We've arrived at Serene Village!
It has a fitting name. I felt really calm just gazing upon the village atop that hill. And seeing the tree before the vast lake…It was nice. Peaceful. Serene.
It felt like everything will be okay.
Nuzleaf brought me to his home, a cute little house carved out of a tree with a leaf on top. Given how I'm a Chikorita, it seems appropriate for me as well!
He said I should be enrolled in school, and he left to take care of that. I guess I really do look like a kid in this world. I don't want to go to school, but if I don't Nuzleaf said the other villagers might get suspicious of a kid-looking Pokémon not attending school and wind up sticking their noses in our business. If they find out I'm being hunted by strange Pokémon, they might kick me out to keep the village safe.
Going to school means I'll have to pretend not to know more than the other students, and I'll have to be extremely careful with how I interact with them. Kids pick up a lot more than adults give them credit for, and if I'm not careful I could jeopardize our situation and get kicked out anyway. I don't remember if I'm good with kids or not…
Before he left, Nuzleaf had made it clear that I'm not to leave his house for any reason. I think he's worried I'll get lost before he's had the chance to properly show me around. The way he talks to me suggests that he truly thinks I'm just a kid.
How old does he think I am? I'll have him know that I'm actually...wait.

Ugh, lame. I guess it hardly matters. I'm older than I look, that's all I know. I'm unclear on if I even finished school in the human world, but I know that I went. I remember most of what I learned...I hate how patchy my memories are, at least if I'd forgotten everything...well, no, that wouldn't be better because I wouldn't know how to talk or write or communicate my thoughts and feelings. There's a noise coming from outside! I saw a shadow appear on one of the windows, but it vanished too quickly. Could it be those Beheeyem!?
I need to go investigate. Nuzleaf told me not to leave his house under any circumstances, but I can't ignore this! If they've tracked us down even here, I need to leave immediately!
