THE OTHER RANGER

Disclaimer: I don't own the Power Rangers or Super Sentai.

Sorry for not updating for so long, life keeps getting in the way, and been dealing with a really bad case of depression lately, that has been effecting a lot of things in my life lately, which includes my writing. I am getting help, so at least I have something going for me. That, and the fact that I've went back to college to work towards my Bachelor's Degree, so basically, things like homework and assignments have been getting in my way lately.

As for Power Rangers, lately, with what they been doing lately, especially with the MMPR reboot movies that came out a while ago, just doesn't feel like Power Rangers to me anymore. Not sure it's the sentimental part, the generation gap, or what, but lately, ever since Power Rangers return under Saban's control, and started running on Nick, been wondering if Saban has been taking too many shortcuts on some things lately, along with trying to recover the damage done by both Samurai and Megaforce due to picking the wrong guy to run things. And with the movie, not sure if it's worth the risk, especially if it's more off balanced when compared to the original movie.

Anyway, while I might make everything from MMPR to RPM as is, somewhat, and if people want me to, I'll leave Dino Charge and Ninja Steel alone a bit, yet Samuri and Megaforce/Super Megaforce, those I would overhaul, along with doing my own version of Gokaiger, Go-Busters, ToQger, and Zyouhger. Kyuranger, get the feeling that Saban might use that after Ninja Steel, considering that not only would Power Rangers get their first official Orange Ranger, but also, the first official female Green Ranger.

And about Kou and Rin, messed on some of the info, mainly wrote it before I came upon some episodes, so this chapter would make things a bit right, like Kou is living with his mother, who was found some time ago, not Rin, yet she is still trying to be the big sister to him, despite her wanting to pound the living daylights out of him for being a little pervert.

So now, on with the story

Gorma Palace

In a world that is so distorted, that it has what looks like an Egyptian Pyramid floating upside down in the air, and inside a chamber of said pyramid, are the top officials of the Gorma Tribe. Sitting on a ledge, was a pale face man, dressed as some sort of monk. This is the 15th Emperor of the Gorma. In front of him are the three assigned to try and take over the Earth, by starting with Tokyo, Japan. Their names being Lt. Cols Shadam and Gara, along with the final, Major Zydos. (If you want a description of the trio, look up Dairangers and see for yourself. The way they look, or rather how they're dressed, wouldn't match the rating I have for this fic any good.)

Shadam was the one to step up, "Milord, why did you have our forces raid some human's warehouse?" He asked, trying to come off as more loyal then peeved.

The Emperor gave a big childlike grin, making it easy to forget that this being had big power within him. "Because with these so called Power Rangers helping our enemy, I have decided to see if we can create our own team of Sentai to fight them."

Zydos was the next to step up, "Forgive me my Emperor, but didn't we already tried that with the Dairangers?" He asked, referring to the Copy Empress.

"Close, but no." The Emperor answered, the amused look never leaving his face, "What we did was have one of our soldiers copy the Dairangers and have them, in essence, fight themselves." He explained, "What I wish to do is to build a team of rangers from the ground up."

Now Gara decided to make her known. "So you plan to use that junk to create this team of rangers, My Emperor?" After getting a bigger grin as confirmation, "And how do you plan to pull this off?"

This was when an unfamiliar voice made himself known. "Perhaps I can be of some assistance." Everyone turned towards the entrance of the room, to see Lord Zedd, and right by his side, his at the moment loyal flying monkey, Goldar.

And out of reflex, the trio attacked the guests with their Yo whips, only to be shocked, including literally, when Zedd disintegrated them with the power from his staff, and send them flying into a nearby wall.

Sensing that this being is just as powerful as he is gruesome looking, "And what is it that you can help me with?"

Teens World Martial Arts Competition-Two days later

After their little scuffle with two of the four Gorma monsters, and finding out that they decided to raid a warehouse, with no idea why they would do such a thing, the Rangers decided to enjoy their trip some more, while learning a bit more from their Sentai counterparts, and Will, along with the rest of the Rangers, got to learn a few things from Kaku on meditating and finding their inner Qi, with Will getting a good grasp of some things stirring form within.

Right now, while Billy and Kimberly, after having fun checking out the last two events, are in the stands, alongside Rocky, Aisha and Adam, watching as their friend is going through the preliminaries of the competition. While it's going to be tournament style, unfortunately, thanks to some small clerical error, apparently too many participants, they had to improvise on squeezing everybody. Which are why there two different types of competitions going on. One involving one-on-one, which Will is competing in, and a team-vs-team, to where teams of three have to battle each other as a whole. This is where Adam, Rocky and Aisha decided to participate in.

After spending about three hours at the arena, which was used for the team part of the competition, and watching as said trio managing to make it to the qualifying rounds, with Will watching alongside Kimberly and Billy, now, it was time to reverse roles, with Will out in the ring. By their side were their new friends, the Dairangers, who each one is able to make time to watch the American Rangers in action. Or rather, most of them, since Kou is stuck in school, and stuck even longer since his mother has to play damage control for a prank that he pulled on his teacher.

Facing Will is an opponent with a cocky, overconfident smirk on his face, and also a local, somebody who would rather talk his opponent down, or at least, weaken them, before attacking, mainly the ones who relies on deception over power. Plus, judging by how this guy knew enough English to include something similar to a British accent, this guy probably came from a rich background. "So lowlife, are you ready to lose?" His opponent asked, once the referee gave the go ahead, only to not get the response he was hoping. Instead, Will just got into a basic stance, and stayed there, not falling for the trap. Losing his patience so quickly, "Well, aren't you going to answer you loser?" When he still didn't get a response, he snapped, "If you're not going to move, I'm going over there and knock your eyes out."

All Will did was change his stance, or rather, reversed it, to where his left hand was sticking out towards his opponent, and his right hand is at the ready, before turning his hand into where the palm is facing him, "Then come get some." He responded, while waving his hand in a 'come here' motion.

Not realizing that he took the bait, the boy charged in, "That's it you're *POW!*" He started saying, until a single punch square to his face knocked him out.

This caused action around the mat to stop, with a lot of folks, minus the 5 Power Rangers in the stands, to have a gob smacked look on their faces. Not only did his fight literally end with a single punch, but also, made people wonder if his opponent was really that strong to begin with, especially considering the locals knew who the boy's parents were, who are currently in the audience, with their jaws now on the ground.

After the ref has regained his composure, and shook his head in disappointment, "Winner, Will Walker!" This allowed Will to step off the mat, while the medics came by to carry the unconscious boy away.

The next match between the next two started just as Will was halfway towards the waiting area, waiting for his next matchup.

Outside of the arena-Three hours later

After making his way through the preliminaries, Will, with the rest of the group were just stepping out of the arena, heading towards Ryu's restaurant. Amongst them was Kou. Apparently, his little prank became the last straw, and his school decided to give him a week's suspension as punishment, while his mother decided to see if Ryu or Daigo wouldn't mind having him do chores at their places of work in order to teach him responsibility. And after a slight game of odds or evens, Daigo is stuck with the kid in the pet shop he works.

After being told about what he would be doing, from feeding, which wouldn't be too bad for Kou, to cleaning out the cages, which included what came out the other end, "Ah man, do I really have to do that?" He asked, throwing a fit.

"That's what it means to grow up, kid." Shoji said, "If you don't start becoming more responsible for your actions, then nobody will trust you with anything."

"And besides Kou," Kimberly said, getting his attention, "Even if your powers do make you taller, you still have some growing up to do, before you actually become taller."

And like any other time, just as they rounded the corner leading towards the restaurant, their moment of peace and quiet was interrupted by "Cotportos!" Daigo said, who were waiting for them, with what appears to be a new ally, "What are those?"

"Putties." Adam answered, "Looks like Zedd is in town."

"Any advice on dealing with them?" Kazu asked.

"Yeah, aim for the Z on their chest, it's their main weakness." Aisha answered.

"Got it." Shoji said, before the dozen split into pairs to take care of the goon squad.

Adam and Ryo are the ones furthest away, making sure Ryo's restaurant doesn't become a casualty of the whole thing.

Rocky and Kou aren't too far behind, Rocky fighting off two different kinds of henchmen, while Kou was pulling off a mini-Jackie Chan style.

Kimberly and Daigo are next, along with Aisha and Kazu, Billy and Shoji, and finally, Will and Rin. Each pair fighting off their share of a larger than usual number of their random henchmen fights, yet not feeling much different from any other fight. With Will and Rin, Will sent a punch into the Z in the Putty to his left before turning around to cup his hands, "Rin!" He yelled out.

After kicking a Cotportos into a Putty, Rin turned around, and had a good idea what Will had planned. Running up to him and with perfect timing, placed her foot into his hands, and with a big boost, leapt high into the air, and with her Chi, launched a big gust of wind, sending their opponents flying in all directions, while Will braced himself enough so that he too doesn't end up flying off himself. When she landed, almost like they were dancing, the duo started taking out the stragglers.

After the last of the foot soldiers have fallen, everyone looked around, trying to figure out what's going on. "Anybody get the feeling that something was off about that?" Adam asked.

Will gave a small sigh, "Yes, and the answer is going to be anything but good." He said, before turning towards the RyuuRanger, "Hey Ryo, does your restaurant do take out?"

Ryo looked at Will, surprised at how direct the question was. "Yes it does, why?" He answered.

Will nods at this, "Because I don't think any of us would feel too happy leaving Master Kaku out of a meal while we discuss what just happened." He explained, before walking towards the restaurant. Everyone took a look at each other and followed suit.

Dairanger HQ-One hour later

After waiting about 10 mins for the food to get cooked, about another 20, 25 minutes to get to HQ, and the rest of the time spent eating the food that was brought, although Kaku had to explain to the Power Rangers that while he looks human, he is a Gorma who seen the light, meaning food isn't really a necessity for him. Yet the Power Rangers just shrugged it off and said that if he has proven himself to be a good person, than he is alright in their books.

Anyway, after spending the rest of the hour eating their meal, and getting their Sentai counterparts caught up to speed on who Lord Zedd is, his flying monkey Goldar, with Kimberly and Billy telling them about their fight with Rita Repulsa, and how things came to be, thanks to some of the information Zordon gave them.

"Yes, if what you said about this Lord Zedd is true, then if he does team up with the Gorma, than there will be cause for concern." Kaku said.

"Although chances are, we won't have to worry this being a permanent alliance." Billy said.

"Yeah, because those two probably won't tolerate each other for too long." Rocky said.

"But why did we get attacked?" Kou asked.

"Because they are planning something big and their bosses were giving us a warning." Kazu answered, "And chances are, nobody is going to like it either way."

Everyone nodded at this, "Agreed," Kaku said, "And until something happens, I well keep an eye out on anything that would require your attention, while all of you enjoy the rest of your day."

Getting a nod from everybody, especially the Dairangers, since they knew that their mentor can be as stubborn as a mule when he gave certain orders.

The dozen made it to a park, only to notice waiting for them, is the werewolf and gargoyle Gorma, along with a big wave of Cotportos and Putty Patrollers. "Get ready rangers, because you're going to be in for a surprise." The werewolf said.

Both launched an attack that covered the two teams with an explosion of dust and smoke, while everybody covered themselves with their arms as a natural response. Barely 5 seconds later, all twelve figures jumped out, suited up, and ready for combat. Rocky and Will took on the werewolf, while Ryo and Daigo went after the gargoyle. The rest took care of the underlings, with their side weapons out and about, taking care of them blow after blow.

The two monsters proved to be a bit of a challenge for the four fighting them, like they have been given some kind of power boost. While the werewolf blocked a strike attack from Will's Dragon Dagger and Rocky's Power Sword with his arms, only to smack the two aside like they were nothing more than paper weights, with Ryo and Daigo being launched by a strong gust of wind created by the gargoyle's wings.

When the rest took care of the underlings, and decided to join the fight, except for Kou, they got a surprise when both monsters launched a combination wind and sonic attack, that sent them flying towards the four that got knocked aside earlier.

"Hey!" Kou yelled out, getting their attention, which turned out to be a bad idea, because just as he was getting ready to start swinging Byakkoshinken (Saba in Power Rangers), instead, got sent flying by a double punch by the two, with his sword flying out of his hands.

While KibaRanger landed hard on his back, his eyes opened just in time to watch as his saber landing into the left hand of the MM Green Ranger, while the Dragon Dagger stayed firmly in his right.

Will, after feeling a slight power surge from catching the blade in his hand, and listening to what seemed like a small, growling voice, he swung his arms to where the weapons crossed each other. When they both stuck outward, with the blades sticking skyward, Will charged towards the two monsters, both blades getting struck by lightning, lighting them up in a green and white color, individually.

When he reached the pair, it was the monsters turn to be on the receiving end, with the combinations of slashes and blocks, not letting up. Just as it became time for the final slash, both blades became a bit brighter, before the final blow, resulting in a x-slash. When Will started to walk away, the two monsters started to spark before they collapsed into an exploding end, nobody noticing a strange energy being released.

When he reached the rest of the group, who were now back on their feet, "Here." Will said, as he tossed Byakko back to his partner

"Byakko, are you okay?" Kou asked.

Byakko's head was spinning, with stars flying over its head, saying "Could somebody stop the field from spinning, I would like to get off now."

Unfortunately, what little peace they had left, and just before they could attempt to power down, *BOOM!* all twelve were knocked down to their feet. When they recovered, to their shock, they felt like they were looking at themselves, yet they were giving off a vibe that spoke danger on a different level.

And from the looks of some of them, these rangers are seriously bad news.

Well, here is the latest chapter. Sorry for it not being much, especially the fight scenes, been going through a dry spell in terms of, well, not just writing, but also, been doing some soul searching, mainly, trying to figure myself out. No luck so far, go figure. Anyway, as for the evil rangers, well, thought I give the Psycho Rangers a bit of a better origin story, considering how connect the first six seasons of Power Rangers are to each other. Read and Review, and Happy Holidays.
