A/N: OK, so the first chapter went a bit better than I had expected. I mean, I thought that it would do badly since I'm almost out of my element here. But I was surprised that it went well and people seem to enjoy it.
So I just want to say thanks to you guys for the support and the positive feedback about the story. I really appreciate that people found enjoyment in the fanfic and I will try my best to make the story as best I could.
Also I'm kind of slow in updating, not only making the plot but also doing other plots for other fanfics that I've been working on.
Third POV
Darkness…
That is all that he could see….
Just an infinite void of darkness that consumes the entire area as far as his eyes could see. His body felt like he was suspended with no sense of physics, direction, or guidance. He just stayed there at a paralytic stage, unable to move a single fibre in his body.
He felt trapped. And yet at the same time, he felt comfortable, safe even. He knew that whatever this is he is in, he can relax.
Then suddenly, he felt a wave of nausea hit him like a freight train. Followed up by a tidal wave of sickness, lethargy, and a sudden decline of energy that spread in his insides like wildfire. Making him want to grip the nearby object to stabilize himself, only to find his own body had decided mutiny against him and was forced to endure the pain that had brought him.
Suddenly, his eyes shut open as he was greeted by the sudden rush of the freezing blizzard. His vision fazed as his skin touched the cold, wet snow-covered area. Grudgingly, he moved his head and groaned in pain as he felt like he had been trampled by thirty Rhino's at once.
He forcibly went onto his feet, making an attempt not to lose balance nor throw up. The man's leather shoes dis onto the snow as he stumbles back, gripping a cold hard metallic-like structure to support his weight.
"W-where…where am I?" The man said in confusion and pain as he groaned and clutched his head.
"Fuck…" The man muttered, before shaking his head out from his daze, before noticing that his vision was returning back to normal. The man then jumps back in shock as he sees several armed men Lay down to the ground, motionless and blood spilled and staining the pure-white snow. The man felt like he wanted to resist the urge to vomit right then and there, but he didn't. It wasn't the first time that he saw one hell of a sight. Not after what happened three years ago. So this was almost nothing to him.
The man's eyes noticed that they're rifles were destroyed and had serious laceration wounds that were five-to-six inches deep. The man gagged at the site a bit as he tried to know where he was.
Sorry, Ethan…..
BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!
WHY!?
"Chris…" Ethan thought in fury as he remembered what happened earlier tonight. He and his wife,Mia, escaped the Baker's home back in Louisiana three years ago. They moved in Romania, Europe under protection by the BSAA and Chris. Being taught the basic military training and trying to live their best after the Baker's, Eveline, everything.
He should've known….
OH he should've known that the whole thing was too good to be true.
Their lives were never the same after the Baker incident. He knew that the protection, the training, and the brand's start were just temporary. What happened back in Louisiana would NEVER let them get back in their old lives before. Knowing that Mia is working for a bioweapons organization on humans, Eveline is infecting the Baker's, how she tormented them on becoming her 'family', Zoey, and the victims.
It was just too much.
But now they can start fresh. Leave all that behind them, knowing that the nightmare is over.
They were relocated, they adjusted to their new life, and got the most beautiful daughter that had come into their lives.
But that was all gone by a form of a Chris, a military-like force, and a couple of shots to his wife's body.
"Rose." Ethan remembers that they had taken their daughter. They knocked him out and took her for god knows where. He looked around the crashed site and realized that they were planning on taking him too. But he doesn't care where or for what reason. All he needs is to find his daughter.
That's all that matters.
Suddenly. One of the phones from the deceased soldiers rang, catching Ethan's attention as he grunted while picking it up.
"H-hello?" Ethan said with shaktness.
"ABout damn time you picked up. Where are you? Is the package safe and secure?" A voice rang from the other side.
"What the fuck are you talking about? Where is Chris Redfield?" Ethan said with strife. "Where is my daughter!?"
"Who are you? This is a secure and private channel, you are not authorized to use this!" The voice said, making Ethan feel annoyed and frustrated.
"I don't give a damn. I said; where is Chris!" Ethan nearly shouted in anger at the guy. But before he could get anything, the line suddenly cuts off.
"Damnit!" Ethan curses as he takes a look around the area and notices that the blizzard is getting stronger.
"I can't stay here. I need to find Rose and get out of this blizzard." Ethanm said as he pockets the phone away and grabs the flashlight. He noticed that there were tracks in the snow, shining his flashlight and saw that the tracks continued into the woods. He was about to leave, until his eyes went to the dead soldiers.
Ethan's expression turned grimace as the thought just came to him. Ethan stood there for a bit, trying to weigh down his options in both morality and necessity. He was in the middle of nowhere, with no form of any leads, he was defenseless, his daughter was taken, and the only way he could do now is just follow the tracks and hopefully lead it to his daughter or he could just freeze to death in the blizzard.
Ultimately he had to make a choice. So with his decision made up, he walks towards one of the soldiers and starts picking the equipment apart from the body. He never condoned grave robbing, especially when they just died not too long ago. But in some cases when you have no supplies, or anyway to defend yourself, then this is the best option to go to.
Ethan took about a few good minutes searching the body, pulling out a P320 full pistol, extra magazines, several rounds, and a tactical knife .Ethan took out the pistol carefully inspecting it, before giving it a test to see if it was working properly. He checks the magazine release, the slide, before loading a clip and checking the ejection port to see if the cartridge is loaded properly without any issue. He satisfyingly nodded as the pistol was functional and went to his partner.
It took a bit faster to loot the body than the previous one but Ethan cursed as he didn't get as much from the body. The other soldier's side arm was destroyed, leaving most of the ammunition nearly run dry. Leaving five rounds of bullets and a near empty magazine.
With a sigh, he grabs the pistol and knife holster, and stores the excess magazines in the ammunition holster. So with that, he leaves the site, and follows the footprints.
A few minutes later.
It's been a few minutes since Ethan had left to search for his daughter. He shivered in the cold, clamping his hand together as he blew onto them hoping to warm them as he made it further into the snow-covered woods.
"D-damn it. At this rate I-I-I'm going to freeze to death." Ethan said, continuing to walk through the snow. He continued to walk, struggling with the fact that his vision was obscured by the heavy snowfall.
He was walking blindly for the past few minutes, hoping that he could find some shelter. A large rock, a hut, hell, even a cave would be good as long as he can get out from the storm.
After a few minutes, Ethan spotted something in the distance, before checking it out.
It was an old barbed wire fence that was torn apart. Ethan nodded as he didn't think twice and went in.
If there was a fence here, then he would be sure that there will be shelter nearby. He just hopes that it would be good enough to last until the blizzard has died down and he can continue to search for Rose.
The whole area was hell. The strong, continuous waves of wind and cold already made it difficult to navigate through, but the combination of the never ending darkness had made it near impossible for him to see now. He murch through the snow with purpose. Each step he takes the colder he becomes and deeper the snow goes into his legs. While he clutches his clothing with one hand and continues to make his way.
Suddenly, he got an eerie feeling creeping up in him. He stops and takes a look around, shining his flashlight towards the direction he was facing. He squinted his eyes towards the object where the lights only managed to hit. Then, he heard a rustle behind him. Making Ethan turn around and pulling his pistol, but with him not being a firearms expert, he drops it on the snow. He hurriedly bent down to pick it up, but was suddenly knocked out of his feet by something fast. Something large.
Ethan released a pained grunt, before hurriedly grabs the gun, and shoots a couple of rounds.
The sound of the guns shooting rings through the harsh blizzard ever so slightly. Causing Ethan to stop and frantically searched all around him, making sure that it was safe. He let out a shaking exhale and has made a decision that he needs to get out of here and fast.
Whatever the hell that knocked him down, he doesn't want to stick around anymore than he has to.
A few minutes pass by as we last see Ethan. The blonde man shivers violently as he hugs himself to keep warm. He saw some light in the distance as the blizzard started to ease up and the dark night sky started to lighten up. Ethan hurriedly went to the small wisp of light, and was greeted by a large crack in a mountain.
Etahn gave the crack a few looks and saw that it was just large enough for him to squeeze through. So he went in and released a grunt feeling a bit of a tight squeeze, but he made it through.
Etahn had to close his eyes momentarily by the strong gust of wind, before opening back up.
"Where the hell am I….?" Ethan said as he was met by a view. The view is what looks like an old village. Ethan saw the vast mountain range that looks like it surrounds the entire village. He noticed that there is also a large castle in the distance on a nearby mountain.
(A/N: Yeah… turns out I'm not the best at describing landscapes. hehe…)
Ethan was both amazed and relieved as he saw it. Amazed at how beautiful the view was and relieved that he can find some help. He exhales deeply as he takes a step forward, but immediately stops as he nearly falls down to a short cliff, which is easily three stories deep. Ethan instantly pulls back, and sighs in relief.
"That could've ended badly." Ethan muttered, but then froze as he heard a growl behind him. Slowly, he turned around and immediately saw a large pair of jaws aiming towards him. Ethan screams in shock as he and the beast fall down to the cliff.
Both Ethan and the beast hit the ground simultaneously before they rolled to the slanted ground. Ethan cried as he felt several of his ribs broken, and felt that he got stabbed, while wrestling the beast off of him. The two continue to fall down to the village, before hitting the ground.
Ethan groans in pain, feeling that the fall down had messed up his back, his spine, and he could feel that he is bleeding internally. He turned his head, and his eyes went wide as he saw the beast that had attacked him.
The beast was a large wolf-like creature. Big long patch of hair that had covered the top portion, and most, portion of its body, its giant yellow eyes looked at him with hunger and animalistic-malice towards him. Ethan's eyes went to it's limbs and as it was a lot more human-like, but were large and looks like it can easily cut him in half.
Ethan tried to scramble away and pull out his pistol. But notice that once his hand went to his pistol holster, he realized that it wasn't there with him.
"Fuck!" Ethan thought, seeing the beast turned his attention towards him, making Ethan gulp in fear. It slowly took two steps back before roaring.
Ethan tried to get up on his feet in panic and fright, but his legs buckled against itself causing him to collapse immediately. The beast saw his condition before pouncing onto him. Ethan gasped before grabbing his knife to defend himself, but was quickly knocked away by the beast. He quickly placed his hands on the beast's head as he saw it was aiming for a bite.
Ethan struggled to keep the beast away from him, pushing back as the Jaws were getting a little too close to him. Ethan grits his teeth, feeling his strength starting to wear off before the beast's had enough and breaks the hold and sinks its jaws into his shoulders.
"AHHHHH!" Ethan cried in pai, feeling the beast had shattered his entire half of his upper body. Blood rushed through the wounds, spraying it like a damn water fountain performance. Ethan uses his free hand and starts hitting the beast, only for him to pissed it off further.
Soon, the wolf-like monster started shaking its head rapidly while it's Jaws was still attached to Ethan's shoulder. Ethan screams and starts attacking back but with no avail. The beast then gave a huge tug, shredding a large portion of flesh from Ethan as blood gushed out severely.
Ethan looked at horror as he saw the wound that was left. Bits of pieces of exposed bone as he saw ruined parts of his artery were gushing out blood. Ethan felt his consciousness fading rapidly before shifting his attention to the monster that did this.
The beast stare at him with animalistic glee on the pain it inflicted. The beast's then walk towards him before pouncing again. Ethan, out of worry or shier instinct he doesn't know, hurriedly -and painfully- dodge out of the way. He noticed the knife was a few feet away from him, he picked himself up but was easily stomped on by the beast, crushing him with its weight and sinking its claws into his back.
Ethan screamed again but quickly turned around by the beast and saw it was aiming for another bite, forcing Ethan to move hand good arm. The beast's Jaws clamp together on his arm before violently ripping it apart.
At this point Ethan can no longer scream…..
He can no longer fight back…
The fall was more than enough to put him down for a couple of minutes to an hour, but it seems that it wasn't enough. Now his shoulder was wide open, his right arm was torn apart, and now he is losing a lot of blood.
Ethan had survived through hell in the Baker's house, and he is no stranger to getting his limbs mutilated, cut off, or even ripped apart.
But this… THIS is just as much, if not worse when he went up against jack. He already was injured thanks to the fall and the blizzard had weakened him before that. No way to fight, no way to heal... Now he was about to get eaten by this freak. Ethan's vision became blurred as he stared into the beast's eyes with a glare.
The beast wasn't fazed a bit. In fact, it growls in glee before slamming it into his chest. Then another, and then another. Ethan can just sit there and take the attack, his blood spread on the beast's fur, staining the snow, and onto himself. All the while he was unable to scream in pain on the amount of blood he was losing.
He's losing consciousness…
He felt so weak...so pathetic…
He couldn't save Mia from being shot. He couldn't save his daughter from being abducted from the man that he called a 'friend'.
And now...he's going to die like one. A pathetic man that couldn't even save his own daughter.
No….
No, no, no not like this. He wasn't going to give up this early just to be eaten alive by some rabid, rabie-induced dog that had one too many steroids. Rose needs him. He made a promise to himself and to Mia that whatever happens to them he would be their tooth and nail to protect them from any danger that would harm them.
And he's not ready to break that promise any time soon.
NOT LIKE THIS!
As the beast continues it's relentless assault, it suddenly launches away in a short distance by a great sheer amount of force. It whines in pain as it's body hits the large boulder, before looking at the cause who attacked him.
It was Ethan.
The beast looked surprised and furious as it saw the man shakingly get back into his feet. It was about to attack but held off as it saw Ethan's wounds were producing black and red tendrils on the chest, his bitten off shoulder, and even his arm starting producing the same blackand red tendrils before it saw that his recently ripped out arm was now back. Good as new.
The beasts starred, in fascination almost, as the biomass is healing and regenerating Ethan's limbs and wounds. Giving an almost perfect condition.
Ethan let out a groan before looking at the beast. The look on and saw that his eyes were not their usual brown, but instead were glowing orange-red with rage and determination. So, with a roar of fury, the beast charges.
But Ethan saw this coming and charged at the beast with an incredible speed that left a small indentation of his foot when he launched. The beast launches itself to tackle him, but Ethan ducks down low, avoiding the claws and grabs the waist and keeps charging until he smashes the back onto the boulder.
The boulder cracked by the sheer force of the hit, while Ethan heard a satisfying whimper coming from the beast before letting go and delivering a series of punches to the stomach and chest.
The beast tries to fight back, but couldn't as Ethan viciously slams it to the ground and stomps at its face with a terrifying amount of force. Ethan, lost in the flood of the sudden rushed adrenaline and emotions that he didn't stop stomping, bending down to the beast and delivering several lefts and rights. He continues this as the biomass starts acting up around him and the dead body. The biomass clings and works itself in the body and starts absorbing the whole body.
Ethan has stopped his punching as he clutches his head in tremendous pain, while the tendrils continue to consume the beast's body.
" W-w-w-what i-is happening to me!? AHHHHHH!" Ethan screams through the forest. As he was being hit by a sudden series of flashes that came into his brain.
"F-father...Where's mama?" A little boy's voice rang through his head. The tone was filled with fear and worry. The father looks back at his child holding a gun while both of them are in what looks to be an old abandoned house.
"Don't worry, Xavier. Your mother would be here. Once she does, we're leaving this village." The father said to his son, before quickly aiming his gun and shooting towards the direction where he heard a noise from out of sheer panic and fright.
The guns' loud shot Echoed through the house, bringing dead silence afterwards.
"Wait here." The father said, making Xavier nod as he approached the direction. Cold bead of sweat trickles down his forehead as his breathing becomes heavy. His heart pounded through his chest as he went closer before opening the door.
What he saw made him drop his gun in shock and horror. On the other side of the door, where he shot, was his wife. Her surprised and shocked filled expression drilled into his mind, before falling down.
"No, no,no,no,no,no!" The father yelled in panic as he looked at the damage he had caused. "Oh mother Miranda, what have I done!" He cried as he applied pressure to the wind, but the blood was too much.
"F-father?" Xavier stuttered in fright on his dying mothers body, before letting out a scream, as wolf-like men burst in the house.
"FATHER!?" Xavier shouted, getting the fathers attention back.
"Xavier!" the father said, but was then knocked away and dragged back.
"Let me go, you bastards! Don't you dare hurt him, my son!" The father said as he tried to fight back, but was then knocked out.
After that scene, Ethan saw the father being turned, experimented on, and was left for dead when proven incompentent. Ethan crushed down to his knees, clutching his head in the memories. Seeing, feeling…..He felt what the father had to go through after they had taken his son away. He felt his pain, his torment, his humanity being stripped away piece by piece. He can feel every ounce of those silent hopes and prayers shattered as he was turned into the beast.
It was too much for Ethan. Both psychologically and emotionally. He never felt like this….as if he had been there himself. Soon, when the biomass had resided, he crushed down to the hard snow floor. Unconscious.
In a Dark Abyss
Ethan groaned in pain as he groggily got up. He placed his hand on top of his head as he tried to get a grip on himself.
"Rise and shine, Snow White." Ethan heard a voice, causing him to shoot up and face where the voice's source came from and saw a man.
But it wasn't just any man. It was Alex Mercer.
Alex just looked at him with a passive look. His features were back to his full human form, before giving Ethan a slight smirk along with a huff of amusement.
"Isn't that a good little first introduction isn't, Ethan?" Alex said Ethan just stared at him with shock and dumbfoundus.
"What the fuck…" Ethan muttered.
A/N: And that is it for the chapter guys, I hope you have enjoyed that. So, so far I had this little plan on Ethan meeting Mercer and the Dimitrescu castle portion. But for now the chapter will end here since I still haven't gotten how things would work out and just got the basics down.
Also I will leave links on the weapons that were mention in the chapter.
KNife; .
Pistol: .
So that is for today, and I will see you guys in the next one! Peace!
