Pearl: "It's ya' girls Pearl and Marina with the News!" Marina: "We have some News from the Squid Sisters who have just returned!"

Callie: "Hey y'all, have we got some news for you! The Great Zapfish and her babies have returned! They make the Inkopolis Tower look like a Christmas Tree, so festive."
Marie: "Not only that, but the citizens who went missing have been found! Also, DJ Octavio, the villain who tried to take over Inkopolis, is now behind bars at the Shell and Slam Prison. Hopefully, he will either be rehabilitated, or the guards will find him a job soon."
Callie: "Make sure to thank the agents for saving Inkopolis. Wait, there is a new Splatfest coming from the Copier in the Sky! Let's see what it is!" The Copier then prints out the details. Callie: "The theme today is Chicken vs. Egg. Which came first? In my book, I think it is the Chicken that went first."
Marie: "But Callie. Didn't the Chicken come from the Egg? Doesn't that mean the Egg came first?"
Callie: "But who laid the Egg? Obviously, it must be the Chicken. Of course, we can't decide, so you, the Inklings and Octolings watching this, must decide for us!"
Callie and Marie: "Until next time... Staaaay Fresh!"
News switches back to Off the Hook
Pearl: "Wow, that is some good news. Isn't our daughter one of the Heroes that saved Inkopolis?"
Marina: "Yes she is! I am so proud of her for being a hero! 3"
Pearl: "Anyway, here is today's Turf War themes!" Marina plays Hip-Hop Music. Marina: "Today's ranked battle is Clam Blitz, and the League Battle is Rainmaker!"
Pearl: "That's all the time we have! Until next time..." Pearl and Marina: "Don't get Cooked... Stay Off the Hook!"
Inkopolis, Shell and Slam Prison
DJ Octavio is in his Snow Globe moping. Then, a Prison guard opens the globe, and puts tentacle cuffs on Octavio.
The Prison Guard: "Okay, giant Octopus! I just got word from the Squid Sisters that you will get a job as a DJ for the Splatfests! Also, you will be assigned to a cell with a bunkmate!"
Octavio: "Better than spending the rest of my life in that cramped Snow Globe."
The guards then stick Octavio into a prison cell with a DJ Booth and a bunk bed. In that cell is the Sanitized Octoling DJ, Dedf1sh. Octavio: "Hey, aren't you that Octoling girl that disappeared from Octo Valley?!" Dedf1sh: "Yep. Long time no see, General."
Octavio gets on the bottom bunk because Dedf1sh is on the top bunk. Octavio: "So, what are you in for?"
Dedf1sh: "I was forced to work for Commander Tartar. After his death, I left the Deepsea Metro to seek rehabilitation and live a new life. So, I turned myself in here. I am now the DJ for splatfests. You?"
Octavio: "I was arrested by the Squidbeak Splatoon for trying to take over Inkopolis, controlling the citizens of Inkopolis, and nabbing the Great Zapfish. But now that I am assigned DJ for splatfests as well, I think I will live humbly. By the way, which do you think came first? The Chicken or the Egg? In my book, I think it's the Chicken because they lay the Egg." Dedf1sh: "Nah man, it's obviously the Egg. Where else did the Chicken come from? Obviously, it has to be from the Egg." Octavio: "You want to have a DJ battle to decide which one came first?" Dedf1sh: "You're on!"
A prison guard goes up to their cell with fried salmon eggs and sea bacon along with Spykebucks coffee. He opens the door and give the DJ's their breakfasts. Guard: "Alright, here is your breakfast. Eat up. You have a big day ahead of you two." The guard then closes the door. Both DJ's eat their breakfast, then take turns on their DJ studio for a DJ battle. The On Air sign above the door turns on, and the Prison records their music for the Splatfest. If you chose Chicken, then Octavio's song is Inkopolis Memorial Mixtape ( watch?v=0w1yv_rSSDg). If you chose Egg, Dedf1sh's song is #16 salty ( watch?v=RvZXO3bjz40).
Park n' Splat, Kankers' Trailer
The Kankers finish up their salmon eggs and sea bacon. They then decide to meet in the living room.
Lee Kanker: "So, Mom says that we should own our own Company so that way we can live comfortably, especially if we want to marry the Eds, hubba hubba! What skills do we have?!"
May Kanker: "I'm good with lifting heavy objects!"
Marie Kanker: "I usually end up repairing and cleaning the trailer, and I love using the tools to fix it, especially the axel!"
Lee Kanker: "And I am the one who paints the trailer. Then it is settled. We will become vehicle mechanics."
May Kanker: "Where are we going to have our company?!"
Lee Kanker: "I'm glad you asked that. There are shops that are permanently closed in Inkopolis Plaza that we can build our business."
The Kankers then travel from the trailer park to Inkopolis Square, and then to Inkopolis Plaza.

They read a sign about buying the space that has permanently closed shops. May then notices a sign in front of the tower that says join a team, Chicken or Egg. May Kanker: "Hey Lee, should I join team Chicken or Egg?"
The Kankers then notice the sign, and all three of them decide team Egg, because it reminds them of breakfast coming first. They then continue reading.
Marie Kanker: "If you want to buy this space, call the Squid Sisters. I can do that; I have their number." Marie Kanker then calls Squid Sister Marie on the phone.
Inkopolis Plaza, Squid Sisters News Studio
Callie and Marie finish up discussing with the Shell and Slam Guard. Marie: "So, the two DJ's made some music for the Splatfest." The Prison Guard: "Yep, and Octavio chose chicken, while Dedf1sh chose egg." Callie: "Great! Now Octavio's on my team! Great!" Marie: "Serves you right, you once teamed up with him when you wore the hypnoshades." Callie: "Don't remind me."
Suddenly, Marie's phone rings. Marie: "Thank you for giving us the latest music for the Splatfest. I'll talk about it later." The Guard then leaves the Studio. Marie recognizes the number as Marie Kanker's and answers it. Squid Sister Marie: "Hi girlfriend!" Marie Kanker: "Hi girlfriend! My sisters and I are planning on buying the shops and turning them into a bus and truck stop where we fix and repaint them. Also, my sisters and I chose team Egg."
Squid Sister Marie: "That sounds like an awesome idea, and I am glad you picked team Egg. More members on my team than my sister's." Callie: "Yeah, well you're the one to talk! I just got three more members. HAH!" Marie: "Right, anyway, you and your sisters can come into the studio to discuss." Marie then hangs up. The Kanker Sisters then walk into the Squid Sisters' studio. The Kankers then talk to the Squids about building a truck and bus repair and repaint called Kanker Kissed Trucks and Busses. Marie: "That is an awesome idea. Tell you what, we can hang out with you girls for a while, and when the construction is done, you can get to work. And I hope the boys you like recognize you for the money you make. So, where do you girls want to go to first?"
Marie Kanker: "I would like to go shopping at the Booyah Base. I want my cutie pie to fall in love with me." Lee Kanker: "Well, that is for you. May and I want to go to the Amusement Park, because May keeps begging me FOR A ZAPFISH DOLL!" May Kanker: "It just looks so cute and cuddly!" Squid Marie: "Callie can go with you. After all, she wants to win some new shades there." Callie: "Hey, I just want to look swag." Squid Marie: "And Marie and I will go shopping at the Booyah Base for a new dress." The Squid Sisters and the Kanker Sisters then shake hands. Callie goes to the amusement park with May and Lee, while Marie and Marie go shopping at the Booyah Base.
Sea Peach, Cul Du Sac, Edd's house
Edd finishes his explanation on evolution by an extinct human named Darwin.
Edd: "And on that note, animals replicated and mutated to where we are today. Thus, the Chicken came first, and that is why we should join team Chicken. Any questions."
Eddy: "Yeah, does team Chicken offer fried chicken wings? Because Ed won't shut up about getting some."
Ed: "Fried chicken, yum!"
Edd: "I'm sure they have fried chicken, Ed."
Ed: "YUM, DOUBLE D! TEAM CHICKEN FOR ED!"
Eddy: "Alright, guess I'll join as well."
The Eds then sign up for team Chicken online.

Pearl and Marina are getting ready. Pearl is dying her hair white for team chicken, while Marina is painting her fingernails and toenails yellow for team egg. Pearl: "Ah, finished my white tips. You ready yet hun?!" Marina: "Just got my final coating on. Well Pearl, what do you think?" Pearl looks at Marina's polished nails. Pearl: "OMG, they look so adorable!"
Then suddenly, Molly passes by her mothers. Molly: "Hi Moms, just going shopping for fireworks." Marina: "Okay be safe with those..." Pearl and Marina, in shock and horror, yell "FIREWORKS?!"
Pearl then rushes to the door, and blocks Molly from leaving. Molly: "Come on Pearl, they're just fireworks. Besides, it is a splatfest holiday, and fireworks are very festive." Pearl: "I DON'T CARE HOW FESTIVE THEY ARE! YOU ARE NOT GETTING THEM! YOU WENT WITH THE SQUIDBEAK SPLATOON TO STOP THE OCTARIANS! YOU GAVE ME AND MARINA A SCARE, AND WE PRAYED THAT YOU WOULD RETURN HOME SAFE, AND NOW YOU WANT FIREWORKS?! THOSE THINGS WILL EITHER BURN YOU OR DESTROY YOUR FINGERS! I'M NOT READY TO LOSE YOU AGAIN!" Marina: "Young lady, sit down! I want to have a lecture with you about how dangerous fireworks can be!" Molly: "But Moooom!" Marina: "NOW!" Molly sits on the couch next to Marina and gets an earful from her.
Pearl then opens the door to the news studio to check on the stage being built on Deca Tower for the Splatfest. Pearl: "Hey, you guys finished with the stage yet?!" An Octoling constructor: "All finished! Your stage is in tip top shape!" Pearl: "Awesome! Hey, can you make sure my daughter does not leave the house?! She wants to buy fireworks for the splatfest!" Octoling constructor: "Sure! I understand! I have a kid at home who wants to play with fireworks, but my wife is giving him an earful! There is a new Truck and Bus repair shop being built in Inkopolis Plaza, I think I'll send my men down!"
The Octoling constructor tells his Inkling and Octoling coworkers to go help at Inkopolis with the new truck and bus repair shop, and that Off the Hook needs someone to look out for their daughter. The constructors then leave. Inkling constructor: "See ya' Ralph! Yeah, I wouldn't want my kid playing with fireworks! That would break any parent's heart to lose their child to fireworks!" The Octoling then hangs out by the studio to make sure that Molly doesn't leave the house.
Pearl then sits on the couch with Marina and Molly to lecture Molly about the dangers of fireworks. After a 3-hour lecture with Molly, she then understands. Molly: "You're right Mom, I should be more careful this splatfest. Sorry I scared you guys." Pearl: "It's okay dear, what matters most is your safe and with us." Molly then smiles. Marina: "And on that note, you will spend the entire splatfest at home doing the chores!" Molly: "But Moooom!" Pearl: "No buts! We are doing this because we love you and want you to be safe." Marina: "OMG, it's time for our concert! I want you, Molly, to stay out of trouble while Pearl and I are doing the concert for this splatfest." Pearl and Marina exit out the door. Molly: "Break a leg you two!"
Inkopolis Square, Crusty Sean's
Kevin, Rolf and Nazz are hanging out at Inkopolis Square, with Off the Hook playing Color Pulse ( watch?v=j6kcHXlEYZM), eating Seanwiches. Rolf: "The son of a shepherd chooses team Egg because I grew hair collecting Salmon Eggs for Grizz!" Nazz: "I don't know about you Rolf, but I think the Chicken came first due to replication." Kevin: "Yeah man, I will have to go with Chicken because I love them deep fried, especially from Sean." Crusty Sean: "That's right man, I make them crispy and spicy! Booyah!" Rolf: "Once again, Rolf is alone in these trying times." The kids select their teams, and head back to the Cul Du Sac.
Mondo A-Swim Swim, Ferris Wheel
Jimmy and Sarah are on the Wheel, looking off into the pier. Jimmy: "This is nice, Sarah. So, which team will you pick? I am thinking Egg because I love the cute baby chicks!" Sarah: "Me too Jimmy! I think Egg would fit me as well!" Jimmy: "Alright, girlfriend! I will sign both of us up for Egg!" Jimmy pulls out his phone, and signs Sarah and himself up for Egg.
Mondo A-Swim Swim, Minigame Tents
Going from the Ferris Wheel to the Minigame tents, we see May Kanker, Lee Kanker and Callie trying to win dunk the Inkling. May misses the target. May Kanker: "Oh well, no zapfish for me." May then whimpers. Lee then pushes May aside and takes a turn. Lee Kanker: "Move over, Goldie Locks! I'm taking a turn!" Lee knocks the Inkling in the water, which has a chemical that prevents Inklings from disintegrating, and wins the zapfish doll for May. Lee Kanker: "There, happy?!" May Kanker: "Thank you so much Lee!" Callie: "Wow, you're really strong! Can you teach me sometime?" Lee Kanker: "Sure sweet and pink! I'm more than happy to help teach someone who looks up to me as a mentor!" Then suddenly, Callie gets a message that the Kankers' new business is finished. Callie: "Looks like you guys have a new building to help with trucks and busses. Let me call Marie." Lee Kanker: "Why are you calling our sister when you can call yours?" Callie: "I meant my sister!" Callie then calls Marie.

Marie Kanker and Squid Marie are busy shopping at Jelly Fresh when Squid Marie's phone rings. Squid Marie: "Hello?" Callie: "Hi Marie! The Kankers' new place of business is now done!" Marie: "Okay, we will meet in front of Inkopolis Tower, bye!" Marie hangs up. Squid Marie: "You almost done yet, Marie?" Marie Kanker: "I got it on! Coming right out!" Marie Kanker comes out with the Enchanted Robe with Octoling heels. Marie Kanker: "Well, would my cutie pie love me or what?!" Squid Marie: "OMG, that dress is totally you!" Marie Kanker then buys the dress, and they exit Booyah Base to Inkopolis Tower.
Inkopolis Tower
The Squid Sisters and the Kankers look in awe at the Kankers' new place of business. The Kankers cheer on the Squid Sisters. Later, the Kankers hear that there is a folk splatfest at Sea Peach Cul Du Sac, and they leave, waving bye to the Squid Sisters.
Sarah and Jimmy hear about the folk splatfest too and leave the amusement park.
Sea Peach, Cul Du Sac (Splatfest Festival in Sea Peach: watch?v=sVP-rgsVTII)
There are tents at the Cul Du Sac selling food. Team Chicken tents are selling fried shrimp, while Team Egg tents are selling hard boiled salmon eggs. Ed and Rolf are dancing in the center of the Cul Du Sac, as they are opposite teams. Ed: "I can dance better than you can!" Rolf then slaps Ed's hands. Rolf: "That's my turf!" Ed doesn't get it at first, but then remembers, then slaps Rolf's hands announcing, "That's my turf!" Rolf: "Yes that's my turf!" Rolf then smacks Ed in the back. Ed: "No, it's my turf!" Ed then punches Rolf in the Jaw. Rolf: "Ah ah aahhhh! That's my Turf!" Rolf then whacks Ed in the head with a barrel. Ed: "Ah aaahhhh! That's my turf." Ed slams a wheel barrel on Rolf's head.
The Eds are wearing their Team Chicken shirts, eating fried shrimp. Edd: "Wow, it looks like the Turf War dates back to when they danced and hit each other." Eddy: "Yeah, I would not last a second with lummocks and Rolf." Then the Kankers notice the Eds. The Kankers: "Hiya boooyyysss!" The Eds jump up in fright. Lee Kanker: "We just got a new Truck and Bus business in Inkopolis. HEY! WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TEAM CHICKEN OVER TEAM EGG?!" Edd: "Well, you see..." Marie Kanker: "Don't worry, we can kiss them to join Team Egg. You take the short yappy one Lee! I will take dreamboat over there! My cutie pie's gonna love the new lipstick I bought at Booyah Base!" Marie Kanker puts on her new lipstick, and Lee Kanker rips it out of her hand, and applies it to herself. Eddy: "Run away?" Eddy and Edd: "RUN AWAAAYYYY! AAAAAHHHHHHH!" Marie Kanker and Lee Kanker then give chase to Eddy and Edd.
Meanwhile, May is in love with Ed dancing. May Kanker: "Even though he's on Team Chicken, I still love him. Huuuuuhhhhh.💓" Rolf: "That's my Turf!" Rolf then slams a tree on Ed's head. Ed: "No way! It's my Turf!" Ed then whacks Rolf with a bag of potatoes in the head.
Johnny and Plank are watching the people enjoy themselves. Johnny: "We did it buddy. Because of us and the Squidbeak Splatoon, the Great Zapfish is back in Inkopolis, and everyone can enjoy their splatfest." Jonny and Plank then get some fried shrimp and hard-boiled salmon eggs. End of Chapter.
