Chase: That's right. If you think writing multiple stories is easy, I would like to see you try it.
Kaz: Now, now Chase. Multitasking is very difficult, so you really don't need to threaten the readers.
Jack: Wow, Kaz, since when had you become the wise guy?
Kaz: Being on this team has taken it's toll on me.
Ben: Hopefully, not too much.
Chase: That reminds me. Kaz, did that black flash in the previous chapter felt familiar to you?
Kaz: That was my transformation.
Omarnosian10: Which is where this chapter will start. now then... ON WITH THE SHOW!
Chapter 5: The First Day on the Job
(Kaz's transformation scene)
Kaz's skin has suddenly turned pale green before it became reptilian-like. He grew a reptilian tail. His hands turned into claws. His legs became double-jointed. Kaz grew a reptilian snout and fangs and growled before silverish-blue armor covered his entire reptilian body, except for his black eyes.
"With a tough hide, and a vicious bite, I am Armored Lizard!" shouted out the reptilian Kaz.
(Back on the rooftop)
Before Rudy could get a chance to attack, Armored Lizard swung his tail at Rudy and knocked him toward the generator. Anchorsaur and Fasttrack stared at Armored Lizard in awe for his strength. Before Armored Lizard could gloat, Rudy appeared behind him and swiped his claws on Armored Lizard. Rudy's claws broke upon impact due to the armor, and Rudy cried in pain. Fasttrack zoomed behind Rudy and made a barrage of punches toward the sensei. Unfortunately, Rudy easily dodged the punches due to his reptilian senses and speed. While Rudy was distracted, Anchorsaur (who now has the shoulder disks back on his shoulders) grabbed Rudy's left arm while Armored Lizard grabbed his right arm, restricting him in mid-air while he struggles.
"Rudy, you have to snap out of it." suggested Fasttrack.
"That's right. Although we didn't know you for long, we know this isn't you. The venom is affecting your mind." warned Armored Lizard.
"If you won't do it for us, do it for your students." suggested Anchorsaur as images of Jack, Kim, Jerry and Milton flash inside Rudy's mind. Rudy stops struggling before his eyes returned to normal. Rudy took deep breaths before he noticed Armored Lizard and Anchorsaur holding him. Out of fear, Rudy's eyes turned into yellow slits before he performed a split kick on Armored Lizard and Anchorsaur's chest, forcing them to let go of Rudy. Fasttrack gasped before Rudy swiped his claws toward him. Fasttrack responded by zooming behind Rudy in a black-and-blue blur. Rudy turned toward the shape-shifting heroes and took a fighting stance before the trio copied his actions.
"I hope Jack and Kim are having better luck than we are." said Fasttrack. Armored Lizard and Anchorsaur nodded in agreement.
(Meanwhile, With Jack, Kim and Ssserpent)
"I hope the others are having better luck than we are." said Jack, unaware that Fasttrack said the same thing. Jack and Kim chased down Ssserpent to an alley. They were having difficulty attacking Ssserpent, due to Ssserpent's recently discovered ability to extend his body. Every time Jack or Kim tried to attack, Ssserpent used his snake body to dodge them. Jack and Kim are currently back-to-back and Ssserpent is currently surrounding them, hiding behind multiple dumpsters, recycling bins, trash bags, or vehicles.
"I hope so too, Jack." replied Kim before a snake hand suddenly flew toward her. Kim acted fast, and caught the snake hand. The snake hand started struggling and tried to bite Kim.
"Kim, don't let those snake fangs bite you. We don't want to end up like Rudy." warned Jack before another snake hand flew toward him. Jack ax kicked the snake hand before it retreated to the shadows. Jack looked around his side before he looked at his Skylatrix. Jack face-palmed before he activated the Skylatrix. Suddenly, a snake hand flew toward him from a dumpster. Not looking at the set form, Jack quickly slammed the Skylatrix before a red flash took his place.
(Jack's transformation scene)
Jack's skin turned into dark grey scales, except for his face skin, which turned normal grey instead. A shark fin grew out of his back, ripping through his red jacket. He gritted his teeth, revealing that they changed into shark teeth. His arms grew muscles, which ripped his red sleeves. His forearms became rocky before his fingers turned into stubby claws, along with his feet. Jack threw the red jacket away, revealing that he has orange bumps on his back. Jack shut his eyes before he opened them, revealing that his eyes have turned red with black pupils.
"Terrafin" cried the newly transformed Jack.
(Back in the alleyway)
Terrafin punched the incoming snake hand, hard enough to hear a bone cracking sound. When they heard a cry of pain, Terrafin and Kim turned to the dumpster. Kim turned to Terrafin before he nodded. Kim nodded back before she activated her Skylatrix. She re-rotated the dial before she performed a barrel roll while she slammed the dial.
(Kim's transformation scene)
Kim's clothing changed into an aquamarine dress with metal plating around the waist, a blue cloak with the hood down, white gloves, white leggings that make her look like she's floating, and a purple gem on the bottom of the front metal plating. She put the hood over her head, covering her whole face except for the glowing yellow eyes. Suddenly, two cosmic discs appeared and flew toward Kim. Kim caught them, revealing that the cosmic discs are actually blue fans with a star, crescent moon and sun on the sides. She put one over her face before speaking.
"Star Strike" cried the disguised Kim.
(Back in the alleyway)
Star Strike waved her fans toward the dumpster, shooting two stars at the target. The stars suddenly stopped in front of the dumpster. Before Terrafin could speak, the stars shot miniature stars at the dumpster, destroying it and forcing Ssserpent to evade the blast. When Ssserpent saw Star Strike, he sprayed venom in her direction. Star Strike began to spin rapidly, redirecting the spray of venom back to Ssserpent. The redirected venom hit Ssserpent in the eyes before Ssserpent tried to wipe the venom off.
"Looks like your own venom is your own weakness." quipped Star Strike. When Ssserpent finished wiping the venom off, he noticed that Terrafin is missing.
"Looksss like your own boyfriend bailed out on you." hissed Ssserpent.
"Who said I bailed out of here, snake man?!" joked Terrafin's voice. Before Ssserpent could try to find Terrafin, Terrafin jumped out from under the ground and belly flopped Ssserpent on the head, knocking him unconscious. Star Strike and Terrafin walked toward Ssserpent before Star Strike glared at Terrafin.
"You might have overdone your attack, Jack." noted Star Strike before Terrafin scratched the back of his head sheepishly.
"Sorry, I guess I got too excited with my new powers." smiled Terrafin. Star Strike shook her head before she noticed a small puddle of venom close to Ssserpent's head.
"Maybe we should bring him to Milton so he could make the antidote." suggested Star Strike.
"Way ahead of you." assured a familiar voice. Star Strike and Terrafin turned around and saw Milton with a briefcase and Jerry behind him. Milton walked toward Ssserpent before he knelt down and opened his briefcase. Milton took out a slide before he swept it on the spilled venom.
"I may be able to make an anti-venom with this, but it'll take some time, and I don't think your friends' power sources are going to last long enough." warned Milton. Before Milton and Jerry left the rooftop battle a while ago, they noticed how Ben, Kaz and Chase transformed. Star Strike and Terrafin nodded before they changed back in a red and yellow flash.
(Meanwhile, on the rooftop)
Fasttrack, Armored Lizard and Anchorsaur are currently surrounding Rudy, who is on top of a generator. During their allies' battle, they discovered that Rudy is slowly gaining Ssserpent's abilities, when he spit a wad of venom toward Fasttrack. Luckily, Fasttrack dodged it with his super-speed. Since none of their current forms have long distance attacks, they can only evade Rudy's attack. Well, except for Armored Lizard, due to his protective armor.
"Ben, how long can we stay in these forms?" asked Armored Lizard before Rudy dive kicked him. Armored Lizard used his forearms to block, allowing Rudy to jump back on the generator.
"About 45 minutes, but now I'm not sure how much time we have left." answered Fasttrack. During their trips, Ben told them about the limiter that their devices have, and a few other functions, like the communications, time display, and holo-maps.
"We have to think of something quick. If we time out, there's a chance that Rudy will make us like him." warned Anchorsaur.
'Alright, Ben, think. Maybe Fasttrack has some sort of hidden power. Nah. Out of all the times I had a mistranformation. That's it.' mentally realized Fasttrack before his left forearm began vibrating.
"Kaz, Chase, I have a plan. On the count of three, dog-pile Rudy." ordered Fasttrack. Armored Lizard and Anchorsaur nodded before they took leaping positions.
"1... (lifts his left forearm) 2... (reared back his left fist) 3!" shouted Fasttrack before he pushed his vibrating fist forward. A pressurized air blast formed and uppercut Rudy, throwing him in mid-air. Armored Lizard and Anchorsaur leapt toward Rudy and dog-piled him. Rudy struggled to get up, and couldn't attack since Armored Lizard is below Anchorsaur. Suddenly, a tranquilizer dart got shot to Rudy's neck before he turned back to human before falling unconscious. Anchorsaur and Armored Lizard got off of him before Fasttrack approached them. They all changed back to human before they heard a cheer.
"Whoo, I finally put all that spit-balling to good use." cheered a familiar voice. The trio turned and saw Milton, Jack, Kim and Jerry, who is holding a straw walking toward them.
"Nice shot there, Jerry." complimented Jack as he pats Jerry on the back. Jerry smirked before he crossed his arms.
"That was a dart filled with the anti-venom I made. It has drowsiness as a side affect, but Rudy will be fine." explained Milton. Ben, Chase and Kaz nodded before Ben spoke.
"You took care of Ssserpent?" asked Ben.
"That's right. The police are on their way to pick him up." answered Jack. Ben nodded before Kaz and Chase went to pick Rudy up.
(Plumber Ship)
Ben, Kaz and Chase are currently watching the news about Ssserpent's arrest on the ship's screen while Grandpa Max drives the ship. Jack and Kim stayed at the dojo since they live in Seaford.
"Ben, there's something I've been meaning to ask you. Why didn't you tell us that Fasttrack has Aerokinesis?" asked Kaz as Chase speaks for Ben.
"That wasn't Aerokinesis. Ben was using his super speed to vibrate his arm so that he could manipulate the air around it, creating a pressurized air blast." answered Chase. Ben nodded.
"Chase, we're at the Davenport Residence. I'll drop you off here." announced Max. Chase nodded before he walked toward the bay door.
"Chase, when you get home, tell Leo I said thanks for the sketchbook. The ideas he has will really come in handy." smiled Ben. Chase raised an eyebrow before he realized what he meant.
'So the vibrating arm was Leo's idea? I got to talk to Douglas about giving Leo a higher position on the team.' mentally noted Chase before he walked out of the ship through the open bay door. When Chase left, the bay door closed before the ship started moving again.
"So Ben, have you thought of a name for your new form?" asked Kaz before Ben gave him a confused look. Kaz sighed angrily before he crossed his arms.
"I meant the form you got by scanning Skylar, remember?" asked Kaz before Ben face palmed, realizing that he completely forgot about that little incident in Mighty Med.
"I need to know about his powers first before I could think of a name. I'll let you know when I find out." answered Ben. Kaz nodded before he decided to change the channel. When Kaz went to the Sumo Slammers channel, he heard Ben gasp in excitement.
"Sumo Slammers is going to make a live debut?! No way!" shouted Ben before Kaz turned to Max.
"Ben's a big fan of Sumo Slammers. I don't get why though." shrugged Max, knowing that Kaz wants to know about his reaction. Kaz nodded and remained quiet for the journey to Mighty Med.
(Morning, Logan High)
When Kaz (still in his new attire) and Oliver entered the school, the other students backed away in fear. When Kaz and Oliver found their lockers, Oliver noticed the looks that Kaz got.
"Kaz, are you noticing something different today?" asked Oliver while Kaz opened his locker. Kaz shrugged before Olver jerked his thumb toward the students. Kaz turned toward the students before an awkward silence filled the room. The silence was broken when one of the students slowly clapped, allowing the other students to cheer for Kaz.
"Why's everyone clapping for you? You didn't beat Animo's army alone, and that was the only heroic act you did." asked Oliver before Gus approached the duo.
"You mean you never heard?" asked Gus. Oliver shook his head before Gus pointed at the T.V on the high wall. Kaz and Oliver stared wide-eyed when they saw the fight with the Galactic Defenders against Ssserpent and Reptilian Rudy.
"There was a news copter there?!" shouted Kaz.
"Of course. How else-" started Gus.
"It's a rhetorical question, Gus." interrupted Oliver. Gus shrugged before turning to Kaz.
"So Kaz, what's your superhero name?" asked Gus before Kaz looked at the 20 on his jacket. Kaz turned toward the crowd, waiting for him to say his superhero name.
"My superhero name is (smirks) Kaz 20!" announced Kaz as the crowd cheered his superhero name.
(Meanwhile, in Mission Creek High)
When the Davenport siblings (Chase is still wearing his new attire) and Leo entered the school, the students that bullied Chase for the past 2 years walked toward them, including Trent, who is leading the group.
"What do you want, Trent?" asked Leo.
"To apologize, Dooley." answered Trent, shocking everyone in the area.
"Oh. Well, apology accept-" started Leo.
"Not to you, Dooley. To him." interrupted Trent as he points at Chase. Chase gulped, not knowing whether he should run or transform and get detention. Mostly the former.
"All hail Chase, the mighty transformer!" announced Perry, who suddenly appeared between the groups kneeling down in front of Chase, along with Trent and the other bullies.
"All hail... " paused the bullies as they try to think of a name. Leo looked at the 30 on Chase's jacket before smirking. Leo turned to the crowd before he fist pumped.
"CHASE 30!" shouted Leo, making the crowd cheer.
'Leo's a lot like Kaz.' mentally noted Chase as he hears the audience.
(Meanwhile, in Seaford High)
When Jack, Kim, (Again, in their new clothes) Milton and Jerry entered the school, a group of Black Dragon students approached them, Frank leading the group.
"What is it this time, Frank?" asked Jack while Milton and Jerry hide behind two pillars. Frank took out a scroll from his orange jacket before he opened it and cleared his throat.
"Wasabi Warriors, the Black Dragons watched you save your sensei, Rudy Gillespie, on the news. By showing wise use with your power, the Black Dragons want to surrender the rivalry between our two dojos. You may be outnumbered, but we are outmatched." read Frank before he put the scroll away and bowed, along with his companions. Jack and Kim stood frozen in shock, not believing what they heard.
"So you'll never bother us again?" asked Milton as he and Jerry move from the pillars. The Black Dragons nodded before Jerry latched on Jack and Kim's shoulders, in a friendly way.
"Whoo, thank you.. " paused Jerry as he tries to think of their superhero names. Milton walked in front of the couple before noticing the 40 on Jack's jacket and the 50 on Kim's jacket. Milton turned toward the Black Dragons with a smirk.
"JACK 40 AND KIM 50!" shouted Milton, making everyone cheer.

Ben: It's great. You gave me a new use for speed aliens.
Kaz: And I like the superhero names. They rule.
Jack: Why do our superhero names have numbers in them?
Chase: It's probably because of your forms.
Kim: So I have the most forms out of the whole team?!
Omarnosian10: No, the numbers are ranks. The 0s are just to make them sound better. Alright, don't forget, I'm still accepting ideas for Ben's form that he got by scanning Skylar. I need the clothing and name. Alright, now that that's settled, DEFENDERS OUT!
