Hey guys, I'm back! Things have been rough for me since I moved to the new place. I won't bore you with details but I've had to jump through a bunch of hoops only to find it was all for nothing. Anyway, I hope you all enjoy this chapter and will leave me some nice reviews to brighten my day!
This chapter take up from the last chapter of Miscreants. I want to state for the record that once again, this chapter was writing itself and I never meant for there to be so many Karate Kid parallels. But I personally love the first two movies and just couldn't help myself. This will probably the last chapter that i do it as I don't want the running joke to become redundant.
Anyway, this chapter took me a while to figure out how I wanted this thing to go. This chapter comes with a warning for brief derogatory language towards women and another warning for the little shot of citrus between our favorite couple.
I think that's about it for the AN. I hope everyone enjoys this chapter so I'll see you at the bottom!
The Miscreant's Suite
Ok, everything Mav will need is in this diaper bag." Kimberly said, handing the camo bag over to the teenagers. "I just fed him so he should be fine, but just in case, I made a bottle of formula in the insulated bag. Hopefully, this thing shouldn't take that long."
Autumn took Maverick in her arms and nodded. "I've got this Aunt Kim. Go do your Karate Kid thing."
At Tommy's sigh, she grinned and added. "Uncle Tommy, being compared to Mr. Miyagi is a huge compliment! If it weren't for him, Daniel San would have gotten pulverized. He took out two different gang of losers down and he did it unarmed."
"Thanks for the vote of confidence." Tommy answered as Kim took his hand.
"Like you need it." Kimberly said with a wry grin. "We've totally got this."
After getting the address to Final Strike Dojo, they hopped into the SUV Wes and rented and they headed down to the studio. As Wes drove them, Kimberly squeezed her husband's hand. He'd not said more than a few words since they left the hotel.
"Hey, where's your head at?"
Tommy smirked at her. "Not where I'd like it to be."
Kimberly grinned at him and shook her head. "You really think now's a good time to go down that particular path?"
"I wouldn't mind going down another path."
Wes was chuckling at them from the driver's seat, but he said nothing.
Tommy grinned at his wife. "I promise, I'm focused and ready for anything with this clown."
"So, who is this clown exactly?" Wes asked. "Does he really pose that much of a threat?"
Tommy shook his head. "Liam was and still is a major dick-head from back before Kim and I were mated. During my time under Rita's influence, I went down a really dark path; I was angry and violent and spoiling for a fight.
"During that time, Liam was from a rival dojo from another city. I don't remember a whole lot from that time, other than fighting the other rangers. At some point, I got into a fight with Liam and I won. I didn't see him again till after the spell was broken. I'd all but forgotten about him when he showed up again at least six months later. He was healed up and even angrier at me. He waited till I was alone and then challenged me; but I wasn't interested in fighting him. I told him over and over again that I wasn't interested, but he kept badgering me. Finally, he stepped over the line and threatened Kimberly. I gave in and agreed to a fight assuming that it was just a one on one fight. But as I said before, he fights dirty."
"I brought Jason as my second and just before we got to the meeting place, his brute squad jumped us and they managed to force me to my knees and then used a taser on me. It might have stopped my heart if not for The Great Power flowing through me."
"Didn't we see that move in Gladiator?" Wes asked frowning.
"I said the same thing when we watched the movie." Kimberly responded.
Tommy kissed his wife's hair and then continued the story. "It took me a few minutes to recover and then we continued to the meeting place. We fought and I still managed to beat his ass. After that, he left town and I didn't hear from him again…at least until that day at the mall. The letter he sent today is challenging me to another fight. I have no idea how he found us again, but now after all these years, he's still not leaving me alone."
Wes nodded keeping his eyes on the road. "I think he's stalking you. Maybe we should have brought more people with us. What are the chances that he'll try something else to weaken you?"
Tommy looked straight ahead. "It's been more than ten years since that fight went down and I've only gotten better. If he wants to try, let him."
Wes frowned. "No, I'm really asking if you think we could be followed. There's a seriously pumped out Ford following us. It's at least two car links behind us. If these cars turn off at this next intersection, he'd probably start riding my ass."
Tommy turned to look behind them. Sure enough there was a big truck following them. When he turned back to Wes, he asked. "So, how good is your insurance on this rental?"
"I got the basic liability inurance. I can pay for damages if i need to, but i'm really hoping i don't end up totalling this car."
"I don't think he'll try rear ending us. It's me he wants." Tommy said in a serious tone.
Wes nodded again. "I had a feeling this would happen, that's why Eric went ahead of me to scope the place out. The last text he sent me said that he's in the middle of classes right now."
Kimberly looked at her husband. "I'm guessing that he'll want an audience for when he takes you on."
Tommy's eyes were glowing faintly. "Or when I beat his ass again."
Final Strike Dojo
When they pulled up to the very fancy building, Tommy got out and looked at the structure. It was a very fancy building; the exterior was covered in shiny jet black stone and there were twin cobras guarding the entrance and they looked pretty intimidating. "Some people never change. He's definitely compensating for something."
Kimberly got out beside him and took his hand in hers. "So, let's go answer the challenge."
Just behind him, the black truck that had been stalking them pulled into the parking lot, revving the engine.
Tommy only rolled his eyes as Kimberly Wes and Eric joined them. The four of them stood untroubled as two more men that were definitely hopped up on steroids walked up to them. Both wore fitted black t-shirts that were way too small for them along with pants that were tight enough to display their bulges and it really made Kimberly uncomfortable.
Tommy looked down at her and squeezed her hand reassuringly.
The two guys walked up to them in what Tommy assumed was an 'intimidating' manor. It was laughable at best, but he kept his face unreadable.
"Hey guys. So nice of your to escort us to your dojo. I'm sure it would have been so easy to miss the big letters and gaudy exterior."
Neither of the dudes reacted to his sarcasm. "The boss wanted to make sure you pussies didn't try to sneak away before he got to speak to you."
Tommy snorted derisively. "Yeah, the escort wasn't needed. I was planning to come to come here anyway." When the bigger of the two escourts reached out to grab his shoulder, Kimberly grabbed his wrist growling softly. "Try and touch my mate and I will end you."
The guys laughed at her and then looked at Tommy. "What kind of wuss lets his wife defend him?"
"A husband that is secure enough in his own masculinity to bow to the warrior that is his wife. She didn't get her prowess from Jazzercising. Now open that door and let us in, we have business to handle."
When they walked in, there was another altercation in progress. A well toned fighter stood in his street clothes in front of Liam who crossed his arms in an attempt to look even more intimidating. Despite all the years that had passed since that night they fought, he still sported a military buzz cut and his eyes were even colder. He had just an inch or two on Tommy and he was absolutely ripped. Back in the day he could have passed off as a total hottie, but he had a cruel look in his eyes that even the most calculating bitches didn't dare mix it up with him.
Tommy's eyes wandered to the young man. The young man reminded Tommy of Jason but without the worry lines that came with leadership. He couldn't have been more than 18 years old but he stood tall and tense as Liam talked down to him.
Tommy snorted softly, seeing through the act. When it really came to a fight, the bully always wimped out.
Next his eyes wandered to the smaller girl next to the fighter. She had some meat on her, but she was not fat. Having been a trainer for all these years, he could tell that she had spent a lot of time in the gym.
"You're going back on your word?" The student asked incredulously. "Penelope has dropped 30 pounds and logged over fifty hours in the gym. Those were the terms you agreed to for letting her join the team."
"I told you already." Liam said. "No pussies on my team. It doesn't matter that this cow dropped a few pounds. She's not worthy of wearing this Dojo's symbols and that's it. Take your bitch and leave before I prove why I'm the teacher and you're the student."
"I'm your best fighter, if you won't accept this woman, then I'm out; good luck finding another black belt in time for the next tournament."
"If you leave this studio, never come back. I own all the dojo's in this city, you'll never train in Portland again."
"If you're asking me to choose between you and my girl, you're overestimating your own importance. I'm gone, asshole."
"Wise choice." Tommy said as he walked in. "There's no honor fighting for this idiot. You could do so much better."
Ah, you finally made it." Liam said. "I wasn't sure if my boys would be able to track you down."
"There was really no need." Tommy replied. "Did you think you could threaten my students and get away with it?"
Liam snorted derisively and looked derisively at Kimberly. "What are you thinking bringing your whore into my studio? If you wanna talk business, then she can wait outside."
Tommy chuckled wryly. "After all this time you're still intimated by women. It that why you won't alow female fighters in your studio.
"Women have no place on the mat, except for on their backs."
Tommy was on a roll. He laughed out loud and gave Liam a derisive look. "Oh im sorry, if that micro dick of yours is still a problem, there's probably an herbal remedy that could help."
Kim snorted from her place next to her husband and Liam attempted to smack her down. Tommy grabbed his wrist.
"I came here to talk business with you. Try and touch my mate again and I'll give you the beat down you so richly deserve, and I'll do it with all your students watching."
At that, the same boys who had gone after Katsume tried to come to his teachers aid.
"If I were you, I'd keep my distance. I didn't come looking for trouble. Hell, I didn't even know he'd become a teacher. I haven't seen him since the last time I beat his ass back in the 90's.
Tommy looked down at Liam and let go of his wrist and stepped away from him. "I came here to answer the challenge. The only difference from that last time, is that you didn't get the chance to send your goon squad after me."
Kim saw the movement a little too late, Liam lunged with his wicked looking knife and sank the tip of it into Tommy's side. With lightening moves, the crane came out and grabbed Liam's wrist. Instantly, Kim's visage changed and her anger made everyone take a step back.
Pink light flared out from her everywhere as she forced him to his knees. "You dare attack my mate with a knife! The only real pussy here is you!"
The students were freaking out. "She's a demon!" One gasped as the others stared.
Kimberly looked at him with glowing pink eyes.
"You're damn right I am!" The pink death warrior replied before she looked down at Liam. "We came here in peace and you stabbed my mate! I was willing to let my mate take the lead, but now I'm in charge!"
When Liam tried to lunge for her again, she grabbed his wrist and lifted him up in front of her with a strength that was unworldly. Behind her, Tommy stood with a proud look on his face; his eyes were glowing green with the same intensity as his wife's.
"If you have the balls to challenge us, it will be done in next years tournament. You try and come after us again, I'll do more than make you shit your pants. I will unleash the true extent of my powers and you may not survive it!"
When Liam nodded, Kimberly dropped him, and he quickly scooted back away from her.
"Get out of my dojo, you inhuman bitch!"
Kimberly laughed evilly and it made Tommy groan in appreciation.
"Gladly, but before I do, I want to ask your students a question." Looking up at the stunned teenagers watching her. "Do any of you really want to be taught by this really shitty teacher? If the answer is no, then I suggest that you search out teachers who actually know how to fight with honor."
Tommy kissed her temple and then looked at the disgraced teacher. "I'll see you at the tournament in one year. If you come near my students or my dojo before then, you will wake up in the ICU sucking formula through a straw."
Without waiting for a response. Tommy took his wife's hand and they walked back out through the doors completely unworried about a retaliation.
Eric and Wes followed them out and the moment they were clear of the students, Tommy gritted his teeth, finally letting himself feel the wound.
"What is it with stabbing people?" Kimberly asked incredulously. "First Rook and now you!"
Tommy had stripped off his tshirt and sat in the passenger seat as Eric retrieved the trauma kit and started tending to the wound.
"Honestly, I'd prefer stab wounds to buckshot…or lasers." Tommy said grunting in pain as Wes applied an alcohol swab.
"Excuse us." Said a timid sounding voice. Kimberly turned around to see the young couple from before.
Willing away the last of the Warrior's presence, Kimberly smiled at them. "Hey guys, what's up?"
"I know this is a bad time, but we heard you owned a dojo."
Kimberly nodded and then turned back to her husband and kissed his lips. Stepping away from her husband, she faced the young couple.
"Yes, we do…back in Angel Grove California. Are you guys students here?"
"I was the top fighter here, up until a few minutes ago." He replied. "I'm Jordan and this is my girlfriend, Penelope. She really wants to be an MMA fighter and I was helping her to get into shape so she could start training. That idiot in there said she had to get down to 150 before he'd take her on. She worked really hard to get down to meet his requirements, but now he's reneged on the agreement."
Kimberly nodded. "I'm not surprised; that guy is a major jerk. You can't trust anything he says."
Pausing to take a good look at Penelope, she added, "I can definitely see that you've been working hard to get in shape. Have you had any lessons in Martial arts?"
"Just what I can get from the YMCA. My parents didn't leave me a lot of money in their will before they died in the car accident. I could only afford the basic membership. Jordan's been teaching me what he could, but he wants me to have formal training. Can you help me? I'd do anything to get real training and make it to the octagon."
Kimberly nodded noncommittally and then looked at Tommy who was just getting a bandage applied to his torso. When she looked back, she asked. Are you guys willing to relocate to California? We have plenty of teachers that can train you if you're really willing to make a commitment to the training."
"We live in a converted RV and I don't have any real ties except to Jordan. It's just the two of us! Please train me. I'm willing to do anything you ask…within reason."
I've trained under Master Liam for a few years now and I've never known him to make empty threats. By the end of the week, I'll be black listed from every private gym and studio in Oregon. If i want to continue training, we'll have to pack up and move out of state anyway."
Kim looked back as Tommy carefully stood up; he leaned heavily on her. "Our calendar is booked until November first. Tie up your loose ends and then make your way to Angel Grove. We'll happily continue your training." Kimberly pulled out Tommy's wallet and took out their business cards and handed it to the now grinning couple.
"Getting in peak conditioning will take a lot of sacrifice and work, but I can see that you have what it takes. Call the number on this card after Halloween and we'll get started on your training."
"Thank you so much!" Penelope said with a big grin. Tommy stood up carefully and stood up to his full height in front of Jordan. "Your willingness to walk away from your home dojo in support of your girlfriend tells me that you're a very honorable man. It's something that's a rarity in this day and age. The White Dragon dojo has room for you too and I know more than a few of my fellow teachers that would be happy to continue your training."
Jordan's eyes were full of emotion, but he kept them in check. "Thank you sir, I can't wait to continue training. We'll get to Angel Grove and I can find a job, somewhere."
Tommy nodded at him. "Once upon a time, I lived with my beautiful fiancé out of a refurbished RV. I've been where you are. Settle your affairs here and then make your way to California. I'll see if I can help you find a job when you get settled in."
"Thank you sir," Jordan said as he bowed in respect. "I never thought things could go this well."
"If there's one thing that life has taught me, it's that when you're at your lowest point, there's nowhere to go but up."
A couple hours later
The Oliver's Hotel Room
Tommy watched Kimberly close the door to their bathroom with a smile. After they'd finished at the dojo, they'd come back here so that Andros could give him a more in depth exam away from Civilian eyes. The stab wound had been minor, thanks to Kimberly's quick reflexes and it hadn't taken more than a few minutes for Andros to make him whole again.
The entire time Tommy had felt Kim's eyes on him and he was horny as hell. Though Andros noticed the looks being exchanged, he only gave them both knowing looks as he quickly but thoroughly healed the injury.
The moment Tommy and Kim were alone, they shed every item of clothing and Kimberly led him to their bed. Tommy was a warrior with very few weaknesses. One of those, was power…especially when his sexy wife was exuding
it so effortlessly.
When she pushed him onto the bed, he surrendered to her. "Do you still bow to my prowess?"
"Shamelessly. Please, my exotic warrior, do whatever you want to me."
Within minutes, he was writhing in pleasure and clenching the bed sheets and let his wife do anything she pleased. It didn't matter how long they'd been lovers, he was still helplessly intoxicated by her.
Now more than an hour later, he sat in his track pants and tank top and booted up his computer. He'd texted Trent and told him to expect a skype call.
5 minutes before, he'd received a text back that Trent was back in his room and was available to talk.
When he logged onto Skype, and saw Trent on the screen and could tell immediately form his unkempt hair that he'd seen some kind of action recently. From the hotel towel around his neck, he'd either just gotten out of the shower or he'd been swimming.
"Dr. O, how's it going?"
"We've hit a few snags, but we're working through it. We're boarding the train tomorrow, so I thought I'd check in and see what you've come up with as far as reservations and party plans go."
Trent nodded. "As far as hotel reservations go, I found the perfect place for some rest and relaxation. I've been staying at it for a couple days now and this place is perfect."
Dr. O nodded. "Tell me more."
"This place, Serenity Cove, is off the beaten path and geared towards those travelers with special needs. The man who owns and runs this place is a single father with twin sons on the spectrum. They also have sensory issues and he was hard pressed to find a place to live that didn't complain about the kids when they need to decompress and stem.
So, he bought this place that was at the time a defunct hotel and refurbished it. You walk into the lobby and it's immediately quiet with only the barest sounds of an office. The biggest feature of this place is the water area which is a huge pool with 5 different waterfalls and operating in it.
Half of the rooms here are equipped with handicap features and that includes the pool area so Elisa will have the same access as everyone else. The head chef has at least 10 years of experience catering to special diets and handling issues with food allergies."
"The best part of all of this is that the owner was willing to give me a deal since this is a slow season for him. I've rented a whole floor and ordered a feast for the wedding reception. The food here is amazing and I think this place is perfect for what we need. There is also a handicap shuttle that will take us directly to SeaWorld. "
Tommy nodded. "I can't wait to see it. Now, what about the reception."
Trent took a drink of his ice-cold bottle of water. "I've reserved a modest banquet hall for a few miles away from here, I hired a professional decorator to give the place a spooky yet romantic vibe for the happy couple and the cake is three teared chocolate marble. There will be a chocolate fountain and nonalcoholic drinks for the teenagers. I only had a week, but I think Leif and Sapphire will like what I came up with.
That sounds perfect. I don't know if anyone told you, but we're going to be joined by a the Skullovitch family. I know this is last minute and I can help cover any extra fees for renting more rooms."
Trent shook his head. "Nah, Connor called me this morning and gave me the information. It's already worked out."
Tommy nodded again and then frowned when a look of concern passed over the younger man's face. "How's Katsume doing now that his tormentor is gone?"
"That's something else to discuss. We cut the head off the hydra, but now another two more have grown out."
Trent blew out a breath. "Then we'll stop cutting off heads and go for the heart. Tell me what's going on with my son!"
So, how did you enjoy this chapter? Let me know your thoughts!
