THE OTHER RANGER
Disclaimer: I don't own the Power Rangers.
Hey everyone, here is the next chapter. Been busy living life, and all that jazz, along with adding new chapters to my other stories.
This chapter is going to take place during the 'A Friend In Need' three parter, the one that introduced Masked Rider. And no, my character well not be apart of that adventure, which well be explained in this chapter. Instead, since I skipped quite a bit of Season 2 episodes in order to get starter on the Season 3 part of the series, this chapter is going to be more of a filler chapter. Although, to let you know, since I haven't seen the episodes for a long time now, there is no guarantee I would get any of it right.
Had a chapter planned involving politics, but since there was a crazy presidential election recently, didn't want to start anything you would see on social media. So I'm just going to leave politics out of this story as much as possible.
Now on with the story.

In the middle of a park, Will is meditating by a pond. The only noise that could be heard is nature, from the wind blowing to the birds singing. From a distance, it looked like a teenage enjoying the view, yet up close, one would notice a faint green and gold glow surrounding his body, illuminating like some kind of flame.
The last couple of months were, for a lack of a better term, crazy. It started with the return of Rita Repulsa, and her marriage to Lord Zedd, plenty of scrutiny no doubt. Yet from what Goldar has hinted, they spend more time insulting each other than working together.
Another thing to occur was when Zedd sent the Wizard of Deception to create Tommy's clone, as the Green Ranger. Turns out, that was the very coin that gave Will his Green Ranger powers and when they started to fight each other, . If it wasn't for Will being able to teleport to the Command Center in time, who knows what could have happened.
Yet it wasn't until after they finished their adventure when things changed.
Flashback
In the Command Center, everybody, still morphed while holding their helmets, was looking at Will, who was lying unconscious on an exam table. Still morphed, but some form of energy is fluctuating around him like some sort of forcefield.
"Zordon, what can we do?" Billy asked, "Is there a solution for Will?"
"I'm not sure, Billy." Zordon said, "This is the first time I have seen something like this. Once the origins of Will's dragon coin were revealed, he is stuck in what I believe is a temporal limbo."
"A temporal limbo, what is that?" Adam asked, everybody looking between Will and Zordon.
"A temporal limbo is something of a mystery that has never been solved anywhere." Alpha answered, "Anything recorded is treated as some sort of myth, not to be taken seriously."
"So this energy is because Will is stuck in time?" Aisha asked.
"More or less." Alpha said, "Although we have been picking up traces from the morphing grid."
"Wait, how can the morphing grid be affecting Will?" Billy said, "Well it affect us as well?"
"We aren't sure, until we sort out the data involving Will." Zordon said, "As for yourselves, you should be safe, since your circumstances are different from Will's"
"So what now?" Adam asked.
Kimberly turned to Tommy, "Tommy can your coin help Will?" She asked.
"I'm not sure Kimberly, since Zedd drained it completely the last time I used it." Tommy said.
"Zordon, since Rocky's coin should have the Green Ranger powers on it, could it break through the field surrounding Will?" Billy asked.
"It's a possibility, although Tommy would have to use his dragon coin as a sort of filter." Zordon said. "Alpha, can you teleport the coin here, please."
"Right away, Zordon." Alpha said, going to the necessary controls. With a few buttons being pressed, said coin appeared on a table closest to Tommy.
When he picked up the coin, Tommy could feel a wave of memories going through him. Yet with his friend in peril, he needs to stay focused.
"Okay Tommy, Rocky, both of you place your coins above Will's coin. With Rocky's on top, while Tommy's well be in the middle, serving as a filter." Zordon said, "And everybody else, cross your fingers and hope this works."
Rocky and Tommy did as they were told, standing on both sides of Will. After hovering the coins like a column for what felt like hours, something happened that would be engraved into their minds.
A beam of light from Rocky's and Will's coins shot out into Tommy's Green Ranger coin, causing it to start lighting up. As if it was being given a new life, both beams cut off, causing Tommy's coin to shine on its own, showing that the Green Rangers within have been restored.
Looking like it was returning some kind of favor, Tommy's coin shot towards Will's, establishing some kind of connection. What followed, was when the rest of the coins shot out their own beams of light into Will's, creating a 'Power the Rainbow' moment. After the lights connected, the field started to fluctuate rapidly.
When the lights disconnected, a bright light shone through the Command Center. When it died down, everyone noticed that Will's Green Ranger went through a change, the biggest being two gold lines going along the top of his helmet. (The one Disney used on Dino Thunder, when Tommy was in his coma, fighting his past selves.)
When he started to move, everybody held their breath. Once he started to get up, "Are you okay Will?" Aisha asked.
Giving a small sigh, before reaching for helmet, "I've been better." Will said, while taking off the helmet. "Right now I feel off for some reason."
Flashback ends.
After a few minutes of explaining, Will knew he had to deal with what might be new powers that came with these changes. One of the changes, as they found out later on, was to his coin, which went from a footprint to the face of what looked like a medieval dragon.
The last few battles have shown that anything new is going to be staying dormant until a certain amount of time. Everything is almost the same, other than his green ranger powers feeling stronger than usual.
As for Tommy, while it has been confirmed by scans that his Green Ranger coin is working, he gave it to Will. Saying while he is glad to be the White Ranger, he can't guarantee that he would give into temptation to use his old powers again. While Will was asking if he was sure, Tommy just said yes, that what he is doing is a way of confirming that there is still no ill-will towards who the Green Ranger currently is.
Will is currently keeping the coin in a box, in a safe place from anybody's eyes. Planning on giving it back to Tommy when it becomes time for them to leave Angel Grove. One thing they all agreed on, is that while being a Power Ranger is probably one of the greatest gifts anybody could ask for, yet it definitely won't be forever. By the time graduation hits, they well all have to leave for a life outside of high school, and the fate of the Power Rangers as a whole is very questionable.
Now getting into current events, right now there are only two rangers available in Angel Grove, Will being one of them, Kimberly in bed with a cold. The rest went to some planet called Edenoi, which turns out to be Alpha's home planet, and see how things are going.
While he wanted to go, Will felt it would be better to stay on Earth, to keep Zedd and Rita in check. While Kimberly is willing to fight, even at a disadvantage, it would be better if she didn't have to deal with one of Zedd's monsters along. And if that monster were to become gigantic, the Dragonzord would be the only thing capable of keeping it busy until backup shows up.
And since things were peaceful at the moment, Will felt now would be a good time to get some meditation done. Try to access what feels like another presence inside of him, another soul, but it's hard to describe, something even Zordon is clueless about. Yet by becoming so focused, he was cut off from the world to the point that he can't hear his communicator going off.
When the light faded, Will blinked open his eyes, the sensitivity to the sunlight indicating he has been out for quite a while. Once his hearing came into focus, that was when Will finally heard his communicator. Looking around first to see if he was safe, he placed his wrist close to his mouth.
"What is it Zordon?" Will asked, after pushing the button. Then when he released it, struggled to get back up, while fighting with numb legs.
"Kimberly is fighting against Zedd's latest monster Repellator, and her cold is serving as a distraction." Zordon said. "You need to help her immediately to defeat it."
"On my way." Will said. "Its Morphin Time!Dragonzord!"

Over with Kimberly, she was having a heck of a time fighting a monster, while sneezing her head off between punches. Although when the monster grabbed her, even with the helmet, she was able to sneeze on it.
"Hey, you sneezed on me!" Repellator said, feeling repulsed at human germs.
A loud "That would be the least of your worries!" rang out.
"Say what!" Repellator said, looking just in time to get sent flying by a kick to the face.
When he landed on his feet, "Are you okay, Kimberly?" Will asked, getting into a fighting position.
"I am now." Kimberly said, after getting over a sneezing fit. Getting ready to fight again.
"Easy for you to say." Repellator said, as it started to sneeze hard enough to cause earthquakes. "I'm out of here." It said, before teleporting away.
"Let's head back to the Command Center." Will said.
"Yeah." Kimberly complied, before both placed their hands onto their buckles, teleporting away themselves.

Command Center
Will is standing in the middle of the Command Center, helmet in hand, while Kimberly is with Alpha, getting hers clean and sterilized. Apparently, sneezing inside a helmet leaves a snotty mess that needs attention soon.
"So the others are on their way back from Edenoi, right?" Will asked.
"Yes, Alpha got a hold of them just before you got here." Zordon said. "During your meditation, were you able to find that other presence."
"Yeah Zordon, and I think it might have something to do with the Dragonzord itself." Will explained. "When I found the source of the presence, I found what looked like a new form of the Dragonzord, but it was behind a strong barrier. When I tried to access it, the one thing it kept saying was 'new power,' but it wasn't Thunder when I asked."
"Did it say what kind of power you need?" Zordon asked, having an idea on who might be needed soon.
"It did, but it sounded like ninja." Will said, "Don't suppose you have any idea on what it's talking about?"
"I believe I might, but now would not be a good time to talk about it." Zordon said, just as the other five rangers beamed in.
Giving Zordon a brief nod, Will turned towards his friends, "So how was your trip to another world?" He asked, just as Kimberly walked back with a now cleaner helmet.
After they shared their experience, and wishing they could do more, the alarm goes off. "Ai yi yi!" Alpha yelled out, "Repellator is back, and he's ginormous!"
"Well, time to break out the zords." Will said.
"You got that right." Tommy said, before everybody got into position. "Back to Action!"
When all seven teleported out, "Zordon, do you think Will meant Ninjor when it came to new powers?" Alpha asked.
"Yes Alpha, no doubt about it." Zordon said, "And if Will has somehow established a connection with the morphing grid, then it's a warning that the powers of thunder has reached its limit."
Hey folks, here is the latest chapter. Sorry it is not much, was not too sure how to approach this, especially with the zord fight, so I just decided to leave it be. It is pretty much the same, but adding the Dragonzord into the mix would have been kind of pointless. Hoping to make the Ninja Quest episodes more worth it. Read and Review, and have a safe Valentine's/President's Day weekend.
