And we're back to this fic! I skipped a head a little bit to where the events of the Power Ranger's Movie meshes with the TV show. For the new readers, when it comes to the origin of the Ninjetti powers, I chose the events of the movie to the events of the TV show. (Just a preference.) I have found a way to mesh them seamlessly and that's what this chapter is about.

In rereading this fic before I began this chapter, I found some minor errors and they will be fixed shortly. Mainly the name of Tommy and Kim's son. I had originally named him Jay and then forgot that was his name and chose Maverick. For the record, his name is Maverick and I will be going back to change them when I have time.

The only warning for this chapter is use of suggestive and foul language. For my longtime readers, this is not shocking. But for my newcomers, this does happen when necessary for the story.

Anyway, I do believe that does it for any warnings. Get to reading and I'll see you at the bottom!

Pebble Brook Manor

The Dojo

Tommy sat quietly in the Dojo. Kim was fast asleep and he wanted her to stay that way. Their son, Maverick was nestled against him, secure in the baby sling that was wrapped around his bare torso. The baby had been restless and lately, it seemed the only way to get him to sleep was to carry him around and to be outside.

The morning was peaceful and that helped him also relax. No one on their team spoke of it, but, this week was the anniversary of their fight with Ivan Ooze.

They'd fought hard and it had tested their battle skills; their beloved city, though trashed from the fight, was safe and the rebuilding hadn't taken more than a couple of years. However, with the win came a personal loss for him.

It wasn't until a couple of days later that Tommy had gotten a visit from Fred Kelmen's father. His uncle had been killed at some point during the battle. He'd been found crushed and still strapped into his car under some wreckage about a block from the bank.

His last remaining family member was gone and now, he really was an orphan.

"Dr. O, are you okay?" Ethan asked as he and Conner walked into the room.

Tommy blew out a breath. "Yeah, I'm good. Just dredging up old memories."

"Is this another war story?" Ethan asked with an expectant look on his face.

"Kind of, but it's not pleasant. I'm not sure you want to hear about it."

The look on his former student's face darkened. "Hey, if it helps to talk about it, we're all ears."

Tommy sighed again. "It's nothing that hasn't been discussed among my Ninjetti team…especially with my mate. But it is apart of your history, though I pretty much glossed over it in the DVD."

When both men nodded, he continued. "What you don't know, is that my uncle Raymond was killed during the battle against Ivan Ooze. My adoptive parents had been dead since I was eight, and at this point, I didn't know about David or even about my heritage. All I had was an uncle that worked the semi professional race car circuit during the summer. When I turned sixteen, I was considered by him, old enough to take care of myself and all he had to do was sign me up for my junior year at Angel Grove high school, make sure my driver's license and insurance were current and that I had money to for food and clothing, oh and a roof over my head; then he was gone."

"But, the night of the fight, he'd driven back to the city looking for me, or so I assume. I didn't even know he'd come back, so when the cops showed up to inform me that his body had been found, it was a hell of a shock."

"By this time, Kim and I were living together for a solid year and we'd pretty much settled into our own bubble of domestic bliss. But as you might expect, during a disaster, there was looting and trashing in the not so well off neighborhoods like mine. When the party was over and we returned home, it was to a burned out house and a trashed garage. The only thing we had to our name was the Stingray which we'd left at the airport hanger just before we'd taken off for the charity skydiving event."

"Wait, Dr. O, you went sky diving for charity? Conner asked him.

Tommy nodded. "Yeah, we were major thrill seekers back then. We had The Power flowing through us and we always seemed to feel invincible. That fact that it was benefiting the Angel Grove conservatory was a bonus. It might sound crazy to a civilian, but after piloting giant zords, skydiving from 13,000 feet is nothing to worry about. In fact I was feeling so confident, I added on a board…just so I could sky surf for a while."

"Wow, I have got to try that sometime." Conner said with a grin.

Tommy grinned at him and nodded…then he took a deep breath and continued the story.

"From the time we boarded the plane till the time we ended the party, as best as Billy could figure, we were gone about three days; I have no idea how time works on Phados. During all that time, we lost our dino powers, space traveled where we faced off against possessed dinosaur skeletons, battled rock guardians and got new powers, traveled back to earth in our new zords, defeated Ivan Ooze and then got home to find that Kim and I were homeless and had lost everything."

"I nearly lost my mind when I saw the smoking remains of our house. Through our completed bond, Kim also felt my rage and made it her mission to get me out of there. It was her first time getting behind the wheel of that Sting Ray, but she drove us all the way to the cabin where we burned off our frustrations and then slept for three more days."

He paused and swallowed. "Eventually, the others came looking for us."

-Flashback-

Tommy woke up to someone pounding on the door.

"Tommy, Kim! It's me, Billy."

The leader of the rangers slowly extracted himself from his mate's embrace and threw on some clothes before opening the door. He closed it behind him and stood in front of it.

Rubbing the sleep from his eyes, he saw that the other rangers had come with him.

"Hey, guys, what's up?"

"You disappeared from Angel Grove. We were worried about you!" Rocky said from his spot beside Aisha. They were both leaning against the red jeep.

"Uh yeah, sorry about that, guys. We didn't have anywhere to crash since some assholes burned down our house. I lost it, and Kim drove us here, then the whole soul fusion thing kicked in."

"Yeah, we went by the remains of your house looking for you." Billy said solemnly. "You do realize that you could have at least contacted us over the communicators. We would have found you somewhere to crash for the night."

"No," Kimberly said as she joined him. She'd put her hair up in a messy ponytail and put on Tommy's old green hoodie and her pink shorts. "You wouldn't have wanted to witness what we've been doing the last couple of days. My mate was out of his mind and needed an escape. I won't apologize for that."

"No, we get it." Aisha said. "Rocky and I needed a time out for ourselves too."

"Anyway, we came to get you guys back." Adam said, finally speaking up. "Kim, your dad is looking for you. He's frantic."

"Any word from my Uncle?" Tommy asked. "I don't know if he was in the city during the fight."

"I can't say for sure, the dust is just now settling, and the workers are out in masse trying to make the city livable again." Adam paused for a breath. "We also have no idea what happened to those losers on the moon."

Tommy nodded. "Well, let's just hope that where ever they are, that they are in just as bad shape and won't be able to attack us for a while. I think this is a good time as any for us to take a breather. We can't afford to slack off on our training, but I'm sure we all have sore muscles to soothe."

Aisha nodded and then walked forward with a shopping bag. "I know it's nothing fancy, but we went to a Walmart outside of Angel Grove to get you some clothes."

Kim accepted the clothes. "I guess it's time to get back to our city."

End Flashback

"When we got back to the city, we found out that Fred's dad was looking for me...to inform me of my uncle's death. It was a sad time, but my team stuck with me through it all. According to the will, he didn't want to be buried, so he was cremated. There wasn't an official memorial, but they had a small one at the next race, as well as a moment of silence and stuff like that and they asked me to show up to get his final paycheck. I let them keep his ashes and his trophies. I didn't really care about that stuff. I just wanted to find some kind of normal again and start life up with Kim."

"Anyway, with Mr. Hart's help, we were able to get a good look at our financial situation and with some monetary help. We were able to get a comfy RV to live in and we spent the rest of our high school years living in it."

"Ok, but when did the manor come into the story?" Conner asked.

Tommy opened his mouth to answer, but then his baby started fussing.

"I guess that's a story for another time. I need to get this little guy to Kim for his feeding.

Taking that as a dismissal, the men departed the dojo.

Tommy quietly entered the Bird's Nest and saw that Kim was already sitting up in bed.

"He's hungry." Was all he said as he handed the fussy infant over. As Kimberly lifted up her pajama top to feed their son, Tommy sat down in the comfy chair as the memories from the day they moved in to the RV flooded his thoughts.

-Flashback-

Tommy opened the door to their new home as Kimberly stepped in, with just a duffle bag over her shoulder. Earlier that day, they'd had a small housewarming party, not that there was much room for that. One of the best gifts ever, besides the brand new blender that Rocky and Aisha had given them, were the gift cards to the grocery store. The small pantry was newly stocked and the fridge was full of the cold foods.

The only thing that their new home didn't come with was a washer and dryer. Thankfully, the laundromat wasn't more than a mile away and really, he didn't wear that many clothes.

Kim however was in dire straits. She'd lost all the clothes she'd acquired in the blaze and now had to start out with only the basics…again.

The only things of his own, from his green ranger days were just what had been in their shared suitcase. Mainly, that hoodie that Kim loved to wear during the winter nights. She'd taken such loving care of it, which seemed odd seeing as how he'd bought that piece of clothing at a thrift store on half price day.

But whatever…

Really, he had no complaints, after all, this RV was a brand new model and it was spacious enough for the both of them to watch some TV when they weren't making love. There was a table with cushioned seats to do their homework on, and a brand new kitchen stove and microwave were on the counter next to the blender.

"Tommy?"

He looked down at his mate and smiled. "Kimberly?

His mate was biting her lip, which he found adorable. "We're really on our own now. I didn't think this day would come so soon. What are we going to do?"

Tommy gave her a naughty grin and lifted her onto the counter.

Kimberly giggled at him. "Handsome, we have better places to do this."

"Don't get too excited, My Crane. I just wanted to kiss you and you're short…so…"

He trailed off as she gave him an evil look.

"Hey, let's just face the fact that we have a major height difference, ok?"

And impromptu staring contenst happened between them for a couple minutes and the Kimberly shook her head at him. "Don't think that cute smile will get you out of trouble. I maybe shorter than you, but don't forget that of the two of us, I'm the one who knows how to use a bow and arrow. All you have is a magic sword."

Instantly, Kimberly regretted those words as his naughty grin widened. "Well, Princess, you've never complained about my magic sword before."

Kimberly rolled her eyes at him. "You are lucky that you're cute! Now let me off this counter are you aren't getting laid tonight."

Tommy grinned at her and licked his lips. He pressed a thumb against the seam of her pink shorts and rubbed it in a small circle. "You sure about that, Kimmie?"

She snapped her legs closed around his hand. "Yeah, I am. You're not getting any pussy unless you get me off this fucking counter!

Tommy wasn't letting her off easily. "Interesting choice of words, beautiful,"

Kimberly swung out a leg, hoping to connect with his groin.

"Uh huh, beautiful." he said as he blocked her with his other hand. "Remember that we're one now. You can't use surprise attacks on me."

When she gave him a disgruntled look, he leaned in and kissed her hotly. She groaned feeling their bond come to life along with his body.

Their playfull moment was over as she felt herself surrender to his touch. In minutes they were moaning softly and grinding against eachother.

"Tommy…not here! The bed."

"Okay." Tommy muttered against her shoulder as he picked her up and carried her to the bed.

They RV rocked gently that night.

-Flashback over-

"Hey, come back to me handsome." Kim's voice was soothing in his ear as he came out of his memory.

Tommy sighed and rested against the headboard.

"Where did you go?" She said as he stroked his stomach. While he was lost in daydreams, she'd finished nursing their son and had put him in the nursery.

"The first night in the RV."

Kim sighed and laid her head against him. "That would explain a lot." She exhaled softly "It was a good night that led to a bittersweet one."

Tommy nodded. "I hated seeing you cry, but in the end, it worked out ok."

Kimberly nodded. "Yeah, Kayla was worth waiting for, both her and Mav."

Tommy kissed her and she moved her hand lower. "So, what do you want to do about this?"

He instantly knew what she was doing, and he welcomed it. Kimberly didn't like to think about what that night of sex had led to either and she was using instant gratification to make them both forget at least for now.

When she kissed him again, he surrendered to her love.
