Chapter 11: Chase VS Spike
(Mission Creek Warehouse)
In a warehouse full of high-tech, set to be shipped somewhere, the crates are guarded by what remains of the Forever Knights. Above them, looking through a glass roof, are the Galactic Defenders.
"How many are we counting Chase?" asked Ben as he pulls his sleeve off the Ultimatrix.
"About fifty, give or take a few," answered Chase as he rotates his head.
"The odds don't look too good." frowned Kim.
"For them," smirked Kaz as he follows Ben along with the others.
"How about we use knights?" suggested Jack. The others (except Chase, who doesn't have one) nod before they activate their matrices and slammed the cores down.
~Split Screen Transformation~
~Ben's transformation sequence~
The Ultimatrix started covering Ben's arm except for his fingers. After covering the arm, the green metal extended over Ben's torso and reached his other hand, covering everything but the fingers and the waist. A blue ring, similar to Danny Phantom's, surrounded his waist before splitting into two and going over his body. Green, knight-like armor covered his legs while a black helmet went over Ben's head to show a 3-pointed visor. Two ghost portals appeared by his sides before he reached into them, pulling out his OV Omnitrix-designed shield and a sword known as the Blade of Punishment. The Ultimatrix symbol flashed onto his chest and the sword's hilt.
"Phantom Knight!" declared the armored ghost.
~Kaz's transformation sequence~
The background changed to a medieval town. Multiple pieces of blue armor attached to Kaz's shoulders, torso, and knees. Kaz whistled as a purple horse with a yellow tail and mane ran towards him. Kaz jumped and backflipped before landing on the horse. As he passed by a blacksmith, his skin turned dark-green before he and his horse gained blue helmets with red spikes. The Dueltrix symbol formed on a belt and the side of the saddle.
"Swift as the wind, Swift Gaia the Fierce Knight!" cried Gaia as his horse neighed.
~Chase's transformation sequence~
Chase's jeans turned black before his jacket turned into black armor while extending to his knees. A black belt appeared behind his waist before it wrapped itself around it, revealing a purple amethyst holding it together. His shoes turned into knee-high black armored boots. Bright green chainmail appeared around Chase's chest and lower arms. Two silver bladed black gauntlets appeared in front of him before he put them on his forearms while his hands obtained black gloves. His upper chest armor closed, covering his upper chest before a silver ninja star appeared on the clothing below it. Chase put on a black helmet before black side-burn-like armor grew out from the sides. A black and blue faceless mask appeared in front of him before he snatched it and put it on, concealing his face. The Bakutrix symbol formed on his chest.
"Taylean!" cried out the Darkus Bakugan.
~End Transformation sequence~
"Ignitor!"
"Chill!"
Armored up, the Defenders jump through the roof.
"It's Tennyson and his sidekicks!" screamed a Knight, earning glares from most of the Defenders.
"Sidekicks?!" frowned Gaia, his horse neighing.
"Inexperienced, we may be. Rookies, we are not," added Ignitor, earning looks for his Yoda memé.
"He's a Star Wars fan," explained Chill. With that cleared, they engaged in battle with the Forever Knights, who are armed with Laser Lances. Being on the defensive, Phantom Knight and Chill relied on their shields to block the lasers and their primary weapons to cut away any Knights close by. Taylean, being the only one unarmed, relied on his bladed gauntlets and Attribute–exclusive stealth maneuvers to strike. Swift Gaia summoned a pair of red javelins and used those to parry against the Knights while his horse kicked or stomped them. Ignitor used his Flame Blade, heating the Knights' armor until they either fainted or got knocked out by the slashes.
"Comrades and mate, we have proven ourselves victorious against these mimicries," commented Ignitor after they finished all the Knights.
"…Fellow knight, I believe our task is not yet complete," said Phantom Knight grimly. Before anyone could ask, the warehouse repeatedly shook, following the rhythm of footsteps before something punched through the wall, destroying it as the Powerdizer (Fourze) walks in with a 'HARTFORD INDUSTRIES' logo imprinted on it.
"Well, well, Tennyson. It looks like we meet again." laughed a voice as the cockpit opens, revealing…
"Urien?! But thou has perished at thy hand of the Esoterica!" realized Phantom Knight. However, he noticed that the former Forever King appeared different from the last time they met. For starters, his head is nothing but burned tissue, presumably from the Esoterica soldiers' energy attacks. His armor is more white then silver and appeared to be thinner than usual.
"Dear Hephaestus…" gasped Ignitor.
"Who?" tilted Gaia.
"Greek God of fire and forgery," explained Taylean. Given Ignitor's Element and warrior class, it makes sense that he would worship that god.
"Forget my boyfriend's worship. What kind of armor is that?!" screamed Chill, pointing her javelin at the machine. Unlike her teammates, she can maintain her personality and speech pattern in all of her forms, hence why she doesn't have an English accent. When Jack asked Ben about why she wasn't affected, his leader only answered with "Spoilers".
"That's the Powerdozer, a weapon made from Hartford Industries," explained Taylean.
"And… the weapon… of your demise…" gasped Urien as the cockpit closed.
"Defenders, attack!" ordered Phantom Knight. Chill started by throwing an Ice Javelin at the Powerdozer, only for the mecha to backhand-slap and shatter it without issue.
"Slash and Burn!" declared Ignitor, swinging a Scorching Blade at the Powerdozer. Urien endured it and had one of his arms spinning. Right as he swung it, Phantom Knight blocked it with his shield. Enraged, Urien repeated the process with the other arm except Chill mirrored her leader this time. As the three enter a two-on-one power struggle, Urien failed to notice a Scorching Blade and javelin hit his back. He stumbled forward, letting the others hit the mecha. Unfortunately, they aren't doing much damage to it.
"Dear Hephasteas, what is this armor made of?!" gasped Ignitor, the Defenders backing away from the Powerdozer.
"From what I studied, it's made to tolerate extreme temperatures and animal attacks," explained Taylean. Given that the newest Ranger team will be facing enemies specializing in those elements, it makes sense.
"Unholy weather and beast attacks, you say? Perhaps it won't withstand… (slaps symbol and transforms) FOUR ARMS!" shouted the Tetramand (HU Design) before leaping at Urien. He then threw numerous punches onto the mech. Urien brought up his arms, blocking most of them before throwing his own. The punch launched Four Arms off him and into a crate, destroying it and letting its contents spread. Disoriented, he stood up, but not before hitting a button on a gun looking like it's from HALO. The device went off, shooting a continuous rainbow-like laser at Taylean.
"AAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!" screamed Taylean. It feels like his insides are splitting apart!
"CHASE!" screamed his teammates worriedly. Recovered, Four Arms shut off the device, letting the beam dissipate. Taylean slouched, his head low.
"Dude, are you OK?" asked Four Arms. The answer everyone got was—
Commando App Engaged
"RAGH! (takes animalistic stance) It's been too long since I let loose…" growled Taylean. Instead of tapping the symbol like he usually does, the Darkus Bakugan slammed a fist onto it, transforming.
"DELTA DRAGONOID!" roared the evolved, Darkus Bakugan.

"Since when can Chase use the Quick Change Function?" wondered Four Arms. As far as he knew, he never taught his teammates how to switch between forms, only back to human form.
"That's what you're surprised about?" asked Chill. Dragonoid roared before launching dark sphere-shaped projectiles at the mech. Much to their surprise, it actually dented the armor and made Urien stomping back.
"Preposterous… he's actually dealing damage?" awed Ignitor.
"I guess since Dragonoid evolved, he's Chase's most powerful form, right?" assumed Gaia. Four Arms hummed, glancing at his symbol.
"He might be onto something… let's try going Ultimate!" screamed Four Arms, slapping the symbol.
~Ultimate Transformation Sequence~
He grew to be twenty feet tall, he grew small spikes all over his body, and two devil-like white horns atop his head. His two bottom canines become larger, now sticking out of his mouth, his hair grew longer becoming white, and his Olympic bands disappear only leaving his pants. He grew two pairs of spikes on each of his legs. Finally, another pair of arms popped out beneath his lower pair, each now the same size and strength.
"Ultimate Four Arms!" screamed the hyper-evolved Tetramand.
~End Sequence~
"EEEEEYYYYAAAAHHH!" cried Ultimate Four Arms, leaping at Urien. Frightened, the Forever Knight opened the mech's shoulders, exposing missiles and launching them. Much to his teammates' surprise, Ultimate Four Arms exhaled dark fire, melting down the missiles when they got close enough.
"Awesome!" gushed Gaia.
"How does a gladiatorial-like race evolve to gaining control over the fires of Hephaestus?" quirked Ignitor. Once they got close, the six-armed alien and the mech threw a punch. Rather than a stalemate like before, the mech's arm broke, exposing circuitry.
"No…" gasped Urien, heard from the exposed arm. The mech threw a punch with its remaining arm. Ultimate Four Arms caught it with two.
"Looks like you've been… (ferally grins) disarmed!" punned Ultimate Four Arms, pulling the mech's arm off. At the same time, with his opposite arms, he punched through the torso. While tossing the arm away, he pulled Urien out of the mech.
"Curse… you… Ben… Tennyson…" coughed Urien. Sighing, the six-armed alien 'lightly' flicked the Knight's forehead, knocking him out.
"Allies, victory is ours!" cheered Ignitor, raising his sword. Ultimate Four Arms nodded, grinning as he let Urien down. As everyone reverted, Chase grunted as he shook his head, no one catching the saffron light flickering in his eyes.
"Are you alright, Chase?" asked Kim as they start binding the Knights.
"What happened back there?" added Jack.
"It's weird. It felt like my Commando App was taking over," explained Chase.
"I thought you can't use your bionics when you're a Bakugan," said Kaz.
"I can't. I've tried." sighed Chase as they finished.
"Maybe you should ask Donald and Douglas to look over your chip, to make sure it wasn't too badly damaged with that blast," suggested Ben, feeling guilty. Chase nodded, assuring Ben that it wasn't his fault. As they left, they failed to notice the weapon Chase was blasted with having an acronym on it.
SPLIT — SUBCONSCIOUS PROJECTOR LUMINATING INNER THOUGHTS
(Mission Creek High Cafeteria, the next day)
"You double-crossed me for the last time, Flo. First, I catch you smuggling fish sticks in your pantyhose, and then, you think you can walk all over me just because you look good in a hairnet?!" snapped Perry, walking up behind a lunch lady, just as she serves Bree her food before the bionic girl took out a hair from the mashed potatoes.
"Wow, hm, well, I guess the hair net's just for show. Eww!" groaned Bree while throwing away the hair before walking over to her siblings' table.
"Okay, heads up, stay away from Principal Perry," warned Bree, sitting down beside Chase, who is fiddling with the Bakutrix.
"Trust me, that's the first thing I tell myself every morning when I wake up." chuckled Leo.
"Really? The first thing I tell myself is shaving cream only looks like food." shrugged Adam.
"What's the matter Flo, nervous? You should be. One more mess up and I will take you out! (Leo looks strangely) What are you looking at?!" glared Perry.
"You keep me asking that question and I'm still not sure I can give you an honest answer," said Leo, worsening the glare.
"Mind your own business. If I wanted to be stared all day I'd still be a catalog model for Bert's Chainsaws," informed Perry before storming off. Adam starts to make strange faces.
"Adam, what are you doing? Why do you keep making faces like you're taking a selfie?" asked Bree, giving him a strange look.
"Cause that girl, Sabrina, has been checking me out. Ooh, there she comes. (she walks over) Hey Sabrina, couldn't help but I noticed you're staring at me from across the room." flirted Adam, getting up and smirking at her.
"Actually I was looking at Chase," said Sabrina, looking at Adam strangely.
"Sense of humor, I like it!" chuckled Adam. Sabrina turns towards Chase.
"Chase, I wanted to talk to you about that chemistry project." smiled Sabrina. Chase looks up, pausing the Bakutrix fiddling.
"Sure, I'll do it for you, just give me your email and I'll send it to you when I'm done," said Chase as he takes a sip from his drink.
"Umm no, I wanted to do the project with you. (Chase spit-takes on the floor) I need a partner, and I was hoping you would team up with me." explained Sabrina, shocking the un-mentioned teens.
"That sounds great. Meet at my house after school?" suggested Chase as he gets up.
"Okay, see you after school." smiled Sabrina before walking off.
"Wow, that was awesome! No one has ever asked me to partner with them in anything but sparring, especially a girl!" gasped Chase before walking off. Adam puts his drink's ice blocks inside his jacket.
"What'd you do that for?" asked Leo, giving him a strange look.
"I'm trying to wake myself up. A girl likes Chase over me, that has to be a nightmare." exaggerated Adam.
"Well, he is a superhero now, so having fangirls is normal." nodded Leo, arms crossed.
"Really? Like Bree having a poster of Ben 10 in her locker?" questioned Adam.
"(blushes) I—I don't know what you're talking about! (Adam and Leo look strangely) See ya!" yelped Bree before she sped out of the cafeteria.
(Davenport Lab)
"Well, according to these scans, your Commando App is less likely to glitch now," informed Donald as he looked over scans on the table, Chase in his casual attire standing in his capsule.
"Really?" smiled Chase cheerfully as he walks out.
"Yeah, the only way for it to be more likely is if you feel negative emotions, excluding physical pain of course. Or if you get another shot from that weapon, but with security that high, you'd have a better chance of seeing Adam get an A— on something other than P.E." waved off Donald.
"Good to know." nodded Chase while walking to the stairs.
"By the way, Kim's at the door," informed Donald while pointing at a screen that showed the cameras around the house. Chase looks at the screen to see Sabrina waiting at the front.
"Oh, that's not Kim. That's Sabrina." corrected Chase. Donald snaps his head towards him before he walked upstairs.
(Davenport Residence)
"I can't believe how fast you're putting this molecular model together." gasped Sabrina as she and Chase build their molecular model in the living room.
"I can't believe you're still here!" chuckled Chase. Adam walks in.
"You know what I like about you? Besides being charming and funny." smiled Sabrina.
"Well, it would have to be something else cause he's neither of those." insulted Adam while walking towards the kitchen. Chase glares at him before looking back at Sabrina.
"Continue." insisted Chase.
"You're nice, polite and even though you're bionic and a superhero, you don't feel the need to impress you with your muscles or powers," added Sabrina.
"Probably because he doesn't have any and his powers are lame." mocked Adam, annoyed by all the attention Chase is getting.
"Will you excuse me? (walks over to Adam as Sabrina nods) Would you give it up? She likes me, not you. And you said I would never get a girl." shook Chase, glad for once beating Adam at something but being mature about it.
"This doesn't make any sense. She is way out of your league! She should like me! Okay, I gave her my selfie face! Girls can't resist this!" shouted Adam as he pulled it.
"Well, she just did. Not everyone likes you for your face, Adam. Our greatest feats aren't admired by everyone. I accepted that a long time ago. You should, too." glared Chase before walking back over to Sabrina.
"Hey, sorry about Adam. Now, what do you say we get back to our atom?" asked Chase, making Sabrina start laughing.
"Ha! Ha! I don't get it!" groaned Adam while walking out, Sabrina and Chase laughing at him as he does. Nobody noticed the faint saffron sparks traveling from Chase and into a nearby outlet.
(Davenport Lab)
"Can you believe it? Chase has a girl over that isn't Kim! I had to shake her hand to make sure she wasn't a hologram." chuckled Donald as he walks into the lab, where Adam is sitting in the corner.
"Mr. Davenport, can you be honest with me? Am I not pretty?" asked Adam pulling his selfie face again.
"Just be happy for him. Chase is a sweet, sensitive guy and obviously, she likes that. Let's just hope he doesn't get nervous and mess it up." explained Donald as he walks over to the console.
"That's right. He could get nervous and mess it up," smirked Adam as he walks towards Donald.
"Adam, don't do anything to ruin this for Chase," ordered Donald, not wanting his oldest son to ruin his other son's chances.
"Oh don't worry, I won't do anything," smirked Adam before running out, not noticing saffron sparks coming out of a nearby outlet and hitting him.
(Davenport Residence)
"It's beautiful. And it only took us 4 hours to finish it!" Sabrina gasps as she and Chase look at their finished model.
"Actually, it was 3 hours 47 minutes or 13620 seconds… 4 hours is good. So I'll see you tomorrow at school," said Chase, motioning to the door.
"Well, yeah, but I don't have to go home right away," replied Sabrina.
"Oh, you wanna do Thursday's homework too!" suggested Chase, missing the hint.
"No! I was hoping we could just… hang out." smiled Sabrina.
"Hang out, yes, right! I… I keep forgetting you actually like me! I'll get us some snacks." chuckled Chase before walking into the kitchen, only to find Adam already waiting there.
"Hey! Guess what? Sabrina's not just using me for help in school. She actually wants to hang out with me. Not you! Me!" chuckles Chase as he pours cheese puffs into a bowl.
"Hey, good for you! And with all your experience with girls, you'll know just what to talk about," smirked Adam.
"Yeah." nodded Chase confidently, surprising Adam.
"Wait, since when did you start hanging out with girls?" blinked Adam.
"There's Kim, remember?" asked Chase, raising an eyebrow and excluding Skylar out of secrecy.
"I don't buy it. Kim's obviously a crossdresser." waved off Adam.
(Rustbucket 3)
"WHO DOES HE THINK HE IS CALLING ME A CROSSDRESSER?! LET ME AT HIM! LET ME AT HIM!" screamed Kim. Ben struggles to restrain her from destroying the monitor, the remaining Defenders spying on Chase's date.
"Calm down, Kim! You'll get your revenge later," assured Ben. She starts to do so.
"Ben's right. (leans towards Kaz as Kim sits down) List some pranks for Adam as payback." whispered Jack. Kaz smirks deviously.
(Mission Creek Warehouse)
'This is the most boring assignment in the world.' thought a guard as he watched for a nonexistent intruder alongside his partner. He knew that he wasn't supposed to talk during guard-duty, but at that point, he didn't care; he needed something to do besides stare at the ocean.
"Hey,"
"Yeah?" responded #2, bored as #1.
"You ever wonder why we're here?" asked #1. The other man looked at him through his night-vision goggles.
"That's one of life's big mysteries, isn't it? I mean, why are we here? Do we choose our own path, or are we the pawns in some big, cosmic game? Is some God controlling us, or is there even a God at all? I don't know, man… but it keeps me up at night." answered #2. #1 slowly stared at his partner.
"What the **** are you talking about? I asked why we were here, in front of this warehouse. I mean, we're in the middle of nowhere, nobody knows what's in this place, and we have enough automated defenses that having actual guards is pointless. And all of it is for, what, some smuggled alien tech that humans don't know how to use? Big freaking whoop." elaborated #1.
"Well, we have the weapons here because we didn't want any idiots fooling around with them. Isn't that obvious?" answered #2.
"Well, duh; I still think we could have left it to the automated defenses. So… what was all that talk about God?" asked #1 awkwardly.
"Nothing…"
"Wait, were you watching Red vs. Blue again?" asked #1, recalling where he heard that quote from.
"…maybe…" trailed off #2.
"I told you to stop watching that! It's a mockery of the military." scolded #1.
"Yeah, but you can't say that it isn't entertaining." argued #2.
"(sighs) You're right, but it's still a mockery." relented #1. They remained silent. A few moments later, #2 looked at him.
"Was it just me, or did the conversation bring up some deja vu?" questioned #2.
"An alternate version of us probably had this conversation." waved off #1.
"The Multiverse Theory? You actually believe that junk?" asked #2 in disbelief.
"We saw 5 teenagers with probably the most powerful devices on the planet, capable of turning them into extraordinary creatures, fight a madman in a power suit last night! Compared to that, the Multiverse Theory doesn't sound so crazy." shrugged #1. #2 sighed before rustling was heard.
"Do you hear that?" asked #2.
"The rustling?" questioned #1. #2 rolled his eyes.
"(sarcastic) No, the cricket chirping. OF COURSE, I MEANT THE RUSTLING!" yelled #2 lowly.
*BAM! BAM!*
The two guards fell unconscious, courtesy of a lead pipe held by a hooded figure with a bandanna and pair of goggles concealing their identity.
"For two robot-looking guards, you'd expect them to take a hit in the head." commented the figure while carelessly dropping the pipe and walking into the warehouse, unaware of a red beeping light coming from a guard's pocket.
(Inside)
As the figure walks towards the direction of the power suit, the lights suddenly switched on, revealing a plethora of Plumbers surrounding him.
"Hands in the air!" ordered a Plumber on a crate as the figure looked around.
"Aw, I didn't know you were planning a party for me." retorted the figure.
"Surrender peacefully and we may apprehend you unharmed." assured another Plumber.
"Hmm, let me think about it. (blue energy surround arms) How about NO?!" roared the figure as he released a burst of energy, sending the Plumbers flying and knocking them all out. Chuckling, the figure walks towards a crate near the power suit and opens it.
(Davenport Residence)
"Man, Weiss is such a…" trailed off Chase, he and Sabrina remaining on the couch and watching RWBY Volume 1, both snacking on cheese puffs.
"Tsundere?" giggled Sabrina.
"I was going for racist and an adult word, but that works too." nodded Chase as he and Sabrina put their hands into the empty bowl, subconsciously intertwining them.
"You know Chase, (he looks) You and Jaune are pretty much alike," noted Sabrina.
"Really? How so?" blinked Chase in confusion.
"You both got bullied, you got turned down by girls, you're both scrawny." started Sabrina, making Chase deflate.
'Wow, way to be blunt.' thought Chase.
"But your hearts are in the right place, you're both very intelligent, and you're both c—" paused Sabrina, blushing. Unfortunately for her, Chase caught it.
'Was she about to call me cute?!' thought Chase, blushing. Subconsciously, they lean in closer, about to kiss—
"He~re's Johnny!"
"Oh come on!" whined Chase after someone kicked the door down.
"Does this happen a lot?" asked Sabrina, disappointed/concerned.
"Not that much, just once or twice a month," answered Chase casually, irritating the hooded figure.
"Don't ignore me!" demanded the figure, taking out a familiar weapon.
"The SPLIT?! Why do you have that?!" asked Chase before noticing how the barrel seems to be sparking.
"Why don't you take a hit and find out?" taunted the figure as he shot it, only for Chase to conjure a force field over himself and Sabrina.
"Look, man, if you're gonna mug us, then at least do it when no one's around instead of a full house like an amateur," remarked Chase. Thanks to Ben and Kaz, his confidence has gotten a boost to the point he can antagonize his enemies easily.
"DON'T MOCK ME!" screamed the figure, switching the setting to MAXIMUM POWER.
"Are you mad?!" yelled Chase.
"YES!" answered the figure. Before he could fire, a Vac-Blaster shot knocked the weapon out of his hands. Growling, he lunged for it, only to be blocked by a Wrench Whack.
"Help is here!" shouted Spidermonkey, swinging in and webbing the figure to the ground. He only grunted before pushing himself up, taking some marble with him. Before he could break more, Spidermonkey shot a web line at him and threw him out the window opened by Jet-Vac and Sprocket.
"What are you… Were you spying on us?!" accused Chase.
"…N~o…" trailed the couple. Spidermonkey shook his head, nervously smiling. As if on cue, Kaz walks in, pulling his pants up.
"Sorry, I'm late guys. I was in the bathroom when you told me about some douchebag ruining Chase's da…" paused Kaz, seeing his teammates' glares. Before any more can be said, a pair of lasers came out of the still open window, hitting the ground in front of him and exploding.
"KAZ!" shouted everyone, worried. They were quickly relieved when a black flash occurred in the smoke. Flamvell Firedog, wearing a collar with the Dueltrix symbol on it like OV Wildmutt, leaped out of the smoke and growled before jumping through the window. Everyone followed him to see the FIRE Beast biting down onto the figure's arm.
"Get off me, you Mutt!" screamed the figure, slamming Firedog onto the ground. He responded by releasing fire, clawing at the figure's torso and ripping off the hoodie, revealing…
"ADAM?!"
"…You know, I kinda saw that coming…" said Chase dryly, looking at his brother's angry yellow eyes… wait, yellow?!
"But did you see this?!" He raised the SPLIT he grabbed before being webbed. He then shot it at Chase.
"AAAAAGGGHHHH!" screamed the Bakutrix wielder, kneeling and holding his head. It feels worse than last time!
"YOU MANIAC!" screamed Spidermonkey, shooting webs. Adam responded with his heat vision, burning it. Soon, the beam took a yellowish tint, followed by Adam groaning and his eyes turning back before an explosion of light occurred around Chase. It knocked everyone away, but not out.
"Wa—Oomph!" grunted Spidermonkey, slamming into a streetlight. Shaking his dizziness off, he looked back, only to gawk. Chase is on the ground, almost unconscious while in front of him, a spectral version of him starts flickering into existence, wearing his Defender outfit. Once it did, it changed color. His hair is platinum blonde like Albedo's, his eyes, jacket, and Bakutrix became saffron yellow, his shirt's white, his skin's paler, and the stripes are black. But his eyes… they're now those of a battle maniac.
"Who are you?!" asked Spidermonkey. The others (Defenders having reverted) groaned, sitting up from the ground, only to gawk at the new 'Chase'. Said person is flexing his hands as if confirming his existence.
"Chase…" asked Adam nervously. 'Chase' smirked, looking at him.
"Wrong person, brother!" spat 'Chase' venomously.
'That voice…' The others noticed. For the Defenders, it was the same as the warehouse incident. For Adam…
"Spike?!"
"My Commando App?!" added Chase incredulously, looking at his doppelganger. Is that what he sounds like when it takes over? Weird…
"That's right. (picks up SPLIT) After getting hit by this bad boy, I woke up in your little noggin. (taps temple, looking at Chase) It was for a minute or so, but I took control of your body… until you changed back, that is…" started Spike.
"You were awake?!" gawked Chase before realizing something. He never saw the 'Commando App Disengaged' update, so that would explain it.
"Yeah… I've been trying to get this bad boy back, but I knew you'd be busy and your Defender friends would keep an eye on you… so I transferred myself to the closest stressed bionic I could find… and guess who fits the bill…" smirked Spike vindictively at Adam.
"Me?!"
"Yup. After seeing how you reacted to my smart side getting a gal that you couldn't, I knew you'd make a good host… until I got my own body that is…" finished Spike.
"Wait, so is this the part where you're gonna try to take over Chase's body permanently, or is there more to this?" asked Spidermonkey cautiously. This reminds him way too much of Zs'Skayr…
"Are you kidding me?! There's no way I'm going back in that head! And to make sure of it…" started Spike, activating his Bakutrix.
"Don't tell me he's gonna…" started Jack. Spike only grinned before pushing down the dial, having done the improbable…
"SAURUS!" He transformed into an almost-mirror image of one of Chase's forms. The only differences are that all the blue is replaced with saffron yellow and the whole form has a yellow tint, similar to Ben 23 having a blue tint.
"This is Albedo all over again…" groaned Spidermonkey.
"Antimatter Burst!" N—Saurus opened his mouth and fired a stream of it.
"DODGE!" ordered Spidermonkey, jumping away. Thinking fast, Kim transformed into…
"Chill!" She jumped in front of them and brought up her shield, blocking the beam. Once it dispersed, she fell to her knee, almost dropping her weapons.
"Kim, are you alright?" asked Jack, walking up to her.
"I'm fine, Jack… That attack took a lot out of me…" sighed Chill.
"I didn't even know I could do that…" gawked Chase.
"Really smart guy? Wouldn't be too surprising since you rarely used this guy or this attribute. Dusk Strike!" Darkness shrouds N—Saurus's fists as he stampedes toward the human Defenders. They quickly transformed.
"Elemental Hero Neos!"
"Krakix!"
"Bash!"
Roaring, N—Saurus' fist met with Neos' and quickly overpowered it, launching him away. He then threw another punch at a Tail Swipe from Bash before adding another fist, knocking him away. That just left him and Pyrus Krakix. The latter swung his fire swords at his doppelganger. N—Saurus tanked the hits, hissing at the heat. Krakix kept slashing his doppelganger, who tried punching him but didn't get any hits in.
"Man, this guy is troublesome," said Neos, gathering with the others as they watch.
"Kaz, wanna try another Fusion?" asked Spidermonkey.
"Frick yeah!" answered Neos.
"Wait, let me have a shot at this!" insisted Bash. Neos shrugs, getting close to him. Bash starts glowing an earthly brown while his teammate glows. "Contact Fusion!" They flew upwards and merged into an earthly brown light with multiple rock columns appearing and the ground shaking. The 'twins' broke their struggle to watch this.
"A new challenge… Nice." grinned N—Saurus.
Once the light died down, a new figure emerged. He shares his shape with Neos except he lacks the blades/horns. Most of his body is covered in dirty brown dinosaur scales except for his underbelly, which is more orange. Rock-like spikes are present on his limbs and back, aligned. Around his head is a dirty brown helmet reminiscent to Ultimate Humungousaur's. His face is light brown, only having dark red, almost crimson, eyes. Around his waist is a black belt with the Dueltrix symbol acting as a buckle and on his chest is the Skylatrix symbol, both the same color as his eyes.
"Elemental HERO Bash Neos!"
"(laughs) You combined and made a new Fusion! Let's see how strong it is! Dusk Strike!" N—Saurus charged at the Fusion, attack ready.
"Stone Knuckle!" Bash Neos extended the spikes on his knuckles, meeting the attack head-on. The two collided, creating a seismic wave. They then got sent back before doing it again, entering a fistfight. As they did, Spidermonkey went over to Chill, picking her up.
"I'll get you inside so you can rest, Kim. Leave everything to us," assured Spidermonkey.
"Thank… you… Ben." sighed Chill, reverting and losing consciousness. Having less weight on his back, the Arachnachimp brought her inside, being greeted by Chase's date.
"How long were you…"
"Long enough. (helps Kim to the couch) So let me see if I get the gist of it, Spike was Chase's Mr. Hyde until he somehow got to Adam and used him to get a body of his own." said Sabrina.
"Yup. Can you keep an eye on her? Jack would kill me if I left his girlfriend unprotected." requested Spidermonkey. At Sabrina's nod, he leaped back outside, seeing the fistfight. As he watched, he couldn't help but notice something.
'Is… is Bash Neos getting tired?'
Once the brawlers got separated, the Fusion indeed showed signs of tiredness. N—Saurus, on the other hand, looks the same and his gauntlets are only scratched by the Stone Knuckles.
"At first, this was fun… but now it's getting boring… Let's see how you handle (punches symbol) ROBOTALLION!" The form's like N—Saurus; being a mirror image and having a saffron tint. It's safe to say that it'll be the same for the rest of his forms.
"Wait, how did you know the Quick Change Function?" asked Spidermonkey, surprised.
"Did you really think my smart side wouldn't try to unlock it?" snarked N—Robotallion. The others slowly looked at Krakix.
"In my defense, nothing I tried worked!" said the Pyrus Bakugan.
"That's not all I picked up. Prepare for my favorite… Attribute Change!" The Attribute Wheel appeared below N—Robotallion, Darkus under his feet. It spun clockwise until the Haos symbol is under him. From it, a pillar of light rose over, changing his Darkus to its opposite.
"He can Attribute Change/I can do that?!" synced the nonfused males. The wheel disappeared, letting N—Robotallion go on the offensive.
"Blinding Rays!" He lets off a harsh light, forcing everyone to shield their eyes. N—Robotallion then, in a flash of speed, palm struck Bash Neos on the symbols, forcibly defusing and reverting the two.
"What the—" synced the two. How does Spike know how to do that?
"Emboldening Strike!" He swung a light-covered arm at the two, knocking them down.
"Guys!" screeched Spidermonkey. He prepared to jump in until Krakix blocked him with a sword.
"No… Leave him to me." Backing off, he watches Krakix revert and slowly to his 'twin'.
"Giving up already smart guy? Found out that I'm unstoppable?" taunted N—Robotallion. Chase glanced at his teammates.
"You're wrong. (gets attention) You may have some tricks that I don't… But they're useless if you don't play them right. And besides, no one's unstoppable and there's no problem without a solution. It'd only be a matter of time before someone beats you… maybe even one of us…" said Chase. Suddenly, a blue glow occurred from his left side. Looking down, he lifts up his arm.
'Is this…' Like the Ultimatrix and Dueltrix, the Bakutrix reactivated itself, selecting a new form for Chase. As soon as he slammed the dial, a torrent of water surrounded him.
"Flashy," said N—Robotallion. Soon, it dispersed.
"Let's see you win against this!" Replacing Chase is Aquos Elico. The only differences are that his eyes are blue and the Bakutrix symbol is on his core.
"Another fish guy? You must really love the water. I'll drag you there once you're destroyed! Fusion Beam!" He fired a white energy beam coated with lightning. Elico only grinned before pulling his arms back and, much to everyone's surprise, declaring his attack.
"Ability Activate — Screw Blow!" Water began to spiral around his arms before he thrusts them forward, shooting them at N—Robotallion. The attacks collided and entered a struggle. A few drops of water hit the Haos Bakugan. Given that he's made of metal…
"AAAAAHHHH!" His attack backfired, letting the spirals douse him and worsen the shocks.
"Nice!" grinned Spidermonkey.
"There's more where that came from! Ability Activate — Scramble Zwei!" Blue aura coated Elico as he charged at his 'twin', claws reared.
"I know more than offensive moves! Kinetic Shield!" A white energy barrier surrounded him in time to block the claws. Elico bounced away, undeterred.
"Guess you're not so stupid… Too bad you're not the only one with this. Attribute Change!" Much to everyone's shock, an Attribute Wheel forms under Elico. It spun until the Darkus Attribute landed under Elico, changing not only his color but his design. His claws are hooked in the ends, the head fins are lowered to give off a hood-like appearance, his tentacles are tipped with scythe-like blades, and his shoulder guards are sharper.
"What the—?" Stunned, N-Robotallion almost dropped the Shield.
"Ability Activate — Acurus!" Elico puts his forearms together and spun in place, creating a tornado of dark energy. He then charged toward N—Robotallion. Much to everyone's surprise, he broke through the Shield like it was paper before striking the Haos Bakugan's gut and the N—Bakutrix symbol.
"THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENIN~G!" screamed N—Robotallion, getting launched to the house. He smacked against the wall before falling onto the ground, reverting and unconscious.
"You… lose…" sighed Elico, almost dropping to his knees if it hadn't been for—
"Sabrina?" blinked Spidermonkey, reverting.
"Get some rest, Chase… you've earned it." smiled the blonde.
"Thanks…" said Elico, reverting and closing his eyes.
"Let me help." insisted Kaz, going to Chase's other side. As the three enter, Ben and Jack look at Spike.
"So what're we gonna do about him?" asked the red Defender.
"Call Grandpa Max. Tell him to get an Albedo cell ready for our guest," ordered Ben. As Jack did so through the Skylatrix, Ben spared the 'twin' a worried glance. He couldn't help but think of how Spike not only knows the Quick Change function of his own matrix but the others' too. While it could be possible he got it from Chase, the guy never got it right. Heck, he never told anyone else how to work the other matrixes, and the only ones who do are him, Azmuth and their creators, and he doubts Earth has any tech that can travel through alternate realities. So many questions and so little answers…

Chase: Spike's fighting style is based on the moves used in the almost decade-old Bakugan Dimensions game.
Ben: This chapter is when Chase started his Ability Activate cries.
Kaz: Ventus Hex from the previous chapter is based on the actual Ability Card, the real-life one, not the anime one, if there was one.
Jack: Spike is going to be Chase's Albedo.
