them fast."

"On our way." Everyone responded, before leaving the zords/mechas, and letting them return to their resting places.

After arriving, and taking care of all the small fry, that seemed to never end, they noticed that not only was the warehouse empty of whoever is supposed to be waiting for them, yet can't help but wonder if they were something else.

"Okay, what is going on here?" Kimberly asked what is on everybody's minds.

Well, here is the latest chapter, and sorry it took a while, been watching Dairanger, and just found a website that has all Power Rangers episodes, so mainly, I got some catching up to do. And hope nobody minds the couple I got planned. Anyway, Read and Review, and Happy Father's Day to all those who chose to be a dad above all other duties.
