Stamford Connecticut Police Department interrogation room Paul Levesque sits at the table in the center of the interrogation room far from the image of the hardened criminals who usually occupy the seat. Det. Olivia Alexander is across the table from him while her partner Eli Barnes stands in the corner of the interrogation room.
"Why am I here?" Paul asked
"You're here because you were charged with 12 crimes," Detective said
"I-I did not do anything. This a mistake," Paul said
"We have witnesses' statements saying otherwise. So why don't you make this easier for everyone and tell us what happened?" Detective Eli said
"Witness statements? I would not hurt anyone! You have to believe me! This is a mistake!"
Eli walks over and leans on the table. Directly in Paul's line of sight. Paul's nerves are on edge.
"Really a mistake? There is no mistake, Mr. Levesque, about the charges against you."
"Those charges are false accusations against me."
"Really"
"Yes, really. The McMahons are lying to you."
The interrogation room's door bursts open, and Leo Adams walks in Paul's attorney.
"Not another word, Paul. This conversation is over."
"Mr. Adams right on time."
"Tell me, Detective, is arresting innocent people a hobby of yours?"
"No. and Everyone is innocent until proven guilty."
"Interrogating my client without his attorney present Bush-league at best, if you ask me."
"Not bush-league councilor. We were having a friendly chat."
"Come on, Paul, time to leave."
"Not so fast. Mr. Levesque is being arraignment today," Detective said
"Detective? The last time I checked, you needed a person to commit a crime for you to hold them."
"We have witnesses' statements and evidence to hold your client."
"Nice try, Detective."
The DA, Alexandria Correa, walked into the interrogation room and said, "Your client is not leaving."
"And you are?" Leo Adams asked rudely
"I am the Distract Attorney Alexandria Correa. Your client Mr. Levesque is being arraigned this afternoon on several counts."
Detectives escort Paul out of the interrogation room and squad room.
Detectives were at Paul and Stephanie Lévesque with a search warrant. The detectives search all over the house looking for more evidence against Paul Levesque. One Detective searched his home office, and in walked another detective and helped search the office one Detective noticed a folder pulled out.
"What's this?"
"What you got?"
"Yes, a folder that says on it, McMahon."
The Detective opened the folder and saw it was his plans from 12 years ago. "We got him."
Paul Levesque, with his attorney Leo Adams standing at the defendant's table with the DA standing behind the Prosecution podium. Linda and Vince were sitting behind the Prosecution and Vincent Kathleen, Stephanie, Shane, and Marissa McMahon.
"Docket ending 2242, the People versus Paul Michael Levesque. Multiple counts, Rape, in the first degree. Sexual assault in the first degree, aggravated assault/battery in the first degree. One count pre-Meditation murder in the first degree. One count of perjury. One count obstruction in the first degree. Eight counts of pre-meditation of murder."
Judge Austin Hall presided over the court and said, "How you do you plea, Mr. Levesque?"
"Not guilty, you're Honor."
"People on Bail?"
"The people request remand, Your Honor. Mr. Levesque is considering a threat to the victims and their families."
"Your Honor, this is an insult to the United States judicial system and my client's civil liberties. Mr. Levesque is a husband and father to three girls. Mr. Levesque has no criminal record and strong ties to the community."
"Your Honor, Mr. Levesque has had multiple charges against him, one being rape."
"The rape charge is the brogue."
"And may I add, Your Honor, Mr. Levesque threat to kill to the entire family a toddler and at the time unborn child if the rape victim spoke up. And who knows what he would have done to his wife after he got his hand on her family business."
"He never harms his wife, the mother of his children."
"That's enough, councilors." Leo and Alexandria both shut their mouths.
"Now, Mr. Adams, your client is charged with 12 counts, and a couple of those charges are Rape, pre-meditation murder, and attempt murder. Again, Mr. Levesque is a threat to the victims and their families."
"I am remand Mr. Levesque and that he refrain from making any contact with any member of the McMahon family and the family business. And the same thing goes for you, Mr. Adams. Next case." Judge Hall bangs his gavel. He is sealing Paul's fate.
