Hey guys? How is everyone doing with this current madness?

I know it's been a while since I last updated and honestly I'm not sure if this chapter is as good as I wanted it to be. Sometimes, all I can do is type and hope for the best.

This chapter comes with a profanity warning.

This chapter happens within the same day that the last two chapters of Miscreants happens. Also, this chapter comes with a profanity warning.

I think that about does it... I hope everyone enjoys this chapter and will leave me some feedback!

Early Morning

The Hotel

Kimberly wrapped her bathrobe around her body and walked out of the bathroom. In her head, she was silently making a list of what needed to be done in the next hour so that they'd be at the train station on time.

As it turned out, she didn't need a list. When she opened the door, everything had already been done and her sexy, thoughtful husband had already taken care of most of it. She couldn't stop the smile on her face at sight when greeted her.

Tommy sat cross legged on their bed with Maverick sitting comfortably in his lap. As he tapped the keys on his lap top, he'd stop every few seconds to make sure his son was OK with his bottle before glancing back up at the screen.

"Hey Handsome, what's got your attention?"

Tommy looked up at her and smiled. "Currently, you, my beautiful wife. But also I'm looking for a good place near San Diego to take Kayla for our date. There's just not many things near by other than Sea World. When you walked in, I was looking at the website for a little town that's off the beaten path.

Kimberly adjusted her robe as she sat next to her husband. "Yeah? What did you find?"

"It's a place called Whimsy Falls. The website says it's a wholesome place that's fit for families to get away from busy cities, and the pictures are beautiful…but I'm sensing there's something hidden about it. I'd love to take Kayla there, but I'm trying to find out more about it."

Kimberly nodded. "Probably a good idea. We don't need anymore Halloween Hi-jinx to add to the drama we've already dealt with. Maybe you could ask Andros to scope it out. if it's anything strange, he could probably tell you."

Tommy nodded and startled slightly when the icon for Skype blinked at him. He clicked on the link and saw that it was Connor's handle. He typed 'stand by' in the chat box and looked at Kimberly whom had stepped away to get dressed.

A moment passed before he let the call go through. In seconds the call connected and Connor's face was on the screen.

"Morning, Dr. O."

"Good morning, how did the festival go last night?"

"It went pretty good for the most part, and fun was had by all before things went a little spookier than we expected. We ended up in a full blown confrontation with a coven of witches; they were spewing enough evil to make Kayla's dragon manifest again. I'm talking green eyes and full dragon manifestation."

Tommy nodded at the screen with concern. "Is my daughter okay?"

"Yeah, she's fine. We went through the full protocol we discussed. As soon as the incident was over, we checked both kids over and got some food and juice into their stomachs. Other than being a little sleepy, they didn't show any real signs of fatigue.

"Wait, you said both Kids. Was Jude involved in the showdown?"

Connor nodded. "Yeah, we all were. The orchard as it turns out is also a small animal rescue operation. Those witches that showed up were trying to force the caretaker into surrendering one of their animals and to them. They were threatening her and her little boy. There was such malice in their voices that everyone one of us manifested our spirit animals."

"Both kids were behind us and I didn't see it, but I'd be willing to bet my mustang that Jude also manifested whatever spirit he has too. Long story short, we made the witches leave without getting the animals, and it wasn't much of a fight compared to our old side jobs.

She did the right thing this time by telling me first, and she didn't engage in the fight other than her dragon manifesting; I guess that after what happened at the festival, she's nervous to tell you guys that she's rescued another needy animal."

Tommy raised an eyebrow. "I see." He paused a second and glanced at Kimberly who was raised an eyebrow at her husband's subtle change in demeanor. When he gently lifted their son in his arms, she nodded and took the baby from her mate and settled him into the portable crib they had yet to pack up. When she turned back to her husband, he was sitting up straighter and through their bond, she sensed a mixture of playfulness and concern.

"Well then, I'd like to speak to my little ninja. I know she's there."

Connor chuckled nervously having not heard that tone since they were rangers.

"Hey, go easy on her, Dr. O. She did everything the right way this time."

Tommy glanced sideways at his mate who was giving him an amused look. When he looked back at Connor he nodded. "I'm aware of that, but my daughter is seven years old. If she's going to become a full-time hero, then The Little Ninja better get used to giving her CO a full incident report."

Connor gave him a long look. "Understood, Dr. O." Then he got up and walked out of the screen and a nervous Kayla sat on the couch. "Dr. O?"

"It's Lord Falcon, Little Ninja."

Kayla nodded. "Lord Falcon."

"I heard you had a busy night at the orchard. Want to tell me what happened?"

Kayla nodded. "Yes sir." She took a deep breath and answered him calmly. "Lord Falcon, we were carving pumpkins when I saw a sad little boy sitting by the barn. His name was Sawyer and he was the one taking care of Twilight the little black kitten. He was worried that the witches would take him away and hurt him."

"What happened next?"

"I felt the darkness…it was like the nightmare I had. I followed Connor and we saw the witches. They were scaring Sawyer's mom and threatening to kill her. I got mad and that's when my dragon came out. I didn't want Sawyer to lose his mom!"

Tommy nodded. "Go on."

"Eric made a big wind surround the witches and he messed up their hair. They got really scared and angry, but then the ghost of the mama horse showed up, they got scared and got back in their doosh mobile and left the orchard."

Tommy was fighting his smile. "You mean their douche-mobile?" When Kayla nodded, he asked. "Where did you hear that word?"

Connor said it when they were leaving, but I think that was tough guy talk…is it a bad word?"

Tommy shook his head. "It's border line, but I don't want you to repeat it until you're older. Got me?"

"Yes, Lord Falcon."

"Good. Now continue with your report."

"After they left, the ghost of the mama horse went up to Connor and I don't know what happened then, but now Connor is the baby horse's daddy. And then I adopted the kitten because Sawyer said he wasn't safe at the orchard anymore. I signed the doption papers, but now I'm worried that I'll hurt Bella's feelings by bringing home another pet."

Tommy nodded, sensing that his daughter was losing focus. "We'll talk about that in a moment, but I need you to focus until the report is finished. Tell me about the kitten you adopted."

Kayla took a deep breath and continued. Twilight is a black kitten and has special needs. He's tiny and has black fur, a stubby tail and four ears. I thought he was a fairy kitten, but Connor said he's special needs like Tris and will need to see a vet. That's why Uncle Rocky took the kitten back to the manor."

Tommy was at a loss for words and he looked to Kimberly who was chewing on her lip, looking deep in thought. When he looked back at Kayla she was doing the same thing.

"Little Ninja."

When Kayla looked back at him, she stopped biting her lip and looked up at him. "Yes sir?"

"What are your plans for the kitten?"

"I don't know sir. I thought maybe The Miscreants could help him; they helped the other kittens. I'm scared that the witches might come after him again if they put him up for adoption on their Myspace page."

Tommy nodded and then relaxed. "At ease, Little Ninja. I will talk to the Miscreants and see what they come up with."

"Thanks Daddy. I love you."

"I love you too, Kayla. Never be afraid to tell me things that happened. Now, how did the play date with Jude go?"

"We had fun, Dad! Jude won the biggest Halloween bear ever and he gave it to me!"

Kimberly covered her mouth to smother the laugh. Kira had sent her the pic the day before and she knew that as much as she wanted to complain about her plushie rule being broken, she couldn't be mad about a gift from a cute boy winning her little girl's heart.

Even if the bear was almost as big as her daughter.

It would never fit in the net she had bought for the other plushies…

Maybe it was time to build onto the manor…

"Beautiful?" Tommy asked breaking into her thoughts.

She looked at him apologetically. "Sorry Handsome. Is it my turn to talk to Kayla?"

Tommy gave her a long look and then nodded. "Yeah, I'll finish packing things up and then we need to head to the lobby."

On hoard the Train

"Well, that was a shorter meeting than I expected." Kim said as the kids filed out.

"Well, they had an early wake up call." Tommy said with a shrug. Most teenagers on a trip get to sleep in; now that they've been fed, they should be a little more alert. It's why I waited to really get into the more involved topics on the agenda.

"You really have things figured out, don't you?" Gabriella asked from her spot at the table.

Tommy snorted. "After all these years being a full time teacher, I learned to read their body language." He paused and shook his head. "Not to mention that I used to babysit Kyle and Autumn; neither one of them are early birds."

"Those have to be the most well-disciplined teenagers I've ever served." Daniella commented.

Tommy grinned at her. "Well, these teens are not your average teenagers. It's amazing how teens will step up to the plate when you offer them the chance to do something important with their lives."

Kimberly snorted softly when her husband said that. "Not to mention having phenomenal support to back them up."

Tommy gave his wife adoring eyes and then looked at the communications device as the AI made her presence known.

"Dr. Oliver, there is a communications alert from The Manor."

"Patch it through."

The machine trilled and then then the holographic form of Billy stood before him. "Tommy, come in."

"I'm here Billy, how's things from you end?" The hologram was beautifully clear and could put Star Wars technology to shame.

"Working beautifully, how am I coming through?"

"Perfectly. It's good to hear from you."

Billy grinned at him. "So, when we walked in this morning, we were treated to an interesting sight."

"If you're referring to the little mutated kitten, than we're just as surprised this morning when we found out about it."

Kayla is definitely your daughter." Billy said with a smirk. "Strange things always seem to happen to you Olivers."

Tommy shrugged. "Well, it's a gift. I've just learned to roll with it."

Billy nodded and then continued. "So, what's the plan with the newbie?"

"Well, I haven't told Kayla yet, but Twilight is going to be the newest Miscreant; by unanimous vote, he's going to be their new mascot."

Billy smirked. "Yeah, that sounds about right, once the vet gives him a clean bill of health, he's going to get the full treatment; Kat visited that jewelry store the teens got their tags from; it's only fitting that we get Twilight's tag there too."

Tommy grinned at that. "I bet Kat's already got plans for spoiling that kitten. Before this is done, he'll have his own domain at the new digs."

"Yeah, and not just for Twilight. Kat is already taken care of things in the kitten department. Andros and his team are outfitting HQ with some upgrades to help care for the rescues. I've also been made aware of the newest little Miscreant joining the team; these new developments are as much to protect the precious cargo as they are the mother.

Tommy gave him a questioning look. "How did you know about that?"

Billy looked like he wanted to roll his eyes but instead he replied. "The parents are very much involved; it was one thing that she stressed when we started working on the house and bringing them up to speed. You can thank Aisha and Tanya for bridging the gap and all that with the newborns in tow. I've never been so impressed at their ingenuity."

"I kind of wish that I was there to help them out." Kimberly commented.

Billy shook his head at her. "They've been doing just fine on their own. And from what I've heard you've been hard at work yourself. Being a chaperone is just as important as setting up house for a bunch of teenagers."

"That's a hell of a Segway." Adam commented as he showed up in the holographic display. "How're the teens?"

Finally getting a chance to unwind. We ran into some trouble with some local teens in Portland."

Do tell…" Adam said with an arched eyebrow.

"You remember Liam, right?"

Rocky frowned as he stood next to Adam. "Yeah, I remember that guy. What's that Dickhead doing in Portland?"

"Operating a string of karate studios, apparently. His students started trouble with ours, specifically, hitting on Autumn and insulting Elisa because she's handicapped. That's when Kyle stepped in and handled things like a boss; he defended honor and made his ancestors proud."

Rocky smirked and nodded. "That's my son."

"Anyway, long story short, the students from Final Strike Dojo tried to come at them a few more times before I realized that they knew exactly what hotel we were staying at. Yesterday, they made one final attempt at assaulting Rook and Katsume. We ran the hoods off, but when we sat down to breakfast, Liam sent a note challenging me.

Loser still doesn't have the balls to challenge you himself." Adam summed up.

I'd have been shocked if he's shown up in person. Anyway, Kim and I went down to the studio afterwards and had a talk with him…where he stabbed me." When Adam narrowed his eyes, Tommy waived it off. "It was a shallow wound and Andros was able to fix me up no problem. He offered to make the scar go away, but I decided to keep it."

"Tommy you're easily the toughest fighter in the dojo; since when did you need intimidation tactics?" Adam asked in confusion.

"Because I am expecting him to openly challenge me again. He's got an ego the size of Alaska and we just embarrassed him in front of his students. His pride would demand a showdown. When I face him in the ring, I want him to see proof that no matter how many times he tries to take me down, he's never going to win."

Adam snorted and shook his head. "Okay, whatever helps you in the ring." When he looked back up at his friend he asked. "So, my daughter is really ok?"

"Yep and off doing things I don't want to know about. In a couple hours they'll be back in this conference room for lunch and for the second half of the meeting."

"Speaking of that, I'm curious as how the Miscreant's set up is going. Did you finish with the chair?"

Billy nodded taking up the spotlight again. I'll have to thank the kids for giving me an excuse to mess around with the electronics and Halloween toys at the home depot. Fabian and I made trip over to there to pick up a few things and we got to play with the cool blow up props they had. It was fun to see him enjoy such things since he's not old enough to go with me to the Spirit Halloween store. By the time the Miscreants get back home, they'll be ready to get down to business and start making content."

Kimberly nodded and then asked. "While we're at the Howl-O-Scream, did you want anything picked up for Fabian? The other parents have sent me a list, is there anything you want added to that?"

That's more of a question for Kat, but I know that my he's become fascinated with sharks and we watched Shark Week together a few weeks ago, so maybe something to do with sharks will be a good gift for him. When Kat is done setting up that kitten room for the Miscreants, I'll have her send you an email."

Once the call was done, they left the room so the cleaning crew could do their jobs. After securing Maverick in the sling, they went looking for their charges. When they walked into the dining cart, where they figured they'd find the group, they saw Rook and he looked very unhappy.

"Rook, are you okay?" Kimberly asked as she sat down across from him.

The young man shook his head. "Trouble at home…it's not good."

Kimberly nodded. "Well, Im sure no matter what it is, we can fix things."

Rook gave her a stormy look. "Joy's been hazed. Jezebel and her group followed Joy in to the girls locker room and caught her naked. They've also called me out too."

Rook pulled out his phone and pulled up the video. He handed it to Kimberly who watched it while Tommy turned away to focus on his son. He didn't want to watch the young teenager being exposed

When the video was done, Kim was quiet. Through the bond, Tommy felt her anger, it matched his own. As if he could feel it, Maverick wined softly.

Kimberly took a deep breath and looked up at Rook. "Have you already responded to this?

Yeah, on our Myspace page, I told everyone to back off and that if anything happens between Joy and I, that it would stay between us."

Kimberly nodded in approval. "Good. Now, have you been able to talk to her or her friends? Do you have any idea about how she's handling things?"

"I've already talked to her friend Phoebe. She managed to get Joy out of the school quickly, but Joy's not much more than sleeping a lot and going to the bathroom." Rook paused and raked a hand through his hair. "It's bad, Miss Kim; I don't think there's much we can do from the train."

"This is a nightmare for her; having her privacy invaded for all the world to see. If you want to help her, than be there for her and support her."

Kimberly paused and then pulled out her phone. "As for me, I've got a call to make."

"You've got to be fucking kidding me." Tanya cursed.

"I wish I was, Tanya. It was too much to hope that the hazing would end now that there's a whole new school system. The most we can do now is try and reach out to the parents and see if we can be a support for them.

"We're on our way. Let me go grab 'Ish."

"Thanks Tanya. Keep me in the loop."

"You got it. We'll call you back when we know more about this."

"May the power protect you."
